Hometown America - need justice for a tenant

My name is Doris. I was renting a mobile home here in Orange Lake Park. The owner said it was okay. He said it was a rental park. I was in a very bad car accident. I am 65 years old and I receive Social Security of 1, 000.00 per month.

My sister gave me 17, 000.00 as a gift and she was going to buy me one of the mobile homes here.

When I went to the office the manager was very rude by the way she said I told you that you have to go in 2 weeks. Your report was bad and denied. We can not have you here at all. Now I told her that my sister will buy the home and she has good credit. She said well we dont know if you can stay and your sister has to stay. I mean she was contradicting. She was rude. And it was not my fault I rented without knowing that I could not rent. With times like today. Almost everyone has lost their home. This is not the time to be like this. I was willing to give 6 months of lot rent in adance and they can check to see I get 1, 000 for social security along with my sister having good credit living with me.

Do I have to write to our President Obama? If this does not get resolved I will. Lets see if we can get the news here at this Park.
What is going on here?

My wife and I live in a hometown america mobile home park for twenty years over the time hometown has own it we have had five managers and the last on we have now is trying to put us out cause of her not doing her job .we rent space in storage yard for years then we all was told we had to move out of storage yard so most of us did so over the next two months I still see people in the yard so I sent a email to her asking why are people still in yard and we have a leash law that she will not in force and in the state we live in if you move in to the state you are to have your car reg taged in that state after you live in state for 30 days all of this is in the rules of hometown but as I say when I sent email about it I'm now told I have to move out hometown should stand behind the tenant who has been a good on for twenty years all so since she been managing the park look like crap and crime is bad I hope hometown will read this and stop her and let us stay we are not wrong for what we did

The above is incorrect ! There is something as equality !
One can not enforce rules if they don't follow these rules themselfes !
At that point all rules & regulations are nul and void !

Even people staying with you and not paying rent have to have a credit check and be 'approved'. If they deny you, it doesn't matter if you own the home or your sister, you cant stay. This is the advantage of them owning the land; they have a say over who can or cant live there.

I'm currently living in the Hometown Community of Palm Beach Colony .

Although the rules clearly state that rentals are stricktly forbidden ... there are several owners here that rent out there home's, aswel several whom rent out a room .
Whe have put in several written complaints about this ... NO RESPONS !
The only action the owners, whom are renting out had to do is register these tenants as long time visitors ( longer then 2 weeks ) ... This is clearly a breach of contract !
Therefore ... You also have the right to rent from your sister !
If You would like a writen statement from us ... NO PROBLEM !
Just contact us at current residents of lot 237, 2000 North Congress Ave, West Palm Beach, FL 33409
