VIP TRAVEL: DO NOT ATTEND ONE OF THE SEMINARS, YOU WILL BE SORRY. I am one of the thousands I am sure that has been scammed by VIP Travel. Just like everyone else I have read about in these complaints I too attended a seminar and was promised this free trip and free gas vouchers, I knew it was too good to be true but stupidly they had all the staff etc so I thought it must be legit. As like everyone else I paid a $100 deposit. After no dates ever being available I got fed up and demanded my $100 deposit back. Huh good luck because when you call the number you will reach a mailbox which says FULL so you can't even leave a message. Surely someone can report this to that program 'what's bugging you' where they can actually send someone to the premises in Arlington to get to the route of this problem or do a write up in the newspaper. It so unfair that they are able to take peoples money and get away with it, someone PLEASE HELP STOP THESE PEOPLE. If anyone can help has any ideas or has ever got their $100 back then please let me know. It just makes my blood pressure boil but then perhaps people would say to us that we were the fools and that perhaps we should have know better, I'll tell you what, there will be NO NEXT TIME FOR ME!

I PURCHASED A TRAVEL MEMBERSHIP BY PAYING $3600 WITH HORIZON TRAVEL, 2229 AVE J, SUITE #105, ARLINGTON, TEXAS 76006, IN MAY 2005. TEL # [protected] AND [protected]
I had Purchased this when I was a resident in Austin Texas. I had moved out of the state to a NE state in 2006 .I tried calling this company several times after moving out of Texas for Purchasing International Air ticket at member price. It looked like their Telephone is removed from services, and the company did not bother to inform the members about their companies lack of survival.
The reason for Purchasing a membership with this defunct company was because they gave an intriguing presentation about
how members can purchase Air tickets/Holiday packages at member rate which will be very competitive because of their
volume buying...Now it all comes to, if I believed in deceitful presentation, and How come the company got out without
any responsibility for the membership fees which they had collected from several sales presentation attendees...What can we expect from the States Attorney generals office regarding my grievance...

We have just signed up for RCI Points ...only they call it by another name . But the "free stuff " is suppose to come from VIP Travel .

What about the Calif Travel Sellers Restitution Fund
if you bought in Calif ...and what about Florida Travel Sellers Law ...

Has anyone tried either ...

What about denying the charge on yyour Visa ...due to excercising cancellation under 30 days .

Feedback Welcome ...please identify as "Scammed by VIP" so my filter wont get you .

Thanks

Donna

Have there been any successful suits against VIP as of date?

I just wanted to let everyone know that I also signed up for the "too good to be true" VIP travel plan, due to a letter I received in the mail asking me to go to a Holiday Inn Express. However, due to the 72 hour cooling off rule that most states provide, I was able to cancel my membership. It took a while, but I did receive a check in the mail refunding the entire amount from VIP travel. So wanted to let you know to not lose hope and that if you do not feel comfortable with your decision to go with VIP travel, do you do have an opportunity to get a refund. Just make sure you act fast and when you do sign their documents, that you send them back via certified mail.

Thanks for your posts - I just saved wasting a night on non-legit stuff and stay home with my family. It did seem so good to be true - but i just want to go back to visit friends and save money on the travel - I knew it was too good to be true.

Thanks for keeping people from making the same mistakes. I am suppose to be there right now.

Thank you all for your comments on VIP Travel. You just saved me from what obviously would be a nightmare. Like an idiot, I called VIP Travel in response to a notice in the mail that I had been "awarded" an 8 day/7 night cruise. I was told that all I had to do was attend a seminar here in Gainesville, FL for a presentation and I would get the tickets. No purchase necessary. Afterwards, I did not feel right about it. So I went on line and found this complaints board. Praise God! So I called back and canceled my reservation. Thank you all so much.

I had the same experience as those mentioned on this board, that VIP Travel does not come through on their promises and they won't refund your membership fees even though they do not provide you any service.

I have a lawsuit pending in general sessions court on March 3rd and need your help. Please email me your name, address, phone, and email along with your experience and I will present this along with my experience at that time, dmyers@chartertn.net

I already have 10 stories like mine documented. We should join together in a "class action" lawsuit and bring VIP Travel to justice.

VIP TRAVEL IS COMPLETE FRAUD. THE PHYSICAL LOCATION IN SOUTH CAROLINA DOES NOT EXIST, NON OF WEBSITES LISTED IN THEIR CERTIFICATES WORK, THE PHONE NUMBER PROVIDED IN THOSE CERTIFICATES CONVENIENTLY REFER YOU TO NONEXISTENT WEBSITES TO FINISH THE FRAUDULENT CIRCLE.
THOSE OBNOXIOUS PEOPLE HAVE TO BE STOPPED; THEY RUTHLESSLY RIP OFF INNOCENT AMERICANS THROUGHOUT THE COUNTRY.
IF YOU RECEIVE POSTCARD INVITATION TO ONE OF THEIR SCAM PERFORMANCE YOU HAVE IMMEDIATELY CALL TO POLICE AND HAVE THEM ARRESTED. THERE ARE A LOT OF EVIDENCES IN COMPLAINT BOARD TO DO SO.

The same happened to me but with Grand Incentives / Grand gateways company. The are fraud and scammers.
I suggest each angry one to post as many complaints on the web as you can. I noticed that they hired company who tries to clean up negative reviews for them.
LET OTHERS KNOW, AND COMPLAIN TO YOUR DEP OF AGRICULTURE AND ATTORNEY GENERAL. MAYBE IT HELPS TO STOP COMPANIES LIKE THAT FROM OFFICIALLY RIP PEOPLE OFF.

February 2, 2006 Travel Horizon gave me an "incentive registration coupon" which I was instructed to fill out and mail in with $100.00 and dates I could travel and I would get a promotional vacation which I did in good faith. Several times I got back a notice that the dates were not available, and then I would mail back new dates. Again I was told that the dates were not available; all the time being given the option for a full refund. So I wrote back for the refund. I have since sent one non-certified letter and three certified letters and still no money. They don't answer the phone or answer letters. They are scamming. They are stealing everyone’s money.

I made no purchases, but I did send in my gas coupons. I never received a dime. I was invited to a second seminar, but I did not attend.

In June 2006, I attended a presentation by Horizon Travel. I signed a contract with Horizon Travel/TCI and paid a purchase price of $1600 and fees/dues of $570.

In December 2006, I was invited by Horizon to another presentation. Because I attended, I was given a scratch and win card. I supposedly won a Florida/Bahama vacation for 2. In accordance with their instructions, I sent a voucher and $20, along with 3 potential dates for this vacation to VIP Travel Incentives. I haven't heard anything back from them and the potential dates have all passed.

I would also strongly urge everyone not to give these companies any business!

If there is a chance to recoup any of our monies, I would also consider joining forces in a class action law suit.

I purchased a travel package from TCI in St Thomas while on a cruise. I paid $2000 for the package which included all these certificates for free travel through, guess who, VIP Travel Incentives. We figured all that stuff alone was well worth the two grand we put out. 2 for 1 cruise, 7 night resort stay, 1 week all inclusive stay, $2000 in land, air and sea credits...etc. Well, even last year when I purchased I was smart and checked them out and saw that VIP had a crap BBB rating and told the TCI people I bought my package with that I wanted nothing to do with them and that I wanted my money back if the free travel wasn't coming direct from TCI. So, to appease me they put it in my contract and I also talked to corporate that they would stand behind these certificates if anything went wrong. I'd already called VIP and experienced the busy signal and full mailbox. TCI corporate said they were aware of the problem and that VIP was adding additional staff. Like an idiot I took their word for it, and here I am actually trying to use these things this year and I get the same problem with the busy signal day and night. Of course the people I dealt with in St Thomas are gone too, and I just sent in my $200 annual renewal fee for the club (that check cleared so fast it made my head spin!). I guarantee you I will be the worst nightmare for TCI and will somehow get results. I went round after round with them last year and I'll do it again because I'm so angry with myself for being so stupid for getting taken on this in the first place since I have NEVER been the type to purchase things like this... EVER! I am livid to say the least and want to take these people to the mat!

HORIZON TRAVEL / VIP TRAVELINCENTIVES AT 7272 East Broadway #264 Tucson,AZ 85710 Phone # Was [protected] FRAUD/SCAM & AWARDS VERIFICATION Center at 2400 W. Pioneer PWKY Suit 210 Arlington, TX 76013.OR Awards Verification Center "Records Division"2400W. Pioneer PWKY #210 Arlington,TX

Beware of these free trips after hearing a 90 minute speech for a time shear. Then a promise of a free trip and gas in the amount of $40. You will be lucky to receive any money back from the gas. Due to the fact it is in the amount of $10 each and is on a time frame.

The trip you half to give them $100.00 up front and after your trip you are to get the money back. Then try to just reach VIP Travel Incentives on a phone that was always full of messages. Then they changed the number for another scam. The awards center that sent you to them tells you that it is a separate company from them.

Please beware not to let them get you. If anyone else have been taken by them email me at swhite6293@hotmail.com and maybe we can sue.
