To whom so ever it may concern,
I, Naveen Giria travelling on Air Asia flight I5 1825 from Chandigarh to Banglore on 2nd August 2015, seat I4D.
Running out of hot meals & sandwiches seems to be a regular feature of Air Asia. Extremely bad planning from a Tata Group venture is shocking to say the least. Must say some extremely unfit personell are handling the catering department. Least expected from a group that I highly admire.
Can you imagine that hot meals & sandwiches run out @ the 8th row. Only things left in the cart for the rest of the flight are chips, munchies & juices.
On a three hour flight from Chandigarh to Bangalore the takes off @ 12:15 pm & lands @ 3:15 pm, it belies common sense that will not everyone consume a hot meal for lunch.
This is the third time Iam experiencing this on AIR ASIA. The polite answer from the crew everytime is that, Please pre book your meal on Air Asia. If pre booking is a condition to book the hot meal then why have you dedicted 10 glossy pages on hot meals in your inflight menu. JRD Tata preferred meal is never available on any Air Asia flight. Is it only for info or also for sale??
Iam the Director of the GIRIAS group, that is involved in the retailing of white goods consumer durables across South India. Being into retail myself, I call this a case if very poor planning by extremely incompetent personell. 75% of the flight was left wating for hot meals. Imagine the loss of revenue to you guys.
From an admirer, well wisher & frequent traveller of Air Asia
