Happy Mothers / Terrible service/criminal return policy

I ordered a stroller from this site that was shipped to a relative's home for later pickup for a big layette shipment (I live abroad and am entitled to a layette shipment with pregnancy). By the time I received it, it was more than 2 months after purchase. Since I live in an apartment, I chose not to build the stroller until right before the baby arrived. The stroller box happens to be covered with graphics, but does not include a picture or the name of the stroller on the outside (not Happy Mothers' fault). Long story short, I discovered that Happy Mothers sent me the wrong ($100 less expensive) stroller about 2.5 months after my order. Since all I wanted was to exchange the stroller for the correct one, I did not think it would be a big deal. However, the customer service manager said it was past the 30 day return window and that I should sell it on the local market and maybe he could give me a 10% discount for another stroller. He never backed down and was rude and confrontational to boot. He didn't care that they shipped the wrong item or that it was $100 cheaper than what I paid. I informed him I would challenge it with my credit card (I have and they are supportive) and he didn't care. As a past happy customer, I am surprised and disappointed. And while they have good prices, I cannot in good conscience ever purchase from them again.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! Appalling customer service!! I purchased a bassinet from this company through Amazon earlier this year and it was recalled by the government in August due to infant deaths. The manufacturer of the product is no longer in business so the government called on those who sold the product to refund consumers. Many larger companies are, i.e. Target, Walmart, JC Penny, but Happy Mothers refused to offer a refund and stated 'we didn't make it, so we are not responsible.' They told me I was not eligible for a return because it was greater than 30 days, but this is a recall not a return! The customer service rep even implied that a few infant deaths was not a big deal!! I was told there was nothing they could do, and that the other companies must have a deal with the manufacturer (who is out of business) and that is why they are giving refunds. I think it is because they have a moral compass and care more about customer service than money. Next time I will go with Target . I would urge you to avoid this company if possible.
