IC System harrassment about about amount owed

Back in December of 2007, I received a phone call from Jan Ward(?) of I.C. Systems, Inc. with a phone number of [protected](?) threatening me with bad credit ratings and lawsuit if I didn't pay my outstanding bill (which I had no knowledge of assuming the two insurance companies I had coverage with, had paid the claims). I called my doctor's office who apparently had turned over the bill to this collection agency and told them of the phone call I received, explaining I knew of the charges but assumed they were paid directly to them by my insurance company. I also told a Miss Sandy Cooper and Dianne Sanford of Dr. Langford's office (my treating physician) that I was very upset with the fact that I received no telephone call or letter from them advising me that they were turning this matter over to a collection agency. I told them that I wanted my concerns brought to the attention of the doctor and put in writing that I was upset with them not following through with their outstanding bills and that I had gotten many, many unpleasant phone calls (I finally hung up on one of them) because of their accusations and harrassment. I had asked to speak to one of the managers at I.C. Systems in order to clear up the matter and was not allowed to speak to anyone except the person making the collection call. I have never been spoken to like that ever in my life (I am 68) and that their way of collecting accounts was not professional nor open for comment or discussion. Their main concern was to insult, harrass and demean the person they were asked to contact without even having all of the correct information. I would hope this company's way of doing business would be investigated as I am sure others have had this experience. Even if the amount due is correct, they have no right to talk to human beings in such a derogatory way.

It took me all this time to write this complaint because personally I didn't want to spend any more of my time on this but decided I needed to voice my objections to this kind of behavior. I also spoke to Dr. Langenbeck's office personnel and asked them to stop using this company if they wanted to keep their patients.

I owe $800 on a cell phone bill which is in collections with I.C. Systems. I lost my job six months ago and have no imcome at the present time. I agreed to pay in monthly installments toward the balance.
I don't have a phone yet they continue to call the person I am living with at least four times a day. This is harassment. What can I do?

IC System - harrassing phone calls

This company calls every day, five or six times a day, beginning at 8:15am or so, and continuing until 9:00pm at night. I have requested numerous times that they discontinue all calls and all further contact be done by mail. I have sent mail to this effect. Now I just do not answer the phone and my next step is to have my telephone number changed and have...

IC System - how to stop the calling?

I am 13 years old and during the day since it is summer break, I am babysitting my 10 year old sister. I.C. Systems repeatedly calls looking for our father and when I tell them he is not home, they ask for his cell number. I refuse to give them this info and the lady begins to be rude. I hang up immediately, but they always call back. I have been woken up...

IC System wrong number/continue to call

This company began calling my home on July 12, 2008. The second time their ID showed up, I decided to answer it even though I had no idea who they were or what they wanted. Since my son is on the road a lot, I felt I should answer it in case there was an emergency of some sort. I said, "Hello ... hello" (automated call). This woman comes on and asks for "Mary". I said you have the wrong number. She said, "You're not Mary?" No, I am not Mary. She asked me to verify my phone number by saying it out loud so it could be recorded, then it would be deleted from the system. Well I did, and guess what? They didn't delete it from the system. In one week they had called more than 21 times. They called again while I was at home and I answered it again. Voice on the other line sounded much like the first lady. Since my conscience bothered me after the first call, I sweetly told her again there was no Mary at that number and I hung up. Called again yesterday. This time it's a guy on the line. He asks for "Mary" and I say you have the wrong number for the third time. He asks me to verify my number out loud. I say "no." You have the number in your database so I don't see a need for that. He is screaming at me telling me YOU HAVE TO REPEAT THE NUMBER but I hang up. Does this qualify for harassment? My next step is filing a complaint against this company with the FTC. If they continue my next call will be to the local prosecuting attorney to find out what actions I should take.

I C Systems keeps calling our home wanting to speak to my son-in-law. We have told them numerous times that he does not live with us and to quit calling our number, but they continue to call. We were getting phone numbers on our caller ID but the last few calls said "private number". I ask the caller what this was in regards to before I gave them a phone number. And he said "What are you, his boss?" I said "I might be, I am his mother-in-law". That shut him up. I need to find a way to keep these people from calling and would file a formal complaint.

IC Systems calls my house also. They are trying to collect on a debt, that they say I owe from a Dentist Office.I do not owe this
Dentist anything. The last time I went to that Dentist he didn't
even do the work he was supposed to do.I didnt receive a bill.
Now this was in 08.If I had owed that Dentist anything, he would
have contacted me way before now. This Dentist has hired IC
Systems to collect $64.00 from me, that I dont even owe.A man
called my house from IC Systems one day.My brother answered
the phone and the representative was very nasty.I am writing
IC Systems a letter to let them know, I am going to contact the
FTC.I am also going to report the Dentist Office and maybe
turn the Dentist into the Dental Board.

I recieved a phone call on Thursday November 6. They asked for my mother, in which I replied that she doesn't live at this residence. The woman said " Thank You" and hung up. But guess what ... she called again the following day. I didn't answer. Well here it is Saturday the 8th of November and I get another call. I answer this time to tell them to please delete my number from their call list. Same woman as the first call on the 6th. I told her yet again that my mother doesn't live here and that I want my number taken off the list. I told them that it was illegal to phish for numbers of people who might have contact with the person whose debt is in question . She then proceeded to tell me that my number was listed as a contact number for my mother. FALSE. I know for a fact my mother would never give my number for a contact number. After I told this WOMAN this she yelled at me " give me her number" two or three times. In which I replied " take my number off your call list". Instead of saying, yes, this b***h told me she wasn't going to take my number off and she was going to continue to call, then she hung up.

Excuse me but I am not even the one who owes a debt and I am not authorized to hand out anyones phone number much less some one I love to harrassing b***hes. I believe that the person who called me was a contracted debt collector. Employed by I.C. Systems, but one that works from home. One it is Saturday and the 888 number for I.C Systems states that their office is closed, I left a fairly demanding message stating I wanted a supervisor not a customer service rep to return my call. I continued trying to call the number on my caller i.d. to get in touch with a supervisor. But my call was disconnected everytime. Giving me reason to believe that it was an at home debt collector avoiding my calls.

Well it really pissed me off that she refused to remove my number and then threatened me in saying she was going to continue to call, that I felt obliged to contact my local police. I called the Sheriff's Office and asked if there was anything to be done in regards to my encounter. Sure enough the very nice officer told me to contact a man who handles these cases and that he is the one to contact if and when this happens. So if you have these problems, just contact law enforcment because it is a form of harrassment.

I did some research on this company after I spoke with the Sheriffs Office . Let me say, why hasn't this company been shut down yet? I haven't read one decent thing about this company. I also so a bit where someone pressed charges against the company in the state of Texas. But regardless. Everyone has the same complaint. Harrassing calls, rude personel, threats, and refusal to remove contact numbers from their ever dialing call list.

So if it keeps happening call law enforcement. This isn't even my debt I owe but it just chaps my a** that I am getting harrassed. I will follow up on Monday with the man I am told to contact and hopefully get something done. I will also follow up on the 888 number for I .C Systems to lodge a complaint with them and tell them that I see its a common thing. I really hope this foul company goes down as a result of its blatant refusal to follow the guidelines of the Fair Debt Collection P ractices Act. For more information on it I found this website.

They are doing the same thing to me calling for someone that does not live at my number, I have informed them 4 times and they keep calling I have filed with the FTC 3 times now. I’m going to send a registered letter this week and then if they do not stop I will file in small claims court for damages. I say take $ from them and they will learn.

IC Systems just called me asking for someone that used to have this phone number (someone I do not know). Melinda spoke to me in a very nasty tone of voice when I told her that she had the wrong number and asked where she was calling from. I asked to talk to her supervisor. She transferred me to a man whose name I did not catch. I explained to him that Melinda had called me in error and then been very nasty. He told me that he would never believe me over her and that he wouldn't listen to a lecture from me about how to run his office. I asked again for the name of the company, which he refused to give me saying that he was only obligated to give that information once. He also would not repeat his name. I used *69 to get the phone number and called back to get the name of the company. I again reached Melinda, who was again very nasty. She said if I wanted to know what kind of business it was I would have to look it up online, so I did.
I'm just in shock that someone can be that nasty for a living. How do they live with themselves?

I had this same thing happen to me only they were calling my cell phone. When I told them the town in which they were calling was not even in my area code, they still insisted I was lying to them so that I didn't have to pay them. They continued to call several times a day and were threatening and harrassing to me. It took me calling the Minneapolis police to make them stop. An officer had to call them to tell them I was getting ready to file harrassment charges for them to remove my name. They did stop calling, but about 30 days later the calls started again. I reminded them of what I did and they quit calling. Call the police dept immediately if they continue to call you!

IC System fraud

IC systems just offered me a settlement for 60% but did not want to send me a letter in writing, I advised until something in writing is sent to me I will not pay a thing on a hsbc credit card which by the I tried to work with them but every time I called would get someone from India that couldn’t speak English, I have been a collector for over 17 years and this rep at ic systems was not helping at all, I am a write off collector and take very different approach but when they said I couldn’t even have a letter I said no after reading some of the horror stories here.

Just a quick note IC system does not have a single office in INDIA but they are an EOE which means if u actually spoke to someone of Indian decent they have immigrated to the states. Either way SOP for settlements is not to send any extra mail unless necessary, Had you been adimant that you wanted a letter you would have gotten one

We paid IC System three pmts directly from our checking acct to resolve an old JCP acct. Now, a year later, a different collection company is harrassing us for the money. I have no "proof" from IC that the account was resolved and they will not provide me with one even though I have bank statements showing the three pmts made to them.

IC System harassing, relentless phone calls

IC Systems has been calling 7 days / wk for about 2 months now with harassing phone calls. My wife answered the phone one time, and they asked about a credit card we do not have. Within 2 questions, they were asking for Social Security information, which she refused to give. Because she refused to give any further information, they said they would continue to call and call. And they have. Listing their numbers on the "Do Not Call Registry" doesn't work. They use a variety of phone numbers. They easily call between 5-10 times a day. At least caller ID allows us to never have to pick up when they call.

Fair Trade Commission states that collectors are prohibited from "repeatedly use the telephone to annoy someone". I would file a complaint with FTC and also with the Association of Credit and Collection Professionals (ACA). IC Systems boasts their membership with this organization when they market their services to creditors. ACA prohibits conduct that violates their Code of Code and Code of Ethics (which is in line with Fair Credit Act). If they can substantiate your claim they can strip IC Systems of their prestigious membership which would make them less competitive in the market. Then maybe less creditors will want to give them business in fear of a lawsuit therefore eventually putting them out of business. Or at least if enough people file a complaint with ACA maybe it will raise red flags and the organization will scrutinize their affiliation with IC Systems. It's worth the time.

IC System rude, threatening and abusive behavior

Everyday, very early in the morning and late at night we get phone calls from this company. We answer the phone and a pleasant woman fields the call to an abusive male debt collector.

Our account came past due on our cell phone with Sprint. IC Systems says that they bought the debt from Sprint and we now have to pay them. When we try to set up payment arrangements they either hang up on us or say "Refusal to pay noted on your account" then hang up. I called them back...I was ready for a good fight. I explained what had happened to the new operator and he tried to do the same thing. I was having none of it. I told him that it was NOT a refusal to pay, that we are trying to arrange to pay the debt in full the following Friday (which happens to be our pay day). He then yelled at me "How is this NOT a refusal to pay?!" I calmly replied back that it was not a refusal as I am trying to set up the payment arrangement. After he continued to yell at me, I told him not to call the house again that I would be contacting an attorney and hung up on him...all the while he is still yelling and screaming at me/over me.

I then decided that since it was so late in the evening (9 pm) I would call customer service for Sprint. The woman I spoke to about the debt was incredible. She was kind, curtious and apologized for something beyond her control. She told me that NO the debt had not been sold to anyone, but YES it had been placed in coleection, BUT would not be sold until July 3rd. We found reprieve! We made arrangements to pay the debt in full and have service restored with a much better plan. I am DYING to speak with IC Systems again...through a lawyer.

I have told them not to call again as we are aware of the debt. After doing this any call that comes after is harassment and I will be recording them (letting the caller know that it is being recorded). Needless to say, I am angry with this company and the people that they have working for them. This is bad business no matter how you look at it.

I canceled my sprint account in may 2008 because my phone was stolen and the bll was $300 and the customer service was unwilling to help in anyway. My bill was normally $100 per mont. I recieved a bill in June for $800 dollars which I did not have at the time. I made $100 payments June July And August. In August I received a letter form I C Systems stating that It would go on my credit report if I did not pay in full by 8-29-08. How could it be sent to collections if I never stopped making payments? Anyway I payed it in full 9-12-08 but it is already on my credit report. Does this sound like fair credit reporting?

Any comments?

i disagree... ic system has been nothing but nice to me with helping me set up a payment arraingment!
i dont think they would have marked your refusal if you would have just set up a post dated check by phone. that would have solved that whole issue, because then they can secure that account from credit reporting. problem solved.

I C Systems has continued harassed me about a bill that I verified with the provider doesn't exist. They have confused me with another person with my same name that lived in Virginia in the last ten years.

I have mentioned this to these people, again and again, that I have verified with the provider that I don't owe them any money. However, they have continued to use harsh language and threaten me. Their conduct and practices are totally improper and should not be allowed to do business.

They also did this with the State of Virginia claiming I never filed a tax return. I just received a letter from the Treasurer of the state stating my account was in good standing.

They call almost constantly, and I finally picked up to tell them to put me on the do not call list to ask for my grandfather, who passed away recently.
I tell them he passed away and they start asking for his power of attorney. We never had any dealings with them, and don't plan to.
The calls come about four times a day.

These are the rudest people I have ever talked to. They have made comments to my kids, which is totally unexceptable. They are rude from the first moment you call except for a lady named Latasha, she was very helpful and tried to help. I explained to them I had accepted a settlement and now they are trying to say that is no good and have doubled the amount. They should be put out of business. Calling my house then my cell phone within a minute of each other. Several times a day. This use to be harassment.

IC System continuous calls

I.C. Systems calls my house at least 5 to 6 times a day this is including weekends. The person that the calls are pertaining to no longer live at my resident. I tried to talk to them but most of the time the representative has an bad attitude. Elderly disabled people live at this resident and it is hard for them to continuously get up and answer the phone. I do not want to change my number because we have had this number over 60 years. I am very tired of the harassing phone calls.

I too am an IC rep and trust me, I know people go though rough times. But, honestly, we have a policy we have to follow not to mention we never know who is lying and who isn't. So just because you say "i lost my job, my dog is is the hospital, and my checkbook is in the car.. oh and also it's raining so i can't put a money order in the mail" doesnt mean you dont owe the debt. Our job is to collect the money you failed to pay, regardless of the situation. We aren't here to comfort you and if you are recieving "harrassing" or "abusive" phone calls then why don't you report it to our superiors?

The ### that posted this comment obviously doesnt realize that he solely represents an agency here. and If that is how he feels about his clients, then what the hell is he doing collecting debts.

I work for a debt collection agency and where I work, we understand hard times. yes you have to be pushy to collect debts but you do not have to be abusive...Im calling these lowlife ### tomorrow just to push them.

Let them violate FDCPA with me, It will be recorded.

What a dip! If someone has debt and has the money to pay that debt, then yes, they are ### if they refuse to do so. However, when you lose your job and face unemployment in a very uncertain economy, then you do what you have to do. Thousands of people have lost their jobs this week alone, over 50, 000 people! I was laid off in June and have struggled with unemployment money going towards credit cards, food, clothes, etc.. and trying to find another job in the middle of it. Yes, I too am behind on my bills, but not because I am ### or that I don't care. It is very degrading to me to know I cannot make the payments, but that's ok. I know who I am and what I stand for and I don't need a rude, IC rep to tell me that I am talking over him and to shut up. That is totally unnecessary and not a good way to get someone to pay anything. Manipulation is not something I respond kindly to. I wonder how the IC reps manage to look at themselves in the mirror each day knowing how they treat people. God help them if they ever lose their jobs!

No calling me 7 times a day and harrassing me is a violation of my rights. You collectors have NO IDEA what has happened at our house to cause this situation. Of course you don't care and that is the problem with America today, nobody cares about nobody. Well I was all for payment arrangements and eventually a settlement, but come on, I cannot trust a collector with my checking account info. Do you take me for a fool? But to say I refuse to pay, it absolutely far from the truth. I got behind on my mortgage because I paid WaMu faithfully while we were having hard times. So I decided I need my house, car and food for my kids. I had to give up something during these times and that would be WaMu. Considering I was never late on a payment and they raised my interest from 9.9 to 29 in one month. Guess what, they received what I borrowed long before now, they can eat the interest.

Attn: IC REP

No, it's not illegal to collect a valid debt but it is illegal to be abusive or harassing per the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).

Consumers often face legitimate hardships (divorce, illness, loss of employment, etc) that make it extremely difficult if not impossible to pay off delinquent debt. It is not necessary to harass debtors or relatives of debtors in the process of collecting. Follow the guidelines of the FDCPA --- it's the law! Something to think about besides your commission.

Contact the attorney general's office and also send IC Systems a letter to stop calling you. Make sure it is a certified letter so you can prove you sent it and they received it. I keep getting calls 10 times a day from these people and they are a 3rd party collector and it is in violation of the fair debt act to call a private residence more than once a day and they refuse to abide by the laws. Contact Attorney General's office...

IC System harassment to the third degree!

I too have fallen prey to the incompetent representatives at IC Systems. Two years ago I was hospitalized with a serious heart condition. My health care provider somehow obtained incorrect information regarding my insurance provider. After contacting them (several times) to give them correct information, they continued to submit claims to an insurance company I had never heard of. Was that MY fault? I think not. Then, for about a year, I heard nothing from them. One day I received a notice from IC stating the account had been turned over to them for collection, and I needed to pay immediately. I explained to them what had taken place, and advised them I was going to contact my insurance company to see if I could get assistance in settling the account. A day or so later, another representative called me at 8:30 p.m. (isn't there a cutoff time for these calls?) and proceeded to yell at me, call me a liar, and continuously interrupt me when I tried to speak. I am still in the process of getting this account settled, and pray that once it is settled, they will leave me alone. I've considered seeking legal advice, but what would/could they do to help? These people need to go back to primary school and learn how to treat others with respect.

IC System harrassing telephone calls

This company called me last week.. The person who called was giggling and laughing over the phone. I said good evening and who are you ? Why are you calling me. They hung up. I called them back to find out who they were and why they were calling me. They said I owed $444.28 to Baldwin ELectric Company in Summerdale, Al. I said no I didn't . I paid BEMC when I left Alabama August of 2008. They were to turn off my electric September 2 2007. Evidently they didn't do it til Novemeber of 2007. I called Baldwin EMC on May the 5th 2008 to confirm the bill and told them I would pay them that day . I did make the bill payment on the 6th of May, 2008. Helene, the lady from Baldwin EMC noted they called IC System May the 6th 2008 and told them I paid them that day 6th of May 2008. I got harrassing calls all weekend from May the 7th through tonight May the 13th. A lady by the name of Kim from IC Systems explained that they could call me up to but not to 36 hrs after I paid the bill. I am very tired of being harrassed by a company that was founded by honest people then turned to dishonest, harrssing people, liars, that don't know how to respect people . Please explain to me how I can stop these people from being so dishonest to people . Donna Brizendine

THE ONLY THING YOU CAN DO IS TO SEND A LETTER TO THE COMPANY AND ADVISED THEM TO QUIT CALLING YOU. YOU MUST BE NOTIFIED MAIL. MAKE SURE YOU SEND IT BY CERTIFIED MAIL SO A REP. FROM THIS COMPANY SIGNS FOR IT.
IF THE COMPANY STILL CALLS AFTER THE LETTER HAS BEEN SENT THEN YOU HAVE A RIGHT TO SUE THEM FOR HARASSMENT AND THE CREDITOR. THIS IS ARE RIGHTS. PLEASE NOTE DO NOT PAY THEM WITH A CHECK, PAY THEM WITH A MONEY ORDER. THEY DO NOT NEED ACESS TO YOUR CHECKING ACCT.

IC System rudeness

I have been in a severe auto accident and just got to the stage of being able to call all my creditors. So far everyone has been nice and working with me. Until I contacted IC Systems. They were extremely rude and was treating me as if I am a lier and have no intentions of paying my debts. I have had excellent credit till my accident, I am still suffering from nerve damage and can not go to work. They call me house 10 times a day or more.

If you are disputing the amount owed with WAMU send IC Systems a letter (certified) that you dispute the amount and tell them they must prove the amount they are collecting is legitimate. Once they receive letter they cannot contact you until they provide evidence. Any communications other than that is in a violation of Fair Credit Act. Report them to FTC and Association of Credit and Collection Professionals http://www.acainternational.org/codeofconduct.aspx?cid=11672.

They are rude and unbelievably trained to call you a liar, talk over you, get an attitude and it is like talking to a brick wall. I informed them that Washington Mutual and I were in a dispute over the amont and they said no you owe the money. Then I said I cannot beleive that you talk to your customers this way, and Agents: Amanda, then John, then Kathy-all told me the SAME exact line "YOU ARE A DEBTOR< YOU ARE NOT A CUSTOMER". I said "I am informing you under the fair debt collections act that I am telling you to stop calling me". They said "we will continue calling you every day, , several times a day".

They actually had been doing that, but I decided to call them back and talk to them in a cheery voice, and every time they started to talk over me, I just hold the phone away and surf the internet because they womn't hang up until they make you crazy. So I just kept checking to see if they stopped talking then I would say, is it my turn to talk?
Then i would just ask the same question "can I have your address?". No they would not give it to me.I made them crazy til they hung up on me! i was lmao.

I HAVE THE SOLUTION: I calle www.prepaid legal.com here is the site:

www.prepaidlegal.com/hub/rj

sign up there- a friend told me they could help and it was free (courtesy 1st time)

[protected]) and for 16 bucks (membership fee) a month (the standard plan), you can get law advice and the first consultation is free from a reputable law firm in your area, and it includes the letter that tells them by law they have to stop calling you!

Then you can sue them and own the credit collection agency. Thats my next plan of attack AFTER the phone sex i plan to do..."mmmm, i like t that way amanada...oh john, your so hot, i was with your mnother last night...she was really good john, i hope you can please me too..."
Just some ideas people! These people are ###, treat them that way and have fun with it.

The last time Amanda hung up on me i was saying wait this is so much fun!

And yes i am talking about IC Systems of california their phone number is :

these ic systems people called me at 8am, wouldnt tell me who they were, so i wouldnt verify any of my information for them. the rep hung up, so i looked the phone number up online to find out who they were. after several calls to these jerks i finally got someone on the line who would help, dave. he said i owed washington mutual for a visa card. since i dont even have a visa credit card i asked if they had the wrong person. he told me the last 4 digits of a ss# and asked if it matched mine. it didnt. he looked into it a lil more and discovered, wonder of wonders, they were calling the wrong person.he said he would get my phone number removed from their calling systems, so thanks dave. to the other jerks i spoke to, kiss my [censored].

I agree with theri rudeness and harrassment. we continue to get calls from them after the bill was paid 5 years ago! They will not listen, my husband send in all of the information that bill was paid, and on time mind you, and they tell him to send in again. We send in the information through the courts, which I hate to tell IC systems has a lot more power and clout then they do! They told us in the past it would ruin our credit report. We told them how? We have a paid off house, three cars and a motorcycle, all paid for and two cars paid for in cash! We also pay off EVER Y credit card every month. If they think a $800.00 bill is going to ruin our credit report after the bill has been paid for they are crazy! We have caller ID so when we see the number we answer and hang up in 2 secs! What a bunch of morans!

Hey all,

Just wanted to add this piece of information. A look at their home page on the web looks pretty friendly to me :}
Or is it just a wolf in sheeps clothing.

I also wanted to say that I have great credit and owe no one ( except mortgage and auto's ) and those I do owe, are paid on time and some even have account credits.

These people ( or computer ) are relentless. They have called 147 times and never leave a message. I stopped answering the phone some time back when there was no one there. They call at all hours.
What they are doing is finding out when you are most likely to be home by when you answer the phone during the day or night. I have the capability to have my phone not ring to their phone number. When I call their number, It just rings and rings.
It would be nice to know who they are collecting for. Maybe I would like to use them sometime if I need to harass someone for no point at all ( since they never are on the line when I answered or when I called their number ).
Also folks, If you DO get a body on the line, DO DOT give them ANY INFORMATION over the phone. Have them send you a registered letter with their name and address on the outside of the letter as well as on the letterhead. The body of the letter MUST explain who they are and who they are collecting for. There should also be a reference to your debtors account number as well as an account number that their company has assigned to your file.
If they are not willing to provide any of this information, ignore them and report them to the Better Business Bureau.
Be prepared to give all of the information you have collected up until your contact with them ( the BBB ).
I hope this helps.

IC System debt collection!

I am in need of speaking with the Head of IC Systems. I have been transferred to several "Account Supervisor's", yet none of them would listen and try and resolve this problem of my account. Chris-Supervisor was exceptionally nice and was willing to work with me and when I was going to send him the information, 4 days later, he told me that the account was transferred to Collect Corps. I then worked with them, as they always made me have a smile on my face when working with them. Four days later, that account was sent back to IC Systems. I spoke with Mike today, March 22, 2008. He hung up on me numerous times; very rude; would not let me explain the situation; made demeaning comments about my mailbox not leaving it's spot and rudely how to put paperwork in an envelope. I asked to speak to his supervisor and he would just keep on angrily fighting with me. I spoke with Carol 2 times. The first time was to get a fax number that Mike and I had spoke about a Fed Ex store--which is over 1hr from our residence. She transferred me to him and said there is no fax there and hung up. I called again and Carol answered and I told her not to transfer me to Mike, but to someone else and she hung up with me.Anyways, Capital One is going to take care of everything and pay Washington Mutual. I would love to speak with the head of IC Systems to explain the rest of the story. I am going to also report Mike at IC Systems to the Better Business Bureau.

Sincerely, Kimberley.

I called the company I originally owed my debt to and they proceeded to say they could no longer help me, that I needed to speak to I.C System since they are working my file...the representative at I.C was able to get me on a program lowering my interest, stopping late fees, and getting me a payment that I was able to work with...I was recieving these calls, and now that I have paid the calls have stopped and my bill is paid off!

Demand certification of a debt, including copies of your agreement or signature. Send them the letter notifying them not to contact you certified. Go back to the original place you incurred the debt if you have to. However, if you ask for original paper work or debt certification and they can not obtain the same...well!

These "bizzaro collection companies" pray on people with no knowledge. They must provide information to you. However, phone conversations seem to go no where except bad. In many cases, telephone conversations are simply one sided favoring the collector. Google them, chances are there are law firms that will look at your case and help.

In any case, be careful! Record the conversation legally if you have to talk. Keep records, paper work, mailings. If you do make arrangements to pay the debt, do so in writing with full closure of the debt in writing. If you do not get full closure...they will be back!

I had to turn off my phone all day all night so that I would miss their calls. They constantly call anytime of the day and when I answered, they wouldn't disclose any other information on my "personal business matter". I don't know who put me on their system since they wouldn't tell me. And they still call and I don't know how to stop them.

I personally hate the ic system. They called me screaming at me because i didnt pay my bills because i had a baby and i lost my job. I dont know the name of the person but i think his name is Mike. I was actually willing to pay it off but with the attitude. When i asked his name, he didnt want to give me. He was literally screaming at me saying.."Why dont you pay your bills?" "Pay you dues". This is RIDICULOUS!.

Owner of the company is a guy named John Erickson. Son of the original owner Ruth. She built the company on sound principles. She is long gone and the company keeps going and growing undoubtedly some controls over agents has been lost. Best results to stop the harassing calls is to send a letter stating you wish no further contact. (under FDCPA) they can send you one more notice with their intentions ie court etc. They won't mess with court over small stuff. Read the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act. If they continue to harass you there are plenty of lawyers willing to take them on and if you win you won't owe a dime.

I was placed in this company by my dentist. I had $800.00 of work done which at that time I had insurance which was verified. What dentist do you know will perform that amount of work without verifying insurance or securing payment? Anyway, there was a mix up with my insurance after I left my job and I guess the claim wasn't paid. I was never contacted by my dentist therefore did not know of the situation. I received a call from ICS saying that I owe and need to pay them today. First of all, I don't have 800.00 just laying around, second your firm stone tone was not going to make me have it. Also, I told her that I wasn't aware of the bill and needed to call and find out what is going on then I'll call and make arrangements. I was told that I was refusing to pay the debt and was listed as such. What part of what I just said mentioned that I was refusing to pay?

i get them calling too for a year they have been bugging me for financial strains that i cannot obligate myself to at this tough time, and financial situations i put myself into because of stupidity and foolishness, i was working a job, and paycheck to paycheck, when i spoke with them, no one was pleasant and after a few tries to negotiate a payment plan for my debt, i decided you know what let them keep it, so what if my credit is messed up, these people do not deserve my damn hard working money! i contacted the company that had my account to see if they are willing to have me pay them directly! it was too late but it does not matter now, they will never get my money!

IC System - harassing phone calls!

This company repeatedly calls looking for my younger brother with whom I share the same first name. They have been asked to stop calling, but refuse, often calling as often as 4-5 times a day. After the last caller made snide remarks regarding the fact that I have the same first name as my brother I again told him to stop calling and that I would sue him...

IC System calls for no reason at all!

This collection agency called me for no reason. I do not owe any debt whatsoever. They simply are fishing for people who do owe money, in the hopes that somebody will send them some. They are liars and abusive over the phone (once they ascertain they won't be getting any money from you). I believe the government should shut them down at the earliest opportunity before they abuse more helpless consumers.

IC System Harassment!

I closed my washington mutual credit card last month and paid off the amount that I was advised to pay to satisfy the loan. yesterday I started receiving multiple calls from a Roger at IC Systems. The rep. Roger was very rude when i called him back and tried to explain that the amount was paid in full to washington mutual, he hung up on me 4 or 5 times and continues to call me with the pay now harassment method.

He now has started calling my cell phone and my home phone about 50 times a day. I just tried to call him back and he told me to pay the bill, I once again told him that I don't owe him anything, he told me to pay the f...ing bill and he will stop calling, then he hung up on me.

Now he won't take my calls, I have hired an attorney to handle this and I also called my phone company and cell phone company and they are now blocking the [protected] number.

I really wish they would stop i just had a baby and went back to work i am very busy and still getting adjusted to my new life i am sick of coming home and hearing about them calling my house non-stop and bothering my family. If they want to reach me they can leave a number i can call them back on, harassment is not the way to collect money if I do indeed owe them any money!

My mom has been getting the harrassing phone calls from IC Systems. They are the rudest bunch of people on the face of this earth. My brother used to live with my mom and he moved away about 6 years ago. They started calling her regarding his financial situation. They scream and yell at her. Call her up to 3 times a day and the phone calls do not stop. I put a complaint in but who knows. These people have no other means in collecting debts but to be rude and scream because they have no legal powers. They cannot garnish wages so they just annoy the hell out of people.

IC System Harassment

I am being contacted by phone and mail from these people. They are contacting me about a charge that was made on my credit card that was false. My account number was used by someone that got my number after the fact that I had closed out account for this reason with someone else. The item that was purchased was for something through a pei education inst. What I have no idea. I found out about this through a letter I received from pei in jan 2008. I contacted them a told them it was used on a bogus credit card number. The card had been cancelled months prior. I then received a letter from them requesting a police report about the matter. I went to the police dept. And showed them the letter. They stated that once pei affects my credit to get a lawyer. There is a very large case against them right now for this matter.

Now I am receiving phone calls and letters from this ic systems inc. For the same reason. My last phone call was about a hour ago. When I answered I tried to explain the error that they and who ever this pei is had made. The person I was talking to only knew 4 or 5 english words. She kept speaking in spanish right in the middle of the sentence.

I asked her to please send me a copy of my signature where I authorized them to bill me or charge me or send me anything. I was told that I needed a lawyer. That they demanded that I pay. What do I do? Does anybody know.

Jeffrey: THE COLLECTIONS COMPANIES HAVE NO LEGAL AUTHORITY TO DO ANYTHING. THEY ARE RUDE USELESS PEOPLE. THEY ARE ONLY TRYING TO SCARE YOU BY THE COMMENTS THEY ARE SAYING. I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN BY THEM NOT SPEAKING ENGLISH. THEY ARE UNEDUCATED PEOPLE. EVENTUALLY WHAT HAPPENS IS SOME MUCH TIMES GOES BY AND IF THEY CANNOT COLLECT ANY MONEY, THEY USUALLY JUST GO AWAY, LIKE THE FLU. BUT IF YOU GET ANYTHING FROM A LAWYER, YOU WILL BE ABLE TO CLEAR IT UP THEM BECAUSE LAWYERS ARE PROFESSIONAL AND THEY KNOW YOU HAVE RIGHTS. UNLIKE THE COLLECTORS. THEY CAN ONLY YELL AND CRY. LET ME KNOW HOW IT WENT. KELLY.

IC System rude employee and manager!

My wife had recently had a phone conversation with an employee at IC Ststems, that sound about the same as every other complaint I have read. I was recently deployed to Iraq, and had accidentally forgot to give my wife the information about my credit card payment, which is easy to do when you have deployment on your mind. So this employee who would not give his name only an operator number, explained to my wife that the bill had not been paid and it went to collections. My wife not knowing what he was talking about told him that the next time I called home she was going to find out the info to get it taken care of. The employee then began to tell her that if she bothered me in Iraq that she was a horrible wife, and he could not believe that she would do that instead of paying it. He then told her that she was worthless because she can't handle it herself, and those were his exact words. When I heard this I was fuming, and made a call to the company, of course that employee was not there so I talked to another one, and took care of the bill. I asked to speak to the manager Nate Johnson, and explained to him what had happened, and he told me if I didn't have it recorded he didn't believe what I was saying. I asked him if they record the conversations, and he stated sometimes but not in this case. I then asked to have a number for someone that is over him and he said he was as high as they go, so he was done with me. I then had a few choice words for him and he then hung up. I think that they all get there training from the same place, and know what goes around comes around.

I cannot believe stuff like that happens to people. Collection agencies are the worst companies to deal with. They have no education and knowledge and that is why they are so rude. They know that they cannot legally do anthing to people and because they are on the phone they are real big tough guys. I'd like to see them out in public to see how tough they really are. STAY SAFE.
