1 year ago a Homedics back messager pinched my wife so hard-the two rollers came together-that it pinched something internally and caused bleeding. She had to go to the emergency room to have it checked out.

Homedics asked for the pillow to be returned which we did-over a year ago. Yet they still can't "get an answer" from their insurance company as to what to do?

I would say the product is unsafe and they should pay for the unit and the medical bills its caused...

Homedics cancelled my Black Friday order a few days after I ordered with no explanation. The website shows the item still available, and it was charged to my PayPal and linked credit card--there should be absolutely no reason why a company cancels a customer's order with no explanation.

I too was injured by the pillow and reported the injury to Homedics in April 2013. The unit burned a quarter sized amount of skin off my neck. It was bleeding and oozing for 3 weeks. The injury caused a lot of pain and mental anguish. A year later, I have a scar on the back of my neck. Homedics has not taken the complaint seriously. After numerous emails and calls, I finally got a return email after 2 months. They will not answer any questions in regards to reporting the injury to the FDA and US Product Safety Commission. Instead, Homedics is focused on getting the unit back in the mail. They told me if I do not mail it, they are going to dismiss my claim. I was warned not to return it because I would never see it again, and would have no evidence to use in court. I do not want to return the unit because after reading complaints from others who have returned it, Homedics has not handled their claims. I will never buy another Homedics product again. It seems they are focused more on money and not on the injuries their products cause.

I have the homedics heated back massager I used for chronic back pain due to herniated disks and arthritis in the spine and believe the device broke my rib. I was suffering extreme pain after using it a few days and woke up with a bruise the width of a plate and was rushed to the emergency room. I almost certain the device caused it as I did not have a fall nor was in any physical confrontations. Been out of work for a few days on heavy painkillers. What an we do to warn users of the possible hazards or get legal counseling. My email is edwardrileyiii@verizon.net

I am considering a lawsuit myself..I have a back massager that I had on my chair and the motor in the bottom part under my legs over time had caused me considerable pain and sciatica among other complications in the lower region.

I was at a store with a display for the homedics shiatsu pillow massager for the neck and I was feeling it with my hand when it caught my wrist and squeezed my wrist when the 2 massager balls came together, so bad it tore the ligiments off the bone in which I had 2 surgerys so far with at least 1 or 2 more operations to go. if any one has had a similar experience please email me at delgene@sbcglobal.net

You're lucky if it only drew blood - mine caused a freakin fire in my house while we were sleeping and I lost everything I owned, and almost my life! File a complaint with the US Product Safety Commission and email me if you need a contact person there! Homedics lies and gets away with it - but there are federal laws that govern their reporting practices and the federal law requires them to file their own report with the US Product Safety Commission within 48 hours after your reporting it to them (Homedics) - they did not do that when I reported it to them and were sanctioned big bucks for not doing so. I have information (documented) that not reporting and not taking customer complaints seriously is a generally normal practice of theirs that I will glady forward to you, these are documented from governmental agencies who have gone after them!
