Home Depot rude, unorganized, liars

Ordered all of my kitchen appliances, scheduled delivery, took day off work, hired a contractor, was called night before scheduled delivery at 7pm with automated message stating that my appliances would not be delivered until the following week. Called my local store and was promised by the store manager a call back once the situation was looked into. Never received a call back. Called again the following morning and once again was promised a call back by the store manager. Once again, did not receive a call back. NEVER AGAIN! I WILL NOT BUY FROM HOME DEPOT. I have spent over $10, 000 in the last two weeks and this is the kind of treatment I get.

Home Depot not being able to order a product online

Hi, I am writing to say how disappointed I am in the customer service Home Depot has provided me.
I am a Canadian customer who wanted to purchase an item online which was not available in your store and because I don't have a U.S billing address they would not let me order the item.
I have ordered multiple items in the past before on U.S websites and never had any problems.
This was an item that I really needed and was planning on visiting the U.S this weekend to pick up this item.
I would appreciate if I could receive a call to discuss this in further detail.
Thanks,
Michelle

Home Depot floor measurement & installation

I am beyond frustrated!

I paid Home Depot to come out and measure my floor, I went in and picked out flooring. Paid for the flooring, picked up the all the materials. Moved all my appliances out of the kitchen.

This morning should've been my installation of the new floor. Well, the contractors came in put a level on the floor and said we can't donyour floor it's not level. They were here 5 [censored]ing minutes. I'm so mad!

Really? Maybe the contractor that came out and measured should've put a level on the floor so we didn't do all this work and pay all this money for material that is now just sitting in my house

I have nothing nice to say about Home Depot right now, what a [censored]ing waste of time.

Home Depot electrical

I am sad to say that I don't plan on buying my electrical supplies at your Flemington, NJ store anymore. The inventory is embarrassing, and the customer service has gone down hill. Today I asked an associate for help, and he was too busy on a personal phone call to help. I have to now go to another store to fulfill my needs. I am an electrical contractor, and I am usually here many times a week spending money. Even common items for simple tasks are out of stock. Get it together Hope Depot. Maybe Lowe's or Cooper will be able to help! ( I overheard your associates conversation while he told me to wait, not work related at all!)

Home Depot multiple instances of incompetence and being lied to regarding order

This is to notify HD that I am canceling my order for failure of HD to begin building my order, shipping my order, and delivering my order.

On May 1 we placed a kitchen cabinet order
On May 15 we received an email that the order was to be delivered on May 19
On May 17 I called my H.D. to verify when order would be delivered on May 19, to which HD responded that they would have to check.
Because I did not receive a reply, later on May 17 I called the vendor who was listed on the order, at which time the vendor indicated the order in fact was not even started and would not be delivered until June 16.
After my call to vendor, on May 17, I again called HD to cancel my order, to which HD responded they would have to check the order again. Later on May 17, HD called on May 17 and indicated that in fact the order was on the truck ready for delivery to my address on May 19. I indicated that for that reason I would not cancel the order.
On May 18 I received a call from HD Designer Center that my order would not be shipped until June 11 to which I indicated again that I wanted to cancel my order. The person on the phone indicated ok. I asked for verification that she had canceled to which she said she had, but that she could not send an email verification.
On May 18, after the call from the HD Design center, I called my HD to verify that in fact my order was canceled. The manager at HD said that they were unable to verify my order was canceled and could not do so until some one higher than him got involved.

We now have to move into our new home that has no functioning kitchen as it was removed in anticipation of our move in day at the end of May.

Shame on HD for your incompetency and treatment of a customer who will never step in your store again.

Home Depot install a storm door - water damage in my basement

I had Home Depot install a storm on my basement on 5/9/18. Since that time, the door has leaked inside and water has backed up in my basement. My carpet is saturated, there is mold on the floors and the walls and the baseboards are ruined. Home Depot came out and said it wasn't their issue. They're trying to tell me I've had water in my basement before. However, they are unable to explain the pictures I have of water running down the inside of the new storm door. The are also unable to explain the fact that if the door is closed, water backs up in the basement. If I prop the door open, no water in the basement. I have several thousands of dollars damage and no one from Home Depot will take responsibility. They sent out a long time store employee named Earl yet no one could tell me Earl's credentials. They sent a district manager who walked off the job when I became upset. His response was "You know I can just leave." I would advise never trusting Home Depot with anything in your home.

Home Depot service

when I purchased flooring at the cleveland hts store my wife made her desion then I paid for the product. then I was told that it would take about a week to ship it to my home.at this time I asked to use my military discount.the sale person told me then that when the product came to my resident, then come back to the store and I would be credited.as it stood the week passed and no delivery.it was promised by the lasted on may 14.it came and no delivery. after 3 days of calling they finally delivered it on may 17.my time was wasted waiting when I was promised on numerous times.after my delivery and I got the shiping order I went to the store then I was to receive credit for military discount. that is when I was told that it would not to be applied because it was ordered by the internet ordering. I did not order by the internet. the manager of the store was very helpful and understanding he contacted the main office and he assured me that I would be credited.other than the manager just about every one else gave me a hard time from the store to the shippingit was a nightmare dealing with everybody. I would not recommened this to anybody else the order was wd16439021.

Home Depot credit card

I took out a Home Depot credit card in April. After getting my card I tried to register it online. It kept giving me errors even though I entered everything correctly. When I tried calling the help desk, they were always closed or I waited forever and couldn't get through. This went on for a few weeks and finally at 12:01 on May 16th after trying 5 or 6 times all evening, it let me register...no errors. Wow, I thought, I've been entering this same information for a few weeks now and FINALLY it let me register. Well, the first thing I saw on my statement was a late fee of $27.00 posted at 12:00 AM the 17th. I never receive a bill in the mail from them at all. I couldn't get my account registered to see what and when I owed them so how could I pay them? I firmly believe that not allowing me to register until after the late fee was posted was not a coincidence. Has anyone else experienced anything like this? I will be cancelling this card and will never step into another Home Depot again.

Home Depot poor customer service at the state college, home depot

On the evening of May 15th at approximately 7:00 pm I walked into our State College, PA Home Depot hoping to buy a refrigerator since the one I had stopped working. I found one I liked for approximately $475 and was told that this particular model was no longer carried in the store and was now only available online. I asked if I could buy the floor model and the associate who was helping me called to ask, who I am only guessing was the manager on duty, "Dillion" and he told the associate that he could not sell it to me. I explained that I was in a desperate situation as my just stopped working and asked if they could make an exception and again I was told no. Believe it or not I spend $1000's of dollars each year at Home Depot, I am a card holder so this can be verified. I also was planning on spending another $5000 in July for a new kitchen that I am installing this year. I also have always preferred Home Depot to Lowe's and so I was very disappointed that the Mgr. who made the decision to say "no" would not even have the courtesy to meet me in person and left this for the associate to handle. The older gentleman who helped me was very nice and so I had no issue with him. I ended up going across the street Lowe's and they sold me a similar model for $499. I own a home in Williamsville, NY and I have an apartment out here in State College and so my regular store is located in Williamsville, NY but this is two days later I still felt compelled to complain about my experience in this Store.

Thank you,
Rick Tagliarino

Home Depot customer complaint

this was sent to [protected]@homedepot.com today.

May 17, 2018

I'm writing to you regarding my very disappointed experience trying to purchase a front door on your website. I tried to purchase not one but three different doors with an issue with each. I called your customer service line for homedepot.com and they also could not order the doors. I feel I have waisted more of time then necessary when I should be able to order and done. I do a lot of online ordering. I was told it was not available in my area which is absolutely absurd. It should be shipped to my local store. Stating something you have clearly listed on your website to purchase and then say its unavailable in my area doesn't make sure. I'm not shopping in the store. The items online should all be available to ship from your warehouse and or store and have it ship to my local store that is how it works on all websites.

I'm so upset at the time I have waisted calling and researching why this is. I call my local news who plays a segment every night on consumer nightmares (NBC Connecticut Trouble Shooters) and I'm waiting for them to call me back.

The point of going to the website and not the store is not just convenience however its always so you could purchase any item in your warehouse and it could be shipped to a local store this doesn't cost businesses more in shipping as they are shipping it through their driving team. If the door is only available in a particular store you should only be selling it in the store and not online (which is also unfair to a homeowner to not have the opportunity to purchase any door listed online and not select which stores you will sell them at.)

I want a response today either or via an email or phone call. I'm truly disappointed at this situation and can't and will following up with my local news about this if this complaint is ignored. I have never experienced such a situation.

The doors in question are

Internet #[protected] - Model #53676 - Store Sku #[protected] (first choice)
Internet #[protected] - Model #ST36-PRHL-PATR-4LM - Store Sku #[protected] (second choice)
Internet #[protected] - Model #ST36-PRO-PATR-4RH - Store sku #[protected] (third choice)

Please CC: with confirmation to me as their emails are unavailable to me.

Home Depot customer service

Bought carpet from home depot store Richmond, ca. At time of purchase. I informed the sales person that I wanted to use my United airlines mileage plus application to get miles for each dollar spent. Sales person made a call then informed me that they do not do that there. So I decided to bring it up with customer service. After being passed off from associate to associate. No one there know of it or how to do it. I was told to come back on a different day when a certain person was there. So I called United miles plus. They informed me how to do it. I gladly and patiently returned to try to get it straightened out. Again, no one knew what I was talking about. Muchless cared. I could not believe the behavior of the employees. As if ignorance was bliss. I found a long time employee who told me and I quote - ' there is only a few people who I would want to talk too. All the others don't care or are not going to be much help' I was really starting to see what he was talking about. I found 1 of the 3 people he recommended. She was helpful but informed me that it can't be done till the job was finished. I was a bit shocked after spending almost $1700. But kindly understood policy.
I was told after purchase that it was a special order. That someone would call me in about 2 weeks. 3 weeks passed. So I went down and inquiries about it. I was told that there was a problem of some sort and someone would contact me soon. Now my whole project is on hold because of some sort? I remained calm and waited. A few weeks later the call finally came. By then, I gave up all hope of the project ever being done. It costed me a lot of stress, time and money. But most of all embarrassment with the owner of the property.
Trying to get it delivered and installed on time. The very first initial date they gave me for delivery was cancelled due to a scheduling error on JW flooring part. And had to be rescheduled a week later. It was late! Installation - (JW flooring) was one person and he tried to use the same old rusty tacking. When I asked him about it. He said it was not on work order. I asked him to change or take carpet back. He changed. (I should not have had to asked to do) when I informed store. They told me that was not apart of the service! - (per steve) if it is not. It should be documented at time of purchase. The installer informed me that it was gonna run late. I said that was fine. He said about 9pm. Well he left at close to midnight. Really! I was too exhausted and relieved
look at his work. So I just trusted his word that he was finished.
The next morning, the landlord informed me that it was a [censored] job. So I race over and met with him. I was so embarrassed. There was no clean up. No alignment of cut in carpet. But most of all. When landlord open the front door. The molding was not bolded down and it tore the carpet. Under normal circumstance I would have just fixed it myself. But this was out of my league. And I thought I should not even have too. So I called Home Depot Richmond California. The same place I bought it from. They informed me that they would potentially send a supervisor out to do a punch list for completion of the job. JW flooring was supposed to call me back. But never did. After a week or two I called them. We set up a date. I could not be here so left key. The installer was supposed to call me upon arrival and never did. I went downstairs to see if the key was still down there. They left the door wide open and I seen they finish the job. I'm still not completely happy with how the alignment of the carpet in front of the fireplace came out. But I'm relieved that it's 99% done. JW flooring never called me again to inform me that it was done. And I refuse to call them back because if they call this a professional job I hate to see them do it right. I am completely blown away that such a reputable business like Home Depot would use such an unprofessional company. Maybe that's what distinguishes the customer at Home Depot from the pros.
I wish I could tell you this was the end of it. Unfortunately, it is not. Now back to the purchase miles option with United miles plus. Tonight I went down there to try to finally all get it sorted out and get the miles I am owed for spending the money at your establishment. Knowing I had been down this road before and feeling the resistance I had from the staff on previous occasions. I talked to a couple of employees about the matter. They all had the same common issue. No one knew how to do the transaction. I had informed them that I had made the same type of purchase via the application at other stores. Thinking I could talk them through trying to make such an effort to get it done was a big mistake. I was passed to three different Associates and finally a manager. After a number of different phone calls. I was told that no one knew including the manager how to make the transaction. Now I was just livid. I cannot believe that such a big establishment such as yours has managers who do not know how to do certain transactions. I informed him that his lack of Education on the subject was reflection of his management skills. He accused me of insulting him and calling him uneducated. I informed him that I did not call him uneducated. That I called him uneducated in this transaction. And that this was unacceptable for any manager much less any employee on register at Home Depot. He informed me just like the rest of the employees from previous days and today to come back tomorrow when somebody would be there that knew how to do it. I told him that I would but first I was going to contact corporate. And let them know how this Home Depot is being managed. I've been to a plenty of Home Depots in my lifetime. Many of them have been far better then this location. Even the ones in Baja California have better trained and more helpful employees. I still have half a house to carpet and was going to use Home Depot to do it. Unfortunately after all this I asked you.? Which you use Home Depot again.?
In the ending, I would like to suggest a complete training program and a possible customer service motivation class for employees.
Thank you for your time

Home Depot ge refrigerator

My brother & I bought a new GE refrigerator 2 week ago at 1706 Elgin Mills Rd East Richmond Hill Ontario and requested if it could be delivered in the morning only as i have a doctor appointment on that day at 3 pm in the afternoon and the salesgirl (Nigar) told us that there was no problem at all and that it is important that I went ahead and booked the elevator first as I am living in a condo. So i booked the elevator for the morning on the day of delivery.
At 6 pm before the day of delivery i received a recorded message on my phone telling me that my delivery will be from 11.30 to 3.30 pm the next day and that if i have any question please call the number on top of my order. I called that number and was told it was closed and would take me to the message center to leave a message. Then i was told my message could not be taken as the message mail box is full.
So I called Home depot store at Richmond Hill direct and the associate who pick up the phone tole me delivery is handled by another department. I tried to explain to him and asked if it could be delivered before 2pm as i had a doctor appointment at 3 pm. He said nothing they can do at the store as delivery is done by another department and that i should call the number on my order which i just did but getting no way. Also he said the salesgirl Nigar would have never said that to me that it was no problem to make the delivery in the morning for me. I told him I was not lying as my brother was there too.
So next morning at 8 am i called the number on my order to see if they can help. I explained my situation to the receptionist and she asked if i had ordered my Fridge from Home Depot and that Home Depot should have been honest with me about the delivery at the time when i ordered my Fridge and that she is sorry she couldn't help but hope that it could be delivered before 2pm.
The delivery did not come till 2.30pm and when i looked at it I realized the door was opened to the wrong side and i had pay $25 plus taxes for the door swing. When i told the delivery guys that the door was right and i had paid for the door swing, he insisted at first that i did not pay for the door swing and is not shown on his computer and that the $25 plus taxes i paid was for hall-away ( which i did too) . I said i could go up to my condo and bring the invoice to show him but he said " listen, i do what is shown on my computer here and you did not pay for the door swing" i said i did and i have the invoice and then he took a second look and realized i did pay for the door swing. with no apology they just laid the fridge flat on the concrete floor with no protective under the fridge and start undo the door . They even wanted to put the brand shiny new fridge door on the concrete but i stopped him and he then asked me to carry the door on my arms while they are taking out other screws and fixing them on the right side. It is heart breaking to see my New fridge was treated so roughly on the concrete floor and yet they were asking me for tips for their poor services and manner.
Took the fridge up to my condo and they were rushing me to sign the delivery as they needed to rush and i did and only realized then that there was a minor dent like half the circle on the back of the fridge .
First the sales girl " Nigar" was not honest with the delivery time but she just wanted to make the sale.
By the time all this was done with I was too late for my doctor appointment all due to Home Depot store's dishonesty.

Home Depot bathtub delivery

I purchased a tub & side walls on March 30th & I'm still waiting for delivery. First they told us we could pick up in store on 4/2. We went, no tub. Then they said by the 6th. We called the 8th, still no tub. They apologized, offered free shipping, to be delivered around 4/24. We call the 24th, again apologies that the side walls did Not come in with the tub. Side walls wouldn't be in for 2-3 more weeks. They then rescheduled delivery for May 15 for a buffer zone to maintain time guaranty. Granted the the previous 24th was a buffered time guaranty too. So today is the 15th & still no tub! Somthing about the truck left to late. What a joke! I will never shop through home depot again, & I will discouage others from shopping there as well. Home depot has been a horrible experience. Some sort of compensation would be nice for the terrible inconvenience to our remodel timeline, awful communication between multiple staff & customer, & poor customer service. This is at the Roseburg Or store.

Home Depot windows well broken and then reordered and broken

I placed an order for replacement windows on April 5th 2018. When picking them up over 3 weeks later they were broken. I did not accept them. I was told they would be reordered. Today May 15th 2018 I went to pick up the reordered windows. And was tried to be given the same broken windows from the previous month. Home Depot customer parking

I use the home depot #453.

This store has certain employees who park their private vehicles in the very first spot, closest to the store. This deprives customers the ability to park close for an entire shift. The employee in this case drives a blue spider style motorcycle.

I have complained by phone to the store manager twice with no results.

I am disabled and sometimes the disabled spots are full. This forces me to walk further. But even if I was not disabled I would complain.

Now I have two complaints. One about the parking and one about the matter not being handled by the store manager.

You are not the only game in town. Just the closest. I can easily take my business elsewhere. The most important thing a company can have is customers but that seems lost upon the store manager and his employees.

Close up parking should be reserved for customers, even if the employee is shopping.

This has been on going for several months. I yelped the store and also filled out a less than glowing review on another site but apparently that was not read or was ignored.

Please take care of this. Your company is not putting it's best foot forward.

Home Depot kitchen cabinets

I contracted for #12, 000 worth of kitchen cabinets to be refaced during the week of 4/9 - 4/13.This contract was signed on 1/24/2018. The first day was wonderful. The local store was enthusiastic. The contractors from 3 hours away were competent. However, no one contacted me throughout the ordeal which has lasted until now, May 9, 2018 so far. I contracted for while I was on spring break from teaching for a job I was told would take three-four days. It is now May and I have pictures of the disastrous work that has been done. I did not hear directly from the project manager until I went to my local HOME DEPOT in Ranson, WV for help. They promised to check into things. My only contact for the job was a person who would call me for appointments and simply said "I understand" to everything I complained about. He knew nothing. I found out later he was 22 yrs. old.
I have paid plumbers 3 times to come in and take apart my kitchen sink because of the measurement errors that have taken place. I have had to do dishes in my bathroom for weeks because the order was incorrect. I have pictures of cabinets which were ordered and put on upside down. I have hosted two family events and now a funeral this weekend of a family member. I will tell them who did the work!
I am requesting a partial refund, payment of plumber (several - which the project manager has agreed to do). I don't feel I have received $12, 000 worth of quality work. I am a widow, college prof, and have never spent this kind of money on a project for myself.
I have gashes in my walls and I am told that's normal. There are separations between my countertop and the one they put on top of it. I am told they can't take care of the paint job necessary to cover up the plastering. "That's somebody else's responsibility". ONly two of the three sides of the countertop are beveled. Why wasn't I told anything ahead of time?
I will never contract HOMEDEPOT ( which I have always loved and spent money on French doors, etc) to do anything again. Things are still not corrected, and I am told no refund is possible since I signed a contract and wrote a check in full. I was told that's all I could do. Now I"m told I could have gotten a credit card and withold. Too late now to know that. I wasn't told that in the beginning. Yes, I signed a contract. I used to have complete faith and trust in HOMEDEPOT's work. no more.
I am so very sad. I have had two family gatherings and a funerl this week here. This is disgraceful. I should be compensated for 2 months of expenses, inconvenience, and shabby work.
I am very disappointed and will not do anything with HOMEDEPOT again except perhaps buy a light bulb there.

My contract number is: 5311719

Home Depot bathroom floor

From the beginning it wasn't handled properly. I went to Hamilton mill Dacula store to schedule a measurement for my floor. Waited for him to come on a Saturday never showed up come to find out the order wasn't submitted ... installer show up not enough wood to complete the job .. was told it would be $512.00 more dollars for something to put on the floor .. they couldn't reconnect my commodes for 2 more days after job was half done .. got a phone call 6 or 7 days later to tell me my wood was in and that the installer would be calling me to come finish the job .. made appt for Wednesday... Home Depot just called me this morning and told me I had to come pick up my wood if I wanted it laid on Wednesday.. why wasn't I told that when they called me to tell me wood was there for the INSTALLER. I have talked to Charlie his attitude was like oh well it's life ..talked to Nick his attitude was crap happens .. no care or concerns at all .. I just went through this with Home Depot about 18 months ago with my carpet I have spent over 8000.00 in
Your store within 18 months .. and nobody cares .. how sad ..
