Honda Motor engine oil over consumption and safety issue

The car had pulled over by the road side for 3 times while I was driving, it jerks for a few times before total stopage, riskings my life of road accidents.

The car had been towed to Honda service center, and it had been acknowledged by Honda that the enengine needs to be overhauled.

I had files a few complaints, and I am not happy with the feedback provided.

This is a quality and manufacturing issues caused by Honda, and therefore Honda is to pay for all costs needed to fix your quality issue, including costs for wear and tear items!

Please be responsible, the owner should not be held responsible to pay a single cent.

Honda Motor service and spare parts

I have Honda Accord 2011. V4
There is oil leak from steering box I went to Honda service to fix it. They said it will cost 4900QR I said ok start but when I received my car they said steering bump and steering gearbox not available but we stop the leak after a day test my car still there is leak and still waiting spare parts.
Service is bad here in Qatar.
Also I asked service department you sure leak stop they said yes stop but if you check under the car maybe you will see little leak not too much but they lied still too much and every time I start engine and stop I find leak and I attach photo.
Please I need your help to contact them because after I paid money the don't care for my problem.

Honda Motor service and quality of 2014 honda accord

To: Honda Customer Service and Executive Branch.

I am writing this letter to express my disappointment with the decreasing quality of Honda cars and poor customer service at the dealer level! I have been a loyal customer to Honda for over 40 years and records will indicate how many new Honda purchases I have made for myself, my business and my family. However, I have had numerous and continuous issues with the new Honda Accord EX I purchased 12/23/13. FYI I purchased the costly extended warrantee for maintenance.
I purchased the Honda Accord and had car serviced at Jeff Wyler Honda located in Florence, KY. I brought my car in within my warrantee period to diagnose an annoying roaring noise the car was making. The supervisor stated it is probably causes by warped rotors therefore he had the mechanic turn the rotors. The noise persisted and I brought it back and then I was told the tires are probably feathered and that it was not covered under warrantee. I found this to be disappointing since the car had such low miles. Nevertheless, during a business trip to Michigan the roar became so loud that I thought I was dragging a tree under the car. I pulled over in a car servicing garage and he told me I had a factory defect rear wheel bearing that needed to be replaced or it could lead to other problems. Keep in mind I reported this noise to the Dealer while under warrantee twice and they misdiagnosed. I had the garage replace the wheel bearing immediately so I could meet my business engagements on time and to catch my flight. The car no longer made a roaring sound but the ABS warning lights were still illuminated. The mechanic told me they should go out by themselves after a few miles. The lights were still on when I returned home so I brought it to the dealership for a reset. I was told the same bearing that was bad and replaced was also bad because the sensors were bad so I had them replace the bearing for $330.00. Money I could have if probably diagnosed the first time I brought it in. To add fuel to fire, the mechanic told me my battery needed replaced because it did not generate adequate cranking amps. I declined the service and I stopped in Auto Zone auto parts store and they tested the battery and stated it has plenty of cranking amps. I felt uneasy about bringing my car to the dealer because I was getting the feeling they were gouging their customers. So far I have spent over $500.00 in parts and labor that should have been fixed while under warrantee.
It does not end there! My Accord was recalled for a faulty battery sensor. I brought the car in and they conducted a temporary fix because the dealer had not received the replacement parts as of yet and that they would call me when the part came in. After months of waiting I gave the dealer a call and they told me the part had been in for a long time and they did not notify me because of an oversight. No problem, I brought the car in for defective sensor. After installing new switch, mechanic informs me that my starter is shot. A factory defect switch turned into an $837.15 repair cost for a new starter. I hope by now you can see that a trend is developing. There is no question in my mind that the expert mechanics and supervisors intentionally delay fixing problems until the warrantee expires.

I estimate I purchased at least 10 Hondas and sold my family members on the reliability and quality of Honda vehicles to the point they all purchased one. I am strongly considering transferring my business to Toyota. The poor service I have received with this vehicle reflects on the drop of quality standards Honda has adopted, perhaps for sales competition reasons. Honda was always known to sell reliable and quality vehicles. I am on target to trade my Accord in within the next 12 months. I am not looking for compensation but for an apology and hope that I can expect old fashion Honda quality at my trade in time. If this letter falls on deaf ears, I will no doubt transfer my loyalty to another car company and let my experience be known on Social Media.

Honda Motor honda insight hybrid 2011 - cvt auto transmission chain belt snapped

Honda Dealer: Angkasa Motor Sdn Bhd (Honda Malaysia)
Date Incident: 10 Jan 2014
Damage: CVT Auto Transmission
How: Driving through building ramp at 5 - 20 km per hour to the building parking.
Mileage: 96, 000 km
Age of Car: 2 years +++
Warranty: 3 years or 100, 000 km whichever comes first

ISSUE: HONDA REFUSED TO HONOR ITS WARRANTY
REASON: I did not send the car to Honda Authorised Service Dealer for Preventive Maintenance Services as per Preventive Maintenance Service Booklet. Honda void all warranty.

MY CONTENTION:
1. In the Honda Insight Hybrid manual, it allows owner to service the car with the qualified service person or facility and it would not void the warranty.
2. Preventive Maintenance Service Booklet is a service schedule to which owner agree to send its car to Honda Authorised Service Dealer. This is an agreement between car owner and Honda and both parties must sign in the booklet. In my case, neither me nor Honda sign the booklet.
3. Yes, I did my engine services with other qualified service facility. While CVT Auto Transmission services were performed by Honda Authorised Service Dealer. Thereafter the following 3 services were performed by Honda Authorised Service Dealer. Honda Service Dealer has the opportunity to check the engine and CVT but CVT auto transmission broke down.
4. Honda may void engine warranty but NOT the CVT Auto Transmission because both are 2 different components. Void of all warranty contravene its clause in the booklet because this car was not used for racing or commercial motive or change any parts and etc.
5. The engine is fine.

Conclusion:
a) Void the warranty by Honda is illegal and contravene its clause as stated in the Honda Manual and Preventive Maintenance Services Booklet.
b) As there are no agreement signed between me and Honda, therefore, Honda contention based on Preventive Maintenance Service Agreement is baseless.
c) Since the Honda Manual allows to service with any qualified service facility and no effect in its warranty, in what way Honda has the right to deny its warranty.
d) CVT Auto Transmission services and change of CVT Oil were performed by Honda Service Dealer and Honda should take the responsibility and honor its warranty.

It has gone to legal battle however the facts remains Honda CVT Auto Transmission is of poor quality. Look at the pictures

CVT Services: Every 40, 000km as recommended
1st CVT Service: 40, 000km
2nd CVT Service: 79, 000km

Issue: Honda refused to honor its warranty
Reason for refusal: Preventive Maintenance Services was not sent to Honda Authorised Service Dealer

Admission: Yes, I did not send my car to Honda Service Dealer for engine preventive maintenance but for CVT Services were sent to Honda.
My Argument: The problem was on CVT auto transmission but NOT on Engine. CVT was serviced by Honda Authorised Service Dealer and followed by 3 preventive maintenance services thereafter. Therefore, Honda Service Dealer has the opportunity to check the engine and auto transmission.

The Engine is fine. Honda Manual allows such preventive maintenance to be conducted by any expert person or facility.

Honda Defends: Such warranty is subject to schedule service agreement in the Preventive Maintenance Services Booklet. The booklet is an agreement between owner and Honda Service to send the car to Honda Honda Authorised Service Dealer for preventive maintenance services. However, neither me nor Honda sign the agreement in the booklet.

Honda void all the warranty which contravene the clause in the Preventive Maintenance Service Booklet. Honda may void the engine warranty but not CVT Auto Transmission warranty.

Honda Motor honda brio ts09ed9558 car poor servicing & bad attitude

the above said Car, Honda Brio is bought from M/s Kapil Motors Green Honda Nagole Hyderabad, and registered in my daughters name Sushmitha Ragunathan, and was given for Servicing & Insurance Claim on 20/12/2017 atKapil Motors Green Honda Nagole Hyderabad, i have got Honda ICICI Lombard Insurance only from the day one, even the Claim was lodged on the online also, they had kept my vehicle for 6 days till 26/12/2017, it came with only front Tenting done, again i have to call them and they say at a time only one repair will be done. even i had done the renewal of insurance with you only, on 31/12/2017, it is a bumber to bumber insurance. Again the vehicle was collected on 01/01/2018, and returned today on 06/01/2018, it was done in back bumper one side and returned back as it is. i got a Toyota Innova with bumper to bumper Insurance, no problem. Why should we take Insurance from you, to get hassle free service. i feel Mr Paraushuram - Insurance coordinator cum denting [+91-[protected]], can be little polite. The Service Manager [+91-[protected]] was kind enough to attend and arrange for the re collection.
Actually we left the car when we are going on leave for 5 days, so that it can be available, when we are back. 1st time it was not done & collected for 2nd time, we were made to be without car for 6 days and the car was returned as it is, if i have been asked to advise for buying a new Car, i won't advise for Honda Brand

Honda Motor 2010 honda crv ex 2.4 l

My second CRV had 97, 000 mile when I experienced my A/C compressor needed to be replaced. I checked Honda web site complaints and found this to be a common problem with these CRV's. My extended warrantee of course expired in February of 2017 when I had no need for my A/C in New England, but was essential inboxed the heat of July.
I love the CRV and my first one an '99 lasted 253k miles until little stuff started wearing out, this I can accept. However the number of A/C compressors Honda owners have had to replace is quite numerous.
I would like Honda to reimburse me the cost of the replaced compressor and labor amounting to $789.40. (I would be glad to send you a copy of receipt with an address and attention to a particular party.) Before I got the work done, I priced around and found the average price was about $1, 100.00 but I shopped local and have great mechanics. Parts were $450.34 and labor $349.96. plus hazardous material $7.58.

Moister must not be there.

Honda Motor honda civic 1.5 tc-p malaysia

My car have a serious problem after I done my service in authorized service centre, engine failure and Honda is not going to compensate anything and told me the cause of engine failure is caused by "mixture of diesel in petrol" this statement is unacceptable because it's been 3 month I'm sending my vehicle for them to inspect.
Before that, person in charge of my case said that they will compensate me with free service of 100, 000km mileage, and they now trying to avoid losses, and told me this causes is done by me

Hello brother, you pour diesel into your petrol engine sure the engine will rosak one. How can you blame the manufacturer when it is clearly your own fault? The vehicle warranty only covers manufacturing defects and not human errors. Just admit your mistake and spend your own money to get it fixed.

Dear Honda,
I have Taken HONDA ASSURED nil dep policy. To which I have left my car in FALCON HONDA NASHIK Maharashtra INDIA service centre. After 4 days of time I been contacted to say that my claim is not passed completely as surveyor has doubt. This is the first time we are taking claim in three years. We were assured by Honda that we will not be hassled in any situation. As our case is so normal and accidents can happen to anybody.If this happens I ll never take the insurance by Honda. Please look into the matter as many of the customers have complains against IFFCO TOKIO . First of all they talk so rude as we are thieves. They come after two days of claim intimation. All this things points to unprofessional behaviour. Kindly look in to the matter. (Car details MP 09 CQ 4837)

To : Managing Director and CEO Honda Malaysia and Management team,

Dear Sir/Madam,
I would like to raise a complaint regards to my car Honda Civic (car plate no. WJD 8883), I sent in my car on 16th August 2017 to Honda Kah Motor Selayang to repair and the service center Mr. Chan told me that the repair need 10 days to complete and shall be deliver to me within 10 days. Nevertheless however, I have not receive and update from him about my car repair and delivery status. Nonetheless, I was follow up with him several times and he told me that today 12th Sept 2017 my car is ready to deliver, But when I reached to the service center the car was not ready and the repairman told me that the car will be ready by this Friday perhaps.

I was very disappointed and upset about the services, your service center and Mr. Chan. In additionally, it was more than 10 days and if it’s done by this Friday which will take 30 days instead of 10 days which was promised.

Please do understand that I’m a consumer that should have the right to know my car repair status and delivery status unlike the service center does not bother to serve me and update me.

Honda Motor price gouging for capped service fee.

Bought New Honda Jazz May 2016. My warranty includes capped service fees for 5 years or 100000 K. As part of the capped service the wheels are rotated. If wheels are rotated they must be aligned for safety. I have been charged $75 on top of my capped service fee for the wheel alignment. I have no choice in the matter. The car is not safe after the service unless I have the wheels aligned. This is price gouging. The wheel alignment must be included in the capped fee if the wheels are rotated as part of the service. This is a devious and dishonest practice on the part of Honda. The capped service is inf fact NOT a capped service.

Honda Motor damaging my car at to service station in staferd moters

Dear Honda, I would like to make a complaint on your service center at Sri Lanka to unhelpful attitude and damage my car at the service.i have honda crz .i put my car to service on 28 th july 2017.after service is done i found my left had side outer door handle is broken, so inform them about it .this happened in ja-ele .then they told me to do to head office and meet service manager some one called Gayan.he was very rood to me and told honda CRZ is discontinued fail car.and they can't do any thing about it.

through out my life i have buy only honda cars .i had 2 civics then i bought CRZ.i love my car.but i think your agent in srilanka telling bad about cars is not good and it should stop.then they intrudes me to his boss he also told me the same thing that CRZ is fail car and don't blame there staff to broke it.

they temporary fix my door handle. because of untrained staff and rood managers actually in loosing interest about one of most love brand in my life.

please consider this because your own people making us bad to buy honda in side staferd moters maradana.

Honda Motor service book not received

This is mr. nishant morey I had buy the activa 3g on 06th february, 2017 from one of the dsa siddhi motors, they said the vehicle is been retail from your outlet / pilot honda. my concern is still I not get the service book as it is 06 months gone I keep following to dsa but no response so I would like to request you kindly help me with the same.

Honda Motor damaged products provided

My vehicles power steering hose was broken and I have contacted the Canadian tire south Edmonton common for repair, they couldn't give me a schedule until June 30th, So I bought the part( power steering hose) for my Honda accord 2000 model on June 23 2017 and hired a Mechanic to fix it, after my mechanic installed the hose on June 25 2017, we realize that the hose that I bought from Canadian tire was damaged(it was leaking), I went back to the store on June 26 2017 and explained them, they just provided a new part and they were refusing to hear about the labor cost that I have to pay extra due to their fault . I ended up paying double for labor cost and I couldn't go for work today on June 26. I ended up loosing money due to selling a damaged product.

Honda Motor accord/very bad performance & the service department delays

Last sunday(11-06-17), i was driving my honda accord which i bought on 2015, after driving for few hours the car suddenly got stuck and completely got off, after few minutes i started the car again and drove for 2min it got off again, then i called the recovery department and it was taken to the near by service showroom in abudhabi musaffah, its been now 3 days i have not recieved any information from their side what the problem is and im suffering here without my car here for last 3 days which is badly affecting my job as iam a sales oriented person in a well reputed company.
it is under warranty and for sure they will fix all the damages and it will back to normal but who will pay my losses of these days and the service manager promised me of hiring me rental car on [protected]) which i didnt recieve till date, why is this not in high priority and resolved it as early as possible atleast providing me a rental car the next day or after that .This kind of response is painful and affecting me alot, why do they take these very easily...lot to say ...

Honda Motor repair of ht activa purchased from them

My scooter met with an accident wih motorcycle coming from right side.
Chimta and right side liver demaged with some dent on front mud gaurd.
To getclaim from insurance co.I choose to get repair from arneja honda at amritsar which is also your dealer.I submit my scooter there on 22/05/2017
There employee mr.Vishal told me estimate of 4500/-and asked me to get
Scooter on 24/05/2017 evening. Before paying bill i requested him to check
The scooter first.But they refused.He insisted me to deposit the amout.At last
I deposited the amount .When i test drive the scooter.Scooter was not easy to derive handle was heavy and scooter shake while deriving.After consulting my regular auto repairer i came to know that they have not set the alignment[chimta].For whichn they charged labour for rs 2875.

Honda Motor honda refused to honor its car warranty.

I bought Honda Insight Hybrid in 2013. In Jan 2014, the automatic transmission or CVT broken while driving uphill on the parking ramp. Here are the facts:
1) The mileage is 96, 000km.
2) Car Warranty is 2 years or 100, 000 km whichever is earlier

Now here are the argument.
a) maintenance services was not consistent and breach the preventive maintenance servces.
Q) Is it a contract that you must send your car to the honda service center?
Yes, the engine maintenance was not consistent however the problem was on CVT and engine has no problem.
Q) What is the connection between engine and CVT?
Engine has its maintenance and CVT also has it maintenance. They are 2 different parts but dependent on each other to move the car. If it has inter-related connection, then not only must change the CVT but the engine as well. But in this case, only the CVT needs to be changed while the engine remains, no replacement.
Q) Why denied warranty when services for CVT has been performed every 40, 000 km as recommended.
Last service was at 79, 000 km and due when reaching 120, 000 km.
Q) Is the preventive maintenance an extended warranty?
If it is, then i need to pay and the dealer must inform me but in actual fact, it is included in the purchase price and i was not informed about it and not aware. Furthermore, dealer and i must agree and sign an exended warranty agreement but there is no documentary evidence even in the service booklet to the above.

In 2014, Honda recalled all its Civic and City Hybrid due to CVT problem whereby its drive pulley could not withstand high pressure and could be broken. It happened in USA with 21 car owner compained about the CVT. This is something similar to my Honda Insight but was not recalled.

There were 2 occassions that the Honda Insight suddenly reduced spped and roaring and could not move while the engine is still running. When sent to Honda Service, i was told it was calibration issue. Similar to the recalled civic and city hybrid.

Termination of warranty as seen in the booklet explicitly stated that if the car used for commercial use like Uber or racing and etc then warranty is null and void but nothing mention about inconsistent service.

Hey bro, it says very clearly in the Warranty Booklet that the Warranty will void if you did not send the car back to authorized Honda service centres for the periodic maintenance. To be fair to Honda, how do they know you sent your car to machanics 'under the tree' to service your car? And yes, the engine and CVT are related. Very much related.

Honda Motor service

This is my second complaint. my first complaint is to the Honda customer service which I did not get any reply from them.

I would like to complaint about the service provided by Botanic service centre in Klang. On 26th April 2017, I called up this botanic service centre to enquire regarding the problem with my reverse sensor. I was told that if I arrived early, I will be able to have my car check on time and do not need to wait for turn. So I sent my car there by 9 am. After getting my waiting no, which is 1003, I was attended by a customer service person after 10 min of waiting while there is no customer at the counter at all. I was told that I need to wait for about 2 hours for my car to be check. Ok. I waited for 1 hour in the service centre. I saw my car still in the same parking lot. I enquire the customer service person, then he told me that I need to wait for other people who has book for the service appointment then only they will check my car.

I am so frustrated. First, if they think they unable to entertain my car because of high booking volume, they should just told me immediately and suggest me to book an appointment when I call up and not wait till I sent off my car. Second, if there is no other people at the counter, why can't they attended us immediately? Third, if just for a checking, why still need to wait for 1 hour and my car is still at the parking lot.

I really disappointed with the service provided by Honda. My previous car is from Perodua, a local company, which never give me such problem before.

I hope Honda will improve their service and not taking away our trust on them.

I have a Honda city car in Qatar 2012 model 46000 km all services I am doing with Honda service center since 00 km .
.Suddenly I found rust appeared on the front left door and also started in the right door .I went to the body service Centre .they reported that this is not a manufacturer defect .I didn't see such thing before even in the older Honda models cars . The Honda service told me I should replace the door and repair the other one and I have to pay for that . I am insisting that is a problem in the door manufacturer please look into this matter it is not logic to have a car getting rust without any reason and I have to pay for that .this is very bad for company reputation and credibility

Honda Motor terrible service department on paint recall.

March 2017.
Took 2010 Honda to Asheboro Honda for paint recall. Service department rep first tried everything to absolutely do the minimum. Finally when approved and scheduled they (Asheboro Honda) first picked the week that we said we were not available. Was told to bring the vehicle the next Monday and it would take four to five days. On day five after not hearing anything we called dealer. Service said would check and call back, never called back. On Saturday, day six, called dealership. Travis said he left message but not on any of the call message records. Then he said ' oh sorry must have left it on a wrong number and the car will be ready 'sometime' next week. HONDA DOES NOT PROVIDE A REPLACEMENT DURING THIS TIME. Very disappointed, no matter how many slick ads on TV, bad customer service is bad customer service.

My daughter took her truck there to be fixed after a hit and run they we’re having a hard time with in’s company (another bad company) when it was time for truck to be fixed they couldn’t find it they had taken the truck to be AUCTIONED! The manager didn’t have a clue where it was taken to the payments were and had been on time, when they found it it was like 2 hours away and wouldn’t pay for the truck to be towed back costing her another 1,000 to get it brought to another place to repair (it was just damage to the driver side wheel no body work had to be done)they have still refused to pay for tow
