Housequake.com / discrimination against christians

1 United States Review updated:
Contact information:

Talk about christian discrimination! I was once a member of housequake.com, and I was criticized for expressing that gay marriage is wrong. There were quite a few people who agreed with it, so I decided to use scripture against the issue. I did not post scriptures first, but after they did, I began to do the same. I was criticized for using scriptures, which eventually caused me to booted off of the website. Even though everyone was defending their belief in having gay marriage, I was banded from the website for defending god's word. For anyone who wants to join a 'prince' fan website, please, do a thorough research of housequake.com before you join.

There is nothing in the bible about gay marriage. or being gay. or whatever. if you want to use a book that was written in a different time and place by a bunch of different people for various political reasons to defend your hate, then you probably wouldn't mind: bringing back slavery, committing mass genocide, viewing pornography (read that song of solomon real close), and performing various hate crimes, among other things. stop using religion to slew your hate.

I decided to check into the hub-bub you talk about. wow. amazing... I feel for you. how could anyone be so closed minded to what someone else is saying? they really bashed on you good, it would seem. that sucks... are you getting the sarcasm? in the posts that I will assume were yours, there was nothing that even remotely was passible for logic, but only for blind intolerance. the kind that allowed slavery for so long, and still is around today (evidenced by the kkk).

You were removed because you were spewing hatred and were told not to do so. you continued, and were removed. you were told several times, and warned not to continue, but did so. according to the terms and conditions of the site, you were in violation, and thus removed. hiding behind an ancient book does not make you right. period.

    Now, on to the meat...

So god does not tolerate homosexuality? but he (in the form of jesus), tolerated thieves, harlots, and drunks? seems a bit of a two sided blade. god created man and woman, in genesis. adam and eve. let's think about this logically. there were only two people. they had two son's. one killed the other and was banished. he went to the land of nod to start his own tribe. with who??? monkeys??? snakes??? if you read this the way you choose (which is very literal to only support your "high moral" qualities), he had to have died alone since god only created two! so that again leaves adam and eve. sure they had more children. but how did those children have more? remember, god only created adam and eve, who originally had two boys, cain and abel, one of which was murdered, the other sent off to play with himself, leaving only adam and eve. the only answer is incest. so, reading the bible the way you do (literally), god hates homosexuals (which in a post on the original website you say is shown in the destruction of sodom and gommorra... a poor reading if taken in context of the entire story, but again...), but incest is okay! oh my goodness.

Don't bring anything about the 10 commandments either. they were laws that were made long before the bible (check out the code of hammurabi, which predates the ten commandments by a couple thousand years). besides, there are two versions in the bible, so either someone doesn't know they were there before, or it didn't get edited well.

Don't tell of "god's unchanging word." that is a lie. it changed somewhere around... um matthew 1:1. suddenly, god is no longer so vengeful, spiteful, and hateful, but is a hippie! if you are a christian, you will notice that jesus goes against what god had laid out in the old testament. if god is infallible (if that is a big word it means perfect), then there should be no jesus. the new testament proves that either "god's word changes," or that god isn't as perfect as you would want to believe.

Obviously, for a person who is so "bible literate," you do what most bible thumpers do, pick and choose, take out of context, and apply to your cause. you give true christians, thinking christians, honest christians, proper christians, true followers of jesus a bad name. honestly, and I don't believe this will ever happen, if there is a second coming, jesus would be appalled by what hate you and your ilk have spewn in his name.

It is amazing to know that one of you know stories from the bible, but your understanding of the stories is way wrong! god says that his word remains true forever. it has been corrupted overtime by other religions. what god word remains forever, but what men have done to it on earth has caused it to change. if you read in god's holy word (the holy bible) it continues to reain the same. by going with other views of the bible, yes, you would see that they have chnged and twisted his words. god does not just condemn homosexuality. he despises, debauchery (drunkards), sexual immorals, idolaters, liars, murderers, adultery, just to name the sort. it is not that god changes his word, it is that god's word is continuously being changed by men over the years. they want to make it fit their beliefs in order to prove their point, just like you and the other person are doing. why is it a problem with everyone that I am defending god's word? why is it that you despise his word when he only wants to show you his mercy and goodness? god sent his son, jesus christ, who was god in the flesh, to die for all of our sins. the reason why he did that was to have fellowship with everyone here on earth. we were all sinners, but he gave his son, jesus, as a divine offering to take away our sins so we could have eternal life (john 3:16). I know that you both expect me to remark in an abrupt manner, but I will not. god has given me compassion to be concerned for individuals like the both of you.

    Ta:

"it is not that god changes his word, it is that god's word is continuously being changed by men over the years."

This has proven everything in my original post. god did not write the bible. it was written by (drumroll) men.

Therefore, because it is written by men, and using your logic god is perfect and man is not, there is no way that it could be right. if someone dictates to another person, the chances that something will come out wrong are very high.

So, you also hate other religions? you hate jewish people and muslim? both of those religions are based around the old testament. and they believe that god's word is unchanging, too. that is not good if you hate them. if you really believe in compassion, your statement, "god says that his word remains true forever. it has been corrupted overtime by other religions," shows that you don't even understand your own religion. jesus wasn't put to death because of his religious beliefs, he was put to death by the romans for sedition, a political reason. jesus twisted the old teachings to his own political uses, and incited riots amongst the jewish people.

The words "corrupted... by other religions," are awful smug words. if you believe that "god's word" is unchanging, then jesus was the first to corrupt the religion. your use of "other religions" would then have to include yours. and the argument that jesus was god, blah blah, doesn't hold because then it says god changed his mind and became more compassionate, which is impossible with your logic because god is infallible.

As far as my association with god, it is of no consequence to you. let's just say that I am a scary thought, a church's black sheep, a thinking christian. I never, ever take what anyone says as gospel. especially since people have used god and the bible as a justification for genocide and hate. I don't despise the bible, I despise people who use it to propagate hatred. and I definately don't need the "compassion" of someone who promotes hate of another group.

As far as the other person and the comment about polyester. he is correct. it is there. deuteronomy 22:11 "thou shalt not wear a garment of divers sorts, as of woolen and linen together." (kjv) if one were to follow what they read as literally as you, you would be either buying very expensive clothing, or walking around naked... please don't do the latter.

please. i think it only fitting for taylor adams to drape himself in the fabric of his own discourse and walk around naked. it is only fitting for one who's replies so lack in substance to utterly offend the alternate senses as his nude body would offend my eyes.

in response to what you find amazing Mr./MS. androgynous Adams:

i am more shocked by the ability of people to take a religion whose sole purpose claims to be love and peace, and twist it into a source for self serving machinations. just because you aren't gay does not mean that others don't have the right to be. even if your god is against it, try not to be the person who always insists that they are right even if there is no possible way they know the answer. because really, we are all just shooting in the dark when we make our religious choices, and just because you feel comfortable devoting your reality to one ideal does not mean others should accept this. please stop pushing your radical and hate filled views onto the true majority of peace loving individuals. also, if we want to go to hell, please let us.

I am not pushing hate or hatred towards the "person". I only hate the sin that is known as homosexuality.in god's word, he talks about how perverted homosexuality is and he does not tolerate it. I am only here to let you guys know what god says, and like I told kd, I will not force it on anyone. all you and kd have to do is just hear me out and try to understand that I am trying to help you guys. I am not trying to force anything on you two. god's salvation and grace is a free gift. it does not cost anything because it was paid by the son of god, jesus christ, when he died for all of us on the cross. he did it because he loves us and he wants to have fellowship with us. it is an open gift. you just have to be willing enough to accept him. it is very simple. all you have to do is just ask for forgiveness, turn from your ways, and accept jesus christ as your personal savior. I promise you, he will never let you down nor forsake him. even right now as you and kd are being so mad and angry at him, he still loves and cares for you. all he wants is for you guys to repent and turn away completely from your ways. it is never too late, but I just pray that you just hear me out. I am not upset at you as a person, I am not happy with what it seems liek you are engaged in, which seems to be homosexuality. I just continue to pray for you because it sounds really sad to hear you say, "if we want to go to hell, please, let us go to hell." it does not have to be that way. if you want to continue posting remarks, and you really feel what I am saying, please, continue to post. all I could say is that god has called me to help individuals as such to see his glory and kindness. if you want to know about him, I am very willing to let you know that he loves you unconditionally.

    To kd:

God's word is god-inspired. to be inspired, you must have inspiration from the main source. men in the bible such as paul, matthew, and john were all inspired by god. god chose these men to write his word by "him" telling them. if you read in the books of I &ii corinthians, galatians, and many more.in each book, paul says that the word was inspired by god. that means that it was not by paul thoughts or sayings. it was by god and god only. many people try to make up logic to make god sound "unreal" for lack of better words. kd, you are trying to think up as much logic to make god sound "unreal", but it does not make any sense. every last one of your theories are easily disregarded by the word of god. I can easily refute your statements by using the word, and I highly doubt that you could find anything to refute his word. I would like to challenge you by using your logic against god's word. you will eventually come to find that god's inspired word is true and always will remain true.

First verse to refute your statement that god's word is not inspired: please read!!
This passage is written by paul who was inspired by god, which means that god is the ultimate author of the bible.

    Galatians 1:10-12

    10) for do I now persuade men, or god? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servent of christ.
    11) but I certify you, bretheren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.
    12) for I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of jesus christ.

What do you think about that?

To the comment about me being androgynous, I am certainly a woman of God. You say that word out of your pain because you are suffering to come to a conclusion about your sexuality. The calling of names does not hurt me. It only shows me how much you are suffering, and how much pain you are in. So, you could call me as much names as you want, but it will only make you realize that calling names does not make things worse for me, it only hurts yourself. I just wanted to let you know that I am a woman of God, who is happily wonderful with knowing that my Heavenly Father is wonderful!!! You could experience the same feeling, only if you want to. God is long-suffering and He cares for all. All He wants is for people to obey Him and His Word. That has been a constant struggle for many many years, since the Biblical times. It does not have to be that way, but it is.

this may be strange to you, but i am a straight person capable of empathy. The only one capable of judging the sin that you took it upon yourself to judge is your "god"

while i dont wish to get into any arguments pertaining to "existence of mythical creatures, " i would appreciate if you abide by your own rules. your morality is not the yardstick by which i or any of my friends should choose to measure themselves by.
maybe my friends interpreted the bible differently than you. maybe they feel that the salvation mentioned in the roman road is exactly what it seems. one guaranteed to murderers, idolators, gluttons, and fornicators who are willing to believe the story. simply stated, the verses in the roman road state that all sins are forgiven simply by believing in christ. having had these verses drilled into me in bible school, i am fairly confident of the veracity. granted, i did not read the original arameac as im sure you have. since you are so certain your version is the unvarnished word of god im sure you must have read that.

the androgenous comment was merely referring to the fact that it is impossible to judge from your posts or your name which gender you were/are. indeed, it is virtually impossible to determine you are human at all.

Taylor, this is 4 u. we are living in the last days. ppl everywhere r going 2 try to come against u when u say the least bit thing about god. don't argue with them. it's ignorance!!! u know what the word said. stand on it don't let anyone make u speak anything least than the truth! ppl always want 2 take sum part of the bible and make it fit their lifestyle. but, they don't realize they can't do that. god's word is real... from genesis to revelation. u know that. let these ppl talk all the "know-it all stuff" they want. but in the end, only the truth will stand. we r living n a society that has become so acceptable of sin. their eyes r blind and their ears need to be unstopped. until they want a change in their hearts, they will surely miss heaven 4 hell. be encouraged taylor and take god with u wherever u go. remember, there r still many out there lookn for a way out of their situations and sins.

I thank you so much!!! I never thought that so many people would just blow up because I mentioned one simple fact such as homosexuality. they are confusing the fact that I am using god's word as a wa to "slew" my hatred. I have been in apologetiscs for a while now and it has been tough, I am pretty sure that you understand. it is just sad to see that one comment from kd (or darkeegan) which stated that "if we want to go to hell, then please, let us go." all I want to do is share the good news to others about god so they would know that he is surely real and everyone is going to face judgement sooner or later and that they are going to realize that all of their so-called "beliefs" are going to fade away like everything else in the world. I have been struggling with this issue for a few weeks now and it has been rough!!! so, if you would like to help me out, I would appreciate it. this is what god called his children to do. tell others about him. share the good news, the gospel, the word. if we are ashamed of it, god said that he would be ashamed of us. I just think that it is time for others to know that his word will prevail throughout time, while other things will fade away. thanks alot m[censored] god bless you and may you continue to be in his word.

It seems as if what I have been saying has hit a nerve with you because it is making you actually think about god and his word. I was reading in the bible yesterday about the wisdom from the (holy) spirit.in I corinthians 2:14-16 it said, "14) the man without the spirit does not accept things that come from the spirit of god, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.15) the spiritual man makes judgements about all things, but he himself is not subjected to any man's judgement:16)"for who has known the mind of the lord that he may instruct him?" but we have the mind of christ.
When you made the comment about me being androgynous, I wanted to make certain to you that I was a woman of god. I thought that since you were making remarks that a homosexual would post you were or were in agreement of having homosexual marriage. you should have adressed me about your orientation beforehand so I would not have assumed that you were. by you hurling slurs and insults, it does not hurt me. you are only hurting yourself because you want to keep a wall as a guard around yourself when it comes to god and his word. it does not have to be that way.
When god sent his son, jesus christ who was god in the flesh, he sacrificed himself as a divine offering to recocile our relationship with god. when he did this he washed away our sins, but that did not mean that everyone would stop sinning. the only thing you have to do is deny yourself, pick up your cross and follow him.in translation, you must admit that you have sinned, turn away from it, and pick up the life as a believer and follower of christ, and follow him. everyone has sinned and fallen short of the glory of god, but we can ask god for forgiveness now. that is what is so beautiful!! afterwards, your life would be changed, but it is all up to you.

so basically, its an argument that is impenetrable to logic, because as long as i dont believe i cant possibly be right... its really amazing how your test for your religion allows it to pass when it so clearly fails.

i understand you fear a true death and so you choose to believe that a supernatural being fake died for you. that is all that awaits you. i have accepted this, and i have no fear of death, and i will strive to be the best i can be in regards to myself. occasionally i will try to liberate those who are controlled by centuries of tradition and foolishness, but it isnt so easy.

this is why christianity in general puts me off. FSMism forever

It is amazing to see how you try to say things that does not make any sense. The Holy Bible is not logic, it is God's Holy Word. Every time you have tried to test your logic against God's Word, you only come up with remarks that does not make any sense. If you have read the scripture above, you can clearly see that what God said was true. It is hard for you to understand, so you have to make up something just to make yourself have a point. By the way, Jesus Christ died for my sins. I am happy to say that I have an awesome God who is omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient, alpha, omega, beginning and end. I never have to worry because He is always there, and He will never forsake me. Why must you make something that is so easy difficult? As far as you saying that Christianity turns you "off" is not so clear. I understand that what I have been telling you has actually made you think, because the best way that you can defend yourself is by putting up websites that do not make any sense. Just think of it like this, men continue to change their logic everyday, while God's word remains the same (meaning what He said, not what men has done to it). Which do you believe?

What is your definition of true death? It is very interesting to hear you say that because I am not afraid of death. It is exactly how the Apostle Paul had stated in Acts, to die is to gain. I know that I have Christ in my heart, and I do not have to worry about death. That is why I do not focus on trying to "strive to do my best in regards to myself." That is a problem that you have to worry about, and I know that it sucks. In John 3:16, God said, "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son (Jesus Christ), that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." Amen!! In John 3:17, God said, "For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18) Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son."
I could go on and on, but I think you understand that I am not worried about death because I have Christ in my heart, and when I have him in my heart, I am happy knowing that I go to be with the Lord whenever He calls for me to be with him. I am sorry, Darkeegan, it seems like you are worried about death, since you mentioned it first.

Something i have found to be generally true about converted christians is this: before converting they were afraid. not just afraid of death, but afraid of all the things they couldn't understand. to me, forsaking science, truth, and logic in taking an easy escape is beyond absurd. religion is the antithesis of human experience, and those who devote their entire lives to the book are no better than harry potter fans who cant accept that wizards aren't real. just because it makes you happy doesn't mean it is right. there are some difficult things in life we all must face, and hiding behind a book does NOT make them go away.
