My mom bought the machine on the [protected] with a 10 years guarantee.

The Machine started not working early this year, when She press the start button then it stops working.

She logged the complaint with Mayville house and home on the [protected].

she was given the number for the mechanic to speak too.

which that it is also not professional, she must she interact with the third party, the consultant should be following it up on the behalf.

it has been 3 weeks already and no one has gotten back to her

I bought a bed in 2020 and before even the year ended the bed was in bad condition and I exchanged and now the bed is in bad condition and I have sent the photos to the store and the said they are waiting for the supplier for the exchange it has been 3 months now

House & Home South Africa Laptop return - no urgency at all

I have returned a laptop to the store on the 7th of march, to this date I am waiting for my refund, just called the CENTURION BRANCH and they mentioned since last week no one has payed cash to the store..

I will have to wait until one UNLUCKY customer purchases something from this terrible store to be refunded.

its shocking, one thing I am Learning from this experience is "NEVER to purchase anything from this store"

I have had better customer care from a stall on the street.

I bought a new 18 kg washing machine from house and home west gate. After 3 month the machine broke they have sent out a technician to fix it, after 3 months it happened again they then send out another technician to fix it. After 3 days ones again the same happened, I then told them I'm not happy with the machine they have to replace the machine for a new one. Since the 7th of January I'm still without a washing machine they had once again send out a technician to fix again that I was not happy with it being fixed again. Since 17th January I had no response from them, I phoned them 3 to 6 times a day. Please can assist me with getting my refund. I would never buy anything from house and home again, they are the worst place for assisting with a default product that I bought from them. Now I have to wait for the store to get a cash customer to get my refund because they don't have that much cash.

House & Home South Africa Customer service from manager Ellanor

bought a Samsung microwave on sale on the 13th of ctober 2021 and I was told that it was not available in store and that it was at the warehouse and it would be available in two weeks time

Two weeks later I got a call from the sales agent who sold me the microwave, apologising that they still didn't have it in store and I want at least give them another two weeks, I agreed then gave them another chance.

4 weeks later I went to the store to collect my microwave as promised, unfortunately the sales agent was off that day, so I spoke to the manager by the name of Ellanor, who seemed so uninterested in assisting me so I asked for my refund as it was a week before black Friday, so I thought I could use the money to another microwave on special else where.

The weekend past so does the black Friday weekend and I still hadn't received any call regarding my refund so I thought maybe they were able to get the microwave, as that was our arrangement that it's either I get the microwave or my refund before the black Friday.

Fast forward to today I call and the same Ellanor has forgotten about me and she is very rude she is saying that if I want my microwave I must wait for January or I can come collect my refund, and she refuses to speak to me directly, which I can see it's a race issue but I will let that go. She said to me it's not her fault, it's Samsung's. Which I don't know how because I purchased the product from House and Home

Now My issue is the service I got from House and Home representatives is absurd and very alarming that even today black people are being treated poorly even when we support big business 😭😭😭😭💔💔💔

House & Home South Africa Telefunken 40inch tv

I had purchased the tv today it was last 1 in stock and it was on display so there was no box they just wrapped it in plastic. When I got home and plugged in tv the screen was cracked. Returned to store immediately and they refused to do anything about it. Before tv was wrapped it was working. If the tv was in a box it would only be opened outside the store and if it was damaged they would replace it. The tv was wrapped in store with No one around I signed the paper work to say tv was fine while it was on the shelf I never saw it being wrapped and it was only wrapped in a plastic bag. When it was in my possession I handled it carefully and made sure it could not get damaged. And I when switching on and finding the problem returned to store immediately

House & Home South Africa Lounge suit

I bought a lounge suit at your office in Bloemfontein. It was delivered on Tuesday. I told the guys that its fine they dont have to help me because I was in a meeting and need to go back and they told me that its fine if I cannot do it I can just phone the office and they will send them. Tuesday after eork I tried can could not manage. I phone the office and asked for asdistance. Your office told me that I must pay for delivery cost or collect people at your store to assist me or I must wsit until one day there is a delivery in my area. Its now today the e Sept 2021 3 days that I have been waiting. I tried calling your office and waisted a lot of money. I have never received this bad bad customer serive in my life. Im really dissapointed. I want to cancelled the whole deal. I dont even know will you ever read this because its the sevond cpmplaint put in. My cell [protected]. Please call me.

House & Home South Africa Lounge suite

I have purchased couches which I noticed were of substandard. This were returned to the store, and a refund agreed upon with the Manager who I was told by Beauty, is the one that authorizes refunds. Unfortunately they insisted on the receipt, which I did not have at the time, around May.

I then brought the receipt and completed all the forms required for repayment, on the 4th of June.
Processing we were told would take around 7 to 21 days. It is now the 30th of June, and no refund from my account.
Enquiries were made today on the matter, and I am told, the repayment was processed on the 18th, this has not reflected as yet.

I am infuriated by House and Home Montana for this.

House & Home South Africa Restonic Queen Base Set

House and Home in Rustenburg is super useless! Have been struggling with a faulty mattress which the springs broke within less than 12 months. First they said I would get a refund as the bed has been discontinued, then they promised to replace it but not with the same make, with some cheaper make because that bed set was on sale and they cant replace it with the same value as the initial one. Been struggling now for more than 4 months to get the bed replacement. STILL NOTHING! Promises by various store personnel that the new (Not the Edblo make as initially promised but an Arabian Nights make that was supposed to be delivered last week already) phone calls and messages being ignored, went in store on Wednesday and was promised the bed would be delivered on Thursday, and still today nothing! No communication, no after service and NO HELP!
This is really unacceptable and I will MOST definitely NOT be doing business with THAT store EVER again.

House & Home South Africa Defy microwave faulty, refusal to refund

I bought a defy microwave from House &Home, Brits, northwest, on Monday 26 April and it didn't work. The following day I returned it and asked for a refund. They told me that the Defy technician had to assess the situation first. I don't care I still want a refund, I don't want a fixed product I want a new 1. On May 5th they call me to say my microwave is serviced and alright and I said but I don't want the microwave I want a refund and the person claims she knows nothing about that. These people want to trick me into taking a fixed product that will probably break again as soon as the warranty expires. Nonsense!

I have been having a problem with my defy tumble dryer n having the worst service from management at house n home in Centurion they refuse to refund me and also not willing to repair they waiting for response from defy but I did not buy from defy my deal was directly with house nhome so I should be refunded by then the worst come I ever dealt with

I bought couches from house and home brits mall. 3 months there after it started to pull loose and the frame gave in. After numerous complaints and store visits and no feedback or response I stopped paying this account. (seeing that we have an agreement from both sides and they did not keep to it I feel it's fair not to pay for this) I received a legal letter from the debt collectors. Once again we are already a week in with no response or even a call back. I have spoken to pieter from the brits branch twice, him promising to phone back regarding this issue and what a surprise... He forgot how to phone someone as this is the only conclusion I can come to... I spoke to the complaints department. They also promised to phone back... Absolutely nothing. Spoke to rainbow finance. According to them no complaint was added to their notes... They promised to phone me back also nothing. We are already a week in with no solution to this... This issue started 3 years ago. I have spoken to over 10 people working for this company and not one being able to resolve a simple issue. It's pathetic that you pride yourself on this bad service.

Desired outcome: a write off on the amount due.

I bought a cinema reclyner for myself for my birthday last year October, CASH. The salespeople were not friendly or helpful. On the day of delivery 13 October 2020 i took pictures and wrote on the delivery note that the couch was faulty. Nobody contacted me ever. After visiting the store in Rustenburg in February 2021 to enquire what is happening the couch was fetched 28 February for repairs. Precious at the store confirmed with me it would be delivered yesterday 11h30 but untill now no delivery or phone call or nothing. I explained to her that I was working yesterday and would have to take time off to be home and that is why I confirmed twice that it would be delivered. Nothing yet. Then last night 17h15 they just arrived at my house without contacting me and making arrangements. (my neighbour informed me this morning they were there)Sorry yesterday was Monday and Sunday was when I expected the delivery but it never happened.
So 16 March the couch was delivered back to me exactly as it was before. I have pictures to prove it. I have requested a new couch and hope that Belinda from Rustenburg will keep her promise to deliver a new one within 7 days. I am very very dissapointed and do not recommend this store or House & Home in general.

House & Home South Africa Poor purchase experience - black friday

Black Friday specials started on the Monday 23rd November 2020, We placed an order online on the 23rd at 9:26am and paid immediately

They called my fiancée to confirm that they getting the stock from the warehouse and will let us know once it's at the N1 City Store

To this date no one contacted us back,

Today 11th December was the first time I got hold of the call center, The guy told me that when the stock got to the store it was sold to another customer.

On Friday 27th November I contacted House and Home N1 City, I managed to speak to Mustafah at Washing machine section - regarding " Black Friday sale for hisense 8kg top loader that will be priced for R2999. The item was not showing on their online store, yet it was advertised in their catalogue. Mustafah assured me that even though the item was not showing online they had more than enough stock at their stores as more of the same items were to arrive soon. He said that there was no need for him to keep one aside for me as he was confident that I will definitely get one.

Anyway my Sister, Carmelita Sampson went to store on Saturday and was assisted by MA Bartlett who advised that they did not have any stock left. My sister informed her of the entire situation and conversation that occurred between myself and Mustafah, her response was that they waiting on the suppliers. My sister however made payment to house and Home and was advised that she will e informed of when stock will arrive. Today is Thursday 03 December - no one contacted her, instead Carmelita contacted House and Home N1 City and apparently MA Bartlett was not in office. Again she was advised that they waiting on stock but couldn`t advise when it will arrive, No extra mile was taken, there was no urgency in attending to our request or any interest really. I would have thought that people will be working extra hard due to Covid-especially where Sales are concerned as we should consider ourselves extremely lucky to still be having Jobs. My other pint is - Could house and home have advertised this item, just to get customers flocking to their store? They never really had any stock and clients will then change their mind and purchase the more expensive Defy Toploader? Many questions come to mind, so I am hoping that I get some assistance with regards to my request to get the toploader I initially wanted as our washing is piling up due to House and Home falsely advertising stock that was never available. If they don`t get what I ordered - I suggest that they give me the Defy Toploader, 8 kg currently priced at R3699 for R2999 as they did not deliver on what was promised.

My mother laybuy good house and home she fully paid the furniture but when she came to collect, it was out of stock. She chose a second furniture but they have dilivered the furniture. They promised to deliver on the 19 th of December it's been 3 days now. The furniture has not been delivered. No one has contacted us to tell us what happened

On 12/09/2019 we purchased the following alliances at House and Home Cape Gate:

Defy 350lt met fridge
Defy 13plc dishwasher 
Kic 207lt chest freezer

We paid cash for the transaction to the amount of R11566, 99. Invoice number 146603 account no [protected]

The chest freezer that was delivred was so badly damaged that the lid did not close. Only a week after I complained again and again the chet freezer was replaced. On 07/11/2019 KIC came and repaired the lid of the replaced chest freezer as the lid did not seal again.

I was promised by both KIC and House and Home Cape Gate to have the chest freezer replaced as it was a manufacturing problem. The store promises to refund me and replace the chest freezer. I contacted the store and the customer service but up to today 8/03/2020 they have not responded to the complaint. We are still without a chest freezer and all my food spoiled in the chest freezer becase the lid does not close proper.

I'm very disappointed with da treatment that the manager gave us on Saturday regarding buying a fan, the manager he's very rude, racist and mean, we have a video where he wnted 2hit one of d staff members who wer assisting us, da fan we wnted 2buy was on display and it was not written dat it's sold out, so a lady came with a bad attitude telling us it's her fan and we r not going2buy it, we were already paying 4it but da manager said it belongs to the white lady cause she booked it, which it was not fair we wer paying and she just booked because she's white, we wer treated like trash, we have a video and we gonna put it on social media to expose him, that manager has no manners

House & Home South Africa customer care & service delivery

Good day, I would like to lay a complaint about house & home greenacres port elizabeth, south africa.

On the 28th september we have bought a bed from them and a lady by the name jill helped with the sale. when we asked her when we will receive the bed she said monday. comes monday the bed is not delivered, no call, no feedback from them as to why and we had to call them at the shop to get feedback of "there is no stock on this bed". thereafter they promised that on friday the 6th they will deliver as their stock will come on thursday the 4th.

On friday the 5th oct still we did not get our bed, we then drove to the branch and the lady who helped us was on sick leave, we received another lady who said they were sorry for the inconvenience. she then went to find information about this bed and told us that the supplier says on thursday next week they will be making the delivery and house & home will do our bed delivery on friday the 12th oct. we told her that we do not mind the wait till then, and we would like the assurance that the wait till next week friday is a sure thing. she assured us that the supplier has given them the word.

On friday the 12th oct in the morning we call the branch we got the sales lady jill, and she said she is watching the screen as the supplier deliveries are coming in that morning to the warehouse. at that point I was confused, because last week they said thursday the warehouse deliveries are made and friday they will deliver. but in any case I asked her when she will give me feedback, and she said by 13:00hrs she will call.

At 13:05 we called jill and she went and spoke to someone else behind her querying about the bed and delivery, she came back to us and said there is stock and the warehouse will deliver either today or monday. we then pleaded with her that we do not want monday give the warehouse word that this needs to be delivered today and also told her if not delivered by 16:00hrs we would come to the branch for our money.

At 16:22 we got to the branch and asked for the sales manager (very bad service we received from him as well). we explained our grievances and he went to check for this bed info and came back to us and said there is no stock and they have not received deliveries from supplier the past two weeks. mind you this bed is still on display for more customers to buy!

At this point we called jill to explain what was happening and why we received false information. this turned out bad because she does not remember well what she has promised or said accurately on the call. we then asked the manager what is to be done now, because we need our bed, he advised that we can wait for next week when the stock gets delivered or get a refund. we then told him there is no way we are waiting for another week being assured with no certainty of delivery.

He went to check on if they have cash to refund us and came back to say we need the slip to get the cash and we gave gave him the delivery receipt they gave us upon purchase of the bed. he said he needs the receipt given to us which was a till slip not the delivery one, we then told him that this is the only paper received and no other receipts received. he told us to go make an affidavit saying "we have lost the receipt of purchase". we asked him how is it so easy for us to be doing the run around while we are not at fault while the shop has not delivered on their promises. and we asked him do they not keep copies as we know most retailers do, he said this was kept in the archive. I then asked him to go and get the archives and get the receipts because we know the date and time this was made. he told us that this is not possible to do.

This is where we then also told them we cannot lie to the commissioner of oath and say we lost something that we were not given in the first same place. he worked away from us and left us with jill sales lady, with no work as to where and what he is going to do. we waited a while and asked jill what was happening and she said he is not coming back. we asked jill to go get him and also ask if we write the following on the receipt will it be sufficient for them to give us our money back "h&h did not give us the receipt and has asked us to make an affidavit to say we have lost it and this is to put it down that we did not receive it, they are also unable to look into their archives to get the copy thus the affidavit to get our refund." she came back to us and said this is not enough even the bank transactions we showed her are not enough. we then also worked away and went home.

We are now sitting with two problems, no bed (do not know when it will be delivered, and if it will be delivered), second problem we have no receipt to get refund other than the delivery customer invoice (unless if we lie under oath and say we lost the receipt).

I bought a tv on 2013 in House & home potchefstroom and in 2016 I returned the tv because it's heated by lightning the told me the tv it was out of guaranteed and I told the lady I'll pay the cost she said fine I'm going to book it in 4 repairs I said fine and gave me some papers of repairs which I did sign and pay and lady never call me back tell my tv is back or not and i gave up because she was take to long 4 my tv I decided to buy another tv and that tv as well it was out of guaranteed I told the manager ill pay 4 it R300 and I seen well a return the 1st tv I demand my tv back the manager said she going to investigate she will gave me a call me back with a bad customer service I asked the lady y a u rude to me she I'll investigate and 1 of stuff members she said no Elias the reason your tv is not available is previous employees were doing frued and steeling in store it mine happens your tv is stolen as well I asked the floor and controller manager to go to stockroom to check I didn't c my tv...I demand my tv back or give a new tv because if your previous floor manager call me back and never did and she was only person signed that returned documents all I want it's my tv even though is not fixed I want it or new tv and in future hire management or stuff that knows y they are here for I work with customers as well or trained them my name Elias papase letsapa email:[protected]@gmail.com cell:[protected] work:[protected]

House & Home South Africa zero gas stove

Bought a gas stove s/steel and waited almost 2 weeks for it after being told 2 - 3 days because I paid cash. I logged a complaint as I had to make several calls to the store before the delivered which they did free of charge (courtesy) on receipt of the unit it was not what I ordered and had to go back to the store to complain again and the shop assistant Malibongwe told me after going back and forth the his Manager who did not even have the decency to apologise as it was a package error just told him to tell me they will try and get a stainless steel one from another store and call me. A week went by and I had to make another call by this time I told them to collect the wrong unit and give my money back. I was told to come to the store and speak to the Manager Moray who told me I cannot get my money until the collect the stove which they eventually did but I still did not get my money. I guess I need to back to the store. VERY BAD SERVICE

House & Home South Africa bad service and unhelpful employees

I went to the House and Home store in Roodepoort on Saturday 12 December 2015, I brought a bed and paid cash for it. I informed the sales consultant Lerato that I am moving from my house on Tuesday 15 December 2015 at 11am, she told me that my bed will be deviled on Tuesday morning. The bed has still not bee deviled so i called the store and now i am been told that the bed can only be deviled on Wednesday. I have a very big problem with this as I will not be living my old house. I need my bed i have paid for it in full.
