IC System harrasing phone calls

IC System have been repeatedly calling my office asking for someone I don't even know. I tried to convince them they had the wrong phone # but they persist. When I complained to the "supervisor" inquiring their contact information, I was insulted, cut-off, and ultimately hung up on. I learned they were "IC Systems" and that's it. NO address, phone #. They still call me, bizarre. Maybe they get paid by the #of phone calls made per hour?

IC System scam and cheating

I started receiving calls from IC systems, since June 1, first on my home phone, now on my cell phone number. The caller first ask me to id myself, then ask me to verify my social security #. When I refused, he says he will call back; then hangs up. Well, my husband and I were on vacation last week, and this guy kept call me at all hours. I finally, blocked that number from my cell phone, but he continues to call my home phone. Thank God for caller ID. The thing is, I don't know why he's calling, but I think it's from an old cell phone company from 4 or 5 years ago.

Someone from this company had the nerve to call my Mom's house. I have not lived there for over 21 years. They told her that was the number they had to contact me. That was a complete lie, they found her number in the phone book. I would not use her phone number for a contact for me.

She said they were completely rude and tried drilling her for more information on how to reach me. She told them to never use her phone number to try and reach me and then in turn they called again the next day.

IC System unprofessional #!

I need to have someone (a lawyer) take these wastes of skin to task for their unprofessional and disgusting business practices. I AM LAID OFF, I HAVE A LIMITED AMOUNT OF MONEY COMING IN, MOST OF IT IS ALREADY ALLOTTED TO OTHER EXPENSES.

They call at ALL of the unallowed times for debt collectors to call, they are crude - harassing and demeaning.

I am SICK OF PEOPLE LIKE THIS BEING ALLOWED TO ABUSE THE SYSTEM. IF I GET ONE MORE CALL FROM THESE PEOPLE I AM GOING TO THE BBB AND MY STATES ATTY FOR ILLINOIS - I'VE HAD IT!

Keep calling my home number looking for someone else. The person they are looking for has the same last name as mine but not same first name. The only person who has my number is the phone company, adt and myself. Have not have number long enough for anyone else to have. I feel like this is harrasment. And they are not calling for the people who sold me the house. With that knowledge why are they calling my home several times.

The worst and rudest people ever work there! I have never been spoken to so rudely to in my life. This woman had an attitude with me from the start and called me a liar, when she had her information wrong! Don't ever settle with them...call the company they are supposedly representing and report them and then settle directly with the company. They are the liars and scammers!

A man named Richard has been calling my cell phone asking me to contact my step-son's ex-girlfriend and have her call him or for me to give him her telephone number. I advised him that if I saw her, I would pass on the information. This man is now harassing me on a regular basis and has become irate, abusive and foul-mouthed. His business practices are unethical and illegal. This business should be shut down for illegal business practices.

I receive several unsolicited phone calls from 651.204.1374 and 866.903.1001. I have told this company I am not the person they are looking for (Sylvia) and once they apologize, I then will receive another call later that same day.

Beware people!

OMG how rude of these people at IC SYSTEMS. They scam you into sending more money and tacking on more fees. They are the most rude arrogant people any one wants to deal with. Ecspecially now a days the times are hard, they should just wipe the slate clean, no matter how big or small the amount owed is...

IC System anonymous calls

I received an anonymous call, with no one responding when I answered (I believe more than once), so I used *69 to get the phone number. IC Systems answered when I called back. Because I refused to identify myself to someone who had called anonymously, they refused to answer my questions abou their purpose, and refused to remove me from their call list.

I feel no responsibility to answer anyone's questions until I know what is going on. I resent calls where the calling party vanishes from the line.

oh and then when you do identify yourself you CANNOT know what they want until you verify your private information like your social security number! I refuse to verify that sort of thing on the phone! I mean seriously tell me what you want and i will talk to you but be jerks and you get nothing!

Well when they repeatedly call your home and they ask for a certain person and that person is the one that answers the phone and asks what they want then there should be some sort of response by the person that is calling not getting rude and DEMANDING to know exactly whom they are talking to without even explaining that it is " a personal business matter" as most of the collection agencies do. I mean seriously the phone is in the name of the person they are trying to get ahold of so why would they have to be total aholes about it and not state what it is they want.

I can understand where you are coming from on this. However, the anonymous calls with no-one responding is an automated computer system calling to see if the number is still good (not disconnected) and if there is someone answering the phone. The collectors have no control over that.

When you call in, the collectors need a phone number to look up to find your account. Without that, the only information they can provide you about IC System is "We handle personal business matters for people". That's it. They can't say anything more.

They can't remove your number and the reason for that is they don't know what number you are calling from. If they don't have the number, they can't look up and see what account they are calling. Once they have the account they can verify if they have the right person or perhaps they are calling the wrong number.

If you don't give them your number, you will keep getting calls. Sorry.

IC System what debtors don't think about

Wow it's surprising to see those of you who are actually in debt talk as you do. Or those that aren't in debt but are relatives, significant others, etc.. of debtors.

I hope you realize that debt collectors are also people. If you're swearing at them, you think that's respectful and professional of you? Obviously they aren't going to take that from someone they don't know either. When you get on the line with a collector, it's almost 90% chance that you're not talking to the same one as before. So why vent and cuss at someone who has never even talked to you before? Sure you may have been treated horribly by one collector, it doesn't mean that every collector is like that.
I think that debtors should just be calm and know who you're talking to first. It isn't right for a collector to tell you you are a deadbeat- I agree. But not all collectors will say that. I think those who do call debtors names, those are the collectors who should be apologize and not say those things in the first place.

But also, being pushy about getting payments from debtors IS the collector's job. That's what they're being paid for. They're rated on their performance on the accounts they work. If a collector can't get any debtor's to pay, they're in trouble. Understand that their job relies on debtors paying their bills.

I've worked collections before. I even worked at IC. I once had a debtor tell me as soon as I called her she shouted "WHY THE F**K ARE YOU CALLING ME? YOUR MOTHER SHOULD'VE ABORT YOU!" and hung up on me. I've never spoken to her before, I've never insulted her. She JUST insulted me. And I was only do my job to call people. Collectors shouldn't have to take that kind of abuse either. Debtors can be just as nasty as some collectors.

I've always been understanding when I collected and I never pushed people. I let the debtors rant to me about how they got screwed over with fees or how they lost their house, job, car, have medical issues, etc.
The only time I got firm was when the debtor got firm with me.

Another thing to consider is that collectors deal with a lot of people (debtors). Even though your situation may be true, collectors here a lot of lies. Or when debtors say they will call back, collectors trust them to do so. But if they don't, the trust is broken. After dealing with many debtors and getting so many lies or broken promises, collectors get fed up and change their ways/looks. It may not be your/the current debtor's fault for this change, but it's also not the collectors. Over time collectors get tired of people saying they can't pay but they can pay to go on vacation or this or that. There's a lot of trust that gets broken between debtors and collectors.

For those of you who are innocent and are getting calls for people you don't even know, don't get mad about it. Talk to someone and calmly state the situation. How long you've had the #, etc...
But this is also a trust issue...debtors can/have lied or pretended to be someone else to cheat collectors. It's hard for collectors to know the truth.

Just remember, collectors and debtors fall into each others' verbal assaults though none of it should happen.

Hey yo -

Funny... I just received a call yesterday from IC System to collect a debt from AT&T... The person was rude... insulting... argumentative. Unwilling to understand that there was a mistake with the account and I needed to work with them to get it resolved…. They just wanted money and didn’t care about the fact that I didn't actually owe the debt.

So basically you are full of ###.

IC System debt collection

Got a call from Ic Systems Inc. today claiming to be collection agency from Target. After finding out I have been unemployed and have no source of income, representative claimed I stole from Target since I wasn't paying my bill. With unemployment in Florida at over 10% and actively seeking employment, I deeply am insulted by remarks like that. I am not in my situation because I want to be unemployed, and always had a stellar credit rating until I got laid off. Someone needs to do something about rude, insensitive collectors like this.

I have been getting calls from IC Systems for the last 3 months now. The first call of the morning when I am trying to get my Grandchildren off to school start off at 8Am. I don't answer. Then comes another at like 10:00 I finally answer and they ask for me, I identify myself and then I am asked if I PLAN to make payment on this account. I tell them NO, that I DO NOT since I do not believe that I owe that amount of money. This is for a bill from E-Bay. I listed a few things and nothing sold, yet they are trying to collect 5 hundred and something dollars. I explained to them that I asked E-Bay to make an arrangement with me back when I got a cash advance loan and they refused, now I don't have any extra money to wheel and deal with. I explained that I was attempting to sell the stuff of E-Bay because I NEED the money so badly. I was selling things that were very precious to me left by my Sister to me when she passed away in "01". Their comment? "Not my problem". You have to pay this "or else". I said okay, "I'll take the or else". "EXCUSE ME"? this woman said. I said "yeah" do what you gotta do cuz I'm done talking to you about it. Now, I just don't answer the phone when I see it come up and have just mailed them a cease and desist letter. Let them call me after I get the confirmation that they have gotten my letter and I will call The Federal Trade Commission AND the Florida Attorney General's Office (I have a friend there) then we'll see who will be in an "or else" position. If any of you need a copy of a cease and desist letter you can find it about . com. (don not leave the space between about and . I did that so that it doesn't appear as a link). ALSO, these employees are paid a percentage of what they collect so of course they are going to fight, fight, fight to get YOUR money as it then becomes theirs. I am not a "bill dodger", I just feel that E-Bay could have done more to help me out in a bad situation and they simply didn't care. Another example of greed in the corporate world. Like they'll go out of business without my $500.00 Give me a break. I need it to put food in my Grandchildren's mouth, not to make a payment on my Cadillac Escalade or Viper or even my "vacation home in Malibu". This economy NEEDS to turn around or else we need a modern day Robin Hood... any volunteers? Have a blessed day all and please, use that cease and desist letter maybe we can get IC Systems employees in the unemployment line. Good Luck to all. I will update after confirmation of receipt of my letter to them.

this company calls me sometimes up to 20+ times a day and EVERY SINGLE time i answer the phone they hang up on me.. I know its not an automated machine because i can hear the person on the other end shifting papers and also the other operators in the background. I have tried calling back and speaking to a supervisor and i am always hung up on my the supervisor. The last time that I called them the supervisor told me that if I didn't like them harrassing me than i should just "pay the damn bill" I am sick and tired of them calling at all hours of the day and night (late at night also) but I can't get through to anyone in the company to do anything about it.

The women told me that maybe I should've of thought about that before I took there services. She was so rude and I gave her a piece of my mind. how dare she judge me, she does not know my situation or is in my shoes...

IC System harassment, pain, suffering, dept of justice complaint coming to them

Prolouge:

I had a Target REDCard, and then I was scammed by ACN, a multi-level marketing business. They had gone against their policy to refund the $500 charge they made to my card. I called Target National Bank to let them know, and they not only refused to give me their dispute hotline number, they hung up on me when I got over to the dispute dept. This all started in July of 2008. I was even paid up til I had that $500 charge and told them I needed it taken off since I was Scammed.

Present:

When I was first called by I.C. System, they explained to me that Target National Bank had sold my debt to them, and they were demanding a payment. I tried to gently explain (I'm kind of easy to set off at times) that I had no job and wasn't able to find one no matter how hard I was looking. I explained to them that I was also a college student getting a scholarship to go to school and then my parents helped out with the rest of my tuition, books, and rent. They then asked me why my parents couldn't help pay my debt, and I let them know that my parents are people who aren't needed to be involved because they not only aren't full of money, one of them is looking for a job! I was then told to "go to Mommy and Daddy" for money, then they hung up.

I finally have a job in Distribution, and am being paid by contract. I have NO idea when I'm going to be paid. My cell phone is now a work phone because I'm also giving music lessons, which isn't working so well, but my phone is now a work phone at all times nonetheless.

I received a call from them during my work hours, and I told them that Oregon had passed a law which states that: Debt collectors may not call the debtor during employment hours or at place of employment more than once per week. They laughed at me saying "Do you seriously think that's what the state law says!?" then hung up.

They have harassed me to the point of blowing up numerous times, and sometimes, they have made me cry because I just wanted things to stop.

Future Plans:

I am currently filling out an Oregon Dept of Justice Consumer Complaint Form. I still have not had the $500 charge taken off (it's almost been a year since it's June of 2009, and I hope I.C. System gets what's coming to them...

IC System violations of fdcpa

IC Systems are clearly violating more than my complaint, I was'nt surprised to find this site! These people do not understand the federal violation of Fair Debt Collection! I have been harrassed for weeks now, over a 30 dollar debt that I refuse to pay. My choice. This ignorant company didnt realize that the one they were calling used to be a belittling job of being a debt collector, I guess its kind of a blessing in wierd way, that I became chronically ill and was terminated of course. But, these people violate FDPCA laws regulary, yes, I am going to report them legiatiamatly. The dummies can even be told they are violating and they dont care, well, lets have a couple 25, 000.00 fines and think if thats rude!

You have never had a problem with paying any of your bills Jickster, hope you never get a similar situation like mine. Let me explain a little better. Everyone has the right to write a "cease and desist" letter to simply ask the collector to stop calling and only commuicate through the mail. I sent IC Systems two. They kept telling me they had never received any. Until I sent one Certified mail, they calls have stopped for now. By the way, it costs nothing to file a complaint to FDCPA. I have always paid my bills, until now. Also, if I pay IC systems the amount they are wanting, EBAY will not see one cent of the money, after 6 months most companies write the debt off for pennies on the dollar. This bill started out at 4.50. Now its up to 30.00. When this started, I tried to contact EBAY to pay the amount owed, they would not take my money, because it had been sold, so the way I look at it, I don't owe them anything. This is a small amount of money, the original amount, but I refuse to pay money I don't owe. I only owe 4.50. Of course the collector will not work with me on this amout. This is how they make their money. So, good luck to them getting blood out of a turnip! LOL

If you know the F.D.C.P.A. so well, then you should know that the maximum fine for breaking it is $1000, not the $25, 000 you claim. And as someone who recently recieved training and liscensing through IC System, I can guarentee that the F.D.C.P.A. is thoroughly covered and understood during the 3 weeks of training provided. I also know that, besides the F.D.C.P.A., there are additional state laws that apply that predeceed the F.D.C.P.A. and are also followed.

IC System has been operating since the 1930's, and are one of the most successful collecting firms in America. They did not receive this reputation with deceit or unlawful practices.

And for the record, IC System does not purchase collectable debt, but rather are hired by Creditors to collect valid debt. IC System is paid by their clients, the creditors, and not by the debtor's. Nor does IC System make the decision of when a debt is sent to collections. Be aware of the debt you accrue, and the businesses you owe to, for they make the decisions, we just make the phone calls.

Smart remark

June 14, 2009

Exie, if I dont care about the debt and complain about it, why do you respond to other peoples problems, and leave smart remarks about the issue?

----------------------------------
This is a response this person sent me. Come on people. Dont compain just for the heck of it. From my professional experience, I see absolutely nothing wrong with the collections efforts of this firm, in her case. Sounds like someone worked collecting debt, didnt like it, is a debtor and now wants to go off on the industry.

People, debt collections is just like any other business, some good, some bad. some follow laws, some do not. As a whole the industry collects billions of dollars a year in the US, monies that if unrecouped, would only raise prices for all of us.

Those of us who pay, pay for those of us who dont.

It is responsible of us to pay our legitimate bills on time, and before they go into collections. When we do have an account go into collection, we should expect agencies to follow FDCPA as outline by congress. When that does not occur, we have measures available to stop illegal practices. But, we still must pay our bill!

There are many, many instances where things happen out of our control. I am trying to offer legitimate advice on how best to resolve those situations. I am not an attorney, and do not play one on TV. And did not stay at a Holiday Inn last night. I do have years of experience in the collections and credit industry in a number of professional capacities. I am also not working as an agent for this website. just another schmo who found the cite and offers some help.

I am not being an advocate for the industry, but an advocate for those who honestly need help.

So you had a bill, you refused to pay it, additional charges were added, as legitimized by state law(possibly i dont know the state) and you are mad at the debt collector?

The cert mail is wise. but in what other ways are you being harrassed? your statement that companies write debt off is not correct. They always have the debt. They just take a loss on balance sheets. They can hold it, sell it, or hire a debt collector.

You owe 30 for now, and it sounds like it will only go up. It may even hit your credit report. But like you say, you dont care.

Why complain about something you dont care about?

You don't have the money to pay your $30 bill, you certainly are not well off enough to take any legal actions whatsoever. Nobody is scared over your threats of $25, 000 fines etc.

I am sorry you have a chronic illness, but you should not use that as an excuse to dodge your responsiblities. Please pay your bills.

IC System they keep harassing me at work

This company started calling me at work last month. I didn't regonize the call so I didn't answer the call. I looked up the company and saw it was a collection agency so of course I don't want to talk to them at work. But what's even worse is the # of times they call. I count they call min 8 times a day and max 10 times a day. They even call when I'm not at work which is 9:00 pm my time. Isn't there a law about them calling more than 8 times a day and if you ask them to stop calling you at work they are suppose to?

IC System not returning my money

In December 2008, I contacted IC Systems to set up payment dates for an outstanding debt.I had set up 3 dates with IC Systems, all based on my paydates, to ensure that the funds would be available for the payments.
December and January went without incindent. Payments were taken out of my checking account on the arranged dates. (Each payment date was confirmed by IC Systems with a letter stating the date that the payment would be pulled from my account.) February's payment, which was set up and confirmed by IC Systems, was to be tqken out on February 19th. IC Systems took the money out on February 18th. As a result, my account was overdrawn, and I was charged $105 in overdraft fees.
I contacted IC Systems, and was told that if I could supply all the documentation that proved that the payment was taken out a day early, that they would reimburse me the $105 in overdraft fees.
I contacted my bank, and paid for the documention that stated that IC Systems took the agreed payment amount out on 2/18. I sent this along with a copy of the IC Systems letter that states that the arranged payment date was 2/19, the notice from my bank that shows the balances, the transactions, and the charge for the overdrafts to IC Systems.
After several phone calls, they still refuse to pay me my money for the overdrafts that were clearly caused by them. I have asked to speak to a supervisor on SEVERAL occasions and have been routed into the voice mail of a Mr Tanner. He has yet to return any of my phone calls. This morning, I was told that the account matter was closed, and that they found that I couldn't PROVE that they were the cause of the overdrafts. I again left a message for the supervisor. (none of my calls have been returned to date, so I hold little hope for this one to be returned either.)
Throughout this entire matter, I have dealt with several customer service people, who have all been extremely rude and unhelpful. Melissa was the worst- when I had asked to speak to her supervisor about the issue, she rattled off an inaudible name. When asked to spell it, she rattled off the spelling so quickly, I still didn't understand. (It turns out that Melissa was the cause of the whole problem, and apparently made a data entry mistake and entered the wrong payment date!)
I don't know what else I can do to get my money back from this company. I was simply trying to do the right thing and pay off a debt, and am now out $105 of my hard to come by money!
This company needs to be investigated. If this happened once to me, I can only imagine how many other people have been taken advantage of!

IC System harassing phone calls

After repeatedly telling the dim-witted representatives of I.C. Systems, Inc. that the person they were calling wasn't at my phone number, they continued with their (beyond) rude phone calls. They wouldn't give me any information regarding the nature of their business or the reason for their calls. But the calls kept coming! Those poor poor uneducated people! The only thing they can to is dial a phone number..any phone number...and rudely harass anyone who will answer the phone! This company obviously hires any nasty uneducated foul mouthed individual who has absolutely no clue whatsoever! I.C. Systems, Inc. YOU ARE A SAD SAD PATHETIC entity...

I have had to talk to some extremely rude people in my line of work BUT NEVER HAVE I HAD TO DEAL WITH ANYONE like they hire at this compnay. They do not listen when you tell them they debt is being taken care of even thought I know that Chase hase received their proposal and their 1st payment. Isn't it illegal to continue calling me when they have ALREADY CASHED THE CHECK?

IC System calling my work number

Some man named Ryan Hall from IC. Systems calls my work phone and precedes to tell me that I owe him 235.00 for an account back in 2007. I have received no comunication from these people until today 2/13/09. As far as I know this person could be a fraud. He claims they sent an email to my yahoo account which I don't even know if I have anymore. I asked him to send me information in the mail and he immediately starting saying just when do you plan on taking care of this and just how long is it going to take you to turn around this money. I let him know as soon as I researched the information with my bank since you state that is for insufficent funds from a check you sent through. I again I asked for my account information he had with his company and he preceeded to harrass me so I hung up. Before hanging up I attempted to ask him if I could call him back he did give me a number and then was on and on about how long this was going to take me to turn around. I am not sure.

There are over 2000 complaints online about IC Systems Collections tactics and errors. They are very aggressive on work phone numbers that they shouldn't even be calling. They call numbers after being informed that the number belongs to someone else (like your work number does too btw) and will mislead their purpose, stating they are trying to help the target with an emergency. They will deny being a collection agency when asked directly. Not sure if any of them are warm-blooded mammals or not. Even class action suits may not stop their way of doing business. If you can, try to litigate against the company/person that brings ICS into the mix. That is the most effective way to deal with them so far.

IC System constant phone messages with no information re purpose of call. no prior notice of any debt being collected

Constant automated messages to my home phone requesting call back regarding a "business matter". Referral number is [protected]. When I call this number requesting information about the purpose of the call I am told I cannot be given this information unless I tell them my telephone number. When I ask why I would need to do this considering that they have called me and therefore must have my number I am told they cannot give out any information because of "privacy" requirements. I have no outstanding debts I know of and I have not received any correspondence about an unpaid debt. I am told the calls will continue to be made. This is harrassment and invasion of my privacy. What government agency or agencies can address my complaint?

I have been getting calls from IC Systems for months and as I screen my calls I usually don't pick up. Today I did, May 6th at 1:48 Eastern and got a message to "hold on, someone will be with you." The RUDE man kept asking for an April Harmon of whom I do not know. He confirmed the phone # and won't answer any questions' just kept asking if I knew an April Harmon. One more phone call and I also am going to register a complaint with the attorney General's office.

I too have received calls from this agency but they don't leave a message. When I call them back, I do give them my phone number and am then told it must be a mistake because they don't have my number on record. When I told them they must have my number because they keep calling me, they tell me to make sure I get a reference number the next time. When the first person told me this, I told her they never leave a message so how am I supposed to get a reference number. She responded by saying in a very rude voice, "Eh, answer your phone?" I left a message on a voice mail this morning to a supposed supervisor telling him if they don't stop calling me I will report them to the State Attorny's Office. I asked him to call me back but he hasn't so far.

I would call them and give them your number. They may be calling for variety of reasons and probably call thousands of people a day. If you give them the number where they were trying to reach they will be able to give you more information. You never know it could be a wrong number and they can remove it for you if it is.

IC System fraud and cheating

I nominate a telephone representative of IC Systems as perhaps the most detestable person I have ever had contact with in my 84 years on this earth. My son (age 57) has been a patient in a New Jersey mental hospital for 30 years -- sentenced NGRI (Not Guilty Reason Insanity) for a violent crime. He will likely spend the remainder of his life in confinement.
My son ran up some charge card debt in spite of the fact that his address was clearly that of a mental hospital.

Now the harassment squad at IC Systems is calling multiple times daily with very belittling words addressed to my son in spite of my letter to FIA Card Services explaining my son's situation. This harassment will likely cause the doctors to increase the dosage of anti-psychotic drugs and thereby increase the already debilitating side effects.

My son does not even receive Medicare disability pension because during the Clinton administration there was a change made that declared that persons judged NGRI could not longer receive Medicare disability pension payments. Incidentally, he does still have Medicare Part B but the Social Security Administration (unlike the Bank of America and FIA Services) has declared that my son is without any means to pay the premiums for Medicare Part B and apparently Social Security has a system which pays the premiums for such an indigent person.

In spite of several letters to Washington Mutual pointing out the folly of a bank offering credit cards to a person whose address is a mental hospital (and there are warnings about a suspicious address by 2 of the 3 main credit reporting organizations), WaMu proceeded to turn the account over to IC Systems for collection.

The following is a quote from my son: 'The collection agency for Washington Mutual is verbally abusive and demanding and very over bearing. They 'bully' by phone. I hung up on the abusive fellow.'

IC System unfair debt collections

I strongly agree they don't want to work with you . They just want to harass you and lie . They told me they were going to place leins on my property and take it when they couldn't . They called after 9pm and told me to post date a payment to them for $1068.00 and I told them I didn't have it at the time they said thats ok this is just to show them I wanted to resolve the debt and that I could call back and cancel it and set up an amount that I could afford . I called back and canceled the 1068.00 payment and set up a payment of 200.00 dollars . I then called back to verify the payment amount for my checking account . A rep. named Jordan said they could take both amounts because they had both on file . I told him I had a family to support . He told me he didn't care just make sure you have money in you account and slamed the phone down as he hung up . My wife and I are having to file bankruptcy and I contacted my attorney and gave him the number to I.C.system and I don't know what was said but, it must have worked . Just as a safegaurd I put stop payments on my bank account . If you have to work with this company DO NOT POST DATE A PAYMENT TO THEM via your checking account! I also reported them to the Federal trade comission for unfair collection practices .I would advise any one with a complant about this company to do the same. ( www.ftc.gov) or [protected])

IC System false collection

IC system Collection agency is ignorant and without ability. They have called me three times in a week and after discovering they had the wrong name, address, Social and city they kept calling. The first two people said they did not care, they did not owe an apology and that they would keep calling.

A supervisor got on the phone and said he would remove the name and number from the system and said that these things happen and I need to accept their action. They still called. Guess what, now they can deal with my attorney... This is a slam dunk case. I highly recommend Dean Malone, Attorney in Dallas, Texas...

IC System rude and obnoxious collection agency

IC Systems has the most unprofessional and ignorant employees I have ever dealt with in my life. They all give fictitious names when you ask them to identify themselves. On 9/3/08 I was called by a female who would not identify herself. She was asking for personal information which I was reluctant to provide; especially since I did not know who she was or who she represented. She was very rude and talked very badly to me. I called back and asked for a supervisor. A very ignorant individual who claimed his name was Eric Anderson got on the line and proceeded to try endlessly to humiliate me. He made a joke out of my medical condition, told me repeatedly to close my mouth while he was talking, and told me numerous times to just stop with the excuses and pay my bill. He was asking me to tell him what I did with my paycheck. I will definitely escalate this matter to the atty general’s office. This company should be closed down. Their $8.00 an hour customer service reps need to be sent to a training class for customer service. The companies who contract their services need to pull their business. I will make it a point to contact the company and share the recorded conversation I made of the call. Shame on IC Systems for thinking I did not have enough sense to record the second conversation. Thank God, my best friend is a lawyer who has agreed to take this case pro bono. I will be suing both IC Systems and the company who contracted their services for emotional distress. Let’s see who has the last laugh now.

Agree totally. I have received over 10 calls from a number I did not recognize with only a recorded message if anything when I answered. Finally some answered, I was in the middle of rush hour traffice, not exactly a situation where I could focus on the call. The person was rude and demanding. I had no idea I even owed the money. I had moved but was at the address for 6 months after the bill (surgery) was incurred and 5 months after the insurance had paid. The bill was 177. I never received an invoice from Hermann Memorial Hospital or the anesthesiologist, Dr Elk for the amount. I had paid other little bills that trickle in after surgery, this one never arrived. Then IC Systems entered all mighty and glorious, hiding behind their computers, not leaving a message so that you could contact them, get the information, and then resolve the situation. He told me how I was ruining my credit, I should give him my credit card # to pay the bill, etc. I tried to explain to him, that I would not give anyone my credit card over the phone, especially someone like them, I did not even know if I owed the amount or not. He was rather indignant that I would question their integrity, ha. I assured him that I was not questioning the integrity of the company but reminded him of ID theft, the times we live in etc. He still demanded that I pay. I refused and told him I wanted to check the demand out first to make sure it was legitimate. Just awful. I did call the hospital business office the next day, they had the turned it over and verified it was a legitimate bill. I went up to IC payment site and paid the bill. They need to train their staff and review their procedures. Hospitals, business offices also need to review their practices. They are not the only player on the block, we are their customers. A friendly phone call goes a long way in cases where it is a cases of communication or lack thereof, one is not running from a bill, just doesn't know about it. Not leaving a friendly message on the first call, stating that there has been a request for collection, please call such and such number so this matter can be resolved, is just plain stupid on the hospital, business office, and the collection agency's part.

I agree with this complaint against I C Systems. I too experienced a rude and obnoxious customer service representative. The comments posted by an I C S employee only confirm their unprofessional manner in which they operate. They some how got a hold of my daughter's cell phone number and harrassed her. They call people out of their names and make threats. I agree with the point - "Companies should not use this company. " I can't imagine the amount of law suits that will take place because of the actions of this company. I was also told I could take I C S to court. After reading this posting, I am going to greatly consider this. I understand they have a job to do, however, they do need training as to how they should interact with people who are vicitims of job loss. The comment was made about the safety of the staff at I C S, what about the consumer's safety? I C S has our addresses and could easily harm us. As a matter of fact I have told friends if anything should happen to me or my family, they should be the first suspects.

secondly...all calls are recorded anyway

IC System illegal and harassing 3rd part phone conversation

I am complaining about the very rude and unprofessional conduct as well as ILLEGAL activity on behalf of a collection agency called ICSystem. Collectors from this company have contacted my elderly father and have deliberately intimidated him into relaying information concerning my payment status which in turn relayed my account information to unauthorized parties. My father was unable to get the name of the person representing IC System and in turn emailed instantly with the news that I owed a debt collector money that is not owed. I managed to get a hold of a collector later in the day and explain to him that I am a member of the U.S. Navy currently assigned to a unit inside of Iraq (an 8 hour time difference and a subsequent snail mail delay problem). When I asked him for his name he claimed it "wasn't important for me to know... and I owed him $508". The real problem is this... this person then threatened me with legal action if I didn't agree to pay the amount in full over the phone providing my personal banking information... SOMETHING I DO NOT DO! In addition he claimed that he would make an immediate claim to collect the supposed debt. I called the Credit card company and they apologized... What else?

This company is soooooooo rude, The company my credit card company hired is IC System and I have talked to them seveal times and this time they told me I should have not used the credit card & that I needed to pay them today x amount of money and I said I couldn't pay at this time they told me I should get out of my mortagae & move in with someone so I could pay them. They are a 3rd party from my credit card company & I had sent the credit card company a cease calling letter and it states in the letter that the 3rd party can not call you but they do not go by this letter and they are in voilation of the rule 805(b)2 of the FDCPA. I had not used this card in over a year, now IC Systems is telling me I should not be on Social Security & that I need to get a job & pay them off it, I told them it was is not my choice to be on social secrity. They are rude & they say things to you that they should not be saying.

My wife fielded the call, they said it was a business opportunity. I have been disabled since march and cannot make the payments, I told the very rude 1st person I could not pay and she transferred me to the supposed supervisor who was demeaning, he insisted I have my parents pay bill, I told him that the family helped pay my "rent" in the past. He kept insisting that the parents living on fixed incomes could still help because they did in the past.

I left the phone call at him being delusional and it was ludicrous to insist my parents have to pay so I can make the payment. Pushy, arrogant, rude, called me a liar on a previous statement at the beginning of the conversation about getting help on the power bill.

Multiple FDCPA violations. If their letter doesn't get here in 5 days there's another violation.

These people are a piece of work.

This company calls my cell phone several time a day. I currently work nights so i am asleep when they call. Today I answered one of their calls and they asked for someone by a different name. When I told the man I was not that person he began arguing with me. I asked several times if our call was being recorded and also to speak to a supervisor. He continued to talk over me and repeatedly ask for the person he was calling for. I kept telling him he had the wrong number and he told me I was lying.

I contacted the company via the main number on their website. I was given two managers names to speak with. When I called the correct department and asked to speak with Nate or Jason I was told I could not. The man who answered the phone (Jack) already knew about my previous conversation with Michael. He told me I should understand that people lie to them all the time and thats why he didn't believe me when I said that he had the wrong number.

I continued to ask to speak with one of the managers and was repeatedly to no. I called the main number back and was told by the woman that answered the phone that she would email them and someone would call me back.

I feel sorry for anyone who has to actually deal with this company.

IC System collection agency doesn't work with consumers. I, too, came upon hard times when I lost my job due to an auto accident. This has placed my family in an extreme financial hardship. They demanded payment even though my bank accounts are in a negative balance and food has yet been placed on the table. They charge overage fees that still puts us further in the hole by $16. This continues to make our bill climb instead of reducing the balance. We can't even afford the minimum payment, yet they draft monies before the due dates to appease their clients. They even went to the point of belittling my husband; saying he needs to be responsible for this bill; he has been responsible, he has allowed this company their freedom by taking a bullet in service of our free country! How much more responsible does he need to be? They would not even allow us to speak, to explain our situation. They continue to talk over us, and we still have no resolution.

This is a great business. I hope it improves customer service!

I have been receiving calls from IC System. I have told them repeatedly not to call because I am dealing with the Credit Card company. The credit card company is dealing with me directly which they do not have a problem with.

I have repeatedly told them to quit calling but they get nasty and hateful with me. Even when I tell them I am dealing with Credit card directly. I have even told them that I that they are just harrassing me and that there are laws preventing this. But to no avail. They call at least 40 times a day.

The credit card company supposedly has told them that I am paying them direct but it doesn't stop them.

I asked IC Systems who they were to be asking me to verify my address. The Rep on th ephone said they represent several "agencies" and it would be a violation of the law to divulge any information (on their part). When I said "well it would violate me to be scammed, maybe you should think about that". The rep said "Well, did I answer with our company name IC Systems when you called back?" I said "yes, and after asking what that meant you refused to give details, so I'll just block your number when it comes up next time". He said "we will find a way around that and just keep calling until you verify your address". Good luck Buddy!... and F**k off!

I am having the same problem even though I told them they are violating the Fair Debt Collector Practices Act. They called me names and told me that they can do what they want to and hung up, then started calling back again. I have an attorney now that is going to go after them for violation of this act. The company said it does not apply to them because they are on a state level. I told them this is not a state thing, its the Federal Trade Commission, and they are going to get it. I recommend everyone report this company to the Better Business Bureau! and to the Federal Trade Commission.

IC System harassment/poor business practices

These people have been calling me for the past 7 weeks looking for someone named Irma Mendoza, everytime they call I press the option for wrong # and update records, they can't seem to get the message that Irma does not have my phone number anymore, even after 7 updates. Clearly they cannot read between the lines and must be pretty piss poor at collecting money, I will certainly never use them for any of my business needs.

IC System illegally withdrew money from my checking account

On July 30, 2008, I.C. System, Inc., illegally deducted $135.00 from my personal checking account. I paid them an on over-the-phone check payment of $100.00 on July 8, 2008 for a bill owed to AT&T. I agreed that I would send another $100.00 on 7/30/08. However, WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE OR CONSENT, I.C. System deducted another $135.00 from my checking account on 7/30/08. When I called to complain, I was told by a "manager" that I had authorized the withdrawal. This is absolutely not true. He refused to give me anyone else in authority that I could speak with and basically blew me off. I.C. Sytem, Inc. cannot be trusted. Do not give them your checking account or credit card information. I plan to report them to the Better Business Bureau and any entity that can put a stop to these kinds of practices.

You catch more fly's with honey than vinegar! CALLED FROM [protected]
I owed At&T like $225 for breaking my contract by switching cell phone companies. I was making payments of $20 a month to At&t. They sent the amount to I.C. Systems INC. who keeps calling me. I was laid off from my job. Just started a new one so I answered their call today and told the lady who was fairly polite that I would like to set up payments. She offered if I set up a postdated electronic check today they would settle for $128. I said I don't feel comfortable giving out my numbers, Dave Ramsey always says get settlements in writing before doing anything. And don't give out your account numbers.
She assured me they wouldn't take out more than we agreed on. I googled their company while on the phone and read the above. I said no. She put me on with manager who quickly went for the right hook high pressure tactic. Got my adrenaline and anger going. I said give me a few days to think about it or to mail in a payment. She got rude and said you don't have few days, I am going to mark you account so you will not be allowed to get a settlement again. I said all because I want a few days? I said I am sorry mam I don't feel safe giving out that info over the phone. She says well we wouldn't take out more than we agreed on because we would get in trouble with the government. I said well I have heard of companies doing so. Oh not a collection agency she said. We would not do that. Yadi Yadi ... Bla bla bla... We are going to report this to the federal credit reporting agency and to At&t that you refused to pay you debt. I'm like what! refused? I said I would pay when I get paid lady. She went on with her threats. So I gave her my answer with a speedy press of the hang up button. So much for trying to be polite and nice and wanting to make a debt right. I called my bank just now and she said they have had issues with companies taking out more than agreed on or more often. She said it is hard to dispute these. Yes I said because it is my word against theirs.
She recommended a money order or cashiers check that they can not get your account numbers and you can prove you paid them.
I would like to tell AT&T to not use this company and give their customers a time to pay off their debts. But I am sure they just wanted to sell this debt off and could care less what i get treated like.
PS - NOTE TO READER: If you owe At&T and your account is closed pay it off to them as fast as you can as long as you are getting bills keep paying them. Otherwise this rude company will add money to your debt. I got a $28.74 colllection charge on top of the $159.69 I owed AT&T. . I had made one payment on my debt to AT&T and missed a month or two and then called to make a payment via credit card and the AT&T rep said oh your account has been sent to collections already and we can't set anything up or take a payment.. That was BS! I had the money then I should have sent it in and paid it off. But because he said it was already sent to collections I paid another bill with the money and figured I would wait till the bill came from the collection company. Well I kept getting bills and calls from AT&T as if my account was still with them. Which it turned out it was. That guy was wrong. So I kept paying $20 a month and that lowered my bill till like 5 months later they finally sent it to IC Systems for collection. So if you owe AT&T pay them off within the first 4 months after your account closes and you will save yourself from being abused by I.C. SYSTEMS.
Hope this helps someone else.

I got 2 calls from IC Systems.

First one was through the operator who was trying to connect me to IC systems. I asked the operator who is IC Systems and why am I being called, she did not answer the questions but kept on saying that the call is important. Since IC systems lines were busy she asked me to hold the line, which I did. Then she asked me to note the number and call back. I declined since I did not know who was IC systems, and what the call was for. The operator insisted that i make a note of the number but i declined.

2nd call came today 7/10 saying it was from AT&T credit reporting third party. they wanted us to call them at [protected] by today else they will report the credit defaults to my SSN. I am very sure that I was up-to-date on my payments to At&T so I tried to google the phone number when I found this article. I am now 100% sure that this is fraud trying to access the credit card number and or bank account.
