Houston, Tx 77087.Who my husbsnd & I went for advice on fililng forms to get a hardship loan from his 401K from his employer.She spoke little english and didn't know much about this matter and was asking another H&R Block agent .We were then charged $25 dollars for what? I asked & she said that is the fee to give tax advice.We have been filing our taxes with H&R Block 10918 Fuqua Houston TX 77089 for over 18yrs and being loyal customers .I do not understand the $25fee. I am very upset.

I filed my taxes for the first time online on 4/11 through HR Block. I have reached out to my "tax Professional" three times since and have yet to have any type of response. I only know her name and phone number provided on the profile. Lisa Card [protected]. I don't know what my next steps are or what to do next. she has not responded to emails through the site or phone messages. How is that professional? I'm still not sure what I am supposed to do! Not a positive first experience - she is terrible

H&R Block / HRB Digital extension for small family trust

El Cerrito CA. Joseph Robinson office manager. Steven Min EA. On Mon April 16 met (appointment) EA for one purpose to complete trust return. EA was not able to execute, frustrated we agreed to extension. EA was not able to comfirm form was received by IRS. Called me at 5pm to say form was not rec'd. I paid 104.50 for service, which was not completed. My family is requesting price accommodation due to incomplete service. I seek refund of 50%, $52.25. My phone number [protected].

Attempted to have tax return done, had appointment. EA Min was unfamiliar with proper procedure (small trust) and suggested to do extension. I took his advice.
Did the form, I paid the HR Block fee about 105.00 and was told that form would be submitted electronically. At 5pm that day the EA called to tell me that the form was not confirmed and I needed to scramble, come down get a paper copy and run to Post Office ASAP. A total fiasco. I have contacted the office manager. I asked for a credit of 50% of my fee. The office manager instructed me to come to this site.

H&R Block / HRB Digital being charged for software I didn't purchase online

H&R Block - see attachment for charges

To whom this may concern:

I checked my banking account today and found that I was charged $31.70, then credited $31.70, then charged another $10.55. First of all I did not purchase any of your software online. I purchased the H&R Tax Software from Walmart back in January 2018, paid for at Walmart . I e-filed with the software, not with any online purchase. Why am I being charged and furthermore why do you have my banking account number when I purchased the software from a store not online?

Funny thing is, I called the [protected] number listed on my bank account (see attached) and after a 35 minute wait, I was told that you had an account on me, for which I never registered the product. Then I asked if you had my bank account information on file and I was told no. So how did I have a registered account and how did you charge my bank account?

I will now have to change my banking account and debit card, because of this. I want an explanation as to how you have my personal information and was able to charge my banking account. I will be reporting this to the Better Business Bureau if I do not see a resolution to this issue. Also your staff at the Tier 2 level was rude and obnoxious! I wish I had wrote down his name. Basically he told me that if I didn't like your products then return it to Walmart, negating the fact that your company is the one charging my account and I do not know how you have my personal information.

Tried to email complaint to ( fcdigital@hrblock.com ) mind you, it was the address I was given the first time I called H&R Block customer service. Well, it doesn't exist or they gave me an incorrect email address. I have been on and off hold for 25 minutes, spoke with two people, neither one knew the right address to send complaints? and then put me on hold for a third time and a pre-recorded message states, " due to high call volumes we will need you to call back at a later time." I will never purchase or deal with H&R Block Software or customer service after I get this resolved. Done! I am so angry with the fact that I did not register the product I purchased from Walmart, nor did I authorize my account to be charged by you. I only e-filed. So how do you have all my information?

H&R Block / HRB Digital tax rep was falsifying my tax information!!!

This year I went to H & R block. I met Sashi Sathanayagam a tax rep at 1425 forest ave, S.I, NY. To start off she was asking a million questions and then says I need my birth certificate, social, proof of address. I don't have all those documents on me so I cancel. A few days later I go to another H and R block. As the other rep was looking into my taxes shes say "you filed already with TurboTax" I say no. Come to find out Miss Sathanayagam put that I filed already with turbo tax..big lie. She had my wrong address (someone else would've had my state refund), wrong cell number and probably the worse is she decreased my annual wages by almost $3000! Who gave her the authority to amend my annual wages? And falsely all my information? The manager at the other H & R block had to override her mistakes. I could've been in big trouble with the IRS because she choose to lie.

H&R Block / HRB Digital taxes!!

Filed my return electronically through H&R Block, and was given a Direct Deposit date of 2/22. On 2/22 the money was not deposited to my Wells Fargo checking account. I called H&R Block they said to give it an additional 3-5 business days to be deposited to a third party bank. Okay, I wait and I call after 5 business days and 4 people later I find out my refund was sent to a completely different routing number and account number. Not even close to mine! I had to open a claim with H&R Block, after 7 days waiting they tell me they can't help me further because it's not their responsibility... they give me the routing number and account number and I had to contact the bank it was deposited too myself. Thankgod was rejected and sent back to the Irs. I call the IRS they say a mailed check will be sent 5-7 weeks. Cool I wait 7 weeks still nothing, I contact the IRS again, the money was sent back to H&R Block Corp. for them to take out their fees. Wow! I submitted a check replacement form a week ago and put it on their Emerald card because it only takes 1-2 business days. It is now business day 5... never file with H&R Block! This is a nightmare. My 5 thousand dollars doesn't mean anything to anyone I speak too. Half of them I can't even understand because they have such heavy accents. Worst company ever!

Was using an H&R Block disc downloaded to my computer to pay my taxes and someone else's but could not get state return to download, ended up paying for it 3 times. Called the 888 number for help finding out why it would not download. The person I talked to WOULD NOT TRANSFER ME, although she told me she could NOT help me, unless I GAVE HER MY DATE OF BIRTH AND LAST 4 OF MY SOCIAL, which had nothing to do with what I needed. I refused to give her this information and she refused to transfer me - OVER and OVER and OVER. For 30 minutes she wasted my time and hers telling me she could not transfer me without that information. She finally transferred me and I held another 15 minutes waiting for someone to come on the line. During this 15 minutes, my husband and I tried 1 last time (the 3rd) to download the state program and it worked. Once the person came on the line I told her we had gotten it to download and I'd just call my credit card company to get the refund if I was charged 3 times (of course I was, it's H & R BLOCK) and I asked to be put into the survey about my experience and she wouldn't do it until I let her credit the 2 additional times I had been charged for a program that downloaded 1 TIME ONLY. So I let her because Dear God, I just wanted off the phone with these people. This took another 15 minutes for her to credit the overcharges. I then asked again to be put into the survey and I held another 15 minutes. Never did get into that survey, finally hung up because I had other things to do. Worst Custer service EVER. These people should NOT be answering phones, I'd say they should not be helping customers but since they don't do that anyway that's not an issue. With both people I talked to today (who sounded exactly like the same person) there was SO MUCH background noise and laughing in the background I could barely even hear them.

My name is Brian Montgomery [protected]) and my tax preparation experience was unacceptable this year.

On my first session, the tax preparer (I don't want to mention her by name) was completely inadequate and incompetent. She was a few minutes late, which I understood. After helping me for 23 minutes, she excused herself because she needed to help another client. She was gone for 58 minutes (I paid attention to the time). My session bled into my son's time (he was scheduled after me). She miscalculated several times and accidentally omitted my property taxes. That was a $2, 600 omission. When she was done (well into my son's session time), she said that I owed over $1, 500 federal. I knew that was incorrect, without looking into the numbers. We left and rescheduled with another preparer (Ludmila Gromova). We had used her the year before. It turns out that I only owed $418, which was what I had expected. However, paying over $500 for the preparation is more than twice as much as I expected - especially after wasting almost two hours of my time with the previous preparer. My son is going to try using turbo tax, instead of using Block, simply because of the processing fee. I doubt that we will return next year.

I used Ludmila G last year and had a great experience with her as well. Im sorry you got the awful one first. I feel lucky I got Ludmila first. My question is THIS YEAR 2019 I can find NO trace of her. HR Block won't tell me anything other than she is not there. Did you happen to keep track fo her? Thanks for your post. Have a great day :)

Wow...Brian Montgomery! I just had the same type experience on April 13, 2018 with an H & R Block Preparer
(Ms. Y. Mclean) in Linden, NJ, when filing a 1040 FORM for my Year 2017 taxes. She kept stopping intermittently and spent over 30 mins talking to me about her personal life while working on my taxes. Which I felt very uncomfortable about for fear of error on her part. When she was done with my Federal taxes, the preparer told me that I owed $16, 301.00. I almost fell off my chair!
I told her NO that can't be right! I have NEVER owed THAT much money to the IRS!
She continued to say that it was correct. Finally, I said to her, "I am DISABLED...
and on a fixed income. Doesn't that count
for something?" She then says to me,
"Ohhhhh, you're disabled?" I said, " YES.
I gave you the SSA1099 Form." She says, "Oh, that will make a difference." I mean she saw me as I walked in with the aid of a cane, at the onset of our session. She had to re-calculate my taxes. She did so in a very rushed manner. It turned out that I only owed $3, 307.00, which is still alot. If I had NOT said anything to the Preparer, I would have left the H & R Block Office in Linden, NJ, thinking I owed $16, 301.00. Ontop of that, I requested the Preparer to complete an " Installment Agreement" to pay the IRS back the $3, 307.00. She (Ms. Y. Mclean) told me, I'd have to come back another day, because she didn't have time that day to complete the Agreement, because she had another client waiting for her in the waiting room. I was very upset with her response. Because had she NOT omitted the Form SSA1099 and continuously stopped to talk about her personal life, then she would NOT have messed up preparing my taxes and would also have had time to complete
an "Installment Agreement". I did agree to
come back for completion of that Agreement, just to be done with it!
Upon going to the receptionist desk to pay for the preparation of my taxes, I used my
Debit Card. Ms. Y. Mclean stood right there
next to me inputting some of the info'
I did NOT see the COST. NOR did she inform me of the COST to prepare my taxes prior to nor after preparation of my Year 2017 taxes. I assumed that the cost was $212.00, as it was last year to prepare my YEAR 2016 taxes in which the preparer used FORM 1040A. But it turned out that I was charged $352.00 for preparing my YEAR 2017 taxes. I could see if I owned property and had a business, etc. But, I have nothing, except the income I reported to her and very small mutual fund of which she was unsure how to input it in the computer. I DID NOT find out that I was charged the $352.00 prep fee, until two days later on April 15, 2018, when I just decided to go online to check my banking statement.
When I saw that the tax preparer (Ms. Y. Mclean) from H & R Block had charged my
$352.00 instead of last year's $212.00,
I WAS LIVID! I called the
Manager Mario (?) Rodriguez on 4/15/18.
He said he would look over my tax prep, and get back to me on 4/16/18 @ 11:00 am.
He did call me back, offered NO resolve to benefit me. I told him that my income is fixed, as I get a pension and social security disability. There were NO real changes that occurred to my income. So why did the preparer use a 1040A Form
this Year 2018 versus a 1040 Form Year 2017. Also, WHY am I being charged a ($352.00)preparation fee which is $140.00 MORE THAN last Year 2017's preparation fee of $212.00 ?
I am hoping that this complaint gets to the right person/people, so that they can offer me some assistance in getting some of that prep fee back. Also, I want people to know that this is the second bad experience that I've had with H & R Block.
Some of their preparer's need added training, and the fee's are waaaaay
too high! I can say UNEQUIVOCALLY that I will NEITHER refer NOR deal with H & R Block ever again! I'm sure the Bloch brother's would NOT appreciate losing a good customer such as me!

H&R Block / HRB Digital tell city h & r block

The smell is so overwhelming it makes you want to have a tissue soaked in turpentine to block the stench. It smells of body odor and bad breath. I stayed an hour. As soon as I got home I washed my clothes and took a bath, I even had to use a baby wipe to clean out my nose. This not a good representation of your business. I would condemn the place, relocate it. I will never set foot in there again unless there are changes made. All well known business have a standard to up hold. It is a shameful situation that needs rectified.

Person filed taxes fraudulently using h&r block digital. I have never used them! I have used the same accountant for the past 20 years! H&r block ended up depositing funds into my account. Trying to find out who it belongs to because of the irs did, I need to give the funds back. Been on the phone over this past week with a case number. Still no answers. Called 1-855-211-5334, 1-855-897-8639, & 1-866-606-3400. On hold now with customer service, who is not very rude. Did nothing. Was told again that I should be receiving a phone all within 48 hours!

I saw an advertisement on television last week for an offer to charge half of what I was charged the previous year to do my taxes. I called the local office and mentioned to the woman who answered the phone that I wanted to take advantage of the promotion and to set an appointment. She sent the appointment for this past Monday 3/26. I met with the tax preparer and while she was preparing my tax return, I mentioned to her that I was glad to have a good discount on the preparation this year. She informed me tha the promotion was over the day before 3/25 and couldnt honor it. I explained to her that this was why I was there. Not only didn't they honor the offer, they charged me $592.00 dollars which was way more than the #327.00 I paid the year before.
Pure bait and switch!

H&R Block / HRB Digital income taxes

I filed my taxes with H&R Block as I have done for many many years and ended up needing to do an amendment. Chose not to return to the original preparer as I didnt find him to be knowledgeable at all in the way that I have been used. Went to 2nd location to complete the amendment and complete an injured spouse form. Did so and filed it right away. Received my taxes back now from IRS stating they were missing information. Had to return again to H &R Block only to find out that the 2nd person put my dollar amounts in the wrong columns AND forgot to attach some of the necessary forms to send to IRS. They had to re-do my taxes and reprint everything again which tied me up in their office for another 1 1/2 hours. On top of all their mistakes they still made me pay the postage to remail it again. Lets hope this time (3rd attempt) they got it right. They charged me like $281.00 to do these taxes and I dont even have or own anything except 2 kids and a husband!

my biggest complaint besides having to wait 15 minutes even tho I have an appointment is the fact after I was done she couldn't figure something out so I had to go at a later date to sign after she figured it out...i signed it on the 16th and it was not filed untill the 22nd I know my friend used turbo tax and it was filed the second he finished I am pretty upset that I spent way more money and it didn't get filed right away I don't see what h and r block did for me except delay my refund and charge me 300

H&R Block / HRB Digital prepaid emerald card

I filed my taxes with h&r block this year so j could apply for there loan advance I got a 500$ was much needed at the time so I was happy. fast forward to when I got my taxes, all the fees for them doing my taxes and the loan amount was taken. I signed up for text alerts so that every time I used my card I would get a balance of whats left. I took a a trip to vegas and stayed at mirage casino they used the card to place 200$ for deposit for both nights stayed, that was fine after checking out I waited a week and the money was still not put back on card I called casino to see if I got charged for anything and to see why my money has not been released they said check with your card holder because sometimes it could take a week so I waited then I called h&r block with the number on the back of the card they told me the card was never charged and they could not find it on my statement. I let them no that it was charged I got 2 texts alerts the moment they swiped my card and have my email from casino saying that was the card that was charged and the money should be back to it. I went to file a claim with h&r block but the lady was very rude and said we can't file a claim if there is no record of it on the statement I explained to her that it was charged and something wasn't right she made me seem like I was crazy and that money was never tooken from my account so after the phone call I went on my account to add everything up my self thinking I was wrong but nope I am missing 200$ and some one needs to help me find out what happened to it.. Money is really tight and 200$ is a big deal to me. I need to speak with someone to go though my account with and help me get my money. I have texts and emails to prove it. my next step is to take h$r block to small claims for robbing my money and trying to hide it.

H&R Block / HRB Digital incompetent management

For the past two years I had been going to the H&R Block office on the corner of Sherbrooke street east and Langelier in Montreal.

I was very satisfied with their services. Perfect service.

But Holy smoke, I went at the Pointe Aux Trembles office on Sunday 11 2018 and could not believe that this office was in operation.

Incompetent staff, only one staff available on Sunday 11/03/2018, the Lady had to act as receptionist and accountant at the same time, so could not proceed to help anyone. Only two employees on the 12/03/2018, music blasting from the shopping mall speaker which is installed in the ceiling of the local 1400 St-Jean Baptiste in Pointe aux Trembles, Montreal and gives a completely stressful waiting time experience.

Nobody was present at the front desk on the 12/03/2018, therefore no customer greetings. Customers completely ignored.

Staff could not even figure out how the computers worked and were locked out due to codes.

We go to H&R block because they are supposed to be Pros, and the service is the most expensive on the market due to them being supposedly Pros.

To tell you the truth, I do not even think I should have been charged for their services.

Terrible experience and waste of time, the manager should be replaced

H&R Block / HRB Digital information the government asked for

I got my taxes done at H&R a few years in a row. Unfortunately there was an issue with one of the years taxes, which ended up being more proof of rent receipts. Canada Revenue Agency contacted H&R Block for that information and they decided the best solution was to resend them the information they sent them that wasn't good enough for Canada Revenue Agency and the reason they asked for more information. When I called H&R Block to get the information they sent to Canada Revenue Agency, and the information I gave them for my rent that wasn't good enough, they said they couldn't help me because my file isn't on a computer, it's a physical file in a million other files in a storage unit somewhere in Ontario. I was baffled I couldn't access my own file because finding it is just too much effort because they didn't put anything on a computer or hard drive they could access. Very disappointed. Needless to say I have not, and will not use H&R Block again due to their neglect, filing issues, and customer service.

Hi there we did our taxes this year and the lady we had was amazing, but we found out the past two years we have paid to have your company do our taxes and yet have screwed ip the past two years ...2015 we got a nice chunck back due to having a child and her daycare, well little did we know the copied our daycare receipt so it wasnt all showing, with that being said we never got anything informing us of anything. 2016 came along we did our taxes again threw your company the lady we had didmt evem look at us but did the taxes quickly and told us we owed over 2000 never explained why when asked. So this year we finally had a lady give us answers which that was that 2015 they incorrectly copied the receipt so everyrhing we had recieved was takin away and to be paid back. But again we didnt know anything about it as no one contacted us nor did we get a paper. So then again to go in 2016 and have a lady who didnt care we still had no idea what had gone on till she said we owed ans never gave us an explanation...till this year where the lady was amazing told us everything which we are now trying to properly fix it. So we have paid for 3 years of taxes for your company to screw them up and not give proper customer service. We would like of two years as we have paid 200 each time and to be screwed over because they didnt do their job properly. I told my spouse to go to you guys as i thought you were great but he has made it very clear we will not be going back next year because to pay you guys to do something and not take fault for the actions is not right. So we will not be returning next year. And again we would like 2 years worth of paying your employees to do nothing but screw us back. Oh ya because as it is she kept our receipt for daycare in 2015 so now we have to pay an additional 50 for them to get it out of our file.

H&R Block / HRB Digital complain of the h&r block front desk customer service who has refused to give me my copies of tax return

I djamel riba had filled a completed of my tax return at the office of h & r block at 12958- 82 street Edmonton - AB
I had completed & received my tax returned refund / reimbursement with out the copy of the document (copies of my tax return)
they had requested a signature of spouse and my signature in the h & r block witch I had provided but when I asked for the copies they had refused to give me my copies & the copies of my spouse with no any reason that am a wear of.
also I would like to inform you that the customer service at the front desk of h & r block office of 12958- 82 street - Edmonton Alberta is not relay doing here job or treating customer properly in professional manner. witch means she does not seems tho have any idea about here work duties when the customer ask here about any of the information of tax return or any other information another word not a professional meaner not paying any attention to here work bad poor unwanted proprietor communication rudeness ignoring customer, ect.. with customer. am reporting this customer agent services who has a tattooing in here left hand.
am complaining about the agent of h & r block of 12958- 82 street - Edmonton Alberta.

kindly can you contact the office of H& R at : 12958- 82 street - Edmonton Alberta and request my copies of tax return document immediately please.

please accept my respect to this matter.

I look forward to your response to resolve this problem so I can be able to received or pick up my tax return document.

H&R Block / HRB Digital customer service-no service from betty parham, h and r block

Betty Parham, "tax professional?", H and R Block, Branson, Missouri refuses to process my tax return. I have sent multiple emails with the appropriate documents, I have spoken to her in person, and after 2 weeks she has not reviewed my simple return so that it can be filed. Yesterday I spoke to Tracy in customer service (super lady!) who emailed Ms. Parham in order to prod her to do her job. After 24 hours, still, absolute silence. There is apparently a formal complaint process with H and R Block that I will begin on Monday. I will additionally be filing similar complaints with the IRS and the Missouri Department of Revenue. All of this for a $95 refund that cost me $115 paid to H and R Block for no discernible service. Maybe the belief is that I needed a new hobby.

H&R Block / HRB Digital emerald bank

Hello. My name is Christopher Custodio, I do not make a lot of money but I have managed to make do with what I have. In fact, the most I made in a year was in the upper end of twenty thousand. However, H&R Block always managed to maximize the refund amount I receive each year. I have used H&R Block every year since 2005, and have always been happy with the service.

Back in 2012, I struggled financially and have fallen back paying debts. Emerald Bank credit card was one of those obligation that I was not able to keep up with. Subsequently, I have fallen behind and completely forgotten about it. Moreover, I wished that it will all just go away. It did not. After six years, it caught up with me.

Although, I do not deny that I owed money and that it is something that I eventually have to settle, the timing was awful. I finished nursing school last December, hoping to do better and face all of these monetary obligations. Indeed, I was about to take the California nursing board this month, paying the fees with the anticipated refund but the past caught up with me. I probably deserve that. However, I wish H&R Block / Emerald Bank had given me notice beforehand, or could have taken what I owe back in 2013 or 2014 or 2015 maybe 2016 or should have been in 2017 instead of 2018.

This year's federal refund is money that I will never see along with the allotted spending plan. Hence, H&R Block / Emerald Bank sequestering my refund pushes my nursing board testing date further back. This may be legal and I even concede that it is rightful, but where is your heart. H&R Block / Emerald Bank, where is my refund?
