Hertz cutting ties with nra

I am disappointed to see Hertz cut ties with the NRA in the aftermath of the Florida shooting.

Every day we see more evidence that our law enforcement failed on numerous occasions to address the shooter prior to and during the shooting. This was a failure at the local and federal level.

We now know that four Broward County deputies refused to enter the building when the shooting was going on - in addition to Peterson.

The script of the FBI phone call by foster parent of the shooter has been released.

In addition, Broward Cty had visited the home 39 times and did not elevate or resolve this problem.

Do not fall for this attack on the NRA. The NRA is the only defender of our 2nd amendment. Your response to this is wrong and does not help our country.

Hertz hertz rental - lie for upcharge

I rented a car from Hertz at Sky Harbor airport in Phoenix, Arizona last Thursday February 15, 2018. I originally requested a standard size vehicle for 4 days from Thursday to Sunday. The representative helping us ask normal questions such as where are you going and what my plans were in Arizona. I explained that I am taking my mom to the Grand Canyon and that we'd be driving through Sedona and Flagstaff. The representative insisted that we get a vehicle with 4 wheel drive. She explained we would not get over the pass without four-wheel drive or a higher vehicle because of all the snow and ice on the road. My mother recently got diagnosed with cancer for the fourth time. She has a few things on her bucket list and I am doing everything in my power to help her accomplish them. One of them was to do a road trip to the Grand Canyon. My mom was not for the upsell. She often traveled to areas that snowed and was certain we would make it in a standard size car. My mom asked directly to the women if the original standard size car would work and she no it will not get over the pass and would struggle on its way to the Grand Canyon. I on the other hand promising her an amazing time there was no way I was going to chance our car not making it. We upgraded the standard size vehicle to a Nissan that had four wheel drive the reps high recommendation. She literally quoted a 2 wheel drive or standard size are will not make it to the Grand Canyon.. I was okay with the upcharge knowing I would be safe going through snow and ice. We got to Flagstaff about 2 hours after leaving Sky Harbor rental to find absolutely no snow. There was no snow no ice to be seen. Because there was no snow and ice on the road a standard size vehicle would have definitely made it. I called the Flagstaff Arizona local hurts to see if I can trade in my upgraded vehicle for the standard vehicle I initially wanted. This took place about 4 hours after leaving the Sky harbor Hertz. The representative at the Flagstaff location explained he would be happy to exchange the vehicles however it would be no credit due to me reserving it at a different store location. When I returned my vehicle on Sunday I explained that we were told we would need this four-wheel drive and in fact did not. I had to catch a flight so was unable to speak to management. I am very disappointed. Hertz is a large reputable company in which I have Reserved several cars from. In the future I will not reserve a car from Hertz as I feel betrayed. I spent an additional $300 - $400 that was unnecessary because of somebody that works for Hertz. This amount may not be a lot too many however for me it is when I could have spent it on something that my dying mother would love. I am a sales manager so I understand upselling and customer service very well. However this is ridiculous. Looking at the yelp reviews for Hertz at this specific location I saw several other people were in fact treaded the same way with the same scenario. Hertz has failed tremendously at this location and due to this I will be sure to never use them again along for business or pleasure. I would a appreciate a response.

Hertz car rental

Rental Record # [protected] Reserved car to be picked up at 3:00pm my flight was delayed 3 hrs due to weather called Hertz told them it would be 7 before I would be there for Car they checked and told me no problem they would be opened. Went to the Hertz rental to get Car at Fort Myers airport counter person told me I had to go to Hertz at the Holiday Inn n there was a shuttle that would take us for free. But there wasn't one I paid for a cab to the Holiday Inn. Cab dropped me off went inside the the Hertz the Hertz office was closed at 5. Had to get another cab back to airport rent a car for the night from enterprise never got to my destination till 12 that night next morning had to return my rental n go pick up the Hertx rental . I spend over 2 hrs in a parking lot at Holiday in trying to make arrangements for a car. I would like Hertz to compensate me for all my inconvenience I lost a whole evening and a hole morning of my vacation because of Hertz car rental Grace Baker [protected].

I was charged 100.00 deposit for smoking in car I don't even smoke this is second time renting from hertz and lost my deposit both times wont go there again I will go to enterprize thy are fair customer comes first

Hertz car rental

5019 14th st w. Bradenton fla.34207 = rented via internet 1/22/2018. was informed 1/23 couldn't pick up before 6 p.m. went to pick up and location was closed @ 6 p.m. picked up 1/24, noted the low tire light was on & was told the temperature change was to blame. ended up not needing the vehicle as we were there from Ky. to help with our new grandson. was told if we brought the car back we would be charged an extra $10. per day for remainder of contract. we weren't seeking a refund, just wanted to take it back! on 2/13 noticed driver rear tire was flat. called roadside service via 1/800 number on contract, was told that would be a $74 charge to come put spare tire on. called your location @ 2019 14th st and was told it "is out of our hands"! I asked if I should drive it to them on the flat tire, he said I wouldn't do that if I were you. out of space or there's more to say...

Hertz thrifty car rental, credit card on file being compromised upon your retainer sum

All of these charges compromised my credit card as soon as your company helded a retainer against my recent rental, costing me a very inconvient situation, this is the second time this has occurred, I am seeking some type of restituion

Hertz i'm waiting an answer for 2 letters that I sent

To Hertz Fort Lauderdale Airport
We have been faithfull customers for many years. I would like to tell you about a problem for me because I have a medical condition wich prevents me to stay standing more than 5-6 minutes.
We often have to wait a long time standing because there is no chairs that we can use while waiting to see an agent at the counter.
Would you have a solution to offer me so that I can wait without discomfort?
We will arrive on March 7th around 3:30 p.m. and the driver's name is Jacques Milot.
I'll be waiting for your solution to this issue and I'm sure you'll find a favorable outcome for me.

Hertz rental

My 80 year old mother in laws car was involved in a hit and run. State Farm sent her to Hertz in Hurst TX for her rental. She does not have a credit card for security reasons, so her her son was going to put the $50.00 charge on his. Meanwhile, she was deciding which car she preferred--first selection, lost keys, second selection, check engine light was on. They were then asked if he was on her insurance policy, which of course he is not since he is a 57 year old man, so they would not rent her a car. State Farm was informed, added her son to the insurance policy later in the day. We went back to rent the vehicle, were then told that it would not be a $50.00 charge, but they would put a $1000.00 charge on the card until they had proof from State Farm that he was added to the policy then it would be removed. I asked if he would guarantee that it would be removed by putting it in writing, he told me he did not have to answer my questions and that we needed to leave and he would be calling the police. We waited for the police to arrive for 15-20 minutes, however, they never showed up. This location should NOT be in business if they are going to employ an extremely immature and unprofessional manager. This will be the absolute last time we do business with Hertz, and as many people I can pass this on to, I will. Horrible way to treat an 80 year old woman, Hertz should be ashamed,

Hertz final rental charge

Yes my name is Miranda Williams for about 3 years I'm a friends and family member as well as having presidential status I rented a vehicle Beck on November 28th at the Beverly Hills location like I always do when returning the vehicle I called the extension line and asked if I could return it at a different location closer to my home residence I was told yes and that I would be charged a $10 change location fee which was fine with me after returning the vehicle receiving the receipt I seen that I was charged 8 * the regular rate of the contract I tried to call customer service resolve that issue but I haven't received anything but disrespectful uncourteous customer service I've been hung up on nevermind complaint inquiries have been answered I haven't received any call backs from any supervisors as I requested regarding these charges I was charged $9, 400 for 62 day rental rent-to-own number [protected] and my Hertz presidential gold membership number 62421 786 I was told that I had to contact the member who I have the friends and family membership through I explained that the membership was through my husband which we have currently in divorce court as well the courts granted a domestic violence restraining order against spouse for domestic violence restraining order the restraining order was granted for a term of 3 years once I told customer service the issues with contacting spouses supervisor regarding these charges I haven't been treated with respect since then I believe the spouse who I have the friends and family membership underneath has damaged my relationship with Hertz I've never had an issue with any rental and the rentals have always been in my name I've always paid for the rental and now I'm being treated so poorly and with so much disrespect no one's trying to help me with this matter of $9, 400 462 day rental when I've been renting vehicles for the last 3 years and never paid that amount of money if

Hertz unauthorised credit card charges

Hertz have billed me 30.50 Euros from my credit card, and claim this is to cover costs incurred in providing my name & address to the relevant authorities in Italy subsequent to the notification of a traffic offence alleged to have occurred during the rental period. As far as I am aware there was NO such traffic offence and I have NOT received any communications from the Italian authorities.

Hertz take an an author rise money and discrimination

Hi my name isTiffany Scurry An I'm writing this complaint To address an issue at North Atteboro Mass Location (hertz). I was told a $75 charge on my credit card off hold, Due to vandalism of my car with my insurance company was paying for and I was told numerous of times by Jason D rather and was charged Waymore then I signed with him and also asked if it was only a $75 charge I was told yes. I then ran into an issue but my credit card as well as I'm fighting with my bank and as well as fighting hurts in the process of fighting hurtDue to vandalism of my car with my insurance company was paying for and I was told numerous of times by Jason D rather and was charged Waymore then I signed with him and also asked if it was only a $75 charge I was told yes. I then ran into an issue but my credit card as well In the process of suing hertz for takingauthorized money, now also discrimination. I was so disrespected by Jason and another manager that is fired or just got fired who authorized the payment to go through on your end (hertz) I then asked for the original contract that I signed only my card holding $75 and only responsible for $75 and was extremely disrespected and taking out my character of an issue that I had at the North Atteboro branch or place of business. I would need somebody to contact me back as soon as possible because I am going and trying to keep my cool for your employee telling me he will write down his name and just in case I don't know how to spell it as if that was him insulting my intelligence after your company has took my money. I WILL HOPE SOMEONE COMTACRS ME SOON [protected] Because I'm in the process of searching as well for a legal help for my bank for hertz and for my insurance company

Hertz customer service

Will just breakout in bullet points:
*the car shop called them for them to pick me up, they said they sent a Lyft, after waiting 20 minutes for a Lyft that never arrived, I decided to just walk to them. I don't think they ever called for one.
*I called a wk in advance and scheduled for a car pickup, once I got there there wasn't a record of the reservation
*I asked for a breakdown of what I am getting charged to make sure I wasn't paying for something I didn't want, they said just to sign and I would have it emailed to me...signing something first implies I am in agreement..how can I be asked to sign if I don't see what I am agreeing to
*the car reeked of cigarette smoke and was dirty on the inside...I had to take my own pictures because his pictures that I am agreeing to came out dirty
*I got an email that said I completed a survey, when I looked at what I supposedly rated, it was clear to me that the representative filled it out marking great for customer service and cleanliness of the car and never showed that to me..he made me sign thinking I was signing to renting the vehicle not signing the survey...this is fraud..why would he fill it out for me
* I called to voice my concerns and speak to a supervisor and he said he didn't have one and I can speak to him...so no one has a boss at the car rental?

Hertz stealing my money

While i'm sure this won't get viewed and Hertz won't care I hopefully will help some unsuspecting renter "Do Not Rent" a car from Hertz... On December 19-27 of 2017 I took a trip to Europe, Scotland. I booked through a travel agent who used "Hertz". My first trip who knew.. As I landed and got to the desk, the rep was pleasant and nice and helped me. The rental was for a Manuel transmission. I could drive it but left handed and the other side of the road might have been alittle challengeing. As to the best I remember "He" offered me another car "At No further Charge" which was an automatic with GPS. Hey great I thought. Filled out the paper work and boom out the door. Well a week later in America I get a charge for 673.72 for the upgrade. WTF... As I call my credit card company to dispute the charge I contacted Hertz. A young lady buy the name of "Jade" try's to help but basically says"Well sir as you signed the contract that's what you agreeded to". Yes, but the gentleman at the front desk said"no additional charge". Well sir{paraphrasing here} to bad so sad for you. You signed the contract... Any of you fly 8 -9 hours or agreed to an I-tunes account?.. You say or click "Hey thanks no problem, click and move on" Well a week later back home I get the charge, contact "Jade", and am told we can take half off the charge. Well that's something but your still stealing money from me. While she was unsympathetic, I am obviously irritated". Well sir you signed the contract" Yes I agree but I was given the upgrade at no additional cost and oh buy the way when they say bring it back empty don't believe them. "52 pounds for half a tank of gas, are you kidding me". That translates to roughly 80 American. As "Jade" was at this point saying "I wasn't there i'm saying" well I was and your guy said no charge". At this point i'm upset, she is rude and I ask for her boss, who is"Adam in Kansas". She explains to him my problem and he basically says"To bad so sad"you signed the contract and I don't give a [censor], {again paraphrasing alittle} This is all were doing for you, anything else.? At this particular point i'm going no where and I know it. At the end of this he then has the balls to say to me"Have a nice day"Hey no thank you for trying to steal 673.00 from me a week after my trip was over! While I am mad at them i'm more mad at myself for not saving the paper work but it wouldn't have done me any good. It was a verbal agreement the guy at the desk said to me. All I can say is "get it in writting and keep it til after your next statement" Oh I will also not rent from Hertz again as i'm now spending my money to travel abroad as I get older so kudos to you at Hertz for a fine job of [censor]ing me out of my money. Won't happen again

Hertz Vehicle issues and rude customer service

Issue # 1. I picked up my rental minivan at noon on January 11, 2018. I was not leaving for the trip from RI to NC until 11 pm that evening, taking young girls to a dance conference. When we all got in the van to leave one of the seatbelts was not working so I had to re-arrange rides with others going on the trip.

Issue #2. During the drive I was using the usb charging port for my phone so I could use the GPS on the way. The port was not working properly and my phone almost died twice on the trip so I had to pull over to charge my phone, making what should have been a 13 hour trip a 17 hour trip.

Issue #3. On our way home, we reached CT and had about an hour left of our trip, the maintenance required light came on in the vehicle. Because this is not my vehicle I automatically think "Check Engine Light" and start to panic. I have young girls in the vehicle with me, I am in an area I do not know and it is almost 9 pm at night. I did not want to stop so I drove the rest of the way home and parked the vehicle in my driveway.

The next morning I called the Warwick location to explain the problems and see if I could get a refund, and was told by the manager that there was nothing he could do for me because it was a prepaid rental and that I needed to call billing. I called billing, spoke to Sam (who was very polite) and was told that he could not help me until I turned the rental in. I called Hertz billing after returning the vehicle (and spoke to Chris - who was very polite) he told me that there was nothing they could do for me because I used a third party and I needed to contact that company. I called that company to be told that they did not receive the payment but that Hertz billed me directly. I looked at my bank statement and sure enough Hertz did take my money. Soooooooo I called Hertz billing for the 3rd time and spoke to Tamara who was very arrogant and acted like she was superior to me and told me that they could only give me a $50 coupon for a future rental. (Why would I ever want to rent from them again). I said that I would like a refund of some of the rental cost because I paid $280 for a vehicle that had many issues. She then said the most I can do (still using a superior tone) is give you a $75 coupon. I said well I'm not sure when I will be able to use it how long is it good for - 1 year is what she told me. I am not planning any trips in the near future so the coupon will be pretty much useless to me. I asked to speak with a supervisor (Ed) who immediately got on the phone with an attitude of disgust, as if I had done something wrong and that it was my fault. He said all he was going to do was give me the coupon but if I did not want it he couldn't do anything else for me.

I am appalled with the way I was treated. Their vehicle had the issues and I prepaid full price for a piece of junk and on top of it I was being penalized for pre-paying. Never again will I pre-pay for a rental vehicle and never again will I deal with Hertz.

Hertz disappointed at service of lost and found - hertz san diego airport branch

On the 6th January 2018 I unfortunately left a black pouch under my car seat which contained my passport and various identity documents. I also left a pair of Arnette sunglasses. I drop the vehicle off at 6:30pm in the evening and went back the next morning around 11:00am to report it.

Whoever had cleaned the car "apparently" did not find anything in the vehicle - I know for a fact that I had left the pouch under my seat. I asked to see the car, but it had been rented out already. The manager Gerado said he would put a stop on the vehicle so it would get checked when it came in. I also asked if we could call the customer to ask if he could check under the seat - "No number could be found" strange as we have to give our details when renting a car.

Car returned Tuesday night and car went straight out again and not searched. I had been dealing with lost and found Marissa and she said she would ask the person who "cleaned" the car the first time - he was eventually asked apparently after a week of the incident - he said he did not find anything.

Eventually the car came back and they searched and found nothing - Yes I realize its my fault for leaving an item behind, but you would think people would be honest and just hand it what they find. I don't care about the sunglasses they can have them but the passport is the biggest problem and the only explanation is that it was thrown away.

They do not realize that this can effect someones life especially this document and there was no urgency contacting the person who "originally cleaned the car" and no urgency to put a stop on it so we can check it first before it went out again.

If you leave something behind consider it gone is the motto here - no honest, trustworthy individuals or helpful individuals in a desperate situation - There "process" means nothing and seems no process was followed.

Very disappointed with how this whole situation was handled - only once I had visited the branch over 3 times did they realize I was super serious and needed help. If only they took me serious the first time I went to report the missing pouch.

Now I am lost for words and don't know where to turn

Hertz hertz - terrible experience

We recently rented a car from HERTZ in Mexico Huatulco airport, between the dates of Dec 30, 2017 and Jan 6, 2018. They estimated our cost to be $215. The charge we got for the rental was $273.72. I want to mention that the car was returned without ANY damage and we have no idea why we were charged an additional $58. The first car they gave us was in horrendous condition and broke down at 9 am on the following morning after we filled it with a full tank of gas. After several unsuccessful calls to Hertz, my husband had to take a taxi to go back to the airport to explain what had happened. They promised to send a mechanic to fix the issue and asked us to stay with the car.
First we were waiting for mechanic, which confirmed that the car is dead and we have to wait for the tow truck. Really? I did not go on vacation to babysit a piece of junk car, wait on a mechanic and anticipate the arrival of a tow truck! But, stupid us, we did as we were told and waited in the baking sun for a tow truck that NEVER CAME! Finally, after countless calls to the company and manager, we left the car and took a taxi back to our hotel. After all, this was how we had spent most of our New Year's Eve and we wanted to salvage the very little that was left of the day. Having spent the entire day in the merciless sun, I was overheated, nauseous and dizzy. Worst of all, we had lost an entire day.

The next day, the manager came to tell us that we can expect a new car to arrive around noon. We asked how they were discounting us for the day we had lost and she said that discount will be applied when we return the car.

I hope it will be apply as I opened a case # with HERTZ - 021490…

Hertz unethical behaviour

When I arranged a rental with MS. Gina (last name withheld from me) she quoted a daily comprehensive insurance package that I declined. Then she said I could just pay for the liability portion at a lower rate. I didn't know at the time that I didn't need the insurance. She also knew I didn't need this as my insurance co. CSAA who was paying for the rental while my car was in the shop. I called my insurance co. and they verified that I was covered with them for any vehicle. I explained this to Ms. Gina, and she would not refund the insurance charge even though my card had not yet been used, although Hertz had taken my credit card number. Is this HERTZ's policy?
Please look into this situation and issue a refund. I've also notified my insurance co. who recommended Hertz! To me this is unethical.

Hertz employees

I was standing in line at Avis, checking prices for a rental vehicle and was planning to go to your company NEXT which is adjacent to your company at Sanford airport Florida Heard employees two young girls a blondish hair looked like name indicated possible Shelbie was difficult to visualize. Other employee had dark hair .The middle age gentle man who was on other side possible a maintenance person ? Employees where discussing handicap people that THEY where such a pain in the [censor] with wheelchairs. When I and my family heard this ..will inform friends / family/ co workers and business associates NEVER rent from your company . My husband and I are flying out to Hawaii in the next month-and-a-half was planning on possibly renting from your company. As nurse/ human being that cares with handicapped individuals daily I am appalled. I did contact the manager at the rental desk and he indicated he was speak with the employees . Hertz car reserved not available

I am so disappointed with Hertz. I reserved my vehicle for my first family holiday vacation in July 2017 for December. I reserved a Premium SUV and called Hertz in U.S and Dominican Republic to ensure that the vehicle will be available. Upon arrival with my family, the agent stated "Sorry we don't have any vehicles" I was so sad and depressed, the long awaited vacation was just ruined. No other car rentals had any car available either, due to the holidays and being last minute. What a disappointment. HERTZ is not a reliable company. You make plans and reserve and later they come up with oh sorry. Sorry cant fix anything HERTZ. You guys should just take down your online reservation because is not reliable. This is a scam. We will never use HERTZ again. IS A SCAM!

Hertz car rental in norway.

I recently rented a car from your company in Narvik, Norway between the dates of 30/12/17 and 01/01/17 for which I was quoted, 1064.00 NOK I have just been charged 2157.00 NOK for the rental, more than twice the quoted amount without any explanation. The car was returned without ANY damage. Therefore you owe me 1093 NOK and if any payments are missed because of these extra charges also the amounts I am charged because of this. My Hertz reservation number was, H5282083353.

Hertz theft

On January 8th, 2018, I rented a Nissan Quest (reservation #H5370897281). As I arrived, my vehicle was not in the assigned stall, I went to the counter and a gentleman took care of the situation as he found a van for me and brought it to me. Situation solved, plus he took care of my gas, awesome! But, when I returned the vehicle around 4:10pm, I was distracted and in a rush to make my flight, as I got to my departing gate and the announcement was made to board, I realized that I had forgot my bag of specialty chocolates on the floor of the front passenger seat. I know it was there because on my way to Hertz, I stepped on the brakes at the light and the bag feel over, and I know I didn't bring it into the shuttle as I put my belongings on the shelf and I didn't have the bag with me, plus the driver asked if I needed help and replied that I only had 2 bags, my backpack and my tools. As I was boarding the plane, I called my associate to ask if she could call and let them know that I forgot a bag full of chocolates on the floor of the front seat, and that someone will be on there way to pick it up. She said the supervisor (Noreen) checked the vehicle and said there was nothing there. I called Noreen after I arrived at the gate and explained to her exactly where the bag was, and that I know it was there when I arrived at the return lane. I hadn't stopped anywhere on the way there, it was on the floor. So she put me on hold for about 22min, when she came back, she told me she looked in 5 Nissan Quests, including the one I had. Nothing. She asked the return agent and the person who pulled the van forward from the return lane, they told her they found nothing. So, a bag full of chocolates worth almost $200.00 just disappeared. Amazing! I explained my disappointment to Noreen for another 20min or so, and she apologized and said she feels bad, but there's nothing she can do, which I understand. I'm just really, really disappointed that whoever found the bag didn't even think about who it belonged to. I was expecting them to tell me they found it and it's ready to pick up, hoping they cared that it was expensive chocolates and probably gifts. I'm not necessarily disappointed with Hertz, just the person or persons involved with the theft of my belongings. Sad. Why would you not return someone's belongings? Is there something that can be done? I asked if there were camera's and she said none that are pointing in that direction. I don't know if that's true, but I install security cameras, and would want cameras pointed in that direction as I think the return area is important. I know I won't get a resolution but I just hope this can be prevented from happening to others. It's I slap in the face with someone steals from you, it eats you up inside. If employees are stealing chocolates, then I feel so bad for the people that forget more important things in vehicles. Disappointed.
