Hit Web Design Excellent Employee

I have used Heritage for 6 years and have purchased 4 websites and have been extremely pleased with my clients responses to them. In fact Sepideh Hanks was my consultant and she was excellent in informing me on their products and their benefits. She is someone who I recognize as an asset that I would want to employ for my firm.
In reading "Polly's" post on "unauthorized charges" it doesn't sound like the complaint should be on Sepideh. I have used this firm for so long now that your post sounds very sloppy. Why didn't you post the name of the gentlemen who said he was supposed to cancel the account or the accountant who sent you the wrong contract instead? It doesn't sound like Sepideh is the one who gave you info in error. I don't see why you have her name posted when you could have called accounting or gotten a confirmation from the gentlemen canceling your account. I would recommend this firm to anyone in need of a unique site that looks good and that helps you get your business out there.

I paid these scam artists $900.00 to build me a classy web page. Five pages to be exact, so I could sell my books. After going through 8 people including designers, managers, sales etc it took 7 months before a web site was up by not running. Come to find out, it was never running. They failed to link me to pay-pal even though I purchases a certificate to accept checks and credit cards. one day I decided to buy my own book and lo and behold : no sale. I called this den of thieves and their response was completely inadequate, just like their work. They agreed to fix their error, however not before helping themselves to another $50.00. In retrospect I had lost $ 10, 000 in book sales and looked like I was scamming the public. The guest book was never created and when they put some makeshift something or other together, no one could figure out how to sign in and use it. I spent 2 years fighting with this company to correct their errors. Then things got worse. Any time I complained they blamed the browser I was using. That was the reason the corrected pages looked like the old worthless pages; browser difficulties! Good God, do they think I am that stupid? How about " they never fixed the bad pages to begin with?" This company changed their name but they have not changed their way of doing business. They took another $235.00 without permission off my debit card and then took my web site down without telling me. In 4 years I have sold "O" books because of this poorly run company. They are criminal. They take your money and never deliver. Stay away from these thieves!

Hit Web Design - bad business to work with/for! abc4 news utah will expose!

As an ex-employee I can say that HIT Web Design, formerly known as Heritage Web Solutions, was once a great company to work for. Unfortunately this is no longer the case. I had worked there for 2 and a half years and in the past year, HIT (who changed their name to run away from their bad reputation) has seriously gone down hill. It supposedly all started...

Hit Web Design Stole my money

A young salesman at HIT web design, formerly heritage web solutions, named Brandon Byrge lied to me when I signed up with his company.

He led me to believe they were going to make a killer website for $700 for me so I agreed to sign up. He and I went back and forth for a few days going over what features to include and what features not to include. There were some things that I wanted but couldn't afford because they would've cost thousands more. He told me I would receive a 7 page website with a forum with paypal integration and 6 months free hosting. Also, the forum would allow an unlimited number of pictures per profile. A search function would also be available. From here things went straight downhill.

My account manager's name was Gabe Miles, a charming lad who will steal your money while smiling and complimenting you. Gabe Miles immediately wanted me to send him content so the programmer's could start working on the website. I asked him a technical question that he didn't know the answer to and he connected me with a programmer. I asked the programmer to tell me about some of the features I would receive with the forum. He listed some and also told me it would be one picture per profile and a search function would cost extra. I talked with Gabe Miles and he said to get the website that I thought I was getting would cost over $3000 more.

I asked to see a contract for what features I would get for the website I paid for. I was connected to accounting who sent me a receipt that only stated when I paid -nothing else. HIT web design again balked at sending me a contract so I asked to cancel the account. I figured since I had sent them zero content and they did absolutely nothing to design my website it would be an easy cancellation/refund.

HIT wouldn't even offer a partial refund, they left me with nothing. I neither signed nor saw a contract but stupidly gave them my bank information and they began to debit my account. I called VISA's fraud dept and they agreed it was a charge for "services unrendered" and have refunded my $700 back into my account. Now HIT has a merchant dispute with VISA.

If Brandon Byrge or Gabe Miles of HIT web design lie to you and steal your money the best recourse is to file a fraud claim with your bank. I was lucky that I didn't send them any content or else they could claim that they performed work on the website (like changing the background color). Now I see why Gabe Miles was so anxious for me to send him some stuff for the website, they wanted to perform the minimal work, then try to charge me thousands more and offer no refund.

Also, HIT web designs used to be called Heritage web solutions. They were forced to change their name because there were hundreds of complaints just like this one if someone does a google search.

As soon as they sent me the email that stated there would be no refund for my cancellation, Brandon Byrge and Gabe Miles no longer answer my calls or return my messages. They are classless individuals working for a scamster company.

I payed 200 dollars to have flash buttons put on my site. After a month of going back and forth with customer service they told me it was already completed when the work never started. They said when you hover over the buttons they flash green and I told them thats been doing that for 4 months. They wont refund me they said they just did that even though the technician says he didn't do anything. Heritage Web Solutions now known as hit wont help me. I have sent tons of emails to all their complaint departments they will most likely post after I post this saying contact there 800 number and or email them at customerservice@hitwebdesign.com or qca@hitwebdesign.com or ceo@hitwebdesign.com Trust me you have to send tons of emails to those three emails to get a response. I have called them so many times for help and they wouldn't help me. They are now riping me off saying the work is done. HIT web design stay away. There customer service wont help. All the like to do is sell there service and make you wait months to do anything even though they have the resources. They will tell you after you sign up they have know SLA that's service level agreement. My site was supposed to cost 2999 it's now cost 2017 and still not done. This company will rip you off. HIT Web design should put and S in front of HIT. This company is also Mormon Owned. Their articles of faith state be honest in your dealings with your fellow man. I thought when i signed up with them they were honest. They just sell empty and very late results. I have emailed all of them 800 plus times since the start of my site and its still not done. HIT web design when you read this, this is no new news for you grow up and be honest will your customers tell them we will finish your site when its conversant for us. Also the designers will only email when the site is done so your site will never look the way you want it unless you call and email hundreds of times. Come on give me an AMEN on this report. Just google search HIT for reviews I am telling the truth as God is my witness and I am LDS also. These are just bad mormons.

I purchased web site hosting and design from HIT in August of 2017 and then was foolish enough to also purchase some "add-ons" from them as well. It has been the most disappointing and frustrating experience of my life. I would never recommend this company to anyone. They are impossible to do business with and certainly have no concern for customer satisfaction. Stay away from them at all costs.
That being said, I do have a “functioning” web site, but getting it done was horrible, and there are still issues that have not been resolved. My designer did a good job of taking what I gave her and giving me a very nice looking web site, but some of the things that need to be fixed couldn't be "tested" before the web site was live or needed to be done after other pieces were put in place. Unfortunately, once it's live everything costs more and more and more money to "fix" even if the problem is related to poor workmanship on their part or things that are truly “broken” when tested after the site is live. They make you submit (and pay for) an update to get anything at all done, and then when the fixes you paid for don't get done right, you have to pay more and more and more to try to get them to fix their fixes, and on and on and on.
They don’t communicate with each other internally. When they say there is a “team” working on your web site, what they really mean is that there are several VERY independently working individuals working on your website. They definitely work in silos (and that’s true when it comes to customer service as well – I have heard “you’ll have to contact ……” so many times my head is spinning). Things that should have been addressed as additional pieces were put in place were never done because they didn’t communicate internally and they didn’t contact me to get input, so they don’t build on existing framework. They just slap it in and send you and e-mail (if you’re lucky).
They apparently take no “pride” in the work they do either, because they don’t test internally or review the results of their work before they call it complete. And they are either very slow to respond, or they don’t respond at all (even the CEO, to whom I have been referred since no one else can, or will help me at this point, has not responded to my requests).
The add-ons I purchased don't work correctly either, and they have done nothing but pass me around from one person or group to another rather than address the issues and get them fixed. I've talked to numerous people over a long period of time and am still working to try to get things fixed and get my money back for what doesn't work. I’m up to the CEO level now, and he or she did not respond to my initial request for assistance. I have my doubts as to whether I will get a response to a second request.

This company is the worst ever.
No one gives you any answers to your question.
They just pass you from person to person with nothing ever getting fixed.
They just put you on hold forever.
After 1 full year of working to get the web site up there are several issuse. When I call to get it fixed they just play the pass around gam.
I personally have invsted over 100 hours into the development of the web site that I apied over $1, 200.00 for.
They do nothing, just plug in YOUR information and call it a design.
Works customer service I have ever had from any company ever...
DO NOT USE HIT WEB DESIGN

I ABSOLUTELY DESPISE THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE HORRIBLE. THE TRICK YOU WITH UNDERSTANDING THOUGHTS AND ALLOW YOU TO PUT YOUR GUARDS DOWN OF SUSPICION. IT TOOK THEM 2 MONTHS TO COMPLETE A SIGHT. YOU WILL WAIT LIKE 30 MIN TO TALK TO TECH SUPPORT. YOU WILL BE LUCKY TO EVEN REACH THEM. AFTER 30 MIN AN ANSWERING MACHINE COMES ON AND TELLS YOU TO LEAVE A MESSAGE. GRRRRR. I SPENT 500 DOLLARS JUST FOR A FREAKING DOMAIN NAME. I ENDED UP CANCELING WITH THEM AFTER 3 MONTHS AND NOW IN TRANSITION TO TAKING MY WEBSITE TO BE HOSTED BY SOMEONE ELSE. I AM TELLING YOU THEY WILL NOT GET BACK TO YOU AT ALL IF YOU LEAVE A MESSAGE. A SIMPLE TASK (I KNOW IS SIMPLE BECAUSE I VE PLAYED WITH THE SOFTWARE THEY USE. THEY ARE JUST EXPERTS AT THAT SOFTWARE AND IF I CAN DO IT I KNOW THEY CAN DO IT WITH THEIR EYES CLOSED) CUSTOMER SERVICE IS RUDE AS I DONT KNOW WHAT. I HAVE GONE BACK AND FOURTH WITH THESE GUYS. THEY DONT CARE ABOUT AND YOUR SITE. PLEASE I AM BEGGING YOU DONT USE THIS WEBSITE. THERE IS SOOOO MANY MORE I CAN TELL YOU ABOUT THIS IS IT WILL ANGER YOU. THEY CHARGE YOU FOR CRAZY THINGS YOU CANT FIX ITS RIDICULOUS. I READ ALL THE REVIEWS ON THIS PAGE AND IT SUMS IT UP. I VALIDATE ALL THAT HAS BEEN WRITTEN MY WEBSITE IS WWW.NEIGHBORCLEANERS.COM. I TOOK THAT SITE AND LET SOMEONE ELSE HOST IT...I AM SO GLAD I AM DONE WITH THIS STUPID COMPANY. THEY SHOULD ALL GO TO JAIL...AND THE SAD THING IS. IT SEEMS LIKE THEY DONT CARE...THEY SEEM RUFFLES. DONT USE THEM PERIOD. YOU WILL REGRET EVERY MINUTE OF IT. I SWEAR ON MY UNBORN KIDS

Customer technical service staff does not respond to calls, e-mails 0r return calls or e-mails concerning website problems. Your call is answered by machine and it is transferred to the desired department where you get a message that a technician will be with you shortly and you wait and about 30 minutes later you are asked to leave a message and they will call back . You rarely ever receive a return call.

If you get through it is usually after their regular business hours (you called their 24/7 service) They are unable to provide and site problems, so you are told to contact them during regular business hours and the whole cycle starts over. The complaint is just another fail to deliver on their advertised services.

I purchased a webpage from Hit Design Webpage on July 1, 2017. I paid $275 ($100 down for the page, $150 for some 'wow factor' to make the page look professional and $25 for hosting - although the page was not complete, they charged me anyway). They told me to pay $600 over 4 months.

I called them on the 6th of July, NOTHING. I called repeated up until today and was told to call on Wed., the 14th so they could give me a designer (I was told I would talked to a designer on the 6th). That's when I became suspicious and contacted you. I am in Michigan and I can prosocute them here. I believe they are breaking the law and should be arrested. I'm not a lawyer but there are interstate internet laws...they already violated one by charging me in advance for my hosting service. They are very 'smooth'. They advertise on CNN and say that are one of Enterprise Magazine's 500 top businesses. They are really hurting a lot of people. They should be handled by the law.

BEWARE!

I was referred to Hit Web and did not do any research on the company. My experience has been horrible.

After 4 months and hours and hours of calls and emails, I have absolutely nothing for the $500 I paid them.

I decided to terminate my agreement and asked for my money back and they told me the fine print in the agreement basically says they do not have to deliver anything and they can terminate at any time without notice or a refund.

Please tell everyone not to go near this company.

I negotiated a deal for a webpage to be designed for a total of $600, I paid $300 down as agreed, which they promptly took from my credit card and bank account. The deal was for $300 down and the other $300 to be paid upon completion of the webpage which would be turned over to me and I would find my own host for it. They sent me some forms to fill out and a questionaire to fill out supposedly for the webdesigner. This was all negotiated on a Thurs/Friday, the money was taken the following Monday, the questionaire was to be completed by me before Monday and sent via e-mail to the webdesigner, I had it in to them on Sunday night. They said they would call me that following Tuesday after the had received payment and get started immediately. I never heard from them again about anything having to do with building my webpage. I requested a full refund, 10 days later, many days and phone calls later I was told it would be processed but I was only entitled to $150 of my money back, and the refund would be processed in order of refund requests. This could take months, possibly years! I complained and complained, called numerous times and they still won't process my refund, and giving me only half my money back for something they did nothing on is totally unacceptable! This is the worst and most unprofessional company I have ever done business with in the last 30 years! They should give everyone their money back that they have screwed over and commited blatant fraud and theft against and be shut down immediately. Thank you! Mark Willis

I paid $1500 on dec 1st 2017, it is now aug 17th 2017 and my home page isnt done. besides the fact that they had all my photos and text and everything by jan 1st, im actually amazed they can do so little. I was supposed to get into contact by holly over 6 weeks ago and she was going to make heads roll as she is a manager, nothings changed.. nothings done.

Never hire these people.. i am going to get my refund from my credit card and file it under fraudulent inducement in courts if they want to go there.

Hit Web Design Hi is it HIT now? Still Scamming Customers?!!!!

I see some things NEVER change. Things like one's color, ethnicity, OH AND HIT WEB DESIGN FORMERLY KNOWN AS HERITAGE WEB DESIGN! Why in God's green earth isn't these ### not in prison?! WHY haven't they been exposed publicly for what they really do with people's money and why in God's green earth isn't the attorney general of Utah still not doing a damn thing about the many complaints he or she is getting; they are just sitting on their ### with all the complaints coming through the door and not doing ANYTHING. Mmmm sounds like the roaster and the chickens may live under the same barn! Be careful people the only one to look out for your own interest may be you by not using these fradulent dirtbags in the first place. They became classless to me three years ago and they are still screwing people over. Look I'm sorry if you got screwed to but what is more concerning to me is that current customers and former ones of HIT formerly Heritage Web Design need to bombard the Utah attorney general's office and find out what the heck are they going to do about this dam company before they rob another person! I mean this office should have hundreds and hundreds of complaints from the amount of people who stated on /link removed/ that they are going to complain to the attorney general office in Utah. So hey, what's the problem up there?!

I am so upset for they will not give me back my money. I have sent numerous emails and voicemails to request my money back and to close down my account with a confirmation. Nothing has gotten resolved! I have already contacted BBB and they realize the seriousness of this company. It has been over a month and I'm getting nowhere! They should not be in business for they STEAL from people. I am so distraught over this and I can't believe that there are people in this world like this. DON'T TRUST THESE PEOPLE FOR THEY ARE FRAUDULENT AND SHOULD BE PUT OUT OF BUSINESS IMMEDIATELY!

I have the same story with my web-site.They charged me $100.00 each page, one of which i spent on a Video page and still have no video access to add any of them.Instead, someone tells me to e-mail them an embeled code from YouTube so she could temporarily put one video on my site.If you check my video page, its $100.00 charge just for me to add what You Tube already has for free... no charge from YouTube ... And on top of that, other total strangers vids are being showed on my own web-site. (countrykimberly.com)
Now, I go into my guest book page and I suddenly have advertisement on the top and sides of that page... And my beautiful compliments only show half a page and no one read it unless they scroll over, past the advertisements. Its imbarrasing to have my fans asking me what is wrong with my site now. HIT tells me they will look into it...hello! Still waiting...
My web-site looks like a amature did it. After $800.00 later, Im still trying to get it situated.HIT DESIGN keeps passing the buck and Im not getting anywhere.Im a bit scared that i will go into my site one day and find nothing on it... I have valuable information that Im afraid of loosing through them.
How can we stop them from doing this to others? I didnt even check the scam until things started going wrong.I continuesly e-mail different people and one by one, the e-mails come back undelivable? Im looking into a laywer... countrykimberly.com

I'm another victim. Pretty much everything I have read is EXACTLY what happened to me. After 8 weeks of HIT Web Design doing absolutely nothing, I requested a refund and of course they have not granted my request. So now, I will file complaints with the state of Utah, the BBB and dispute everything charge for their non-service. Do not beleive ANYTHING they say. They actually have a team that scours the internet trying to refute complaints. They have a D+ rating with the BBB and no longer accredited. When I brought this to their attention, they said it was not true. Check out wiki (heritage web solutions), there is a secton labeled "CONTROVERSY" under their name. They lure in by referring you to an outdated youtube video with Bryant Gumbel. They obviously have found that cheating consumers is more profitable than actually running a reputable business. Their terms of service agreement is a book. Here is their scam. They provide you with a low price claimining they can develop your site. They ask 1/2 upfront and setup a payment schedule. Then, the phone calls begin, would you ALSO like to purchase web hosting, then site maps, then internet tracking tools, etc. Then they will reps call you offering discounts to pay off the rest of your bill. If you pay the remaining portion and accept the discount, you will NEVER hear from them again, unless you continuously call. Of course there are no calls about the actual project. They would not ever allow me to speak with someone who was supposedly working on my account; I was told, they cannot give out phone numbers. Then they try to get you to sign agreements that are bound by their TOS. The customer has to follow the rules, but HIT Webdesign make their own rules as you go along. Watch out for them changing information on statements; they assume most customers will not ready all the fine print. I'm one of thousands of people who simply wanted some work done and who are willing to pay for a service. I really don't think it is enjoyable spending my time writing about how I was RIPPED OFF BY HITWEBDESIGN, but I was and believe me, the number of complaints with the BBB will continue to grow. I gave EVERY oppotunity to do something, anything, but they left me no choice other than to file a complaint and ask for a refund. They actually offered me a portion of my money back but they want to keep $1200 for doing nothing and I have START ALL OVER AGAIN with another company. I noticed the CEO [censor] is on facebook, his name is David Aitken. Drop him an email and tell him your story. Don't expect an answer, since the scam obviously was his idea. How these people get away with what they're doing is beyond me.

Hit Web Design Fraudulent, False Promises

This is an all-star five ring Barnum & Bailey Circus people, out to rob you of every dime they can get.

You are first assigned an account manager who tells you they can give you what you want, he throws out a price, you hagle, he then says I can talk it over with my manager (when he really puts his hand over the phone and comes back and say "yes, we can do that, I'll send you a contract"...then you are coaxed to get this agreement back to them for this reasonable price that really does not include any of the necessary things that was discussed.

You are asked to load your information in some database that does not accept your paper work for the web, so you send it to the account manager who is suppose to send these things to the web designer.

Weeks later you get to the web designer who then tells you he cannot do any of the things that was discussed with the account manager, only if you pay an extra $110, or $220 for drop down or another tab that should have all been included in the $600 web site...then you get calls from writers offereing to help with your blog, then the blog is not included which was promised in the $600 website...

Now you get a mock up of what your site should look like only to find it is half-###, wording sloppily thrown in and you're told you get to deal with the designer three times to get this straight then you are kicked to the technical team who you could hold on the phone for hours to get through too. What a mess...

I haven't begun to tell you about the accounting department in trying to get my money back. OhmyDAMN!

People, please stay away. They should be arrested.

The latest scam is in building websites because people need them for their business.

May God Help Us...

I am in complete agreement with the person that has had problems with these guy's. I went from a 2000.00 site to a 8900.00 site and counting. They still do not have it functioning correctly, and I can not get anyone I can talk to about my database. I am on hold now for 30 min and still waiting, just for customer service. DO NOT put yourself through what I have gone through. Its not worth it. Zero customer service, and I mean ZERO.

Thank you Hit Management for ANOTHER form letter devoid of substance, or actual emotion. I suggest instead of spending time posting generic responses, you instead get hard at work on building the websites that you have sold!

Seems to me that sales and online smears take the front seat with actual work, and fulfillment taking the backseat.

We need to stand up to companies like this!

Hit Web Design Bait and switch

I had purchased a websight from Heritage Websight Solutions. I was promised an award winning websight, and received nothing of the kind. I was given an amateur websight that's emabarrassing and unprofessional. They double charged me for the sight, and offered me credit instead of money back.

When I asked for the credit with the hopes of having an award winning websight, I received nothing but a run-around. The customer service reps referred me to their manager, who, never had the decency to return a phone call, or reply to any of my emails that I've posted.

When I called to complain, none of their customer service reps were able to help me. I have a full list of names of customer service reps that I've communicated with who all have promised me to help me, but never have. I have been more than patient, and totally feel ripped off by this company. I have googled other similar complaints voicing the same sentiment about Heritage Websight Solutions a.k.a. Hitwebdesign. To ad insult to injury, this company had the audacity to send me a "do-it-yourself" email on how to put together key components of the websight myself. There are many notions of class actions lawsuits brewing of this stink that this company has placed on innocent businesses like mine. At this point, I just want my money back. I don't feel comfortable talking to any personnel from that company after what has happened. They should be ashamed of themselves for conducting this unconscionable practice of bait and switch chicanery.

I will continue to pursue you, and post everywhere until I do! If any potential customers would like to read all of the emails between myself and Hit (also know as Heritage web)- please let me know.

I am a free lance web designer and I take pride in the work I do and work hard to satisfy my customers. I don't consider a project done until my client says it is. However, I have recently been offered a free lance position within this company and just wasn't sure how I felt about it. So I researched and did my homework before filling out any contracts. I am glad I did! I take to much pride in myself and my work to be associated with such a company! Thanks everyone for your input! It had made a tough decision much easier!

As others have advised the only real way to resolve this is to wash you hands of Hit Web Design / Heritage Web Solutions or whatever they go by. Sadly you must just write off the time spent, but you don't have to loose the money.

The ONLY way to get your money back from Hit Web Design is to call your credit card or bank, and do a charge back. A charge back says that you have tried to resolve issues with the company, and they have not complied so because they have not up held their end of the deal, you are now refusing the charges.

It is the only way that I could have gotten all my money back! They were only offering me 50% of the over 2, 000 dollars that I spent waiting and never getting anything.

So do yourself a favor, and ditch this sorry excuse for a company!

Hit Web Design Rip off

I paid $220 which was half the balance mean while got charged for other things and was asked to buy a full year of hosting also to convert my "not yet built site" to cell phone site, for a fee of course. I was charged the twice $220 and twice $50. The first $50 was to make my site an e-commerce and the second $50 was to transfer my previous site to Heritage. Two month passed while I am on the phone trying to see what they have done so far. All they showed me was an initial web page with few links. NOT AN E-Commerce. I stop payment on the rest of the charges and asking for refund. Now everything is on hold they can not do anything until the charge dispute will clear and they sent me a whole charge of disputing charges. I kept telling them that I will gladly pay as long as they will show me what they have done or what am I paying for. However, I fill that they prefer to make there money by cook and by crook. I totally did not enjoy their service and after waiting 2 month I have nothing to show for it. I'll keep you posted.

It is in our best interest to work with customers who have complaints in order to reach a reasonable and fair resolution and establish a long term business relationship. One of the core values of HIT Web Design is to demonstrate our respect and commitment to all of our clients. In most cases, Heritage goes beyond what is fair for the company to satisfy a displeased client.

While HIT is committed to establish long-term business relationships with each of our clients, there is no such thing as a complaint-free company. Research any large company and you will find complaints posted about them on the Internet.

To better understand the character and integrity of HIT Web Design, we invite you to review our record with the Better Business Bureau. We have worked with more than 15, 000 clients and in the entire company history, have had less than 1% of our clients complain to the BBB. We are even more proud of the fact that Heritage has been able to resolve every registered BBB complaint. HIT stands by our record.

Hit Web Design Crappy company

This company is ridiculous! I am also an ex employee. I am not bitter in the least towards this company, however, I just could not stand working for them. It is true about the company being in the hole. I wasn't outsourced and I still had problems cashing my check, along with several others. I even went directly to their bank, and their bank charged me $6 to cash my check. It is so bad, that the VP was telling the whole accounting department that they could only refund $3600 a pay period to their customers. Can you imagine? A company that requires all of it's employees to sell at least $30, 000 a DAY, can only afford to refund a small amount every 2 weeks. They even tried to blame the post office for checks not getting to the outsourced workers. Give me a break!

DO NOT use this company for web design. Most customers are told their websites will be up within a couple of weeks. That is so not true. It normally takes 2 weeks before you are even put into the design department. This is the most absolute worst company I have ever worked for! After I was hired and read all of the complaints online, I wanted to tell them no thank you, but I went ahead and gave them the benefit of the doubt. I wish I would have never stepped foot inside this company. Everything you have read on the complaints boards is absolutely true.

Oh, and the only way to ensure that you are not charged for anything in the future is to just cancel your credit card. The employees are under so much pressure to upsell you and make you buy things, that we saw trends of employees putting though unauthorized sales just so they wouldn't get in trouble by their managers.

I called them to simply sub out some work.. I talked to a [censor] name Jeff Harmon (jeffh@hitwebdesign.com). I is the biggest [censor] I have ever dealt with. I need a quote in two days, it took two weeks. He called and told me he had my quote ready and after being on hold for a few minutes he got back on and said it wasn't ready, that one he thought was mine was fora different customer... In the mean time, I completed the project and collect $6000. Glad I didn't give that to them. I guarantee I would NEVER have signed a contract. Go to web-design-companies-to-avoid.com

I too have been lied to, scammed and cheated by hit web design company. I paid over 700
dollars around two months ago, with my credit card. I not only have no website, but i cannot seem to have my money refundes. I am extremely disgusted at this point. Everytime i call i am given the runaround and noone seems to be able to tell me where my money is. I have received no services from this company, it is nothing but a company that is cheating people out of their money, getting rich by doing nothing at all. I say that all of us who have been conned out of our money by these people should come together and file a class action lawsuit. We should not just let them get away with taking our hard earned honest money. It would be completely different had they built me a website and done honest business, but that is not the case, i have paid 700 for absolutely nothing but a hard time. If you are interested in a class action lawsuit and having this company shut down then please give me a call at [protected] or email me at jamiebrown1975@yahoo.com

If there is ANYONE out there that can help me get my project launched contact me! I am needing 12 websites built with the same programming/look and feel just a couple individual changes per site.

I am really open to anything at this point.

This is the worst company I've ever seen. Not only do they scam the client, they lie when they say they are refunding money.

THE ONLY WAY TO GET YOUR MONEY BACK ONCE YOU REALIZE YOU'VE BEEN DEALING WITH A SCAM WITH HIT WEB DESIGN IS TO GET YOUR BANK TO BACK CHARGE ANY MONEY THEY HAVE CHARGED AND INVESTIGATE THIS COMPANY.

That's what I did, and I got every penny back. I wasn't about to wait until they were completely bankrupt to hope I got the money back. My bank will send the files to the applicable agencies too, for investigations.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

I am an ex HIT employee. Sadly it is not a 'scam' in the true sense. It is jut a VERY POORLY run business, they don't check qualifications of employees and are more concerned with quantity over quality. They are unable to fulfill their obligations to their clients because they don't have the staff to do it, and yes once they get the money they don't care.
I worked for them for nearly 2 years. I heard every complaint listed here and more. I finally quit when they started treating me like a client. I tried for over a month to contact the project manager by email and phone, he never got back to me. Therefore I could not complete the project for the client.
Don't blame the designers. Most of them are very good at what they do.
A solution for you folks who are looking is to find a local designer who you can sit down and talk to. Someone you can go see when you run into troubles.
Folks think that we are more expensive. But that is not true. We are just more honest up front as to what a site is going to cost.
So take the advise of a former designer for HIT. Find a local designer you like, and pay their prices. And understand in any web design project, much of your time as client is required to ensure the success of your project. Make sure local designer provide a spec and an estimate in writing, but understand things change over the course of a project sometimes that will affect this.
I am currently in the process of working on a way to educate the web site consumer as to their responsibilities on this type of project and what to look for in a good design company and how to tell a fraud. However doing my regular work takes most of my time and finding local media folks who care about this stuff is a challenge.
I know from experience that designers and clients can work well together and produce good web sites. It is just require time, dedication and trust on both sides. You will never get this with a large faceless company.
Support local designers and the local community. You will stand a much better chance of getting what you want when someones reputation locally is riding on what you say.
I get all my clients from referrals from other clients, so I must be doing something right.
I had HIT clients try to contact me via my personal site, and had to turn them away because of my contract. I wish I could put my contact info up and help all you folks, but I believe I can be sued by HIT.

I am loosing money and loosing credibility with my investors. I am in the hole because the company failed to deliver my site on time. Who do I contact to get my money back? I am willing to go as far as it takes to get my money back. After reading this thread my concern has risen.

I also got ripped off by HIT web design. I ordered a 2 page website in November and now its the beginning of Feb. and it still isnt done. I did file a BBB complaint with no response from the company. If everybody on here can come together and file a class action law suit i think that would be the best way to go about handling this company. I paid in advance with as of yet no website. It seems like all the employees there are working together to not get each other in trouble when i call in and wish to talk with someone in upper management. I get the run around, HIT doesnt care about its clients.

Please post on here if people are interested in joining in and filing a class action lawsuit to shut this company down and retrieve our money.

Hit Web Design - payment to contracted employees

After working for Heritage Web design as a outsource writer and having our payment schedules changed and having more and more hoops added each month to what we were suppose to do to earn our $.05 a word I was glad when they had a downturn in business and could no longer keep my contract. Hit Web Design lie, cheat customers, uncompleted work

I am a small start up business and Hit web design promises they can create a website and make sure you are getting your information out into the web world asap. They have you pay for your hosting up front for a year and when you pay for everything you have to call everyday crying and begging just to get your website up and running . They promise they will have you fully running in two weeks. Well that was back in Feb. and I still do not have everything I need on my site and am still begging them. They also charge you for many services that once you start trying to get your own site out there you find out that they charge for site maps then I find out that the search engines let you get site maps for free. In fact I paid for one and the only search engine that has picked me up is google that is because of what I have done on the web. They also make it to where you cannot add anything to your site such as site maps because they hold your site hostage they control it. I can only change some wording on my site. You can't add your paypal code on your site etc. Heaven forbid that I would like to add my own pictures I cannot even get the very important information on my site to run it the right way. I would never request simple things like pictures. And they never get around adding any of this information. I cry all the time. Because they are ruining my life. I put all of my money into my business and rely on the web.

My site was supposed to cost 2999 it's now cost 2000 and still not done.

Sadly, it's companies like this that give us REAL designers/developers a bad name. What's worse is I have seen some of the "design" that people are paying this company thousands of dollars to "create" - I would be embarrassed to put my name to most of them, much less charge as much as they have for work my 8-year old kid could do.

And the timelines they promise? Not only unrealistic, but pathetic. I personally won't book more than 2, maybe 3 projects a MONTH because I know how much work goes into the design and development of a high-quality site - and more often than not I am working on two projects at a time (5-6 hours a day on one, then another 5-6 hours a day on the other). Even a mediocre site takes at least 3-4 weeks to complete - taking into account the time it takes to design mock-ups, get client approval (or implement changes requested, then resubmit for approval), code it, test it for compliance and compatibility.

Their "promised" turnaround times are just unrealistic - especially if they have a staff of sales reps charged with generating "at least $30K a day in sales" as one person put it on another complaint about this company. That's an average 10-15 sites A DAY - no wonder they can't meet their own deadlines!

Can't help but feel bad for the *many* people who have been sucked into this company's vacuum.

I am a web host, and it is really disturbing to hear these horror stories. Unfortunately, there are lots of so-called web designers preying on consumers.

I usually encourage my customers to do as much as they can on their own, but I am always available to help them at no additional charge. I also give out plenty of info on where they can find free stuff.

You should manage your own site, upload your own files. If something needs to be done quickly you don't want to be at the mercy of someone else who doesn't understand (or care about) the importance.

It is much better to separate your website needs into sections instead of one big package. Obtaining a domain name is separate from designing the website. Hosting is separate, as is site maintenance. You can easily register your domain name yourself. Shop around and find a registrar that doesn't cost much. Right now, I pay about $6 to register a domain name. You can get good hosting for $5 to $8 a month. That includes the ability to upload and edit your own files. You could pay someone to design your site, but it is fairly easy to do it yourself. If you are too busy, you could start off with a purchased template which might cost anywhere from $10 to $300. A far cry from the thousands being paid to lazy designers who are ripping you off.

I have got to put my 2 cents in here. I saw the comments here, on [redacted], and even on the BBB. I also read their terms of service all the way through.

The terms of service are the main reason I cancelled. I never agreed to them and no one in their right mind should agree to such one-sided terms. I encourage everyone to read these all the way through. They even have a clause that if you make a negative comment about them on any online forum that they will charge you a lot of money (don't remember the exact amount).

They also offer no form of product guarantee. The terms state that if you don't like the work they've done, they will make it live regardless of what the customer wants. In either case, they charge a 50% cancellation fee even if they have done absolutely no work on your site. If they have started any design work, then it becomes a 100% cancellation fee. They offer no consumer protection what-so-ever.

So I said I cannot agree to the terms and will not be using them. What did they do? They charged me 50% anyways and purchased my domain name. After a week of calling and emailing, I get an email saying it will cost $50 to get my domain name from them. A fee that was never mentioned by the "program directors" or in any communication from the company. I sent back an email saying if my money is not returned by tonight (this is after a week), then I would be charging them $100/day. See if that works. I finally get a call from Steve, a program director, trying to sell me on the fact that I need to pay them $50 for doing something I never authorized them to do (purchasing my domain name). I say no way, make my demand for the money again and he says he needs to forward this to his vice president.

Everyone keeps saying how cheap this place is. They wanted to charge me $700 for a 6 page site in HTML. I talked them down to $540. Now I have found someone who will do a flash and html site for $500 and I didn't need to sign or agree to any foolish terms of service. So much lowest price huh?

Again I strongly urge everyone to do their homework on this company, read all the complaints, especially read the terms of service, and don't let the sales people fool you.

Legal investigations should be demanded by the people who have bought their domain names through Hit They seem to be walking on a legal tight rope.

I suggest everyone reading this article check their website to determine if your the actual owner. It seems that HIT registers YOUR domain purchased from HIT actually registers the domain in their name.

Here's an easy step by step process to check your true domain ownership.

1. Go to the following URL http://www.networksolutions.com/whois/index.jsp

2. On the site input your website information - these steps assume you purchased your website from HIT or whatever they are calling themselves today.

3. Example: input "HITWEBDESIGN.COM" or whatever your websites real name is into the "Search all WHOIS Records" portion of the web page

4. In our example "HITWEBDESIGN.COM" is registered to:

Domain name: HITWEBDESIGN.COM

Now if you pay attention, it appears there may be some scheme going on in the background beyond what's on the surface. HIT registers domains that people buy from them in THEIR NAME, not your name. THIS MAKES HIT THE LEGAL OWNER OF YOUR WEB SITE, NOT YOU!

Why, well I suspect their killing you softly and stealing your property and reselling it under another business. Check out ENOM, INC and you will notice their very similar to HIT. I smell something really fishy going on with this company, and it goes well beyond what is seen.

The signs are all there, you just need pay attention. Scam companies typically will provide very little information pertaining to their actual owners. This is because angry people sometimes become VENGEFUL people.

Moral of the story is if HIT owns your website, tell them you want it registered in your name, not their name. Tell me what happens because I have a friend that's dealing with this issue right now.

Hey HIT, remember the guy who lives in D.C., my friend does not have his domain returned to his name yet. I plan to post and post and post and register complaints until this is resolved.

Can you hear me now? If not the next step is to visit some of our lovely congressional types on capital hill. I am curious what your company TAX records look like?

Maybe the IRS needs to take a hard look at your company as well?

POOR Business Processes
Spring, US
Dec 21, 2009 2:50 pm EST

This company is unbelievable in terms of how poorly they communicate with their customers, record customers work requests, and even working with one another on a customer's website. My time with this company has been overspent and unproductive. I paid for a website 5 pages for $600, which was expensive and I paid for a year hosting in advance at $150 for a total of $750 to HIT. My web design was complete for first week in December, but with a typographical error on a page, the BLOG incomplete, and hyperlinks on my home page deactivated. I've reported this problem for 3 weeks everyday since December 9 to December 21 and will continue complaining until the work is done. I can't get my account manager to return my phone messages or emails. I've tried contacting the web designer. I filed a complaint about my account manager to his manager. I submitted 3 weeks worth of requests to customer service trying to get them to complete my website to no avail. I have filed a complaint with the BBB and am trying to get the work done so I can move my business elsewhere. I knew this company was unethical and shabby at best when I asked a technical person to tell me whether my work request had been logged into their queue. He said yes. I asked if he knew when the work would be done. He said in a day or two. Then I told him that his information conflicted with 2 technical persons I spoke with previously. He changed his story and admitted he really didn't know the answer to my questions. I talked with a manager about this disingenuous person and the manager told me the company would fix my problems. He received approval from his manager and told me my problems would be fixed. That was 2 1/2 weeks ago and I learned the work wasn't even logged into their queue according to 3 different technical persons that I spoke with over the next 2 weeks.

I'm not concerned about the money as much as I am about how they handle their business. When you call in and the technical or customer support person shares information with you about your work activities, you'd better be careful believing the information. I have learned through 3 weeks of tried and tested conversations that HIT's work queue is not very clear to the the customer and technical support people. You can receive different information from one person to the next. Be prepared to spend hours upon hours managing your business with them. They do not confer with one another on your work, they ask you to call the person(s) assigned to your website and hound them. Although, you have no authority over their people's work, you are strongly requested to talk with them directly instead of customer service. When I asked why should I manage HIT's employee's time, the response I received is "BECAUSE IT'S YOUR WEBSITE."

As far as a contract, I received a Terms of Agreement. After reading it, I called HIT to use a condition for which I was suppose to receive for FREE. They told me that the contract I received was not fully applicable to me because I paid for a discounted package and not the BRONZE packet, for which my contract shows. Therefore, I could not receive the service I needed, according to my contact, because there is a variance between what I purchased versus what my contact states.

Also, you need to know that if you submit a work request, DO NOT do so over the phone. You need to submit it through the online process. You will never get your work done by talking to HIT over the phone. If you purchase their service, DO NOT think your account manager understands the contract or is even aware of the fact that you have one. You MUST talk with the account representative so that he/she can inquire from someone knowledgeable in the company to clarify your concerns and questions.

DO NOT give them a credit card that they can debit at will. They will debit your card even though the work is not done and they can't give you an ETA on completing the work.

Has anyone noticed that all the responses posted by Hit Management are identical? They have one or two form letters that they slightly modify to fit whatever complaint they are addressing at a particular time... One starts "it is in our best interest to work with customers..." and the other one starts "At Hit Web Design we are committed"... Just check the messages s/he has sent and you'll see!

This is yet another proof that they couldn't care less about the customer... Not even for this they take the time to really dig into what's going on...

Anyone for a civil suit?

It is in our best interest to work with customers who have complaints in order to reach a reasonable and fair resolution and establish a long term business relationship. One of the core values of HIT Web Design is to demonstrate our respect and commitment to all of our clients. In most cases, Heritage goes beyond what is fair for the company to satisfy a displeased client.

While HIT is committed to establish long-term business relationships with each of our clients, there is no such thing as a complaint-free company. Research any large company and you will find complaints posted about them on the Internet. You will also discover other "one-sided" Terms of Services.

If you have a specific complaint or concern, please communicate directly with me at QCA@hitwebdesign or CEO@hitwebdesign.com.
My personal promise to you is that HIT Wed Design will be completely fair and equitable with you.

i am a victim as well ... such one sided terms must be ended . i started submitting content and they say this automaticaly say`s that i agree i didn`t recieve the terms in the mail for quiet sometime after i signed up . I should of saw the red flags when the day after i signed up i went on the web to find heritage now hit web designs and found a page full of compliants . i am a new company and money is tight . after i signed up all these expense`s enhanchements they call them . were expenseive and just kept adding up on my balance. they didnt tell me about a site map for 8 weeks at least .and then that cost three hundred dollars. they now have turned off my website in the middle of the summer . do you or anyone see how turning off a website helps anyone make money ? how do they expect payment when they are keeping me from making money? are they this stupid, term 11 clients approval, i never gave the final go ahead. term 26 90 gaurantee. whern does this start if you dont give the final go a head? i have kept notes on this hit webdesign since march 26th when the complaint page poped up ...anyone care to hear my notes. i am shocked that they feel by turning off my website will get them money any faster ...i could go on for a very long time . but it feels good to vent

Hit Web Design - Formerly heritage web solution fraudulent company

They've changed their name from heritage web solutions to hit web design. They automatically charge you for web hosting to the tune of 39. 99 a month when they haven't designed the website for you yet. It took six months to get it done and i was charged for every month even though it was in their hands. It's criminal. . . They also have you send...

Hit Web Design overcharged

I spent over two thousand dollars for 2 sites with the above company and the sites look like crap. The forum is not original it was taken from mybb for free but they charged me so much. Customer service can mislead you into spending money into getting things that they cannot even design. They have so many complaints on them everywhere so beware of this Company. I know another person personally who have the same problem because I was introduce to Heritage by that person before the site was done.

Well, my problem is that I did a direct from my account deal, not through a credit card... hmmm... I never thought about it until now, but I may be able to get the bank records and see if my bank can do anything. I am doubtful, but worth a shot I guess.

I do have deliberations through the BBB going on right now, maybe I will get something resolved through them.

Oh, and one other thing for everyone out there, I just recently found out the have changed their name to Hit Web, so eveyone look out for this too!

I too went through this with them. Luckily I didn't spend quite as much as you, nearly a grand though. I have a complaint with them waiting response from the BBB and am hoping something might get done that way. I tried threatening them with lawyers and such since they ceased work on my site, but refused to refund the money stating it was because of the time invested. I thought this was a load of crap becaus i had something up in about a week that was designed and looked like hell! I could tell they really didn't take much time to get it done right. There were mistakes that I couldn't get them to fix. I was, as you had mentioned, told that if I updated (spent more money), they could do more with it that might meet my approval. I guess they were telling me then that they were only giving me what they thought I deserved for the "great deal" they had given me. I think they operate on the basis hat they promise you the world at a cheap price to get you into their trap. Then, by the time you figure out that the world they promised is empty and barron, you are pretty much screwed. You either invest hundreds more to get the bells and whistles, or try to make it with the piece of crap "discounted" site you paid for.

I have been doing my best to make sure that everyone knows that if they do business with this company, they might as well expect to dish out a few grand if they want anything that may be worth putting on line.

Hit Web Design unauthorized charges

I spoke to sepideh hanks at heritage web solutions on friday (1/23/09) regarding website design and hosting. She sold me on their services over the phone and emailed me the contract to sign. When I received the contract it was entirely different than what was previously stated over the phone.

I immediately called back heritage web solutions and was told sepideh had left for the evening. I told the gentleman to cancel my account effective immediately. He assured me that there would be no charges to my debit card and that the account had been closed.

Today (1/26/09) I checked my bank account online and there was $170.00 debited to my account. I have been on the phone for the last hour with 6 different people from heritage web solutions and they refuse to credit back the $170.

Anyone considering doing business with this company needs to beware. They are thieves!

Heritage Web Solutions has not only *not* finished contracted work 2 months out from the stated finish date but they continue to put huge charges on our company credit card for which there was no agreement.

Otherwise called THEFT.

Credit Card company was notified and stated they "cannot stop the charging" you can only dispute them, even if they are reported as fraudulent in nature. Its a Dickensian nightmare.

I have never seen dealt with a company that so consistently flirts with fraud and outright fraud so persistently without being busted.

Same here,
9 months after the happy happy sales person sold me on a promise of a 4 to 6 week completion date
{without any explanation mind you about project size or intricacy -sneaky huh? I didn't hear about that till a MONTH after I signed my contract, though I gave them an outlined design and explanation of what I wanted on day 1- otherwise how could they quote me a price?}
and 700 dollars plus tons of stress and anger later. I had to walk away too.
I finally figured out they were never going to give me a site that worked without issues. This, after I'd lost my momentum, integrity with my peers {who were promised a completion date numerous times that came and went}, and the desire to even have a website.

My experience with this company sucked so bad it's almost unbelievable. I have no idea how they are in business. I have my own business and if I pulled any of what they pulled on me during that 9 months I'd have my ear yelled off. And rightfully so.

It's insane. They must have magicians and [censored]e working for them somewhere. Only their magicians can't finish websites.
Be warned.

zuesfl - How can a chargeback benefit you if it HARMS you? ANYTIME you file a chargeback it affects your credit in a negative way, and when you LOSE a chargeback if affects your credit severely! You can get nicked on your credit up to 20 points for a chargeback! So if you lose a chargeback, you not only lose your money but get a negative nick on your credit score as well.

How can this be seen as a positive thing?

There are other ways to make your opinion heard.

I strongly disagree with your stance on chargebacks! I have to say, that large companies need to know that we the consumers are in charge! The quickly forget who hands them money and pays their salary!

I think it is time that consumers stand up and be counted! We need to use the tools that we have at our disposal! One of those great tools are chargebacks! We can use them to punish companies that we don't like and take away their ability to have credit card transactions, and in the end take away their ability to do business!

So don't be afraid to do a chargeback or two! You are exercising your right, power and privilege as a consumer!

DON'T TAKE CIGSM's ADVICE! without thinking hard about it!

The problem with doing charge backs on a credit card is, even if you WIN the chargeback you get a negative on your credit score. That's right, they actually penalize you for filing a charge back even if it is totally righteous and you have been scammed. I'd recommend trying to work it out with the company first before filing any kind of chargeback.

And recommending someone to file a chargeback after ONE DAY of "dispute" is incredibly irresponsible. If the company hasn't given you your money back, then try to work it out through their system. After looking at them, they have been in business for a while now (2000) which means they are probably legit and if you DIDN'T get your money back it was probably some kind of misunderstanding.

Wow that's really sad. First of all, contact your bank & do a charge back. If you did it through a debit card with a Visa or Mastercard logo, they'll charge the amount back to Heritage & they dont take kindly to businesses that steal customers money. After a certain amount of charge backs, they're ability to accept payment throuhg that vendor (Visa or Mastercard) is LOST.

Secondly, contact your bank about the unauthorized charges. They don't take kindly to that either. They normally will have you fill out a form stating what happened, then sick their fraud department on them.

Third, contact www.consumerist.com with your story. They'll post it for their millions of readers to see so they don't get swindled either.

Fourth, take them to small claims court. Since they're doing business in your state (via the internet), it will be too expensive to send a rep or a lawyer to your state to fight it, so most likely you'll get a default judgment. If they DID send a rep or lawyer for your small claims court date, you just have to give your evidence to the judge. He'll make them pay you back + interest + damages (not having that money, etc etc).

Good luck!

Hit Web Design Refuse to refund deposit

I have contacted this company for a website design. They agreed to build a website for me for $1350 and asked for a deposit 0f 450.00 which I paid the same day. When I realized that the website was not being created after 3 weeks, I asked for my money back so that I could go to a different company. They refused to refund my deposit under the pretext that they usually ask for half of the amount and since my 450 was less than half of 1350 they cannot refund my money. Please stay away from that company

Hit Web Design Internet web building fraud and scam

This company is the truest of crooks... Please save your selfs. There is no lower # then a company that feeds and steels from new small business owners. Heritage web solutions specializes in getting your money and frustrating you until you leave. I have hundreds of emails and documents and over 200 hours of wasted time to end up out $1, 300 to mark strong who has stolen tens of thousands of dollars from people like you and me. He will simply send a copy of his terms of service. Heritage web solutions terms of service is over 50 paragraphs of your out of luck. It even says they don’t have to finish the site at all if they don’t want to. I am not kidding. And be careful! They slip it by when you describe what you want for a website... After that your out at least $59 per month for 12 months in hosting fees period!

I will paste a letter he sent me below that says if you want to go to small claims court you need to come to utah. You see he knows its not worth the trip and bam he keeps on steeling! This # offered me and my business partner $200 because the other $1, 100 should be his for having to email me?

Again save yourselfs from pure hell and #!

Dear mr. Rose,

When you accepted heritage's terms of service http://www.heritagewebdesign.com/tos.html on april 2, 2008 you accepted the essence of the third (3rd) paragraph in the account termination agreement. See section 41.

The purpose of the account termination agreement is simply to put in concise terms the provisions of unwinding our relationship. Heritage doesn't need an additional signed account termination agreement. It is as much for your protection as heritage's.

It is now your call as to what you want to do. Our position has already been stated: $200 refund and release of heritage's work to you. If this is not acceptable, then have your attorney communicate with heritage at:

Heritage web solutions

Provo, utah 84604

Attn: legal department

As a professional courtesy, please make your attorney aware of section 43 of the tos. It establishes the courts in the state of utah as the courts having jurisdiction in all legal matters. It states:

43. Jurisdiction.

This agreement shall be governed exclusively by the laws of the state of utah, usa, without regard to any conflicts of laws provisions thereof, as a contract entered into and performed entirely within the state of utah. The parties herby expressly disclaim the application of the united nations convention on the international sale of goods. Any disputes between the parties relating to the subject of this agreement shall be submitted exclusively to the jurisdiction of the state or federal courts located in the state of utah, counties of utah or salt lake, and the parties expressly consent to personal jurisdiction and venue therein and waive any objection based on forum non convenient or otherwise.

Should you decide to litigate in any other jurisdiction, hws will engage legal counsel in that jurisdiction. However, hws will not litigate the merits of the case. Our legal counsel will have the jurisdiction referred to utah. This “jurisdiction” provision has been challenged in the courts before and the courts have consistently upheld this provision.

It is hoped that we can terminate this relationship amicably and promptly.

Please advise.

I am sure I could find a cheaper hosting price but they have been solid for us and call every couple of months to check up.

Let say that I am also among the unhappy customers that have been cheated by a web site designer company. In a few words, I have payed 100% of the cost and I got nothing in return. It looks like the contract that I have signed is very one sided (the company can deliver, charge and make changes of the contract at their pleasure) and litigation is actually a binding arbitration. Anyone knows what can be done in these cases, the cost might exceed the site value and I do not know how arbitration works in these cases where a company, even when it does not deliver, is quite protected by a one sided contract. (Even if it did not deliver the product)

I want to join a class action law suit-- if anyone else is still intersted on this board, please contact me. I have had a recent terrible issue with them and want to speak with former HWS consumers.

Thank you!

I too had an issue with Heritage. After many months of poor quality designs and lack of communication, I found a great web design company. 7 day web design. They were fast and reasonably priced. I do not know how to link to them but do a google search.

Many times, potential customers do not know what quality they will be receiving. That is why our company, Avanix Web, offers free draft designs.

Please visit www.avanixweb.com and fill out our simple form if you are interested. We have created many websites for small businesses and we start from $299. Unfortunately, we cannot match Heritage's rock bottom $199 ;)

If anyone decides to sue please contact me also. I have my entire 9 month case documented { My business partner was a lawyer- I talked him out of suing months ago out of naivety and I feel too bad to go back and ask him now...BUT! my entire case is highly organized anyway as a result. I also have a signed contract from the CEO with a clearly stated deadline that was ridiculously missed.}

I'll check back here periodically. Please leave me a note. I'm interested in being involved.
If only to help other people who are still out there to get taken advantage of and stressed out beyond belief and have their impetus stomped, as we've had.

Remember that gut clenching feeling when you first realized who Heritage Web really was {after the first or second time the dic-ed you around blatantly} and you realized you were so screwed? When all you wanted was a freaking website- and you were paying for it too!
Ugh.

I don't think this company has any intention of changing.

Leave me a note.

Oh i'm over hear really really upset now. I have been thinking the were playing us all a long and reading all these things confirms it. They're ### and they're big lairs. They made promises to do things that they didn't finish. They promised two months of free hosting and we still have no finished website? How is that truly free? I wonder if we all can join together and get a lawyer to do a class action law suit. It just makes no sense that someone can continue to cheat people out of their money like that.

Well, I work for these guys. Their setup is a lot different than you think. Here's the lowdown.

1) They take on jobs and place them in a queue with the name, location, type of job, and the price paid.

2) Contract developers in the relevant field and at the relevant skill level take on the project.

3) It is up to the contractor to get the job done while the bean counters at the top try to protect their investment.

4) The contractor is supposed to contact the client (and stay in contact) and have it done by the "due date" (for each segment, depending on how complicated and large the project is).

5) The site must be approved by the supervisor at each stop (graphic, php, database, HTML, etc) and then by the client.

6) Lastly, the webmasters at the very top of the food chain must approve the job.

This is a very redundant system that relies on the honestly of the developers (contractors), the supervisors, and the management. They do have serious quality control standards.

When you have trouble with them, it's usually because either your project didn't get picked up or the person who did pick it up was a flake. I make a pretty penny picking up "dropped" projects, getting paid the entire price for a few days of work.

When I take on a project, I always put my best effort into it, making sure the client is especially happy with the product. That said, I've also seen more than one developer flake out after getting hired by a "real company". We don't make that much money either BTW, maybe the equivalent of $15 - $20hr.

So, we're taking it on our end as well. I can't blame you for being angry, nor can I blame a poorly paid developer for going after a better paying job. That's just how the world works ... everyone's trying to make a buck.

I hope you all have better luck in the future. Using any "discount" service is definitely hit and miss.

Hit Web Design Do not work with this

I hired hws to design a website for me in early may. I was very careful about explaining the details of the website to matthew kenison (sales associate). I drafted up a rough outline and block diagram of what I wanted on each page along with a detailed description of the functionality, all of which I explained to matthew on the phone. Matthew gave me his assurance that they could do the project for around $1, 200. Being bleary of working with a company in another state I made him structure in some payment milestones. I gave them a third down with a third due in a week and a half with the final third due upon my approval of the site. I gave them several documents to use for artwork and pictures along with a link to my corporate website to use as a design guide.

The project was suppose to take 3 weeks to complete. 2 days in to the project I was contacted by an account manager (jay scoby) who immediately started up-selling more features and services. Some of the items he was selling made sense for me so I agreed to the items being added at a cost of $800. I asked jay if that was in addition to what the pricing matthew had quoted to me or if the quote would change, he said he was unaware of what matthew had quoted be but would check into it.

Shortly after the above call jay called again informing me of a special offer to prepay for a year of hosting for some more add-ons. The add-ons were appealing so I signed up for the year of hosting for $524. I again asked for clarification on the previous $800 and a revised quote and he said he would get it resolved.

3 weeks went by and I was not contacted by hws, I called to find out where the project was at and was told I would be contacted by a designer. 1 week later I was contacted by the designer and in another week I finally got to see a draft web page which was nothing more than an entry page and a run-of - the-mill main page with a few graphics on it. Absolutely none of the functionality I asked for was coded into the page after 5 weeks! Sound like stall tactics?

I am not an idiot and I recognize crap when I smell it so I pulled the plug on the project and asked for a refund which I have not seen to this date. 5 plus weeks had passed and I had been given nothing but promises and the run around and the fact that they tried to force me into some cookie cutter website in terms of functionality was evidence enough that hws was not capable of delivering what they promised.

This is a terrible company who promises the world, takes the money ($2, 100), and then fails to return my emails or phone calls so this can be resolved. I wish I would of researched this company before I agreed to anything with them. You've been warned!

If any one is interested in the email strings between myself and heritage I will happily forward them.

I see that Brad Stone put his name on another. I hope that you will find this and let us all know how things went with Mr. Stone.

I had dealings directly with him through emails also. None of the emails I sent to him were answered, rather he would have someone else contact me and give me more run around. I had dealt with them for over a year with no website completed. I was told that I would get a free domain name from them, which I sent my choice of to them, and never got it either. All this company seems to be able to do is stall!

Hit Web Design Ripped off!

I paid Heritage Web Design $700 last February to create a NEW site for my candle business. They are in the "top 1%" so I figured they must be good, right? NOT! Once they have your money, forget it. For $700 I got a copy of the site that I myself created with some pink background and a candle graphic. I sent them a box, yes mailed them information, including pamphlets, brochures, pictures, candles, soaps, etc., (approximately $50 worth of product) hoping it would help create the mood for my site. Well, the receptionist 'supposedly' stole the samples because my designer never received it. Since she never received the box she built a site that had a black background and flowers? I emailed my 'account manager' and he just switched designers. So, in MAY my site was finally up and running and I was SUPER disappointed. It was nothing like what I had explained to them. I felt powerless because from that point on they have been so rude to me. Anyway, I built my own site and have one more month with this company stealing my $30 to host a site I haven't used since last July. BEWARE! They will steal your hard earned money and treat you like crap.

I have given this company a year to produce a website to my liking(design was great) CONTENT was awful. This company will do what needs to be done in order to obtain all of the money, but not maintenance, zero customer support, ridiculous prices. I am shocked this company can still function with the numerous amounts of complaints available online. I only wish I had done a bit of research prior to wasting over two thousand dollars on nothing short of a scam.

I paid this company $350 down and $100 / Month to make a web site. I contacted H.I.T. Web Designs around the June 5th to put together a website for me. The experience started out pretty well until I actually needed to start the work. I have had conversations with:

Sean Jackson ( Customer Sevice Supervisor)
Carlos ( Senior Customer Service Agent)
Ryan Smith (account manager)
Kozy Antoine ( Web Designer)
David Akins ( President )

So far I have had one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had at the hands of this staff. Includeing repeated promises to have someone contact me to discuss the content and design concepts I want incorporated in my site. Promises that were not fulfilled. I am writing to you because I have no other place to turn.

My last contact with the staff was with and E-mail to the President of the Co. who I never got any response. 7 Day days ago, I asked for a refund and thye refused, citing that the site is already too far along to grant this request and that he will have someone contact me immediately. That was Monday, June 28th and I have yet to hear from anyone. As soon as they have your money, you can forget them servicing you. They will build a website from a Template and that will be the end of them. BEWARE, BEWARE!

I wish I had researched Hit Web Design more, before deciding to choose them. They have over 500 complaints on the BBB!

First off, things may sound reasonable and cheap, and that is because, throughout the course of building your site, they nickel and dime you for EVERYTHING. IF you want buttons to change colors $200, you want a site map $200. Now, it all depends on what you know when purchasing a website, but had they told me in the beginning what was best for me, I would have known all these little charges!

For weeks, I had spent money and countless hours creating a photo gallery that I purchased through them, that never worked, and still, 2 months later, I'm stuck on these galleries. The irony is, Hit Web Design will only do one project at a time, so my website is at a standstill until they can FIX the PROBLEM. If I could just cancel with them, I would.

No one there is accountable for anything. You can not, and will not ever be transferred to someone of authority. If you ask for a manager, you will get an email address. What kind of place is this! You will spend days, and weeks trying to get someone to understand your problem, but even so, that person has to report to someone else, and it is a joke.

My account manager goes missing for days, unless I want to add money or an enhancement, and then he is magically at work.

I wrote the CEO and even the person that was assigned to help me, has not returned my emails or calls.

Since every piece of your website is handled by someone different, it takes a miracle to have one person know what is going on. You call tech support, and they are clueless. You call customer service, and they are clueless.

Buyer Beware, I will NEVER do business or recommend HIt Web Design to anyone.

I started a site with this company last year and the nightmares began almost as soon as I signed the contract. We began the construction phase in April of 2008 and the site - a writers workshop - took 6 months to complete and was nearly double the price I had signed on for by the time they had finished hitting me with ‘up grades’ and ‘add ons’.

A very long story short – the site to this day has never worked right. Getting even the smallest of issues attended to was like pulling teeth and was always an added expense.

At one point the person assigned as my personal account manager left the company - no one informed me for two months. Two months I was sending him e-mails and voice mails asking when the next problem would be solved and at no time did anyone bother to mention that the guy wasn't even there any more!

I was never assigned a new account manager or primary contact person.

I haven’t been able to even log into my site for over 6 weeks, the password were corrupted ‘somehow’ and my issue has been moved up to the mystical “tier two tech support”. I am not even sure they exist on this mortal plane, since no one has yet to return a call or attempted to contact me in 6 WEEKS.

This company makes sleazy Used Car Salesmen look honest.

I payed $440 for a website with Heritage Web Design. They agreed to do the work with flash animation, before the work could start i had to pay 50% upfront and sign an online agreement. As soon as i payed and agreed the company decided to change the pricing for the work and increase the total desisng amount. I discussed witht hem that they couldnt do the work as agreed and couldnt f=provide the work in time so we both agreed to cancel and i was offered a full refund. I was very impressed by there manner and deiced that i would use them again the next the few months for a different project so they kept the 50% ($220) and froze my details..or so i thought. Within 2 weeks the called and emailed to tel lme they would bill my account a monthly amount of $20 for hosting. I called to enquire what they were hosting as the account didnt exist. After many calls and exchanges they acknowledged that it was wrong and no billing would occur. Within a week or so they took the 2nd 50% (another $220) unautherised from my account. They now held $440 of my funds. I called them to ask why and could i speak to someone in accounts to get the full 100% refunded to minimalise any future monetory mistakes on their part. For 4 days i spke to a memeber of staff who kept passing on messages to a superviser named Josh who refused to contact me. Eventually i got through to someon in Accounts who told me Jason was a supervisor who was on the same level and he could refund the moneys owed. Jason was contentious and refused to deal wtih the account issue only passing me back to Josh who i had already stated i was not happy dealing with. Prior to Jason handing me back he told me he was only going to refund me the 2nd unauthorised deduction from my account ($220). His reason was that i had agreed online to wortk being done. I discussed and reported to them that there had been absolutely no work undertaken by the company for them to keep my money.. No servies had been exchanged and they had already agreed to refund the initial money held. They refused to give me my moeny back. I requested a contact name or direct private email for the CEO of the company which they refused to give me. I threatened them with legal action, the response i got was an email asking me to go to BBB arbitration. I couldnt believe the hostility and unprofessional manner in which they had conducted themselves. They knew initially that i had planned to do several projects with them and as an act of good faith i had kept monees with them to return but there actions now would lose a customer and several projects. The two supervisors i spoke with told me they were the topline of management and the opnly person they answered to was the CEO.. I was stunned! To date i havent had any money returned. These two guys who say they are supervisors are hostile idiots who shouldnt be in a position of management or authority, they have no idea how strategy and busioness work and seem tot hink that good customer service is applying a 'mormon' like tone of voice with the customer. I strongly suggest caution in doing business with this company and would definately withhodl any funds until work is done and agreed.

I was talking with a guy named Tom at heritage web designs and we had an agreement and I sent the deposit of 280.00 and after they received the money I got a link from them and I clicked on the link to get on the website, and I called the web designer ( Randy) to go over some stuff that I had no idea what it was so, I got to talking with randy about the design and he told me they were going to charge me an extra 300.00 to put my pics on the site, when I already had an agreement with the salesman that called me like 200 times in 1 week his name was tom. Anyway all I can say is that they are not sending my 280.00 deposit back. I called them like 10 times in 1 week and with no responce I finally called them and they comfirmed that I was not getting the money. Be careful and do not use this company they are a scam.

I also got (am being) ripped off by HIT. I am now fighting to get my $370 deposit back. I also cannot get anyone on the phone to release my domain name (which I purchased elsewhere) so I can publish my web site with another provider.

When I originally contacted this company to help me with an ecommerce store, they called me back very quickly. I was impressed! We discussed what I wanted & what they could do & the timeframe in which they could do it. I was quoted $800 – but if I signed up today, the price would be $700 & that would include a logo design. To make a long story short, I submitted my web page content and didn’t hear back from anyone. This was a month after the initial phone call. I left voice mails & emails with several people but got no responses. I decided to start digging around for complaints on the company. My bad – I should have done that first! I looked at the BBB site (HIT is rated a C-). Found the name of Mark Strong as one of the owners. It also had a link to his email (mark@hitwebdesign.com & mark@hwsinet.com) & listed his phone number [protected]). I sent him a nasty gram – indicating that I have put my charges into dispute with my credit card company. I received an email back indicating that he would check into it. I finally got a call back from a designer & he indicated he was not responsible for getting my product pages laid out like I requested. That’s when I put the entire process on hold & decided to cancel everything. I did get a logo design out of Markus. All he did was straighten out some lines on the logo I sent him. It was OK – but I was not impressed.

I called their Customer No Service department today. I was told that my account shows a canceled status and that it has been escalated to Technical Support Agent Level II – whatever that means. He could not transfer me to anyone in that department – nor was he allowed to transfer me to Mark Strong.

So – I am still fighting this issue.

Run away! please do not sign anything with them, read all the complaints, I wish I had seen all the comments before I signed with them. Heritage Web Solutions has been so bad and carries such a bad rep that the only solution was to change their name to Hit Web Design. the problems are still there, my site never made it off the ground, and they kept trying to get me to purchase more add ons to make it "better".

Hit Web Design scam company!

My nightmare began May 9th when I hired Heritage Web Solutions to design my new internet business. Unfortunately, I did not search for complaints against Heritage Web Solutions on the internet. Being the optimistic type, I was only searching for professional web designers and hosting companies that seemed reliable, trained, and professional. My final decision to hire this company was based on their extensive and impressive internet advertisements.

They sounded great, but little did I know at the time, that they had no intentions of helping me build a marketable web business that would produce income. I was only money to them! They did not live up to their promises, and it has cost me a lot of money, valuable time, and unnecessary stress! I was so upset that I could not sleep and all I did was cry. I am a hardworking, self sufficient, single Mom who is counting on this business for extra income to pay for my daughter's college tuition next year!

However, after dealing with them for two weeks it became apparent that I had made a huge mistake in putting all of my confidence and money into Heritage Web Solutions. By the third week, I had figured out all of their scheming business tactics. They are so good at lying and deceiving people, they probably conduct mandatory 'scam training classes' for all of their employees.

In essence, I paid them $850.00 for a website and shopping cart to be setup. I paid them another $300.00 for a logo (which was a couple of pieces of clip art stuck together, and they didn't even use my company name as instructed.)

After two bad attempts of getting a cheap and ugly logo, I told them, to forget it, but they would not refund my money because according to their contract, if they did any work at all, my money would not be refunded. The account manager assured me that I would not have to pay for it until they designed something I liked, but my card was billed the very next day.

That same day, I also purchased 4 dibs (scroll boxes) for a total of $200.00 to go on the first page, but that never happened as planned, because the totally wrong layout they chose, would not incorporate it, so they put one dip on first page and that caused the whole page to scroll, instead the whole plan was to have them accent the individual topics so they could be seen right away.

Then they just put each topic one after the other, at the bottom of the page , therefore; no one could see what was available unless they took the time to keep scrolling way down the page! I added a $300.00 forum, and a $125.00 calendar, which no work was ever done at all concerning these two items, because I did not approve the useless layout of the design. The more they worked the more chopped up it became.

This would never have happened, if they had listened to what I needed and wanted in the first place. I have several emails of what I wanted my website to look like, what I needed it to do, and what I wanted, and my color choices. They asked me for all of this information in the beginning, stating they could not start work without it, but they apparently did not look over and read any of it.

Did anyone ever take anything I stated into consideration? No! They did exactly what they wanted to do, and tried to get me to approve a website with two home pages, slowly loading full pages and half pages, all done with the wrong layout! The entire left side of the design was useless and bare.

To make a long story short, they are not qualified to produce the results they advertise. They also do not live up to what they tell you on the phone. They would call me and talk a good game, but then still not produce or listen to my important input. Since they couldn't design the right website within the 4 week time frame they promised, I was billed $49.00 for June hosting too.

All in all, I paid them a total of $1,524.99 and I am still not in business, because I will not accept a website that is not built to support my business. I would be ashamed for anyone to visit that site.
Anyway, I ended up sending an email to the owner and this is his reply below: (for privacy purposes I have deleted my last name)

Dear Ms. ******

I will bring your concern to the attention of the V.P. of design and ask him to look into it. If the work is shoddy, then Heritage will remedy it. If we are 'chasing a ghost', then our best efforts have to be sufficient.

Jeremy, will you please review this account and see that we communicate with Ms. Story.

Respectfully,

Mark Strong
Heritage Web Solutions

Please note, the use of Mr. Strongs his arrogant words. The email confirmed that I was correct in my observation of their sleazy and uncaring business practices, and compounded by biggest fear that the deception goes straight to the top of the corporate ladder! Again, they had no intentions to do a good job. They were also not 'chasing a ghost.' What I wanted, paid for, and expected, was not impossible by any means! They take and keep people's money by hiding behind their terms of agreement. As far as I am concerned, the minute they billed my credit card, they 'accepted my terms of agreement' meaning that would to live up to their promises and what they advertised to get my business.

In the email I sent to Mr. Strong, I forwarded one letter that I had sent to a supervisor. In the email, I went into great detail about everything I had been through to date and again had to waste more time in explaining how I wanted each page to look and what I needed each page of my site to do. Week before last, I got tired of sounding like a broken record, and going being stressed to the max, so I sent an another email to Mr. Strong explaining that I no longer wanted their services or wanted to ever have to deal with their company again, and asked for a refund.

He did respond by stating that I could not be refunded any money due to the fact that I agreed to their terms of service. As for that, I abided by the contract in paying them for a custom website, it was them that did live up to the terms of agreement, so why should I settle for less than what I paid for and they promised?

At present I have hired another company to build my website, but I am in no way going to allow them to get away with what they did to me, and hopefully be able to make sure this does not happen to anyone else. So if anyone is in the process of suing them, etc. Please let me know and I will help you in anyway I can win your case too.

I will not go into all the details of everything; it would take all night to write it all! I just want to warn as many people as possible before they believe in this company and end up being scammed! Please investigate, check out, and get references before hiring a company that advertises on the internet.

This evening Mr. Strong sent me an email saying that, as per their terms of agreement, I was not entitled to any refund. He went on to state that they would work me until I was satisfied. After 10 weeks, I am tired of hearing this same promise, and after 10 weeks of being nervous and stressed over all the delays and uncaring staff at his company, I have decided, I will not allow myself to be a victim of their shady business practices any longer. I will not allow them to continue to destroy my mental health and my business! I will do whatever it takes to see that justice is done in my favor! I will no longer continue to give away money to a cold, ruthless, man! Again, if I can be of help to anyone else, let me know.

People have been scammed and defrauded. Attempting to profit there from is inappropriate.
Anyone who wishes can prepare a site for free at http://demo.joomla.org/ It has been designed for non-programmers to get their sites up quickly and easily. Within minutes or the same day your site is up and running. The site you create will look professionally prepared for free.

You can do social sites, e-commerce sites, and much much more.
Who uses Joomla?
MTV Quizilla
Here are just a few examples of Web sites that use Joomla:
* MTV Networks Quizilla (Social networking) - http://www.quizilla.com
* IHOP (Restaurant chain) - http://www.ihop.com
* Harvard University (Educational) - http://gsas.harvard.edu
* Citibank (Financial institution intranet) - Not publicly accessible
* The Green Maven (Eco-resources) - http://www.greenmaven.com
* Outdoor Photographer (Magazine) - http://www.outdoorphotographer.com
* PlayShakespeare.com (Cultural) - http://www.playshakespeare.com
* Senso Interiors (Furniture design) - http://www.sensointeriors.co.za

Check out their sample sites and portfolios at http://community.joomla.org/showcase/
A Joomla site through the Demo is hosted for the first 30 days for free on cloudaccess.net. You can move your site to any hosting company you desire.

If you need to add a feature to your site like a shopping cart the add-ons are free or have minimal costs of $0-$30. If you wish to change something the software helps you do that for free. If there is a feature that you would like and there is not an add-on available, you can make a request for help. The costs are reasonable. There are no high pressured sales people to worry about.

Joomla is type of software that allows companies like isowebworks and PPCmanagementllc to produce a website for your review quickly. They are not building your site nor coding to build your site. They use free open source packages like Joomla to build the sites. This software is available to the public (you) for free. Why pay someone else to do this when you can do it yourself with ease and for free. Before you pay someone to build your site give Joomla a try.

Joomla is a free open source content management system (CMS). Some companies put there name on top of the CMS and call it their product when in fact it is the work of many who have devoted their time to the free open source development projects.

We are not against anyone choosing to pay someone to create the sites using Joomla. We are only against not giving credit to the free open source community who actually developed the programs such as Joomla and disclosing its usage to the public.

Because of the short amount of time it takes to build a site with Joomla, use care when paying someone to build your site. Make sure they have actually built sites from scratch and understand CSS, XML, HTML, JavaScript, PHP, Perl, and AJAX at a minimum. Make sure they have and are building some sites from scratch or have disclosed to you that they only use a CMS. Make sure it is disclosed in your contract if they will build the code themselves and have qualified programmers or use free open source software.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT:
1. Never sign a contract that does not provide a full refund if you are not satisfied with the product or service.
2. Make sure that you do not pay for hosting until your site is live and functioning the way you requested.
3. Make sure that you ”own” your site code with no strings attached except payment for the building of the site as agreed to in writing.
4. Never sign an agreement that does not require a deadline for building the site or provides for phased rollout with deadlines of features. You can even request that there is a penalty for each day the site is past the due date to motivate the completion of the site.
5. Never agree to jurisdiction outside of your own state or country.
6. Never agree that the full price as been earned or is due unless the site is built to your satisfaction.
7. Make sure you have documentation of what is in scope of your request and what is out of scope for your request. Get it in writing.
8. Never let anyone pressure into purchasing anything. Tell them that you need to review it with your partners and that until you have your partner”s sign off you can not make the purchase. Then take the time to research and review the information before you buy. Get a family member or trusted friend to be your partner in helping you make the decision. Get three opinions before you buy. If you are uncomfortable in any way don’t buy. It is better to wait than be sorry.
9. Always read the terms of the agreement before you sign. If you don’t like the terms you can change them. Any company that is unwilling to work with you on the terms is giving you a sign of what is ahead. Run don’t walk away from a company that is unwilling to work with your terms.

FYI: The Heraldextra did not check out any facts and therefore its new release is flawed and primarily the words of a criminal defense attorney as well as other releases using this information.

One must ask who Sonny Olsen actually represents? Kevin Morrill i.e. isowebworks etc or Heritage Management Services, LLC aka Heritage Web Solutions aka Hit Web Design aka David Aiken, Mark Strong, Leah Young, Eddie Dockery, Bradford Stone? Remember that Kevin Morrill was a key management member of HIT and is family related to David Aiken. He claims to have quit March 4, 2011, the day that employees at Hit were made aware of the lies that were being told. Kevin claims to start up a new company within 4 days with 20 new employees from HIT. That takes a lot of capital, equipment, software and leads etc.

Why has Sonny Olsen participated in a campaign to clear Kevin Morrill and isowebworks. Isn’t this a conflict of interest?

Kevin Morrill told employees he was in the same boat as them. Kevin did not sleep in his car in the freezing cold because he was locked out of his apartment because he was not paid his wages. Kevin Morrill did not beg for patience to keep a roof over his head because he was not paid his waged for weeks and weeks. Kevin Morrill was paid.

One must ask how much money was taken from people under false or misrepresentation of products or services when the tax bill is 17.1 million. If 17.1 is representative of a 20 percent tax that would make the take $204 million dollars from around the world. Not to mention the Hatti donations that HIT took from its employees and the public. No one has released any confirmation that the funds taken in for Hatti actually went to Hatti.

HIT’s web pages for sales leads remained up and running for days before posting a notice of its closing.

Any former customer of HIT who has been contacted by Isowebworks, PPC Management or any related company should contact the Utah County Attorney’s office directly.

Ask yourself if the same people are running a new company with the same equipment, the same people, the same software that they have placed their new logo on, why would you expect different results?

I totally agree that their customer service is terrible. As a past employee I noticed that I could barely get in touch with someone about something concerning a project I was working on. It seemed that most of the customers were alwasy yelling at me about how bad their customer service was. Although there were many a days that I went way out of my way to help customers no matter what it took because I thought I would be doing HIT design a favor by helping these people.

I had several customers say that they were really happy with me and my work and that HIT design should have been thankful for having me as an employee. I got great responses from almost all the customers I designed or updated a site. Currently I'm no longer an employee of HIT design because they said that a customer complained about getting one of my e-mails for my business. HIT design said that was against their policy because I was advertising for myself.

I was wondering if they would fire all people for doing the same thing. Well no matter anyway one of my clients said that it was probably a blessing in disguise. I would spend more time on the phone's trying to get answers out of HIT than it actually took to do the project sometimes. Out of the fifty or so web sites I designed for them, I had to go way out of my way to keep customers at bay when they realized what they had gotten themselves into when they signed up for HIT services.

I was already accused of trying to take business from HIT but as a college educated freelance designer I know all companies advertise. If your looking for a desinger, hosting, sem, domain names etc... I can be contacted at: http://www.neo-symmetry.com

THX in Advance.

I also signed a contract with Heritage Web and after 9 months of on and off promises to complete a website I was told would be finished in 4 to 6 weeks, I finally gave up. It was a complete headache, killed the momentum I'd worked so hard to garner for my business. Promises that were made to rectify mistake after careless mistake without fail we're not kept.
In the end I walked away from my 700 dollar deposit because I had no other options. They'd dicked me around in too many ways and I'd just had it. I never even want to look at my shoddy half a site they put up again. Ugh. Totally killed my dream of having a website. Worst experience ever.

Heritage Web Solutions values all of its customers, especially those who have voiced complaints. It is in our best interest to work with these customers to reach a reasonable and fair resolution. In most cases Heritage tries to go beyond what is fair for the company and errors on the side of the upset customer.

Words cannot express how truly sorry we are for some customers who, no matter what we do, are never truly satisfied. This is especially disheartening, as Heritage has the solid reputation of providing excellent customer service.

Some customers, as illustrated on this complaint website, have resorted to airing their grievances on the public Internet, in hopes of resolving their particular complaint. We do all that we can to help meet a fair resolution to their satisfaction.

However what becomes unfair to us, are those customers who we feel have received everything they have asked for, and more, but then take it upon themselves to have an ongoing vindication against Heritage. To us, there is nothing more we can do to satisfy them. They are who they are. Vindictive and angry people do more harm to themselves than they think they are doing against a company. It is sad but true.

Heritage Web Solutions, with a customer base of over 10, 000, receives less than one half of one percent in complaints. That is an impressively low number compared to the standards of today. We certainly would like to have zero complaints, but that is just not realistically possible. There will always be those people who cry foul, no matter what.

What you don’t see on this complaint website are all the positive emails and letters we receive daily from customers who are extremely happy with the service and work we have provided for them.

Heritage Web Solutions is a good, solid custom web design and hosting company that has an excellent rating with the Better Business Bureau and the Utah State Department of Commerce. We are ranked in the top 1% of web hosting companies in the United States and have recently been recognized by Inc 500.

If you feel that Heritage Web Solutions is not taking care of you, I would invite you to contact me at my personal email address at ceo@hwsinet.com, and I will personally follow up on your issue.

Warmest Regards,

Hit Web Design I will always hate these people!

These people are like a bad ulcer in my stomach. They leave a bad taste in your mouth and you have nothing to show for it. Have you ever heard the saying you get what you pay for.

If you really see an advertisement starting at $199 then you may just get a color and one page for that price. And another thing, don't take the better business bureau as your final research, check other resources like this complaint board.

How funny that CEO Brad seems that his blanket comment to go under each complaint thinking he has rectified customer issues.
Why don't you prove yourself Mr. Brad Stone. I Bryan Boe want you to refund my money completely. Then I want you to pay me for damages for what I have lost in watching my whole program go down the drain as I have had to cancel every promotion, event, presentation loosing more than 90+k. Words are cheap! I have waiting for almost 7 months and you and your company have failed us miserably.
Show me you mean what you say and I will let people know that you delivered. I doubt that will happen. I have seen the list of lawsuits filed against you since 99 and some of them you did not even respond. You could care less. The attorney that I have been speaking to said any decent company would never allow that to happen and would rectify the problems, refund people. You are a greedy man and you will be held accountable one day for the dishonest money you generate to put in your pocket.
Show us that you mean what you say because I have been trying to get your inept company to finish my project with nothing but empty promises and in the end after months and months of listening to your folks that are completely disconnected promise me that my project will be completed to then have them come back to me after 6 months of the worst hassle I have ever experienced to say "Oh we can't do that without us having to charge me 10+ thousand $$$ to hire outside professionals to complete my project.

This is after from inception, all you programmers and sales reps and account managers and designers have all promised me that it will be done and are so apologetic as to my projects unacceptable delay.

Anyone who has been screwed by HWS please call me. I will work to organize a large class action suit. HWS cannot continue screwing up peoples live and businesses while they sit fat and happy in there $$$$ and rip off people.
