Home Depot your vigoro potting mix contaminated with squash borer eggs that killed my squash plants

Beginning of the summer I purchased 4 large bags of Vigoro mix and used them in my "grow boxes" which held squash plants. The squash vines were infested with squash borer insect which killed the plants (6) of them.

A careful examination of the reaming potting mix in the Vigoro bag showed small round transparent to yellowish balls the size of a "Beebe ", some larger.
These eggs were also in the grow boxes. It appears larvae came out of these eggs to infest and kill my vines. I am requesting full restitution. I have a remaining bag and pictures on my smart phone to back up my claim. I do not know how to upload the pictures from the smartphone, but will text them to you if desired.

Home Depot ryobi lawn mower, battery operated

I bought a new lawn mower at home depot, Middletown, RI on 6/30/17. It took iver 2 weeks to get it. I used it twice and it no longer worked so i called the company that is shown on the Ryobi website . I brought it up there on August 19th and finally talked to them today. Apparently it needs, a new engine, control panel, etc. They cannot get the parts as they are not available because it's a new model. I am very upset about this. I only used it 2 times. I think home depot should replace it as I obviously got a lemon. I also took out a home depot credit card. I still owe a balance on it as I have only made one payment. I would appreciate hearing from someone regarding this matter

Home Depot ice maker installation

Purchased Maytag refrigerator Model # MRT118FFFZ01 from Home Depot #4110, 1731 Crossing Drive, Reading, Pa 19610. Was delivered by Home Depot #4110 on July 31, 2017. The ice maker that was to be installed upon delivery was the wrong ice maker. So, they had the correct ice maker shipped to our home and told us, we could install it as it was easy. Well upon looking at it upon receipt, we called and requested Home Depot Install. The ice maker was installed on August 22, 2017 by someone Home Depot sent. On 8/29/2017.. we noticed that there was a block of frozen water in bottom of ice cube bin. We thought it was just that we did not have the bin pushed back all the way. Well the next night we noticed that there was frozen water on the floor of the freezer under the ice cube bin. So every night since we have been chipping the frozen water out and it is frozen again by the next morning. We also noticed that there is ice on the back wall of freezer where vents are and icicles on the freezer shelf. When you look back where the water comes into the ice maker, it appears that the hose that distributes the water into the ice maker is not positioned properly and the water is running down the back wall of freezer in addition to it going into ice maker. The ice maker is making ice, but not as much as it should be due to this problem.

A second problem is that foods are freezing on the 2 nd and 3 rd shelves of refrigerator But not on the top shelf. I had eggs in the carton that were closest to the back of refrigerator freeze solid, yogurt, and whole hard boiled eggs in container near the door.

Home Depot customer service in the plumbing department on 7/31/17

I was in the Meridian Idaho store on Meridian road at 6 am. I needed to find a part to fix a leak in my master bathroom shower. I had a picture of a part similar to the one I was replacing. I need a shower valve and was not aware I would need to buy a whole shower kit with knob and all the part in the kit. I asked a nice lady in plumbing for assistance. She tried to help but was also unaware I needed to purchase the whole kit. She stated the the gentle man I plumbing was just getting there and he would be able to help me. I was informed that he was a trained and experienced plumber. I told the man what I needed. He stated that I needed a different part. He also informed me that the leak could not possibly be coming from that valve and it must be from somewhere else. I did not continue to argue this. as I had seen it, knew I was right, and it didn't matter if he believed me as long as I ended up getting what I needed. I then re explaind that I felt I needed to only remove a section of the wall and he let me know that I would need to rip out a whole wall. I acknowledged that I needed to rip out a section and I waned to rip out the tile rather than you going through my closet. He disagreeded with me and explained how that is harder due to needing to match tile. I tried to explain that it would be easier as I am much better with tile than sheetrock texture and shelving. He disagreed and told me I was wrong and should call a plumber. He informed me that he has known plumbers that have taken 3 days to so this repair and that I wasn't qualified. I explained that though I had never done it before I felt confidant I my abilities to get it done. He started to argue with me and contuinued to tell me that my plan would not work and that I would end up needing a plumber anyway. I asked him to show me where the kits where and he hurried over to them and stated that there where many options but since I didn't know what was behind the wall I didn't have enough information to purchase. I explained for the second time the the handle was removed and I could see enough of the plumbing to see the leak and know what type of pipes I had. I also tried to explaine again that I indertlstood I needed to remove more of the wall but removing the whole wall would not be nesseccary. At this point the employee got visibly upset, started to raise his voice and informed me that he was a trained plumber and knew more about this situation than I did. I understand that being formally educated in a skill diffinatly makes him the expert but he had not seen inside my wall and had not seen the leak. As a nure I would not tell a patient with a normal blood pressure reading that when they took it at home the number was wrong and that they were not qualified to manage their care because they did not go to nursing school. No they are the best resource to identify what they need just as the homeowner is the best resourse on what type of plumbing is in thier home an what the problem they saw was. I asked for the cheapest kit that had a valve similar to the picture I showed him. He grabbed one and handed it to me. I was so frustrated I didn't care what it looked like or what the price compared to others was. I think it is important to keep in mind here that since I was replacing the entire kit and surounding pipes it didnt matter if it was like the one I previously had but I felt that was easire than spend more time listening to him trying to convince me that I was in capable of the repair. We then went to the pipe section and he asked what my plan was. I told him I planned to use pex and shark bite connectors. He started grabbing items and dropping them on the floor at my feet. Than he very quickly told me how to use the connectors. I thanked him so that he would leave me to decide what I really needed and he walked off leaving more than 20 items on the floor. Additionally my neck was hurt and I did not have much range of motion to turn my head or look down. I understad he did not know this but I am sure ypu can see how this increased the difficulty for. me to get my items as I now had to pick them up from ground level. I also. had a shopping cart that was right next to where he dropped the items. He very easily could have laied the items out in the bottom. Of the cart as it was empty. I picked up the items and put half of them back. I did not want to. leave them o the floor for other costumers to trip over. He had given me twice as much stuff as I would need as I would need. I checked out and went home. I demoed a little larger than a 1 square foot area fixed the plumbing. I realized half way through I graves 2 more straight connectors than I needed and I need to get 2 more 90 degree connectors. As I was I the store hoping to avoid the man in plumbing I watched as he helped 2 men. His tone of voice was much friendlier and he handed th am the items and help them place items I their cart. I purchased my items went home and fixes the plumbing in 2 hours. I then was able to replace the concret board and tiles. The project was complete grout and all by the time I went to bed. I was very upset at how rudly I was treated. I feel like for a do it yourself store that should be promoted and telling me I can't so it and should call a plumber goes against what home depot advertise and claims to support. Additionally as a woman it is difficult in a building store do to the fact that the majority of people have an unconscious bias about a womans ability to fix things around the home. As a person aware of this bias I try to not let the little thing bother me. Unfortunately it has been over a month since the encounter. I did not report it immedeatly as I did not want the anger I was feeling to cloud the message I still am upset with the way I was treated. I feel like treating customers this way is inexcusable. I also feel that not having completed a task before is not a reason to tell someone that they should hire a professional and discourage them from learning new skills. If that were the case home depot would not have much business. Would he tell a person who has never painted a room that since they have never used a roller they should hire a painter. Yes, this project was much more complicated but I had done my reading and research, had a plan, and felt confident in my ability to to the task. I have been shopping at home depot for 20 years and the thought of going back and risk being treated disrespectfully and inferior as a person sickens me and I would rather drive 10 miles out of the way to avoid the experience of running into him again. I included the picture of the completed and leak free plumbing that I was able to complete in much less time than three days. By the way I also had time to work a few hours that day and run an errand with my daughter. The plumber would have cost me an additional $250.00 and I would not have been able to have the leak fixed and my water back on as quickly as I did.

Home Depot customer service

I've been a customer for years at the location on Portwashington Rd., I've never been so disgusted by such unprofessionalism ever. A cashier doing returns had the worst attitude, ever! Her name is Kanika. It's associates like that that give me reasons to shop elsewhere. Worst customer service ever. I've made the decision to shop at another retailer.

Home Depot weed trimmer

Purchased "new" EGO 56V weed trimmer yesterday (8/31/17) at Home Depot in Mentor, OH. Got home and started to assembly it and found the guard covered with grass. Obviously this unit had been used and returned and put back on the shelf. I returned it and asked to speak with a manager. The lady taking care of me called a manager who only said they would give me a new trimmer but did not come out to talk with me. I explained that if that was the case, I would take my credit and do my complaining online. She said nothing. I have read that this is not the first time someone has received a used item that was sold as new. I however, will not not be shopping at Home Depot again.

Home Depot stove purchased july 4,2017

Hello I purchased a Whirlpool Refrigerator, Stove, and Microwave on July 4th, 2017.

Model and serial numbers of all products purchased.

WFE540H0ESO R71166097
WMH73521CS-6 TR 7 07 12529
WRT519SZDM02 VS72153818

Product was delivered on July 8th, 2017.

Yesterday I woke up and my whole stove did not work.

I called and they are saying some Electric issue as that is what the code says. It is a holiday weekend and now I will have nothing to cook on. I am told no one can even come to view my product until September 5, 2017.

I am appalled that a brand new product can have issues and the response that I get back from you is oh well it happens. I will never buy from Home Depot again and will be seeing you in small claims court!

I have a family and we cannot afford to eat out for the next 5 days, This has put a hardship on me that I cant even express.

I do not want any of the products I have bought from you if this is the service I am going to get.

Please advise if I can return all items, or if I can be compensated for the hardship my family will endure for the next 5 days.

Home Depot h0632-66798 store: foster city, dept: doors and windows

Dear Sir/Madam

My wife and I visited Home Depot in Foster City several times in the month of July 2017. After several visits, we purchased a glass patio door and the labor services for installation via order # H0632-66798 on Aug 10 th, 2017. We compared several quotes from other vendors and decided to go with Home Depot as this was in our budget. After three weeks, today, on Aug 30, 2017, we were delivered the glass door. On calling Home Depot in Foster City, CA to schedule our installation service, I am informed that the labor was incorrectly charged as the sales associate who filled the order was new. I am being asked to pay an additional $600 or so and Home Depot will not schedule my installation until I pay that. I feel cheated by this and refuse to pay as in good faith, Home Depot provided the quote for which we paid in full . I am told the store manager is Steve Hurley and I expect to be called right away and that Home Depot will take care of the additional cost as this was a mistake on your end not mine.

Please look into this at your earliest and please have someone senior in the management chain call me at [removed]

Thanks

Home Depot I had enough

I went there 4 times trying to buy a fridge. Nobody helped me at all. On the 5th time, I bought it finally and needed to wait for their call within 24h regarding delivery. Nobody phoned me. So I did it. I was said that everything is under control and I had to wait for their call in the evening. Nobody called me. I had nothing to do but to cancel my order. Never again I will shop there. Simply awful.

Home Depot consumer credit card dept

I was at Home Depot about 3 weeks ago and purchased several items totaling roughly $500.00. An employee suggested I apply for a Home Depot credit card and get 10 percent off. Biggest mistake! Seeing that the employee that I handed my licence to, is still on the phone 1 hour later, and pressed for time, I asked her if there was a problem. I then informed her that I needed to leave and asked for my license back. I was not willing or able to give up hours of my time for 10 percent off the bill. The information obtained by the illiterate person on the other end of the phone was butchered in such a way that even with a credit score of 800+ I was denied a credit card. The reasons we're as follows: They were unable to verify my identity even with my license in hand. My address was different than the one on file with a credit reporting agency. Also, they were unable to verify my date of birth. I currently have more cards then I know what to do with, with credit lines up to 30 thousand dollars, and Home Depot withholds their card. If they were unable to verify the information needed with license in hand, I say incompetence is running rampant in their consumer Credit Dept, and I for one will never again step foot in a Home Depot again. Don't care to deal with idiots!

Home Depot rebate offer on paint

We bought $796 (Canadian) of paint from Home Depot because of a promised 40% limited time rebate.

We filled in the rebate claim on their web site (which is time consuming and very detailed) using the product codes and quantities and prices on the sales slip.

Their system accepted each line item. And after 1 hour we completed and filed the rebate claim along with a scanned copy of the receipt expecting a cheque in the mail for the rebate which would have amounted to $240 Cdn. as their rebate web site did not accept some of the paint items we purchased for some reason. By the way we were encouraged to purchase these additional items by the sales clerk as they would be rebateable! But let that slide.

After two weeks I received the following e-mail denying our claim:

Home Depot online customer service price match

I have had multiple email exchanges with HD online about a Lowe's appliance price match. First, I was told I couldn't have a price match bc I didn't meet criteria. I did all the legwork for these exchanges, and proceeded to prove them wrong. After the 3-4th exchange, they admitted they were wrong and offered 10% for next purchase(w/no link, code or way to use 10%). I have been a loyal HD CREDIT CARD customer >12yrs. I have since placed my order with Lowe's and will cancel my HD card. Poor, poor customer support resulting in loss of revenue from my family.

Home Depot siding installation

The fact that I am writing a review about Home Depot siding installation before ANY work has been done on my house should tell any potential buyers to BEWARE! After I signed the contract, the sales associate Benjamin came back and said the Hardie window trim color we had selected didn't exist. The only way to match the siding color to the rest of our house would be to spend extra time and money to paint the trim ourselves. Then their contractor told us they couldn't replace the bottom half of the window trim because it jutted out, with no adjustment being made to the price to reflect that. I requested that the fascia I had originally requested be removed from the order since they couldn't get us the right replacement color. Then today the sales associate came back and told us we would have to pay the same price we were originally paying because, surprise! they measured wrong and need an extra square of siding! And then the change order request he gave us to sign had the wrong color written on it AGAIN! NEVER AGAIN!

Home Depot custom exterior and fire rated dooes

I was just informed that my order placed through Home Depot with your company on July 27th that SHOULD have been delivered by (originally) August 4th and has been delayed TWICE since then, now won't arrive until potentially September 1st?!? Now because of delays caused by your company, my small business is paying dearly! We have had contractors waiting to install other materials because the doors we ordered from you have been delayed. From one business to another, you certainly should understand that time is money, and we are paying dearly at the moment for your mistakes. To top it all off, because we have had holes in our building waiting for doors that never arrived, we now are in need of an exterminator. The problems caused by your backorder situation just keep coming. We certainly won't be ordering other materials from your company.

Home Depot customer service

I was appalled by a recent encounter with one of your employees - someone I hope whom is not representative of your company. When you hear what transpired, I am sure you will agree.
When I visited your Home Depot location in Vauxhall NJ to return a rug I had purchased. After waiting over 20 minutes with the line that was out the door due to the computer system being slow. I approached the counter to employee name tag read Yakidah whom was very pleasant, patient, and apologetic. An employee whose name tag read "Laneisha." Laneisha came to returns and check to see which customer had one item walked him in where the employees ONLY enter, Yakidah politely ask the man not to enter its for employees only and Laneisha yelled at the poor girl “ HE CAN COME THAT WAY CAUSE I SAID SO! AND WHAT ARE GOING TO DO? NOTHING. I was appalled by the all the obscene language. After assisting that one customer Yakidah asked Laneisha to help her due to her computer being frozen for 10 minutes and was told no she was not going to help because she did not have to, my question is where’s was customer service in the situation? Furthermore, Laneisha made threats to the young lady by saying she was going to smack the sh*& out Yakidah. The young lady was full of tears and treated unfair and I’m sure Home Depot do not allow this behavior. I was mortified, and I am embarrassed to say that I was so dumbfounded by Laneisha rude behavior that I had to send this complaint. I find it hard to believe that you would knowingly employ such a forgetful, abrasive, and unprofessional clerk.
I don't know how many people she has offended, but I found it so offensive that I don't want to go to the store again.
I have teenagers and if my daughter came home with this story I would go to the police and report her for making threats to harm my child.
I have no idea what has happened to fix this issue but some people don’t need to work in the public eye. I also think the young lady Yakidah deserve an apology for how she was treated. I look forward to hearing from you within the next week.

Sincerely,

Marie Lee

Home Depot service turned out to be horrible.

I called on the 17th of August to get my washer repaired. A date was set for Thursday the 24th of August and Wednesday we were supposed to get a call from the LG Service Center, but didn't.

We called on the Wednesday 23rd of August, and was told our date was set for the Friday the 25th, I argued and argued with the rep. We set up appointments for my kids dental and medical for school for the 25th.

My wife has already missed 1 appointment because of this screw up. We have 5 kids so you can imagine our frustration with the incompetency of the warranty service center.

When I spoke with the warranty service rep he said he would note it in the system that I have already did everything the service manual said to do. I told the rep that I trouble shot it down to a bad pump. He said he would note that.

LG service rep comes in and does the same crap I've already done in accordance with the customer service manual. After 30 mins he tells me he has trouble shot it down to a bad pump and won't have the part till Tuesday. I could understand if, I was wrong on my diagnosis. But at least have the part that could possibly bad causing the water not to drain. Especially after I trouble shot it and gave a clear explanation of how I drained the water from the washer.

2 damn weeks?! To fix this?! Why didn't they come over to my home with a replacement part from LG?

I'm a very patient person, but issues like this frustrates the hell out of me. The company that Home Depot contracts with for warranties needs to get their business straight. This is not the first time I've had issues with the warranty side of Home Depot.

Home Depot garage door installation by the home depot

I purchased and got a new garage door installed with weather seal in August 2016. 49 mice later I had to hired a third party contractor to fix the door because you and your third party contractor, Adams Door, wouldn't take responsibility of the terrible installation.

I got my first mouse in October and took me until Christmas to figure it out. The installer left between 1 -1.5 mm of space between the door and weather seal. In January, they sent the same third party contractor back to fix the door. He moved the weather seal, fixed a roller which came out of the track and told me I had to oil the track (complained about the noise - made a loud banging noise). In March, the mice never stopped. Home Depot sent an expert. He made adjustments to the door and said the mice were already inside between the wall and dry wall and just to catch them (or remove the dry wall). Bought more trap (at Home Depot) but in June and July I caught more mice after some bad weather. Again I contacted Home Depot, but the person handling my case ignored my phone and email messages.

I couldn't take it so I hired a third party contractor (who handle our industrial doors at work). He said the door was installed incorrectly- the door was actually hitting the track every time it was opened or closed and now I have an indent on the top of my door from the track. He tried to fix the door so it didn't hit the track and get me the seal but because the track was installed too far away from the wall, I need to replace the weather seal with wider stuff. The said the mice were able to get in at the edge, between the bottom seal - wasn't sealing properly.

The experience was horrible. I've lived here for 17 years with no mice and with the new door I had to deal with 49 mice which isn't pleasant. Your expert didn't even see the door hitting the track and instead told me it was my issue as the damage was done. I think the customer service tried to help until March but after that, ignored me. What is worse, I kept buying all of my mice fighting supplies from you.

Your company did not stand behind your product (which includes your third party contractors). They are a direct reflection on your company's policies and procedures. Of course, I will mention my experience as much as possible so some else doesn't live this mice issue.
