Hope Floral & Gifts / Irresponsible company
I placed an order online on June 18, 2008 at 4:20am via Teleflora. It was a floral arrangement for my mother, to be delivered on her birthday, June 19, 2008. My mother received a call around 2:00pm on June 19 from Hope Floral, asking if she or someone else could come into town to pick up her floral arrangement. They told her that she lived too far out of town. Not only is my mother only 12 miles away from town, but this same company delivered to her on Mother's Day just last month. The person remembered my mother because she said "Were you the one whose husband was outside working in the yard?" My mother said yes and the person told her it wouldn't be a problem, that she lived close by and she would drop off the arrangement on her way home. By 9:15pm, not only had the lady not come by, she hadn't called my mother to say she wouldn't be coming after all. I called the owner of the shop that same night and explained the whole situation. Her answer was that she left the shop early, but that she was aware of her employee calling my mother to ask if she could pick up her flowers, and she was aware that her employee was supposed to take the arrangement to her. But she could not offer an explanation. Her only response was "I will make sure they're delivered tomorrow." Not once did she apologize. She just offered another false promise that she would make sure they're delivered the next day. Because the next day wasn't my mother's birthday, and since the entire element of surprise was ruined, I in turn just requested a refund. I'm upset that I wasted my time and money on such an irresponsible company. Caldwell is a very small town so I know that she can't blame it on being busy.
