I have a 18MTH old top of the range hotpoint washing machine £700, I am absolutely appalled that this machine has completely shut down after just a short time. The repair guy came out without the parts to fix it which again I find incredible especially when they asked me on the phone the model of the machine and what the problem was, what kind of workman goes out to repair a job without the parts. I called the complaints department which actually didn't do anything. Once again I am disgusted with not only the machine but also the service. I will never buy hotpoint again.

i brought a Hotpoint washer dryer from Argos about 6month ago .didn't have along before i had to get them out, because when i put my dark's in they are coming out with all fluff all over my clothes.an engineer been out with the same problem at least 4times .they told me that i have to do a rinse cycle before i do my wash, I have done this but it is still the same .I don't expect to do this on a new washer.they told me there is no mechanical fault. I contacted them about two weeks ago, and to date I had no reply. I find this very unreasonable behaviour for such a big company that have big promises.I hope you can help me to solve this problem has soon has possible thanks.

Purchased a new Hotpoint side/side refrigerator. Had one repair less than 4 years, the second repair well over $500.00, but tech suggested I got a lemon. GE offered $100.00 voucher or wait 7-10 days and get pay $670.00 for a new fridge. I will never purchase another GE product. My family and friends have had problems with these made in Mexico products. We thought we were buying American made. Customer service is rude.Stand by your product and pro rate it. Average fridge last 12-15 yrs--put your money where your mouth is-send me a check for $500.00, make it right!

I have a Hotpoint Aquarius WDD740 that is less than 3 months old. It does not wash properly and the washing powder drawer leaks. 3 times I reported it to them and requested an afternoon visit. 3 times they have sent an engineer in the morning. The engineer that visited this morning was appalling and rude. I am sick of calling their helpline waiting for 20+ minutes at a time. I am writing to head office demanding a refund as the product and their service is not fit for purpose. If not I will just return the appliance to them (preferably thrown through their window) and buy an appliance that actually works. I am thoroughly disgusted.

The service I am getting from Hotpoint is appalling. My fridge freezer broke down and so far I have had two visits from the engineer, currently waiting for a third and have waited 13 days and it's still not working. Their service centre is run by computer and the staff are unable to address your particular circumstances, are unable to respond to an emergency, are unable to communicate with the engineer, and couldn't care less. All you will get from them is a booking date from the computer. That's it. For this reason, I will never buy another Hotpoint.

I bought a top of the range hotpoint washing machine and after 7 months it stopped working while cutting out my electric and flooding my kitchen! I phoned them and they sent an engineer out to repair it after he left an my second load of washing it broke again, the same problem. To cut a long story short this happened several times and hotpoint refused to replace the machine. After telling me they were going to fit a new drum the engineer arrived but the parts broke as he tried to get it out, by this time i had been without a washing machine for 3 weeks and are a family of 4. There is only so much hand washing you can do!
I had to wait for the parts as they were out of stock. when the man was due to come and repair it he phoned me and said they had sent wrong part and also one missing. This time hotpoint agreed to replace the product. After phone call after phone call and official complaint letters i was offered a refund as this would be quicker than replacing the machine (which i jumped at) they said that they would collect and refund me that week...what a surprise! no phone call. After more numerous phone calls and being told there was nothing they could do i have got to wait another week for collection and only then will they refund me for the pile of s..t that they sold me. I am still without a washing machine and i am in my 5th week! still waiting for my money back. They should change their name from Hotpoint to DISSAPOINT! Never by a hotpoint. I feel like i have had a meltdown with this useless company.

2years ago i purchased a cooker from hotpoint, after one year the oven door had blistering as i had taken a 5year extened insurance cover i called hot point they sent an engineer who replaced the door, this year the oven door blistered again i contacted hotpoint again, the same enginer came out this time he said it wasnt worth replacing and that i would have a replacement cooker, i was pleased till it came on unpacking it ifound it to be a cheeper model there was no clock the grill and oven doors edges were very sharp on the corners my grandchildren could cut themselves the grillpan was stiff to use.as i was not happy i put it in writting to hotpoint at witch they sent an engineer (the same one) he said in his own words that he would never buy a cooker like that and told me to write again so i did i have not heard anything back and thi has been going on since november, i am still useing my old cooker the new one is in my utility room.so come on hotpoint wakeup firms like this are the ones that will go bust in the future

If you feel like you're quite fed up with your happy life,
get this product and try some customer service.

You will experience extreme madness.
I've been struggling through the miserable time dealing with
rude and offensive engineer, call center only justifying themselves saying it's not their responsibility,
hard to findout the right person to complain, call center always having unusual number of calls,
changing reservation on their own will and so on... Only wasting my money for calling 0844...

I always feel frustrated and depressed whenever I contact this company.
So, as mentioned, whoever wants to feel the hell,
off you go!

Don't even bother to call Hotpoint Service as they are a complete shower of [censored]e! I have a Hotpoint washing machine that their engineers have been out 5 times to repair. They expect you to keep having time off work to wait in for the engineers and refuse to come out on a Saturday even though their website states they will arrange an appointment at "any time".
I will never buy a Hotpoint machine ever again, and urge everyone to seek the reviews online before considering buying this inferior tat.

@Peter Lee - I agree we have a 5 year parts guarantee also. I phoned them up as this is the 2nd time the gasket seal on the freezer is faulting.. Parts are free but to send out an engineer £150. The first time the seal broke was within the 1st year's guarantee so all was free & it only took 10 minutes to fit but now two years later it is broke again. Since Indesit bought & took over hotpoint the whole brand is worthless. Fridge freezer is coming up to 5 years which I paid £300. When they first delivered, it all came smashed up inside the box so had to re arranged a new delivery.. both fridge & freezer compartment drawers break easily and their is now rust. Will probably have to buy up a new appliance.. 5 years is now the new expected life-span of most electricals due to cheap parts & planned obsolescence. No wonder so much landfill waste.

Why does the pamplet say to turn the screws on the 'Oven Knob' if the Oven is too hot or not hot enough? And then my answer is not to turn the screws and try to adjust them! Whatever, after 50 minutes when the oven 'knob' is reset it never hits the range it's supposed to be at!
Oh yeah, after 2 1/2 days of fiddling with this Range (oven) I'm fed up! I've had it for only 2 1/2 days what is wrong with this picture, are they made in China?

Engineer came out on 17 January to look at our washer. Said it needed a new drum. Said new parts would be ordered right away and that we would get a confirmation call within 48 hours to confirm the next booking. Two days go by, no phone call. Called the morning of the 3rd day, Hotpoint has -no record- of the parts being ordered. Am assured by the person on the phone that they'll put the order through and someone will call me that day to confirm. No phone call comes.

I call back the next day - the same conversation, literally word-for-word, with, once again, assurances that someone will get in touch with me to let me know what the heck is going on. No phone call comes (are you noticing a pattern here?) This goes on, at least twice a day, for over a week. Finally, after 11 days, I get a phone call: they *still* hadn't ordered the parts, which won't arrive for another week. They refuse to offer any refund on the service plan I'm on, simply say that's all they can do, sorry.

How an order like this can be so screwed up when the customer has been calling (and spending 10 minutes on hold each time) at least twice a day for over two weeks is beyond belief. I wouldn't hire these guys to clean my toilets unless they were doing it with their tongues.

Problem with your dimensions for built in ovens (double). All information from you and other distributers say that width of housing cabinate should be 597 mm. This is wrong and anyone looking at this will say that it will not fit my kitchin housing, you have lost a sale. Please look at comet etc. dont blame they they get their information from you.

No doubt a completely justified complaint. I purchased a Hotpoint frost-free under-counter freezer in January last year. It cost almost £300. I could have got something cheaper but, naively, thought I was purchasing something good! I was offered an extended warranty, for a further £90, but declined. A decent freezer, that has few moving parts and isn't moved about or rewquired to do any hard work, should last longer than just a few years.
A month after the 1-year guarantee expired, so did the freezer. Hotpoint wanted almost £100 just to come to my door. I wrote to their Head Office at Peterborough, complaining, and eventually they agreed to come and fix it, parts included, for a "nominal" sum of £75. Well, I don't call £75 nominal. No local engineer was willing to try to repair it. I have now bought a new freezer, a different make, highly recommended by my local supplier and it cost less than £200 - that's £100 less than the Hotpoint.
Hotpoint are an appalling firm. (They are Indesit too, so be warned.) They make rubbish products. Their customer service is zilch. I will endeqavour to ensure that no one I know ever, ever buys a Hotpoint or Indesit product. bThey deserve to go out of business, and the sooner the better. They are rip-off merchants.
