Hilton Walt Disney World Resort Hotel / Allows employees to steal from guests

I had a pair of diamond earrings stolen by the house keepers at the hilton in disney. The worst part is the hotel would not even allow the police to interview the employees who had been in my room without a warrant. This is a problem because the employees were still there and i would have had at least some chance of recovering my property if the police were allowed to do their jobs that day. Hilton is basically telling it's employees that it is perfectly ok to take anything you can get your hands on we wont even allow the police to talk to you that day. Consider it a bonus for working for hilton. If you need a great paying job it seems that you should give housekeeping at the hilton in orlando a try. It's like a cash cow.

Problem is with hotels, the hotel releases it's liability for theft to the guests when you check in. That's why hotels provide safety deposit boxes either in the rooms or at the front desk. If you have something valuable put it in there, then the hotel will be held liable if something comes up missing. This is why the police didn't interview the housekeeper that cleaned your room. YOU RELEASED YOUR LIABILITY YOU STUPID IDIOT! Be smart when you travel, I work for another hotel and not well travelled individuals feel the hotel should be held liable in the event something comes up missing and automatically jumps to the conclusion that they stole the item. Chances are you misplaced it o0r accidentally dropped the earings down the drain and now this poor housekeeper is being accused of theft. Always check the reviews on a website that offers candid feed back then you'll know if the hotel has a problem with theft, unfortunately this complaint is unwarranted.
