Home Town Modular Kitchen

Ref. S.O. No. [protected] dated 01-01-14. We placed an order for a Modular Kitchen on Home Town, New Town, Kolkata in the year 2012 against which delivery was completed in January 2014. The modular kitchen is in a very bad shape within 2 years of delivery. We have requested for its repair about three months back and spoke to your representative Mr. Aftab. Though he had promised to arrange for repair nothing has been done so far. We once again write to request for immediate repair before further deterioration of the modular kitchen. Home Town Pathetic Service Provider

“A happy Customer might tell a friend but an unhappy one will tell the world” This completely depends on the company whether they want to let the customer tell a friend or simply to the world. I unfortunately fall in the second category of the quote. When a customer purchase something from a shop he wish and trust to get a good service. But unfortunately Hometown a big home decor providing company does not believe providing good service. Many promises are made at the time of purchase but when you are in need of service they just there back to you. My personal experience goes like this : We purchased some 7 wardrobe from Hometown 2 years back. Due to an ill fated accident one of the door of our wardrobe broke down. We contacted Hometown for help they made arrangements to send a carpenter to our house he inspected and said we will get your door soon. After that we continuously tried to contact the person sometimes he said he is busy and didn't received our call and sometimes he just ignored it. We didn't get any positive response from the person we moved personally to the Hometown shop which is at Marathahalli. We were asked to meet the concern person and we provided him with all our details. He assured us saying we have raised the complaint and will fix our problem ASAP. We tried calling this person now he also started ignoring our calls and o response came from him. So this is the service you are going to receive after purchasing furniture from Hometown So I would like to request customers out there that if you willing to purchase anything from Hometown please think twice before you make the purchase because this can happen to you too. Home Town Poor service and misbehaviour

We have purchased on 11/o5/2011 the tiles for our house, Home Town, Rajarhat Kolkata assured us that they will deliver the same within 4 working days as per their commitements we have removed all the marbles from the flooring but they did not turned up till 20th May 2011, we are suffering from lot dust and bust here and there.
we are very unhappy with Hometown services and support as well their delivery boy behaviour, they are very - 2 rude

Pls. don't buy anything from Home town. Its a dangerous place. They are there to dupe the law abiding citizens like us with rotten furnitures. If you go and lodge the complain, they will find this or that excuses and won;t provide any replacement, rather I should say, nothing. Its a hopeless place and I am planning to lodge the complain to consumer forum and to the CM office. They just can't walk away Scott free! Subir Dey and Antara Dey. Our Sales order number: [protected]. I won't let them go so easily. Lets see!

I totally agree with your problem. I am also currently facing the same problem. I have booked a dinning table the delivery date of which was 01/09/2011 not after several attempt from my end, i discovered that they do not have the dinning table at their godown and asked me to wait for another 1 month. Now i want to cancel the booking and get by entire refund back as i can not wait for 1 month but Home Town Rajarthat has refused to refund me the money and asked me to knock their HO door by providing me a simple email of their HO.

In my opinion, one should not buy any product from Home Town for which the delivery was supposed to be made in future without taking immediately delivery, i would advice the customer not to make the entire payment.

i ordered a chimney from hometown rajarhat on 12th may 2011 and they assured me that they will deliver it on 12th june 2011. but it is 3 months that they could not deliver it.
i lodge a complaint with the manager but his response was not good.
the salesperson there are also rude and dont co-operate after u buy the things.

Home Town Damaged Artcle / Replacement by article of Different Model

Purchased a wash basin(DE-8049-Glass Basin, Code [protected]) on 02.11.2009.
After ionstallation, the article was found damaged/deffective. The complaint was lodged over Telephone to Mr Bijay at Mble no.[protected]. Next a fitter was sent for inspection, He submitted his report confirming the deffect as conveyed by Mr. Bijay. He assured for replacement depending on the availability, but it was requested that the design feature of the Basin itself is considered to be faulty, the replacement with a same designed article will invite repeated complaints making unnecessary hassle and anoyance for both saler and consummer, hence to REPLACE with a basin of OTHER MODEL.
It is requested for a satisfactory redressal.

Home Town Damaged Furniture

I had purchased a cabinet from Home Town on 30/09/09 and was assured that it would be assembled within 48hrs of its delivery which they claimed was a standard that they are are known for. The product was delivered on 05/10/09, and i got a call on the same day that it would be assembled positively on 07/10/09, however no one came and i had to call them back as i had wasted the entire day waiting for them. I spoke to Saugata Saha from the fittment department who assured he would get it assembled. On 08/10/09 the fitter came from Home Town and assembled the product but for my shock the product was damaged. It had a door that was damaged and the fitter initially saying that it is just a scrach later agreed that it is a damaged door and i can write my complaint on the Job Card and it would be fixed. He refused to give me a copy of the jobcard, however on my insisting he handed over the copy to me his name was Tapas. I waited for a couple of days when i didnot hear anything back i called up Home Town and was told there is no complaint under my name with them as they do not look at the Job Cards. I registered another complaint # 39019 and again spoke to Saugata who again assured me that he would either get it fixed today or get me speak to the head of their department whose name is Sweta Banerjee. however he called back assuring that next day some one froom Home Town would be visiting to have my product fixed. Till 31/10/09 no one came and when i called back again on 31st to Home Town i got another shock that my cpomplaint was registered for a faulty Gyeser(i have never bought a geyser from them). Again i have been told by Saugata Saha that it would take couple of more days, however he has been unable to provide any reason for the delay. And I have been refused on requesting to speak to head of the customer service/ fitment dept. Ms Sweta Banerjee claiming that she is busy with other customers and they cannot do anything.

Hi,
I am Abhishek Amarnath, I would like to share my worst shopping experience, On 16th May 2011 which was the worst day of my life as I purchased one window AC of LG from home town Lucknow vide the Sales order no [protected].

Till the time of making payment, entire team of Home Town were very friendly & supportive, But it to my utter surprise only after one hour they are not ready to even listen, What I am saying.

I am taking you to the entire incidence, On 16th May 2011 at 01:30 Pm, I purchased one window AC from Home Town & requested them to do the installation on the same day as my Old machine was not working. Before the swapping of my card, they were assured to do the Installation immediately.

Only after two hour when I enquired in store about the delivery of my product, One Madam picked the phone after full interview & showing great benevolence on me she transferred call to some Mr. Athar Ali.

This gentleman shown lot of apologies & given excuses “Sir as the stabilizer is readily not available in our ware house, So I am not able to deliver the goods tomorrow I will ensure the delivery & Installation” .

Today again I started the follow-up for the same so after my 3rd call, I got the delivery of the machine, Now I am doing the follow-up with the home town team for the Installation & after the following the same sequence of follow-up, 1st Madam after full interview with some call forwarding & conference getting repeatedly fake commitment from Mr. Athar Ali waiting for the installation.

Now I feeling I did a mistake by purchasing the goods form home town, the team of Lucknow home town is good for nothing, they are doing hell of fake commitments & telecaller madam is not ready to talk.
So finally I would like to sumup my buying experience with Home Town, Pls. buy the good from home town if you have

1. Good patience level for doing the follow-up.
2. Excessive money for wasting in calls.
3. Willing to spoil your day & mood.
4. Wanting smash up yourself respect by one telecaller.

Finally you will get some petty discount, Lot of fake commitments & misbehavior, So it is my advice to all buyer who are going to buy any product form Home Town “Please think twice”

I purchased a mattress on Saturday 5th July, 2008 but still is not delivered.
I want to make a complaint against the people in home town as they are not dealing customers well and I have contacted around 15 times but still no result.

As home town offers delivery within 24 hours so I want to mark why it is being so delayed.

Plz do not buy any product from Home Town.

Home Town Kolkata is the worst place in the world to order any modular things. Their service is horrible. If you have extra money, a lot of time to spend then go for it.

i totally agreed. Home Town Kolkata has worst service provider than one can imagined. i bought a dinning table for immediate delivery by 01/09/2011 under their memo no [protected] . it is more than 15 days now but there is no update from their end. When i asked them to refund the money, they asked me to approx their HO which is located in Mumbai. I can not imagine that a reputed company like Future Group are such pathetic service provider.
In my opinion do not buy any product from home town other than home accessories item.

Dear Sir / Madam,

With great pride we purchased 3 nos. lock from HOME TOWN - RAJARHAT - KOLKATA as per their cash memo no:T35/13946 DT: 19/06/2011 AND MADE A DOCKET FOR FREE FITMENT IN YOUR TOLL FREE.

Your fitter came & installed 2 nos lock succesfully but the 3rd one he could not as he stated that a particlar part is missing without which installation is not possible. All 3 seal packets were opened by him. He further cooly suggested to take the 3 rd lock back to HOME TOWN for free & immediate replacement.

Yesterday (July 10th 2011) being a SUNDAY I took same back for needful to HOME TOWN- Rajarhat but the reception we received was AWFUL.

I had to wait 1/2 an hour in the customer care area for someone to turn up and listen to the facts, thereafter she walked away with the token (No:10) - that is proof of entry and after another 1/2 an hour someone else regrets the change. I wasted one long hour with my family and the family SUNDAY was totally spoilt.

Today I have lodged a complain for the Godrej lock in your toll free no for the needful complain No: KOL/29818.

Awaiting your direct response.

Home Town faulty product

Hello,
I have purchased a mattress through order no [protected] on 14th jan 2009 from bangalore Marathalli hometown showroom. Item was delivered at10 pm on 4th feb 09.
Next day I observed that mattress is having stitches broken at few places. I contacted marathalli office and requested to cancel the order. The manager told me that he will raise a request for the item to pickup. After 10 days i.e on 13th of feb 2009, item has been picked up from my house. After item pickup, I again contacted the manager and he told me that when he gets confirmation from ware-house he will issue me a credit note.
Today is 3rd march 09 and item confirmation from ware-house is not recieved by the manager. When ever I call the manager, he used to say that he has yet not recieved the confirmation from the ware-house, he will contact them and he will call me back in 15 mins. But he never come back to me.
Pls suggest what can I do to get my money back.
