We rented a house from this company Oct '07-Oct '08. They scheduled our move-in date Ocy 8th (which ended up landing on Columbus Day). We packed up 2 cars, 2 babies, and drove 2 hours to meet our property manager at the office and she never showed and the office was closed. When we were finally able to get in touch with her from the emergency number, she said she wasn't coming down to give us the keys because it was a holiday. She also said she called our cell phones to inform us, which I found was a lie after I researched our phone records. Finally the Office Manager came down and got us keys that she said were only temporary as the house still needed to be re-keyed. Well, we unloaded our cars and went back to our old home planning to finish our moving the next weekend. After we moved in we made several calls to the office as they had not yet re-keyed the house. We finally got a call back saying that it was done and charged for. If that was the case why did the old "temporary" keys still work? It was finally resolved after being moved in for about 2 months.
Also, the house was never cleaned before we moved in. There was glass on the floor, dirty, sticky counter tops, dog feces in the courtyard, matted dog hair in the windows and sliding door tracks, urine around the toilets on the floor, full garbage cans, dirty blinds, the list goes on and on...it was disgusting. After repeated phone calls to our prop. mgr I gave up and cleaned it all myself...can't live like that. Anyways, upon move-out, I reminded her of the condition of the house when we moved in and she said to leave it in the same condition in which we got it...so we did. Now we're being charged $350 for the cleaning.
They are even charging us for lightbulbs that weren't there when we moved in.
Has anyone else had issues with this company or the property managers?
