It appears that someone tried to apply for an HSBC credit card TWICE in my name. Fortunately, they were denied as they were unable to confirm my identity, but when I tried to call the fraud department, it was apparent that they OUTSOURCE their services, because I could barely understand the person at the other end of the phone. Even now, the issue is unresolved.
