Hertz car rental tyler texas

I reserved a truck for 11/10/2018 to be picked up at 930 am. When I arrived at 935 they didn't have one. So I was informed to come back between 1045 and 1100 in which I did. Upon my return I still didn't get a vehicle until 1140 the vehicle I was given smelled like cigarette smoke and it looked like someone personal vehicle. I have rented from your company a lot and this is the worst service I have ever had. I reserved a truck for 930 and I didn't get it until 1140.

Hertz other cleaning fee

Well, I picked up my vehicle in good condition yesterday morning. Drove on a buisness trip and return the vehicle last night in the same condition. I dropped my keys off at the front desk of the Marriott. That is what i was told to do. Received my receipt this morning and it had a other cleaning fee on it of 400 dollars. They proceded to tell me that it had a presence of smoke and a ashes in the car. Being that i didnt smoke in the car, I was very upset with this charge. I told them i would like proof. I asked for pictures of the ashes in the car since they were trying to charge a fee. They stated there were no pictures taken. After dropping this car off in the same condition as when i poicked it up leaving the keys with someone other than Hertz and no pictures of these so called ashes left in the vehicle. This fee should not be charged to me. Our company uses Hertz to rent their cars all the time and have never had this issue arise. Please advise on how to help handle this issue since there were no pictures of what they state and i didnt smoke in this vehicle.

Hertz my reservation denied... on site san juan airport...

RESERVATION # H8282355860   october 23, 2018 dated...

Please be advised that this morning at 3 am my time Steven Jurus went to obtain his vehicle that he reserved since 102318

I am furious...We have a capital one card with a chip in it...your representative on site swiped the card instead of using chip reader which first of all flagged my account...secondly i was woked up to deal with this nonsense...Capital one told me to tell him to mannual enter card info if no chip reader was available on site...HE REFUSED>...leaving steven stranded in san juan with no vehicle I am NEVER going to use Hertz Rental again for any of my trips...I'm beyond mad at this point...he had to obtain a car on site from one of your competators and i will use them in the future...   his reservation # H8282355860 since october 23rd which was on reserve with the same card he tRIED to use...in april we had same problem but NOT correct vehicle reserved...NEVER again...

Hertz broken credit card machine

On Sunday evening, , about 9:30 PM November 4th, 2018, my employee, Robert Johnson went to pick up the Hertz car that was ordered at the Midway International Airport, Chicago.
The credit card machine was broken, and the woman behind the counter told Robert she could not rent him a car. He asked her to just tap in the credit card numbers, but she was not allow to.
The Hertz car was a Hotwire rental, and cost $273.00
He walked over to Enterprise and got a car and the charge ( he was a walk in), is $632.27
How can an auto rental counter only have one machine?
Their inadequacies cost me almost $400.00.
I want an answer to this foul-up on Hertz part.

Prepaid for my car on October 31st one week prior to rental. Went to pick it up today (November 7 2018) and was told no cars were available and that someone was supposed to call me. When asked for the manager was told he was in Ireland and they couldn't get a hold of them. I called Hertz customer service and was initially told they couldn't do nothing. Continued asking for manager after manager to speak to. They tried to get me a new car at another location but where going to charge me an additional $105. What type of gimmick is this and so much for honoring your rate. It was not my fault it was Hertz's fault. From reading all the other complaints I se I am not alone. I would recommend never to rent a car from Hertz worst experience in customer service I ever experienced.

Hertz retail sales contract

After I received a copy of the purchase documents I realized that the Hertz retail sales agreement contained a charge of $820 for a "Debt Cancellation/Total Loss Protection" agreement. We had previous declined any additional products & services other that the dealer warranty for the vehicle. I called Hertz Costa Mesa and talked to Mr. Arkin who at first said he would remove the $820 change and send me a corrected copy to sign. When I did not hear from him I called him again. He told me he was not going to send me a corrected copy of the retail installment sale contract because it would cost him an additional $45 to FedEx the documents to me. He told me to sign the original documents or he would cancel the sale of the car to us. He also told me that if I signed the original documents he would have the $820 charge credited to the Installment loan. I signed the original documents and FedEx them to Mr. Arkin.

I have called/emailed Mr. Arkin several times over the last month and he said he would get the loan credited. On Oct 15, 2018 he emailed me a Cancellation Form for the GAP/TLP policy, which I signed and returned to him the same day. It has now been over a month and there has been no credit to the Loan for the $820.

Hertz car rental

I was in car accident. MY insurance called in reservation, FAYETTEVILLE GA location. I pick my rental up on 10/29/2018, vehicle was nice and clean. Next day 10/30/2018 I was called to bring vehicle back for exchange I guess for maintance. Fayetteville location didn't have any more vehicles so I was sent to the Morrow GA location. I was told it was being replace with another SUV, that didn't happen instead we was given a nissian Altima, It was super nasty inside and out. We had to get to work so we didn't have the time to wait another hour. We get to work open up trunk and find someones whole bag of garbage on top of car being dirty. Then a tire pressure light pops on and its past the date of oil change. This is very very bad customer service,

I rented from Hertz in West Valley City Utah I originally had reserved it for 3 1/2 weeks I was keeping it longer.my son and u only had been able to see or hang out in the rental car.everything in my power of trying to build credit to purchase my own vehicle I've been divorced 20 years.i had spoken to the associate, the car was very lare being returned.i do recieve social security disability benifets at the time 16 months in total id been receiving benifits.. I went to a job interview I was homeless at the time staying at my x husband and sons home, police knocked on door and arrested me for thieft of a rental vehicle the local police had driven back to the local Hertz offuce.i went to jail 72 hours 3 days no charges were filed I was released.90 days later I was residing in the back of a vehicle and called the police to only assist me in going to my mother's address to pick up mail.she dont get my life style.im a great woman and very sweet daughter.she is a lucky mom.but police come arrest me again for the same theft of a rental vehicle I was not transported to a court date for a protective order retained buy my mother and a police precuent was at that matter and not 1 time was a police number or case number gaven.i was asked to come back at later time.i sat in jail for 21 days before it was dismissed without prejiduce.i was facing 0 to 5 years and left my debit card phone number address and I'm from this city born n raised never been in trouble 1 time 9 years earlier.but huge I missed court date have to wait 4 years to speak to my children.or hire attorney. It damaged me.and with the mental illness I suffer jail was the last thing I needed.

we took our car on april 17 2018 and return it on may 1st 2018. At Naples Airport

Hertz refund incomplete

My name is Virginia Arehart. I rented the last car they had here in Myrtle Beach sc to attend a funeral in Va. I drove the car across the street. Realized it hadto many blind spots for me. I turned around and returned the car within 10 minutes. The man at the desk told me I would get a full refund within 5 working days. I am on disability that was all the money I had. My money never came. I was devistated. I called and called. I was crying once and the lady said I was being rude and hung up on me. My bank disputed the charges and paid my account pending the out come. Well you paid 280 something. The car was 334.36. Now my account is in the negative $71.16. I have never been in the negative. Due to this I cannot even buy my medicine. Your rep told me there were no charges I would get all my money. If we cannot fix this I have no choice. I have to try the Better buusness people. This has caused me so much worry. You see after my rent I only have $150.00 to luve the month. When they take the $71.16 from that I will be in a mess. Please help me.

Hertz rental fee pre-paid with an confirmation number but no car available when we arrived at the store

Oct. 1, 21018, we booked a car from Hertz located at 17610 102 Avenue, Edmonton, AB. We paid in advance and got an confirmation number (H80604822A6). When we arrived at time (Oct. 16, 2018 before 6pm), we were told that there was no car available. The front desk people did not apologize or give any reasonable solution. Also, we received no call or email to inform us this issue until we came to the front desk. Because of your problem, we missed our last trip in Canada. This happened so unexpected and By the time it was way too late to book another car with another company and this destroyed our plan. We missed the deadline of canceling the hotel booking at Ins of Banff. The hotel charged us $98. This is totally unacceptable and we won't book Hertz any more. We demand a formal apologize and a compensation of our hotel fee.

Hertz rental agreement

Failure to disclose all information at the time I was signing the paperwork. Was just informed that I had to authorize a full payment of the rental car on top of the security deposit. I will never rent from your company again. I was told that when I rented the vehicle only needed an initial security deposit of $250. The car provided was not cleaned correctly. Found all kinds of scratches and scuffs. Residue from when the car was buffed.

Hertz customer service

I was harassed and bullied by your employee Tre whom interrupted a conversation I was having with my husband regarding something I was told by another employee. He was commenting and I didn't realize he was talking to me since he had his cell to his ear. I turned away and he said "alright just walk away" I turned and apologized I didn't know he was speaking to me and his response was "whatever go ahead and act like a victim" I again told him I didn't realize he was talking to me and that I was just turning to put my stuff on the table. He said again "whatever" and hand gestures for me to go away. I questioned him immediately on his behavior and he just began arguing with me over NOTHING! Completely rude. I'm still confused as to what was going on with him that he took his frustrations out on me. But I'm a customer, I have a right to ask questions regarding information that was given to me. Why he was interrupting my conversation with my husband is still a mystery but I was not rude and told him I was listening to him once I realized he was. He has a major chip on his shoulders and him calling me a victim under such unusual circumstances really makes me feel like this was racial. I'm extremely upset and have no time to be sitting here filing this complaint. I was completely treated innappropriately and with such horrible customer service. I'm going through an insurance claim but will never use Hertz again.

Hertz rental had all kinds of lights come on

I called the hertz dealer this am regarding the lights coming on. Mind you I am 35 weeks pregnant with twins. I picked up the rental 10/15/18 because I had been involved in an accident. They made me drive the unsafe vehicle back to them in order to swap it out for another one. When I get there at noon, the manager Margarita informed me it would cost me more money because they didn't have another vehicle in the price range I was currently renting, after having 5 hours to get one for me and me being told they would have one when I got there. I am very dissatisfied with Hertz. This is very unprofessional I should have been comped the rental at my current rate. It is not my fault you did not have a vehicle in my price range and I am sure they had plenty of time to have one transferred from another facility. Please call me at [protected] to try to clear up this matter.

Hertz car rental

i rented a car from hertz, rabat, morocco.
they stole my deposit money and it has been 6 weeks now since i returned the car and they are ignoring my calls, messages and emails. i am so furious! the car was returned with some damages and i requested a damage report to claim the money from my insurance company..but hertz is not complying!

Hertz credit points to frequent flyer program

Hello,

I had a Hertz rental last summer in Belgium No. H7203170239 from July 29 to August 21st, 2018 for a total of 507.75 Euros. At the reservation and at the return I made sure that points related to such a reservation will be credited to my frequent flyer account on Kuwait Airways (Oasis) No. [protected].
So far I dont' see any trace to these points on the account.

Hertz insensitivity issues/ offensive

From the very moment of walking into the location I was greeted as though I was hindering the associate from taking her break. The only vehicles they could provide me at this location were two very large trucks. I stated that I do not desire a truck because they make me very uncomfortable to drive. She then says " I'm not vertically challenged but can understand not wanting a big truck." I may be short in stature but I am in no way, shape, or form challenged. I am extremely OFFENDED. I believe she needs sensitivity training.

Hertz rental car

Hello,
This is Carmesha Mix and I have rented a car from hertz for over three month through Krieger ford. I dropped the car off today and the manger says the tank isn't full. It's been an issue since I got the rental. Management at hertz told me I would no long be able to rent. I feel like that's wrong. If you could give me a call reguarding my issue at [protected]. Hertz Car rental charges

I wrote a long complaint & pressed submit. It all disappeared! Here I go again!
Grrrrrrrr!

We booked a car with Hertz through Hotwire to be picked up on Sept. 19th for 4 days in Edinburgh, Scotland. Our rental agreement number was #[protected]. We picked it up around 6:00 pm & drove about 2 hours when a tire blew out. There was NO spare tire----only a rim with NO tire in the trunk!
We finally got in contact with Hertz emergency service & they said they would be there in less than a half hour. We were on a very busy motorway south of Glasgow. Over 2 hours later the wrecker arrived taking the car to our motel to then pick it up in the morning to take it to another town to repair the tire. We arrived at our motel around midnight.
A new tire had to be ordered. Hertz would not bring us another car so that we could continue on with our vacation. We sat in the motel room all day waiting----losing a FULL day. We than had to hire a taxi for 15 British pounds to go get the car!
We than went onto the part of Scotland where my Grandfather grew up. But because of losing a whole days worth of travel, we got back to Edinburgh about 2 hours later then when the car was to be returned to the airport. It was dark & so we decided to return the car at 5:30 am when we had to fly out rather than battle a strange & large city late evening. There were no numbers of where to call regarding this whole matter.
Hertz immediately charged our credit card $185.70 for being one day late! (We were less that 12 hrs. late according to contract.)

I called them after returning home & was told that nothing could be done regarding losing a FULL day of use of the car, the taxi expense or the (outrageous) one day late fee! The person I spoke to was very short with me & said it was "company policy" & there was NOTHING that could be done about it all! She said it was because we had booked it on line through Hotwire! I called again, spoke to someone else who also "blew" me off! Not their problem!
It was the fault of their car not having good reliable tires plus not having a spare tire due to someone's oversight that we lost a valuable full day of our limited 4 day trip from Wisconsin to Scotland to visit our ancestors heritage. This should not happen to anyone---any where!

My third call was to a woman named Angela who empathized with my story & did manage to get half of the late day fee reimbursed. She said that was all that she could do & that the customer relations would not address any more of the issues. It seems they could care less on what we had to deal with.

In summary: We believe that Hertz should be reimbursing the FULL amount of late fee which would be $92.85 & the taxi cost of $19.85 .
This would be another reimbursement to us for $112.70.
Why should we have to pay any amount for their faulty car & service?
And this doesn't account for the money we paid up front for the day we couldn't use--another $55.81
Hertz was quick to charge for over time---what about the loss of time?
We are really out the $112.70 plus the $55.81
Total: $168.57

We sincerely hope you will address this matter & respectfully clear it up as a reputable car rental company as we had always thought you were. We would prefer to not have to take this any further.

Hertz cars not available and bad service

Hello, my name is Raphael Wolman, and I have 2 complaints.
My Gold # is: [protected].

I had reserved a full size car to be picked up at BWI Airport on Feb/28/18. When I got there I was informed that they had no full-size car for me and I would have to take a Nissan Venza Note, a car so small I cud barely fit into. The manager at the location, a man by the name of Gilbert was extremely annoying and unhelpful, he has a reputation of being very mean as he has always treated me that way. He refused to give me a larger car even though I showed him a few options in the lot. I had explained to them that I needed the car to go out of town early the next morning and needed a full-size car for a few passengers and a lot of luggage. I was told to return the next morning and there would be a car waiting for me. So, after spending 2 hours at Hertz, I got 3 hours of sleep and then returned to the airport. Before I had left I called to confirm that there would be a car for me, but when I got there they told I would have to wait. After 30 minutes of waiting I received a car but they still refused to refund me for the gas I wasted making the extra trip to and from the airport. The whole experience was very very stressful and I was not treated nicely at all. A short while later I wrote them a detailed review and complaint but never got an answer.

I truly hope I will be compensated for this terrible experience and bad service.
(perhaps I can be compensated through Gold Reward Points)

Another experience I had was on July/8/18 when I was scheduled to pick up a full size 7 seater SUV and I even received an email of the spot in the lot where a Nissan Pathfinder was waiting for me. As I was leaving with the car I was informed that I was too young to rent a car that size. This was extremely annoying again because I needed the size badly for travel. I still have no understanding of how a big company like Hertz could provide such bad service where my reservation went through with no trouble and I even received many emails confirming it, only to be denied upon getting there. I was eventually allowed to take a 5 seater SUV but it did not fit all my luggage and realy ruined my trip.
I realy hope I will get compensated for this extremely annoying experience as well.

Hertz unauthorized rental upgrade charge

My husband picked up a car at the Munich airport on August 9th, 2018. The reserved car was not available. he was asked if he wanted a replacement car. He replied: As long it can hold 3 suitcases. He did not check his receipt until he got home. He was charged an additional Euro 300 for an upgrade he did not request.
End of August I called customer service to file a complaint. I was told I would get a reply within 10 working days. No email was received and I called again on September 24th. I was told my claim was rejected but the agent would review it again. Again, I did not receive any email notification. I called again on October 1st and was told I should go to court and file a complaint with the head office in Oklahoma City.
I am requesting a refund in the amount of Euro 200. We got charged for an upgrade when the reserved car was not available.
