Honda Financial Services buying a used car

I bought an SUV from Honda back in June of 2016 for 35, 000 and put down 15, 000 then I also paid 12 months worth of payments of 610.00 every month for 12 months. I lost my job and I wasn't able to pay so I gave the car back, now they say I still owe 29, 000 still on the car. I really think they are getting over on me what do I do. the now they are going to sell the car at a private auction and Honda is saying if they can get more they whats left on the balance on the car they will return a refund check to be on whatever is left from the sale.

Honda Financial Services unauthorized ach debit on my checking account

On November 2nd I mailed a check to Honda Financial Services for the balance on my loan in the amount of $397.41. I got an email message from my bank to advise me that the amount of $297.41 was debited from my account thru the Ach process. I called my bank to find out what was going on. My bank told me that Honda Financial Services debited by my account for $297.41. I was told by my bank that ACH debits have to authorized by the customer. I had not given Honda Financial Services authorization to withdraw money from my account. I called Honda Financial Services to investigate. I was told that I owe $100. and that I was past due on my account. The agent from Honda could not locate the check for $397.41. My theory behind this is that Honda received my check and debited my account for $297.41. The only way that this could have happened is with the information provided on the face of the check, ie, the account number and routing number.
I would like to get to the bottom of this and find out how money was withdrawn from my account with authorization from me.

Honda Financial Services customer service is horribly rude, honda financial is crooked and steals money from the pockets of loyal honda customers

We have been loyal honda customers since 2003, we have owned 2 honda civics, 2 honda accords, and a honda element. When calling in with questions about the recent $1700.00 lease turn in bill we were given, customer service is rude, raises their voices and becomes combative. We are being charged a ridiculous $300.00 each for tires (Which by the way, the vehicle only has 24, 000 miles on it and the tires were regularly rotated, the tires should not even need replaced at this point other than the fact that accord quality has gone decidedly downhill over the years). I am in the automotive industry and found the exact same tires for $159.00 each. I called as a customer to multiple honda dealers and simply asked for a tire quote on these exact same tires and the most expensive quote I received was for $174.00 each. Clearly, honda does not care about customer service, being polite, explaining costs, or keeping in line with standard prices. We will never purchase a honda again and will be sure to tell everyone we know, through conversation and social media, to stay away from honda. I am a customer experience manager, a service manager, and a warranty administrator for another manufacturer, and we would never treat our customers the way that honda has treated us.

Honda Financial Services after early payoff — cannot get title reissued or formal payoff statement from honda

Customer number : 1007762
Ahfs account # [protected]
2013 honda odyssey
Purchased in missoula montana june 12 2013. Paid off 10.20.2016. As a senior citizen who served my country in the war I have been abused and disrespected by the customer service people at ahfc.. I paid off a 2013 honda odyssey 2 years "early" in october of 2016. The rate they gave me was excessive and potentially discriminatory, but I signed the documents and as with most folks in my age group I take full accountability for that mistake, but I was in a bind and the dealership knew it.

With the rate they gave me as a "senior" — honda was well compensated for the money they extended to me and I expected a response to payoff commensurate with that large profit... I was sorely mislead

After paying off the vehicle two years early... I have been waiting over 4 months to receive a formal release of lien or new "corrected" title showing that ahfc has no security interest in the 2013 odyssey vehicle. This means I can't dispose of it, as I have planned to get something more suitable for my situation. Ahfc (In multiple offices) have told me that they sent the new title to my address of record.. However — as others on this site have alluded — no title or release of lien has been received at any address or at any time. They have no traceability or proof that the document was mailed or that a request for new title was initiated.

I have asked repeatedly for them to re-issue the release of lien and to provide prrof or begin the process to get a new "correct" title issued... They have been extremely unhelpful and dismissive and have made no verifiable effort to get new title issued by the state of montana in over 4 months..

Ahfs do have an obligation under the laws in that state and in california but appear to flaunt their immunity to contract obligations and reasonable lawful expectations.
..
This is the least committed, disrespectful, and misleading group of loan processors I have ever been unlucky enough to use and i'm 86. They have already been proven to take advantage of minorities and special classes of folks to the tune of a $24 million dollar settlement in 2015 and apparently they have learned nothing from that award. This behavior reeks of "more of the same" as a very senior citizen, I believe that ahfc responses are certainly disrespectful, quite probably discriminatory, and potentially a violation of civil contract law in terms of reasonableness for loan document delivery..

I hope others take this to heart.. Especially if you don't have buckets of time to spend on these "affairs".

Honda Financial Services did not receive vehicle title after loan paid in full

I bought a new 2012 Honda Shadow Phantom through a local dealer and got financing with American Honda Finance Corp.

I paid my loan in full on September 26, 2015. I confirmed that the title was sent to my address on file but did not receive it.

I asked how it was sent to me and they said it was sent via USPS regular mail so no tracking number was issued.

I asked for a duplicate title to be sent to me as I waited 5 weeks and never received my title. They said they cannot do this and instead sent me a lien clearance letter to take to my local DMV to get a title.

I took the lien clearance letter to my local DMV and they said they cannot issue a replacement title and that American Honda Finacial Corp has to file for a replacement then send it to me.

This is very frustrating as I live in Hawaii and they are located in Georgia.

I am upset with the lack of willingness to assist me and their lack of appreciation of my business.

What can be done as a consumer to get them to help me.

Honda Financial Services poor customer service, erroneous charges

Because we overpaid on our account each month, HFS sent us little blurbs on every statement requesting that we just pay the total amount due, which, more often than not, was $0.00. When some large, unexpected expenses dropped on us, I did what HFS had been begging me to do for 4 years, and I paid $0.00. The next month, I went to their website to make my payment (although the amount due was still $0.00). I tried for the better part of an hour to log onto my account. Couldn't do it. The next month, I made the payment through my bank. Next statement I received from HFS showed a few piddly charges that they claimed were Investigation Fees. WTHeck? The next month (under the blurb asking that we not make a payment, because we were fully paid ahead) it showed a $160 Investigation Charge. I called to inquire, and have never, ever been treated more rudely in my life. The customer service rep even refused to transfer me to a supervisor. Flat out refused! I worked in a CS call center for 5 years, and understood that what she was telling me was illegal. I hung up on her and called back. Same experience. Un-stinking-believable! Never giving HFS our outstanding business again.

Honda Financial Services refund and documents

We have been trying for 2 months now to get the maintenance contract that we cancelled refunded ($1, 600) back to us. Also, we have been trying to get all the required documents needed from Honda Financial so we can register our car in San Diego, CA. We moved to San Diego, CA from Texas over 2 months ago and we have been trying for 2 months now to get all of this completed, but every time we call no one is at their desks and when we do talk with Rachael Keller she tells us that she is working on it, but nothing gets completed and then we have to call her back again and again. We have called her 7 times in the past month (Oct 6, Oct 10, Oct 22, Oct 27, Oct 30, Nov 3, and Nov 6) and we still do NOT have the required documents to register our car and we still do NOT have our $1, 600 refund. This is in addition to calling the local Honda dealership as well. We have been dealing with Rachael Keller and nothing is getting done. We keep getting the run around and excuses and our next step after contacting the BBB is the Attorney Generals Office, Consumer Affairs, and then if this matter is not resolved we will be hiring an attorney to resolve it. We just want all of the required documents needed so we can register our vehicle AND we want our $1, 600 refunded to us! We have waited and called now for 2 months and nothing has been completed. We now run the risk of having to pay a penalty for not registering our vehicle within the required legal time frame because Rachael Keller has not sent us all of the documents that we requested that are needed to register it. WORST experience dealing with a company! DO NOT use Honda Financial Services to lease or buy your vehicle!

Honda Financial Services harassing phone calls

This company is calling me every weekday. They fill my answer machine with requests to return the call to [protected]. When I call to find out what they want, they want my last four social security numbers and my account number. I have no account. They can only fix the problem if I give them the account number. I can't even get the phone company (ATT) to block the number as it is an 800 number. I spoke with the supposed manager at Honda and he said he would have it stopped. A lot of hot air. The calls continue. This is going on for several months now. What a sleezy company. I tried to find what they want but they have to protect the client. Whoever their client is gave them someone elses phone number and obviosly is not paying for their car loan. The calls are made by a machine. They will protect the crook while harassing someone not involved. I guarantee that if I were to buy a new car it would NOT be a Honda or anything connected tith that company. For proof, I have begun not deleting the harassing calls.

Honda Financial Services sleezy collection practices

You have been warned!
Honda financial services has reached a new low in sleezy collection tactics, so listen up everyone! Stay away from honda financial svcs! Everything I read in these reviews happened to a family member of mine, too - almost duplicate. I called them myself and got a taste of their tactics. It was unbelievable that a financial service, representing a good car company, could have stooped so low. One of my favorite lines used by the recovery dept was, "we told them they had 5 minutes to make the payment by western union or moneygram or the car would be repossessed." I was dumbfounded and asked her to repeat that. She did. Now how could any human being grab a coat and car keys and even get in their car in 5 minutes? Much less find a place to send a moneygram? So they make it impossible for you to make your payment, then repo the vehicle when it's almost paid off...

My daughter called to discuss payment with honda financial svcs one day and the person she spoke with immediately went on a "personal" attack with comments that were extremely hurtful and unwarranted; "what kind of person are you that you don't make your payment?" my daughter's answer was simple, "unemployed." but a new job was on the horizon and she had hoped to make arrangements to get caught up.

We made an arrangement with this company to pay any and all back payments on the following friday. Honda agreed on the telephone. But they sent a repo man to collect the car on thursday, one day before the payments were to be brought current! And of course, the only way we could get the car out of repo was by paying the past due, the current, and all future payments (6) in one lump sum. I do believe these practices are unlawful.

I could go on and on about this company and it's underhanded dealings. But be very clear about one thing; if you choose to use this company, you will lose! We did a little research into the value of the honda they repossessed from our family... There were only 6 payments left on the car, so thousands in principal and interest had already been paid to honda financial svcs. By repossessing the car and selling it at auction, with a kelly blue book value of around $12, 000, they would stand to almost double the revenue received for one little crv.

You have been warned! Don't do business with honda financial services in alpharetta, ga. Spread the word!

Honda Financial Services Car Lease

I just went through an absolute nightmare 3 weeks ago with the unexpected death of my father. He had a Honda Accord on lease for another year and i contacted Honda Financial Services about what needed to be done with his car. The person i dealt with over the next week was Cameron at Honda Financial. He was very sympathetic and extremely helpful in expediting this situation. I was told by Cameron, since my father's car was only in his name that we simply have to turn the car into a dealership and they would close out his account. He explained that with the closing of the account that everything would be zero'd out. We dropped the car off at the dealership in town and signed a couple papers verifying that it was turned over to Honda. Today, I received a certified letter notification for my father, in his name? The letter stated that his account was in "default" and that all charges after the sale of the vehicle will be sent to him. I immediately contacted the number listed for Honda Financial and talked to a Seth, a customer service representative. Seth is the epitome of bad customer service reps. He hung up on me the first time because he had no idea how to handle the situation. I called back immediately and somehow got him again. I asked him why he hung up on me, his response was, "i thought you hung up on me?" I was blown away and asked for his supervisor, to my surprise again, he hung up. I called back and unfortunately don't remember the person i got the third time, but it was a man again. This time he had nothing but attitude towards me and refused to send me to any supervisor or manager. He then explained that he doesn't see where i am authorized under my deceased father's account. I am seeing red at this moment. Now, i won't lie, i did lose my cool at this point and ended up hanging up on this representative. I am just appalled of the lack of customer service and complete lack of sincerity to the situation. I have tried to locate a corporate number to no avail. I am sick to my stomach over this situation.
Thanks Honda Financial you have made this very tough time in my life a treat!

Honda Financial Services Rip off

I had an accident that totalled out my car on Dec 13, I had full coverage and GAP. Honda recieved the insurance payment in the beginging of Jan, second week of January they began the barage of calls asking for January's payment. I asked if there was any reason that GAP would not be paid by the end of Jan. They said no, but to make the payment anyway and I would get refunded when GAP did pay. It's Febuary and GAP still has not paid and I have received a letter saying my loan is in default. Yes, I did receive the 4-6 calls a day while I was sleeping and at work. Also now credit that I worked so hard on is screwed up because of their greed. In hindsite it seems a conflict of interest to have the people responsible for my loan also in charge of paying a claim.

Honda Financial Services Repossed vehicle, stating 1 month behind

I purchased a 2009 Honda Accord in 2/2009, after leasing one in 2007. I accumalated mileage on the lease vehicle so the remainding amount that was owed was transfered to the 2009 vehicle and also I had to put a downpayment of $1500, in order to get the vehicle. I recently was divorced and was working 2 jobs, trying to make sure that I was able to make the payments had they exorted from me( $659.82)Thou my payment sometime were late, they were made. In oct of 2009 I lost my job, so I was not able to make the payments. Honda would contact me and my parents regarding the account, but would not work with us to come to reasonable agreement. 2 months later I recieved a call stating they would be repossing the vehicle. I quickly advised my parents who immediately paid the pass due balance inorder for me to Keep the car. Mind you the vehicle is in my mothers name and was a gift to help me move forward with my new life being single. After the car was paid up to date, in Jan 2010, my parents have continuosly have made my car payments. Today, I awoke to find that Honda had repossed my car stating that the account was in default.

I Spoke to Sam 1/31/[protected]@ 9am he was the rudest person I have ever encountered, stating that the car went into default in 3/2009 1 month after I just gave Honda $1500. So I quickly dismiss him, cause that made no sense, and called and spoke to Kristine, who said the account went deliquent in sept and they only recieved $ 582.22. I immediately called my father and his records indicated that the amount paid was the amount was agreed upon. Called back and spoke to Daphane, who was quite helpful, but when I asked her to fax info to parents, will lets say we are still waiting. I called back and left messages giving her the correct fax number and contact number nothing. I called back again, and spoke with Kristine, who advised me that there were 2 amounts on the check and they were authorized to extract the written amount and not the numerical amount on the check, but yet my father contact his financial institutiona dn they have stated the numerical amont was taking out. So where was the delinquency? She said the balance in aug-sept was $932.00 I asked why, she said from fee for the car..What fees. I still don't know. Also in order for me to get my vehicle I would to pay $23, 111.44 to get my car, plus repossesion fees, storage fees, and $50. to get anything I had in the car.I don't understand this, and how can a comapny exist with so many rude and uncooperative employees. Honda doesnt want to work with you they just want thier money. One rep stated that just cause the economy s bad, it's still my responsiblity to make my payments, and it's mine and my parents fault this happened. I have no car, I can't go look for employment cause I have no car, and where I live is to far out for city transortation to take me from one city to another to find work. Honda is the worst company I have ever dealt with. My father said this is " Predatory lending practices, where a company will finance you knowing that you at one point fall short of your commitement just so they can resale the car to some poor indiviual like me! I hope Honda rots for it practices!

the 1500.00 is a down payment, it has nothing to do with the payments due each month. even though you paid 1500.00 down does not mean the next month you dont have a payment due. and as far as predatory lending practices your father needs to learn what this statement means before making it. It means that they prey on individuals who cant afford a loan to start with and make such a loan with high interest such as a payday loan/title loan that you default. If your parents were making the loan payments and the loan was in your mothers name then you were not part of the deal so therefore couldnt have been the target. Perhaps if you had made every payment on time as promised in your contract then this would not have been a problem.

Honda Financial Services Bad service

I have had problems with Honda Finance in the past year. Granted I have been late and they did grant me an extension, but I was harrased the whole time. The customer service(a/k/a collections agents)sent me threatening letters, they called me constantly and threatened to take my car, and smacked me with a bunch of late fees. I am more than willing to pay the late fees, but the abbrasive, nasty, and condescending way Honda Finance talks to there customer's needs to change. I can't wait to pay this loan off, and I will never finance through honda again. Does anyone have any suggestions? I have called corporate before but the harrassing never stops.
