Helen Georgia review: Government Corruption 6

BEWARE if visiting HELEN! They have decided to raise revenue by fining the tourist that visit. They invite you for Oktoberfest and having a few beers and fun and look for reasons to fine otherwise law abiding citizens for revenue for their town. They allow some of the restaurants to not have restrooms if they are close enough to a public restroom. This could be just a few feet away from the establishment and you might think you could carry your drink with you. This is not the case, as they have passed an open container ordinance. There will be police waiting around the restroom and they will write you a citation for an open container. This fine is $400. The best thing to do is stay away from the corrupt town.

Oh my Thejerkpolice from Portlandia! You can't read. I didn't say the police were corrupt, the Helen GA city government is for passing this ordinance. They are using it to collect revenue pure and simple. This also, did not happen to me, someone I know. I heard the story and just thought otherwise normal people might want to know before they visit. Have you ever been to Helen GA from Portlandia. I doubt it. You probably live in your parents basement and live off of over productive people. I am just not for local governments making money off of visitors they invite to their town and using entrapment tactics to make money. I lived in Portlandia earlier in my life. As I remember they smoked a lot of dope and pick mushrooms to get high. They seemed OK with that while I was there. However, most places that isn't allowed, though I really don't care what people do if it doesn't effect others. I tend to be for freedom. Maybe you partook in this sort of thing cause you don't think so well or maybe you are on the receiving end of this sort of revenue collection. Whichever, I would have to say you are the Idiot and a fool and if you are a police officer, God help the community you pretend to protect.
