Humana customer service

I spent 7hours 19min trying to obtain a new pcp today; it took 11 different calls and a supervisor hung up on me. My previous pcp closed his office without warning. My health requires frequent visits and many meds I am 68yrs old and very ill at this time. If could I would immediately change issuance companys rest assured I will the next time we can. I will never suggest for any friends to join humana, this was and is still a nightmare this company should be ashamed of themselves and by the way they need to hire people who are better trained and definitely older than my great grand kids.

Humana not a very organized company

Humana Outsourcing all their call reps give misleading info and they haven't processed a claims received 6 month ago with all information needed to process... Manager dont call you back and they never pay what they say... My Doctor office staffed told me NEVERT go with humana again... I called 1/5/16, 12/28/15, 2/8/2016, still my issue has not been resolved and my Doc office called over 10 times before getting me involve they refused to transfer me to the manage who made broken promise in getting me claim processed, ... not a very organized company

Humana health insurance fraudulent insurer.

Don't let yourself be fooled...they don't payout medical claims.

They cancelled our policy when we paid them with a certified check and proved to them with the postal receipt that it was paid in time.

C Walsh promised to fix it after trying for a year...but she lied and never did.

Humana customer service

I am trying to give the correct Fax number to my Doctor. After years of
being a customer I needed a refill and after a month and a half finally
received it. They had the wrong fax number for order. I am on the phone
now for 2o minutes, been passed around 3 times and had bad customer
service...on hold without being told . Called Humana who wants to send
me back to the pharmacy where I was with a person who did not know
what she was doing. I had to repeat numbers 4 times to her. This is very
poor customer service and in the future I will be leaving.

Humana delta dental ppo - coverage

On a recorded line, I was told by a Humana representative that my dentist Dr. Edith Gevorgian, Glendale, CA, was in network and that routine cleaning would be fully covered. After my first cleaning, Dr. Gevorgian received $21 from Humana. I called Humana and was told that she was NOT in network. I asked to have my policy canceled and premium refunded. I suggested that they listen to the recorded line. They told me to write to PO. Box 14729, Grievance and Abuses. I did so enclosing a check for $21. Today I was told that there was no record of my correspondence on June 14 and August 4. After that, I searched my check records. Sure enough, Humana cashed my check for $21 in August 2015. So, they did receive my letter. I was lied to about my dentist being in network, and then I was stonewalled by customer service. Today I also received an E-mail stating that my policy was being canceled effective last August. Seriously, return every cent of my premium and send me a thank you letter for bringing this pattern of fraud to your attention.

Humana affordable health care plan

I obtained my health plan from Humana with the the Affordable Health Care in 2015. On May 1, 2015 Humana cancelled my policy due to non-payment which was paid by the Federal Government. Of course Humana did not tell me this nor did I get a letter. When I had to pay for my medication HUMIRA which costs 3, 000 per month they told me it was due to a glitch and I would get the money back. I called and called and called and was told so many times I can't count them all that the check was in process and was even given an amount. Finally in October a CSR told me that my policy was cancelled and that no money was coming back to me. I called the Affordable Health Care and they told me to appeal the decision. I did this, won the appeal and I contacted Humana spoke with a supervisor and she made a three way call to the Affordable Health Care office who told her I won the appeal and have coverage. The supervisor told me that she should have the information within 24-48 hours and she would call me back by Thursday. Of course she never did and I called today only to find out that there are no notes and they can't contact the supervisor that I mentioned and not I have to wait another 10 days. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE I have been waiting for the 3000$$$$ back since May. ALL I WANT is WHAT I PAID... RETURN MY MONEY AS I WAS OVER MY DEDUCTIBLE AND OUT OF POCKET...

Humana this company has ruined my records

Company Humana Insurance gave me wrong details and not full information about their services. After all the problems appeared, I called to the company and asked to explain what they have done, but the reps weren’t talkative and refused to tell me anything. I was so angry and because of their actions I have serious problems and my records were spoiled. Do not do business with them!

Humana refusal to pay long term customer

I cannot express how disgusting this company is. I was a young college student who was self employed and paid Humana for years! The minute I had any issues and needed help - they canceled my policy and made it impossible without attorneys to get medical bills paid. They should be out of business😔😔😓😓

Humana px medicare supplemental

I have met my deductible for my Prescription Medicare supplemental (Act [protected]-001) in January. Since, I have been paying for my co-payments which have already increased once this year. however I went to pick up my prescriptions for this month and one (Eliiquis) has gone from $79 to $109 and the other (Betamethasone ointment) has gone from $20 to $53 medication. There was no notice and I cannot afford my medication after these additional increases. I need to know why the increases occurred and how Humana is going to help me. I certainly cannot continue next year with a company with such terrible customer service.

Humana coverage & customer service

I have 2 complaints. The first one being that after calling Humana to get assigned a primary care doctor I then immediately called that doctors office and got an appointment for 30 days out. After going to my appointment on March 10th and being told to see a cardio specialist right away, I then receive a letter from Human the next day saying the primary doctor is no longer in my network and I had been assigned a new one that is 42 miles from my house!
Second complaint is that it is the following business day and I am trying to reach Humana but their website is down and I have been on hold for 47 minutes with no answer.

8/16/2015 HUMANA is the WORST! waiting on the phone for 1 1/2 hours to change primary care doctor...that Rachel couldn't find? comfirmed him through his office in the AM but HUMANA can't find? will they call me back like they said? it's been more than 48 hours? they have the worst pool of doctors, and staff that has no follow through, and they took down "comments" on the Face Book page so that you can't make a negative one, their webb page doesn't work no mater what I do I CAN'T SEND a MESSAGE? I HATE the company...

Humana poor customer service

The Humana health care corporation offers very poor customer service, They keep you on hold over and over. Sometimes as long as 30 to 45 minutes at a time. I signed up for a medigap insurance plan through them and was repeatedly given incorrect information and misled as to what they covered. They are way over priced for the poor service they offer. If you are looking for health coverage Humana is the last company I would choose after the nightmare of dealing with them.

I agree. Humana is the worst provider I ever dealt with. My experience with them proved they have no idea what they are doing when it comes to running their company and what is worse is that the only thing Humana cares about is money. I wouldn't recommend Humana to anyone. They have always had a bad reputation and the only thing that keeps them in business is through their propoganda advertising campaign which is another reason they are as high priced as they are.

on 12-21-16 I called because my parents got a letter stating that my mothers payment was not received. My father makes the payment for himself and my mother every month. So I called to straighten it out, and the agent we got put my parents on the phone when I am authorized to be on their account. He was nasty...he wouldn't give me his last name...his first name was Daniel S. don't know if he gave me the right info on his name. But he did give me a ref# [protected]. I told him after he made my parents get on the phone and answer questions that they have no idea about. He told me that I am only authorized to listen to information. I was so angry. You record everything so go back and listen to it. fathers id# H57350201 mothers id# H40612843...I am Dianne (their daughter)...I am on the account...He made both of my parents very upset. This is a disgrace that one of your customer support people does not know what the rules are for caregivers.

Humana will not pay

I am a retired federal employee with federal health insurance. My fed health plan, like most, has a minor dental coverage. I bought regular dental insurance with humana federal advantage dental VAN6 thru the federal health open enrollment . Humana will not pay my common cleaning and cracked filling charges because my fed benifit plan pays $24.00 for these services. I have called humana and talked to customer service and they assured me the problem was fixed. It isn't. For 2 cleanings and a cracked filling repair they have allowed 0 .my dentist has resubmitted all as requested by humana.I have paid a insurance co and the dentist both for these services. I feel cheated by humana.

Humana lost invoices and prescriptions inturned over to appeals department since 1/2014

I bought some oxygen equipment I found out it was out of network it cost me $3, 300 to but them I am on disability so that is a lot if money to come up with Humana will not reimburse me also now they are saying they don, t have authorization to rent me machines now they had already rented my machines but when I bought the other machines they discontinued renting if I don, t get reimbursed I cannot pay the credit cards and might lose my machines please help me

Humana charging me and no provider in my area

They sold me dental insurance, charged my credit card, only to find out that they offer no providers in my area. The closest one was 75 miles away for a dentist that they would cover. When you go to their website, they list tons of random dentists all over Fort Wayne, IN and the surrounding area. Then, they try to tell you that the $35.00 application fee was non-refundable. When you try to call to cancel and get your money back, they refuse to give you a cancellation number. You are put on "eternal" hold on the telephone, nobody responds back to emails, and it is just hours and hours of endless frustration. DO NOT EVER TRUST THIS COMPANY, IT IS FRAUDUALNT WHAT THEY DID TO ME.

Also call your credit card company and tell them it is a fraudulent charge and that you are filing a complaint with the State Insurance Commissioner.

Never do business with an insurance company over the phone. Write a letter cancelling the policy and demanding a full refund since they sold you a plan when they have no providers. Send it with a receipt requested - and copy your State Insurance Commissioner and any consumer report people you can think of in the area. They might go on radio or tv and tell people in your area of the problem and save other people from the same problem.

Humana poor service, poor coverage

I have had a lot of different health and dental plans over the years due to frequent relocation, but I have never, ever seen such a lack of professionalism, poor service, incompetence on the phone, tardiness, and outright lying to the customer and the dentist on the phone as in the case of Humana Dental PPO. I have been waiting for cost predetermination for a dental procedure for more than 6 months now. According to my dentist's office, predetermination usually takes about a month with other insurance companies. Humana Dental takes 60 days and then, on the top of that, does not meet its own deadlines. 60 days became more than 6 months and still nothing. How difficult is it to determine a cost of procedure? The worst part is that they keep saying to me and the dentist's office on the phone that they have not received all necessary information for predetermination. The dentist's office gave them all necessary information from the beginning and now keeps resubmitting it; I gave Humana Dental the information on the phone a couple of times. In private, the dental offices disclose that that's what Humana Dental does - delaying the paperwork to get more monthly payments from the subscriber (or customer) before denying their claims.

Humana false advertising

Humana promotional materials fail to fully disclosed what they mean by "in-network". They lead you to believe it is any specialist doctor that has a contract with Humana to accept the Humana Gold Plus (HMOPOS) plan. This is NOT true. My primary care physician (PCP) is a member of the Dupage Medical Group (DMG). A 300 doctor plus group with all kinds of specialists. They will not refer you to other specialists outside their (DMG) group, even those they are listed in the Humana Provider Directory. I carefully checked that both my Primary doctor and my eye surgeon were in the Provider Directory prior to signing up with Humana Gold Plus (HMOPOS). If I had known about this bait and switch I would have never signed up with them.
Medicare regulates everything about Medicare Advantage plans. They need take action against Humana. All those currently enrolled in Humana Gold Plus should be allowed to switch out immediately.

Humana correct humana id card

Today I made my 6th request for the correct ID card from Humana. For 2013 I declined their Vision Coverage and it has shown up on every card that I have been sent. Tried many times on the phone and online to get this resolved, but still they have the incorrect ID Card online for me - it still has Vision on it. What do you have to do to get someone at their customer service to get it right! Insurance is great, but the CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TERRIBLE. They never have the same info on the phone as theydo online, since we are in the electronic age you would expect accurate info at both sources! Just wonder what my file looks and where it is?

Humana withdrawal of funds not authorized

On February 12, 2013 I contacted Humana One in regard to pricing on a Medicare Supplement policy for myself. I repeatedly told the agent that I was not financially ready to commit to a policy that day but was "shopping". The agent gave me three different priced plans and after discussing them thoroughly I told him I was interested in Plan N. He continued to take information for the application process, but informed me that the policy would have to go through the "underwriting department" before approval and that any premium deduction would not occur until March 1st IF I was approved. The next day the underwriting department called me. The agent I spoke with was "Penny" and after a series of questions she informed me that I was "DENIED" based on the fact that I took the medication "Simvastatin:. I thanked her for her time and hung up. Today, February 19, 2013, Humana deducted $97.43 from my checking account for a policy premium that I was denied. I immediately called both the underwriter and Customer Care only to be told that I would have to wait 4 weeks for my refund and that they could not put the money back in my account. The kicker is that their draft caused my account to be overdrawn, but my bank honored it and charged me a $30 courtesy pay fee. I have emailed them with no response. I don't feel I should have to wait 4 weeks for a refund and I also think I should be reimbursed for the $30 courtesy pay fee that was incurred by a draft that was not authorized.

Humana unable to get signed up for 3 weeks

They are the worst I have ever had to deal with. I just joined this year, 2013. They would not let me get things set up until Jan 1st. They said Humana would not give them access to my files until then. On Jan 1st I was on hold until my cell phone went dead. On Jan 2dn I had a fresh charge and was put on hold until it went dead again, 3 and 1/2 hours later. Thursday I used a land line and was disconnected every time I was put on hold. Friday I was on hold again. I watched a movie and was still on hold. I had things to do so I left the phone off the hook and left. when I returned 7 and a 1/2 hours I was still on hold. I finally got threw on Saturday the 6th. I gave all my info including my DR and meds with phone numbers and everything else he asked for. I was told I could get a tracking number on the 9th. I called on the 9th and was told they had no prescriptions on file for me so nothing had been ordered. I had my doctor fax them everything they asked for exactly the way they said they wanted it. I waited a week and called for a tracking number. I was told the same as last time nothing on file and nothing ordered. I finally wound up on a conference call with the RX and my doctors office. I listened in while they got everything straighten out. I was told due to all the failures on their part she would get it filled and shipped immediately. I called for a tracking number and found my order in process for 3 days. on the 4 day it said it was shipped. The 4 day is Saturday, UPS does not pickup on weekends. The following Monday is a holiday so my order will not go out until Jan 22. I will have been without my blood pressure meds for a month if they do get here in the 7 to 10 days they say they will. I do have the option of paying for meds at a pharmacy, with my disability income I have nothing left to pay for meds so that is not an option in my case.

I am filing this complaint on every site I can find, I hope you do the same. These people have a contract with us and are not living up to what we were promised.

If I had not experienced how dis organized and in efficient they are I would find most of these complaints hard to believe.About half way down the first page I see someone has filed a complaint with the Attorney Generals office.

Humana denied vital narcotic medicare without warning

Social Security made a mistake, they put me on Medicaid, after 10 years I finally got the correct medication to which I had no side affects. after trying many medications, found my genetics limited me. I suffered a stroke or two being a guinea pig. now I have not only intense pain as a result of free silicone injected in 1970 which migtated who knows where, I cannot understand paperwork nor communicate and seriously who would send paperwork to a disabled person, isn't this for Physicians and Medicare? Medicaid signed me up for Humana after Medicare's second mistake. Humana filled my prescriptions for 2 months, Medicaid had filled my prescription without problems for 2 years. without notice, on a holiday weekend, I can't get my prescription filled, do to my genetic makeup I cannot take generic. Purdue Pharma provide this medication free for people who Social Security and Medicare has left devastated. previously when I did have Medicare, I had United Healthcare. had no problems getting surgery or medications until the very day I had surgery on a torn rotator cuff, I was advised I was now on Medicaid. for some reason employee cut backs misplaced my files, all of my social security money went to pay for specialists, 500 dollars a month medications, and being disabled I wasnt quite able to figure it all out. I'm not sure what to do about this but Social Security now wants their money back. I was actually disabled for years and denied for applications for disability, denied for times for vocational rehabilitation, I was homeless, let me rephrase that, I suffered unstable living conditions. all of those people had to be paid back. truth of the matter is my family had to become financially
devastated also before "dire need"" went into affect. I never got the appropriate therapy from my surgery, I never got a medication after my surgery because I had been to a specialist which now I couldn't go to because someone didn't take 5 minutes to correct the computer and change me from Medicare and Medicaid. for 8 months I suffered. I'm still suffering. I've been beaten, robbed, and more. somehow disabled people must give off a scent making us more vulnerable. It is not in my good conscience to take a 3000 dollar ambulance trip to the hospital, get a shot a pat on the head and crawl home. I realize Nevada funding is limited. my granddaughter was hit by an uninsured driver what eating an ice cream in a crosswalk, near a school, in a 25 mile per hour zone. she was life flighted to Reno. and subsequently spent almost the next year in San Francisco childrens hospital. I was scheduled for a double masectomy, with this
much suffering I'm not getting it. I'm fine on maintenance. I'm actually saving a lot of money for going the specialists, monthly visits in lab work, and transportation costs for being driven. I was in the legal arena, Search and Rescue, nominated to Peace Corps, widowed in 1980 with 6 children, not a willing addict but now I will die and and experiencing horrible with withdrawls because you manana are money greedy, spending literally millions on television advertising . and they send paperwork to a disabled person. what's wrong with this picture? respectfully submitted

Humana phramarcy staff and so called advisor doctors are heartless humans who have a God complex because they have the power to deny or approve medication that is not on their list. I am allergic to many types of pain medication but they will not approve what my doctor has written me. They are heart less [censored]s.
