Hamlet Avanesian DDS review: Unresponsive, unprofessional, and unethical dentist 1

Summary:

Town Center Dentistry collected money from me for dental work, then it collected that amount for the same dental work from my insurance company. I found out they owe me a refund, they confirmed it over the phone, and now they refuse to refund me and constantly avoid taking my calls or returning my messages - the shameless extent to which some people will go to "make a buck!"

Company background:

The company central to this complaint is the dental practice owned and operated by Mr. Hamlet Avanesian. He set up a corporation by the name of Hamlet S. Avanesian, D.D.S., A Professional Corporation. He currently conducts business under the Fictitious Business Name of "Town Center Dentistry, " located on 316 E Broadway # A, Glendale, CA 91205.

Complaint: I paid Town Center Dentistry (TCD) for the dental work using my credit card. After collecting nearly $1, 000 from me, TCD then charged my insurance company for the same work I had already paid for, and TCD received payments from the insurance company. After I learned my insurance had paid for the work (I inquired from TCD - TCD did not tell me on their own initiative), I confronted TCD and they confirmed over the telephone that I was owed a refund and that I would receive a check for that refund amount within a week. That was over a month ago. I have called them regularly requesting an update but the person in charge of billing (Adrineh) and the dentist/owner (Dr. Hamlet Avanesian) constantly avoid my calls and refuse to return the phone messages I leave. The receptionist takes a message, and upon my follow-up call to the receptionist, she informs me that Adrineh received my message and told the receptionist she will return my call that very same day - but they have been doing this for over a month! Who would have expected that a "professional" and "respected" office, such as a dentist's office, would resort to con-artist-like delay tactics and avoid refunding you money that is rightfully yours?!

Resolution Sought: Immediately refund the full amount they charged to my credit card, and a public apology for such rude, unprofessional, shameful, remorseless conduct.

YOU ARE A BUSY, BUSY DENTIST DR. AVANESIAN ... DOES MY $1000 REALLY MAKE YOU THAT MUCH RICHER?

I have been a patient of Dr. Hamlet Avanesian for several years and I have never had a problem with Dr. Hamlet Avanesian. I find this complaint very shocking and suprising. And I also do believe that this complaint is NOT LEGIT. I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Hamlet Avanesian. He is kind, honest, polite and very very professional. And most importantly, you feel very welcome the minute you walk in the office and the quality of work is exceptional - no questions asked.
