I just found out I am one of many victims of this horrible company!
I was insuring 1 classic car and 6 classic motorcycles with Hagerty Insurance. Our car was stolen. We reported it to police on the spot and next day to Hagerty Insurance. We left several messages but no one at Hagerty Insurance would call us back! Had to get their manager involved (That even took 3 attempts to get his attention) and finally the adjuster called and took our recorded statement over the phone. Then it took her approximately 15 days just to get us a claim acknowledgment letter! Then they sent a so called "Investigator" to our home for a second recorded statement! We welcomed him in our home, served him coffee, fully cooperated and gave him all the answers based on or understanding. Next day, he called my disabled husband and started harassing, threatening and extorting him to drop the claim! We became very upset and reported him to Hagerty's manager (which most probably is part of their dirty scam) and opened a complaint with department of insurance. Now, they started playing games and giving us even more hard time (Naturally). It's been about 60 days now and nothing. They say "were investigating! We have cases that are 8 months old! Bla Bla Bla"! Not sure they are investigating my calls to my mother or trying to nail me on paying my hair dresser for her services! This is a joke.
We have been sharing this horrible experience with our friends, family, car club members, lawyers... Everyone is discussed by this companies business practice and the way they treat people.
We have been advised and decided to practice our 1st amendment rights to the fullest extent and we encourage everyone to do the same. Enough is enough.
Hagerty Insurance Agency - Car Accident
I just want you to read what I have been dealing with and how this insurnace company is giving me the run around and trying to give me parts that aer alot cheaper than what was on there & on top of that, there great customer service rep, Kristy Helmreich and they wonder why people get lawyers these days, because you haev to deal with this, They are trying to pay 1/2 of what the estimate is for. tehy are a rip off company.

This is the estimate that I received. It has now been 2 weeks and JUST now getting my truck looked out and now the estimator is stating they are not covering $2500.00 of damages that were done. It took a week to get a rent car because no one returned our phone call for over a week. This has been the worst experience I have ever dealt with. When we finally talked to someone after a week, we advised her that 2 people were hurt.
So why don’t you compare my estimates verses the one that you hired, there is a huge difference.
I have all the dates documented on when we got a call back to how long it took for you to get an adjuster out and again it has been 2 weeks and my truck has not been touched. If this is what you call good service, you are wrong.
You might want to go on this web-site as I will be adding my opinion as well to the Insurance board & BBB.

Hello Mrs. Gooch,
The appraiser estimate is just a preliminary. It is not the final word. I just got a copy of it this afternoon and was able to look it over. We always work with the shop on agreed pricing. I am sorry you feel you were getting the run around, but I have been here for you the whole time, if you had or have any questions.
We were not aware of your injury but I will be happy to send that over so your medical claim can get started with our underwriting company, One Beacon.
I can pay you based on the appraisal report today and work with the shop on supplements, and we can send out a second check later if needed, after we work with the shop. If this is not okay for you, you always have the option to work with your own carrier and they can subrogate with us.
Please let me know if you want me to get started today with paying you based on the appraisal amount of $5355.15.

THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!
You can tell Haggerty Insurance, I am TIRED of the run around. I am turning this company into the Insurance Board & BBB right now. I have contacted an Attorney, as much damage as was done to the truck and I get this estimate back. I was also in the truck, I have had 2 back surgeries and I just went to the Dr. last week as I have been in pain. So I was not going to go this route. So now they are trying to not pay for the truck, they are going to now pay for attorney bills & medical bills. I see a Surgeon next week for the accident.
