Huddle House - terrible terrible experience and I didn't even say to eat!

My husband and I went out to dinner at 7 pm tonight to the Waynesville NC Resturant. When we first walked in we noticed that all the blinds were pulled and it wasn't to block the sun out. Should have been a tale tale sign something was up but we went on in anyway. The waitress was nice but couldn't for the life of her remember to get our drinks. Then we placed our order. About that time this lady came out from behind the counter explaining to the customers before us that she had to go back and get stock so it was gonna be a minute. Talking about how long she's worked and there was just two of them there. Well it was obvious she was on drugs (meth) and had a knife on her belt. They immediately got up and walked out without eating. Then she came to us and told us she was sorry it would be a minute for our order and that she was out of grilled onions. Then the other meth head pacing back and forth (not sure why he was there and it was creepy) was having words with the only other two customers in there which was an old man and woman. Then some other tattoo covered guy (which would have probably at least fixed our food came in yelling about them not waiting on people) so we just got up and left. The lady that was suppose to be fixing our food was outside as we left cursing about having to work to much yelling and screaming at someone other lady who I hadn't seen. So you lost two sets of customers and I love huddle house but will not return. I understand the problem with finding good employees but (yes I'm being judge mental) all of these employees seemed to be on drugs and more than likely meth. They could not for the life of them function enough to get our food cooked. Honestly I felt very uncomfortable and unsafe in that atmosphere. Won't be returning. Hopefully you can address this and bring it back to the huddle house my family use to eat at weekly. I wouldn't dare take my family in there now. So I am at fat buddies and my evening out with my husband turned into an adventure.

Huddle House - gender discrimination against naacp member

I have a member (Ronald Billings) that has recently been hired by the Huddle House in Waynesville, NC for the second time. The first time he left employment of the business was done with a proper notice. Ronald is gay black male and the hiring manager was well aware of his sexuality when he was hired.
Ronald was rehired 11/18/18. On 11/21/2018 he worked with an employee that had been there before made no secret of her distaste for homosexuality but there had been no problems.
On this particular afternoon the female employee made several comments to her "regular" customer concerning Ronalds sexuality. He overheard her but decided to let it go until one of his customers that overheard the comments mentioned it to him.
At the end of his shift Ronald quietly and politely stated his concern to this employee and was blown off as if he were making this up. She in turn ran to the phone and called the manager to defend herself before he was notified.
Ronald finished his shift, left and called the manager simply to request not to have to work with this particular employee again.
On 11/23/2018 Ronald received notice of termination due to a "corporate complaint".
In speaking with other employees I was told that if there has been a complaint lodged it was from a family member of the for-mentioned employee and not a customer.
The bottom line is that Ronald has been terminated because of the homophobia of one other employee; possibly a shift manager and we do intend to pursue this discrimination claim unless there can be a formal and satisfactorily explanation granted to Ronald.
Waynesville is a very rural area where there are racism and homophobia are an underlying problem but the fact that The Huddle House is a great franchise with a diverse customer base this situation is shocking, appalling and beyond words.
It has to be addressed.
