Headspace Scam - charged me for a year after I thought I canceled my membership.

The e-mail the gave me through the app was nothing i`d ever seen before. But you can`t cancel through the app. The e-mail I was registered with on the website (where they direct you to cancel) was my personal e-mail, not the automatically created e-mail my app membership was tied to. So, I canceled, or so I thought, though the website. Nope... They billed me for another year. I didn`t catch it for 2 months. Total scam.

I e-mailed them on 1/1/24. It is now the 12th and no response. Companies that use these deceptive business practices should be drives out of business.

Headspace Headspace

As many people here have written, I signed up in November 2022. A year later they charged me for another year at £50 without any warning or reminders. I contacted them within minutes. I have had no reply or response.

At a time when the cost of living is affecting so many people, it is inhuman that they are causing so much mental and financial distress. For all their claims of promoting mental health they are just money grabbing scammers.

Headspace Renewing subscription

I forgot to cancel my free trial by one day. I asked immediately to be refunded and was denied. I understand this is my fault. I appreciate when companies are reasonable though and work with the customer and allow a refund when they immediately contact customer service and have not used to service paid for. I would appreicate headspace becoming more reasonable in their policies as many other companies are.

Headspace Subscription

I signed up to a trial of headspace app as I am a health professional and wanted to see if it was something that may help my clients.

I cancelled the app subscription before the end of the trial period. Ending the subscription was difficult and I was directed to cancel through subscriptions on my Apple ID which I did.

I was charged 91.99 on the 3rd of November despite cancelling the subscription

I have contacted headspace and was advised I didn’t cancel the subscription correctly, even though I followed the instructions they provided.

Desired outcome: Please refund the annual fee charged

Headspace Impossible to cancel renewal

I was auto renewed after my 14 day trial. after last years renewal i sent an email requesting cancellation which recieved no response.

There are a couple of methods for cancellation specified on the website. When trialling each method the option 'cancel subscription' via app store simply doesnt appear.

Via website under subscription/ manage 'turn off auto renewal' is nowhere to be seen.

My email to [protected]@headspace.com bounced back.

Do not under any circumstances give this website/app you credit card details.

Headspace Refusal to Refund

I was charged annual subscription renewal fee off $69.99 on 07/01/2023. There was no advance notice, and 'Account & Subscription' section of the Headspace app doesn't list any information on when the subscription ends. The only way to see your subscription information is by logging in online. I had reached out to their customer service immediate to request a refund, but they refused. I'm looking to get $69.99 refunded.

Headspace Headspace - theft

I have subscribed to Headspace for many years and am a long term, loyal customer. In the past I have been happy with the platform and service, but not any longer.

Headspace are behaving in a very unethical and dishonest manner. They keep putting my account onto auto renew when I have specifically told them not to, multiple times. They turned on auto renew again and just charged me 50 GBP for another renewal I did not consent to. I consider this theft.

Interesting the billing and subscription info on the app is now in such tiny text you can’t read it. They have also made it impossible to manage these on the app- any cancellations need to be done through the website. This is an app based platform and all modifications should be available through the app.

I have sent the company 5 messages now and still not had any reply. They have taken my money without my permission and now refuse to respond or communicate in any fashion, other than generic ‘we’ll get back to you when we can’ messages.

I never would have imagined this company I once enjoyed and respected would stoop to these levels and behave like this- A company that prides itself on mindfulness practice and buddhist principles. Shame on you Headspace! Do not subscribe to this company that steals from its customers, this is appalling.

Desired outcome: I want my latest, unwanted subscription fully refunded and I would like an apology from Headspace for their actions.

Headspace Theft

I was charged $100.00 on December 1, 2022. I canceled my subscription and took a screenshot email headspace emailed me. Because they already charged me, I thought might as well keep the subscription and continue accessing headspace. But I can no longer get into my account and its asking me to subscribe again. I emailed them and they never responded. I should be financially compensated as I have paid for a product I no longer have access to, which is theft. I want at least 50% off that includes my 50 bucks back for poor customer service and theft.

Headspace Headspace plus

I was sent an email for 20% off a yearly subscription for Headspace. I purchased this yearly subscription for Headspace Plus and it was charged. It does not show up in my Apple Subscriptions because I went directly through the Headspace App. It continues to show a Free Account prompting me to purchase Headspace Plus when I have already purchased it. I chatted with the robot and no help at all. I emailed Headspace and no return email. I called the customer support number only to get a voice recording. This is extremely poor customer service, if you can even call it customer service. I have read many other people are having this problem. I want access to the full App I have paid for. Extremely unethical behavior exhibited by this company. If there are multiple problems with payment they need to be addressed.

Headspace unable to log into my account for an unknown reason

Recently I was unable to log into my account for an unknown reason. I tried reseting the password but no email showed up in my inbox with a link to reset (I checked my spam and junk mail folders too over the next few days). I've emailed support a few but have yet to get a response. I left a voice mail on their customer service line. I'm upset because I do use this app frequently and to be locked out for an uncertain reason (Idk if it was hacked and someone now has access to my personal and credit card information) and unable to utilize the services that help me manage my anxiety is doubly frustrating. To be ignored by a company who I patronize is also insulting. If this isn't resolved promptly in the next few days and they prorate the time I've been locked out, I will not be using them again and will be unable to recommend their services to others.

Headspace request for a refund

February 1, 2020 I do not have a client number, I was charged on that date a full price of 95.88 of use an app and was deleted. I don't use the app whatsoever and didn't know that I signed up for the annual fee. I am writing in regards to have the funds refunded back to my account because I didn't receive any notice in regards about the payment. All I see that the payment was taking out my account and I am not pleased at all about the fee and want someone to call me back.

Headspace headspace app

I have paid for my annual subscription last year in summer and I haven't used it much. I wanted to start using to notice that I only have the free option. I have sent several email to customer service and no one has replied yet for the last two weeks, considering they are advising a response within 3 days. I did read so many reviews of people being ripped off and not being supported in using their apps that they paid for. This is totally unacceptable and it's such a bad image on the company. You will lose many customers in this manner!

Headspace payment taken though not showing that I had a subscription and not replying to any emails

I have sent 3 emails to Headspace but have not had a response. I explained that my chiropractor had suggested I try meditation but after trying it, due to current things in my life it is not for me at this time. I checked on my iphone under subscriptions but Headspace did not show so I assumed there was not a chargeable subscription. I contacted them immediately when the payment came out but have heard nothing back, obviously £49.99 is a lot money for something I cannot use.

I notified cancellation of my subscription in September 2019 with effect from January 2020. This was acknowledged by Nina from Headspace in September...”we’re sorry to see you go etc...”
In January my subscription was taken again. I have emailed help at headspace and info at headspace but so far ne reply and no refund. Does anyone have a phone number for Headspace Customer Services?

I have been trying to upgrade my subscription from individual to family. mY wife and I had been paying $95.95 for the past 4 years. My wife was tired of paying this price and cancelled. I noted the prices had changed and felt taken advantage of, as we were on automatic renewal. I have following the instructions for upgrading from individual to family. If I go to headspace.com asn log in, as recommended, there is no option for entering the recommended email
www.headspace.com/subscription/manage. First of all, this does not appear to be a website, and second, as far as I can tell, every webpage where you have search engine does not go to this page either. I go to my account page and I am unable to stop the automatic payment. The page does not allow me to do this. Very frustrated!

Headspace headspace app

After a trial subscription to Headspace, I not to continue with the app. I cancelled my subscription through iTunes, as suggested, and indeed, the subscription was removed. The monthly charges to my American Express, however, were not. It's been a year now, and I keep getting charged a monthly $12.99 - having now payed upwards of $150 for an app I do not want nor use. The company's number does not connect you to a live person, and a letter to their snail mail address has gone unanswered. I have tried disputing the charge through my credit card company. And while the particular charge disputed gets removed, a new one appears the following month. Definitely not relaxing, and definitely uncool for a wellness app. As a psychologist, I've stopped recommending the app to my patients. It's not worth the aggravation!

I tried Headspace and then decided to not continue as I do several free medications. I tried to cancel last summer and in reviewing my subscriptions I see it was renewed in August after I believe I had cancelled. I go on site and it sends me round and round. I can't find the turn off auto renewal and would like a refund for the current yearly charge as I cancelled. How do I get someone to help correct this error?

Headspace annual renewal

I've tried everything they say to do to unsubscribe and I can't unsubscribe. When I got close I got an ‘error' page. I took a screenshot of it. Help me to unsubscribe from this unethical business! When I get to ‘change my subscription' they don't give the option to ‘quit' subscription. When I put the word unsubscribe into their faq's the only option is to unsubscribe to emails not unsubscribe to the program and auto renewal. Ugh... I hate this company for making it so difficult to stop the auto renewal!

Seems that they implement bugs in the function where you unsubscribe.
When I cancel Auto renewal all works fine but to accept cancelation.
I tought it was a serious company but both the way the increase the amount when renewed and the way they make it hard/impossible to cance l the renewal indicates this is scam business.

Headspace cancelling membership

We purchased a monthly subscription to headspace and used it for about 6 months after that we decided we wanted to cancel the service My wife has tried to cancel the service multiple times and we still have had no luck getting them to comply. It seems impossible to get ahold of anybody to speak to personally I'm thinking by now the only way to get it to cancel is to go to my bank

Headspace - Impossible to cancel subscription

I got a free trial for meditation app Headspace. Tried to cancel it as it was not for me, and they do not cancel it right away. They sent email saying that that are processing my cancellation. 48-72 hours. Just have read other comments on their blog, this is happening since 2014. I guess I will be paying for extra month...probably paying for many month! This is such a scam!
