I have made no charges or purchases from haband.

Will lawyer be needed to collect these bogus charges ?

They prey on the elderly and get them to commit to charges for another company called TLG. Haband never answers their phones and avoids "customer service" calls.

I just received a letter telling me that Everyday Privileges Gold was going to charge me $169.99 for 2011. I called and asked what it was for and he told me I cashed a check and therefore they charged me for the membership service. I than (shame on me for not checking closer) saw they charged my AMX for $159.99 in Feb 2010. I have not ordered anything from Haband since 2009. I will never order from Haband again. Now I'm just trying to get my money back. This is a SCAM and I am contacting the state attorney general. Watch out for these scam artist. I was told Haband sold them my name and credit card information. AMX now has a block on my card to prevent any future charges from these scammers.

My husband and I are senior citizens who have been "scammed" on multiple occasions by Haband including one recent incident where they attempted to bill our credit card nearly $200.00 and it was caught by our visa card administrators. As our card was now "compromised" we had to cancel the card and go through the inconvenience of changing over all our auto-pays on the old card, etc.
We have attempted to call the numbers given on a recent billing (which we did NOT owe) and got an automated message that stated, "we can not take you call...'goodbye'"!) We wrote them a complaint letter attaching the bill 4/12/10 and have not heard one word back.
Today we received another notice from one of their 'subsidiaries', Buyers Advantage memberships, stating they could not deduct our "annual fee" for our "membership" with them of $149.99 that was billed to us last year when my husband inadvertantly deposited a check from Haband in the amount of $8.05 which he thought was a refund. I called "Tim" the representative and explained the scam we experienced at the hands of Haband and his company and threatened to sue if the $139.99 they deducted from our now compromised card last year was not refunded. He talked to his supervisor and agreed to mail us a refund in that amount.
We have been good customers of Haband for the past years but WILL NEVER PLACE ANOTHER ORDER with them again. Doesn't do any good to write or call them...they do NOT respond. They are the ### of the catalogue companies, preying on elderly and unsuspecting honest citizens of the US. BUYER BEWARE!

Haband / Bluestem Brands &Free gift&

Be wary of the offer of "free shipping." If there is a "free gift" involved, the "free shipping" goes away and shipping charges will apply. They do not tell you about this. After 16 email exchanges, they finally said they would delete the "free" gift and would give free shipping. I, too, got hooked with the "perks" and I agree with another complaint that the fabric quality in the clothing is terrible. I'm done with them.

Haband / Bluestem Brands Customer service sucks

Haband is still sending out "customer service" letters with stamped signatures of Duke Habernickle; who according to DMnews http://www.dmnews.com/private-equity-group-catalog-holdings-buys-haband/article/93265/ left the company in 2006 after selling his shares to Catalog Holdings. I am in the process of trying to solve an issue for my 77 year old mother, who prepaid an order, was shipped items not ordered(and billed for them) and was not sent items she did order. "Habernickle's" March 30, 2010 letter promised to correct the problem, but the missing items still have not been sent. When my mother called their customer service, the rep hung up on her. Good business.

Haband / Bluestem Brands Poor quality sweater

I ordered one of the hand embroidered sweaters. Although it took 2 months to receive it, I did receive a postcard telling me it waa back ordered and when it would be shipped. The problem is with the quality. By time I had the sweater on for 1/2 day, 5 stitches of the embroidery had come undone. Looking at the inside, there are embroidery thread trails all over, plus all embroidery threads are not tacked down.

Haband Clothing has somehow been deducting $14.95 a month from my account. The phone number is wrong. I have not authorized this amount even though I buy things once in a while. I am poor and cannot afford this. Thank you for any help.

Haband / Bluestem Brands unauthorized charges of 14.95 a month from my account

I am getting unauthorized charges from my debt card each month of $14.95. This has been going on ever since I ordered coats from them. How can I get these charges stopped asap. I have tried calling and still no results. Please cancel all corespondents from you. I will turn this over to the better business bureau if I don't hear something from you really soon.

Haband / Bluestem Brands Big ripoff/overcharge for shipping/sub-quaility products

On 5/04/10 I purchased 3 pr of shoes from Haband aka HSalon.com. Paid extra $10 for EXpress ship. After numerous emails, I have still not received my shoes and it has now been more than 10 days since purchase. So much for Express shipping.I would never have purchase from Haband but I was leaving on vacation and needed them to be shipped quickly. So I lost $10 and still have no shoes. The first email from Haband advised that I could check shipping status of my order in 24-36 hrs. after order was placed but even after 36 hrs. my order had stll no been shipped. I guess express means "a week or 2 from now"?

At first I thought this was just some kind of Phishing scam ( people sending phony billing so that you have to log on somewhere, and they then steal your ID etc )

The thing is I have never ordered anything from Haband, and do not have an account with them !

So i decided to look up their website, and I wrote them to inform them, that I thought that someone was using their company name for scamming purposes.

they write me back:

So its obvious, that this is just a spamming technique.

I wrote them back telling them I have no account with them and never made any order, and that I suspect they are just spamming for customers to visit their site.

I forgot to mention that the FAN is made in China, and NOT ONE person I have spoken to had command of the English language without an accent very difficult to understand--I still think I have only spoken with the same 2(possibly a 3rd) people!

I ordered a 42" tower fan from Haband. I have been doing business with them for a long time by ordering clothing, so I felt pretty comfy doing the order for the fan. It arrived 9 days after I ordered it--in the middle of a heat wave! HOW glad I was!
Then it was time to take from the box--it took TWO people and about 25' to do so because it was packed so tightly. The 'instructions' are in type that even a normal sighted person would need a magnifying glass to read;it's written by someone other than a person in good command of the English language, and 2 elderly ladies couldn't understand WHERE the 2 parts to make up the 'tower' that holds the stand were! It appeared in the diagram that they were packed INSIDE the fan, but it wouldn't come apart. So we got a much younger male to 'put it together' for us. WELL, the 2 pieces we couldn't find were NOT included in the box!
I called on a Sat.;was promised a 'product specialist' would call me that evening 'or tomorrow, at YOUR convenience'. NO call Sat. eve. and none by 2:30 Sun.--I called again;'I'm emailing the prod. spec. NOW and he will call you NOW!'. I asked if he was sure it would be NOW, and he said 'well maybe an hour'. I requested his name and operator #, but he didn't have one;requested his last name but they aren't allowed to give it out--'but my name is John, spelled very uniquely, so they will know who I am--J-o-n-n-e.' I waited the hour;called;'there's no one by that name, AND the prod. spec. doesn't work on Sundays! I will have them call you tomorrow.' (I work. I want a manager.) hesitation...'I don't have a manger;will a supervisor be OK?' (Yes) 'Please wait a few minutes.' on hold...The SAME voice returns as supervisor. I argued;she continued to lie and try to fill me with BS;I hung up on her, threatening to report to the A.G.'s office and BBB!
I have only been requesting that they 'overnight' the 2 missing parts to me, so I can use the g.d. FAN! THEY, in turn insist I REPACK it and 'send it back for a "replacement of the entire product--because each one is made differently and taking the 2 parts from ANOTHER box means they won't fit MY fan!" All the while I'm trying to explain that I was elderly and could NOT get the thing back into the box as it had been originally packed! It is now Tues.;I called twice more, and again was put on hold for a supervisor(the same voice returned again);when I insisted they send me the parts, in a less than 'happy tone' SHE hung up on me! A 3rd call;supervisor;a request to be connected to the 'main office';she wasn't able to do that;I want the #--she gave it to me and disconnected me;I called the # and it was totally FAKE, as it 'is no longer in service'. SO, here I am looking up the info about the company online--and I ran into this site! I have told the story;now I want you all to know that you HAVE RIGHTS--you may report your 'RIP OFF's to the following, and PLEASE do it for everyone else who may have been scammed! www.FTCcomplaintassistant.gov OR call 1-877-FTC-HELP(382-4357). You may also call your Attorney General and your state Senator and/or Representative. LET'S GET THESE S.O.B.'s and stop them from ripping us off!

Haband / Bluestem Brands Order #9294060 LOST!

Per the recorded telephone information at the Haband organization, my order #9294060 was shipped out on May 6, 2010. I waited until May 18, 2010 and called Customer Service (the order trackers) at [protected]. One CSR gave me a tracking number that, when checked at the U.S. Postal Service website was "not found". I called her again on May 18, 2010 and got the same incorrect tracking number PLUS a number for FEDEX that was "not found" on the FEDEX webpage.

The next day I went to my local post office with the US Postal Service tracking number. The supervisor at my local post office told me there was "no record" of this tracking number. I came home and again called Customer Service (order trackers). The CSR again gave me this incorrect tracking number as what was in their system for my order. When I told her that the local post office had no record, this CSR told me that I will have to wait until June 6, 2010 to either get my order re-shipped or get a refund. Unbelievable!

Haband used to be a good and reliable company. What is happening here! Anyway, I have sent out a number of e-mails also since then asking for my shipment re-sent NOW by next day shipment. We'll see! Sure don't want to have to call the Better Business Bureau and the US Postmaster General!

Well, be prepared to write to the BBB and the Attorney General! I just did for my father who has been scammed for $85.00. I have been trying for months to correct this mistake with the World Financial Capital bank that Haband works with...and get this they issued a credit card in his name without his permission! He is 85 years old and has cancer they call him as early as 7am and as late as 10 pm. I also wrote to FTC because that is clearly a violation of the do not call regulations! They call him between 6-7 times a day! They are ruthless! I would not wait I would not waste anymore time the more people that send complaints the quicker we wil all be compensated whether be monitarily or not getting these ruthless calls from uneducated people! Haband / Bluestem Brands Haband Company products are piece of junk

After making the mistake of ordering a TV remote control from Haband, I found it to be a piece of junk! I returned it for a refund, which was eventually credited back to my Mastercard. They refunded the price of the item only, and not the postage costs either way. The postage costs were more than the item itself. A few weeks later, I received a check in the mail for $8.25. Thinking it to be a refund for the postage, I ALMOST cashed it without reading the fine print!

It turned out that I would have been enrolled in some BOGUS discount plan that would have cost me $159.99 per year and would automatically renew eqach year afterward! This company is indeed a rip-off and may be sharing your credit card information with others and enrolling you in all kinds of phony plans!

Haband / Bluestem Brands Refurbished Pentium Mobile Laptop

I ordered the Pentium Mobile Laptop; Item No. M240-VCD13 for Christmas 2009 it arrived on December 24 just in time for Christmas. I put it all together on Christmas day and for the 90 days it was guaranteed it did fairly well. In April it started having problems of all sorts and it would shut down during use at will. The last week of April it got even worse. When you turn it on sometimes it would turn on and sometimes it wouldn't at all. Now it just turns on but will not stay on at all and within a few seconds it turns itself back off and the screen never comes to life.
Is this any way to handle customers faith that they are buying a quality product from a reputable company and when they spend this kind of money the product should last at least long enough to reach a year old.
I feel this is a rip off. I have talked with a couple of technicians and described the problems with it and they say it will take 350.00 or more to fix it and that is more than the 307.98 I gave for it.
I hope this will prevent anyone else from getting their hopes up with what seems like and incredible deal only to find out shortly after the 90 day warranty expires. I know I am very disheartened with Haband and their refurbished products.

Haband / Bluestem Brands Forces customer to pay to return wrong merchandise

April 2010: Ordered three pairs of pants, and one was clearly wrong size (two errors: pants too long and waist too small!). Had to pay $7.50 to return $12 item because of Haband mistake. I have been a loyal customer for not just years but decades. In the unlikely event that I get the postage refund, I might buy from Haband again, but I am not counting on it.

Haband / Bluestem Brands charges without knowledge

When you order items from HABAND, they without your knowledge enroll you into
this perks thing. It's only when you go and check your bank accounts, that you find out your being charged on your charge card. This is a dececptive practice
is against the law and should be prosecuted to fullest extent of the law.

When I signed up, they implied that it was free! There was no mention of any monthly charges and I am really careful about signing up for anything as I run a business. I just received my Discover bill and found a $14+ charge from them!

I want to unsubscribe from Haband Perks the unauthorized withdrawals from my account will have to stop, as I am out of a job & can no longer afford to shop, much less have money withdrawn from my account. I am on a fixed income & a senior citizen. Please stop this immediately, further more I'd like all charges refunded.

I ordered something from them when I got home from the hospital last fall. I was too sick to handle the bills and did not realize they had been billing me $14.95 a month for nearly a year!

I will try to get my money back now that I am recovered though I know it will be a battle. This is not right and I resent their shady business practices!

I have been reading of many other people who have went thru the same thing. I am sorry I did not catch this sooner!

I will never order anything from them again and I will notify my credit card company and cancel my current account due to this company.

Do NOT order anything from them. EVER

Haband has been making fraudulent unauthorized charges to my checking account for something called Haband Perks. the first charge is for $1.95 to sneak in. Your bank will tell you that companies charge these small amounts to check the validity of the charge number. When that one goes through, they continue to charge $14.95 per month until the victim realizes what has happened. They have been doing this to me for 3 months, but I've seen sites where people have posted that they've been trying to get this resolved for over a year. I'm contacting my credit union fraud dept tomorrow to initiate investigation and charge back. I'm posting this to warn others about this theft.

I called their 1-888 number and canceled my Haband Perks that I didn't even know I had until they started billing me. And then, just to make certain, I copied your text (above) and used it in an e-mail of my own (it fit the bill) to them. Two days later (today), I get an e-mail reply from Haband with the aforementioned text in the reference, stating:

"Thank you for your email. To show our appreciation for your order with us we offer you a chance to sign up for Easy Saver. They offer money saving discounts at different retailers, prescription drugs, entertainment and more. The offer is try Haband Perks for 30 days for a low activation fee of $1.95 and if you choose to keep it you will be billed $14.95 per month to your credit card that you used on your Haband purchase. Just for trying this offer, you will get $10.00 off your next Haband order. The only thing that you have to do to get this $10.00 discount is send Easy Saver a copy of the confirmation of the next order and they will then send you a refund check in the amount of $10.00.
If the customer accepts the offer by entering their e-mail address and zip code, their credit card and billing information is passed from the Haband site to Haband Perks.
If you do not wish to accept the offer you can either exit out of our website at the end of the order or you can click on Close and you will be taken back to the Haband website.

contact your bank and state it was fraudulent.. they can reverse the charges.. Also cancel your card and get a replacement as the company that withdrew the funds has your old information from your card but they won't have newer information when you get replacement card. Good luck with this..

Haband / Bluestem Brands Money taking out of Checking with no authorization

My wife ordered clothing from HABAND and paid by our visa checking account which already taken out of our account. Later in December 2009 they took out 1.95 and just lately in Jan. 23, 2010 they took out another $14.95 in which I did't give them authorization. I called and made a compliant and said that we had authorization do to so. With all the talking she will credit my credit card and told her we will never do business with them and will spread the word that they just scamming customers. I was really pissed off. If any customer see this message, call HABAND PERKS AT [protected], HABAND PERKS, ASK FOR JAIME EX#4483 AND GIVE HER THE HELL.

I ordered two sets of sheets( by phone)>Buy one get one free. Prodct #121021. Price-$10.98 on 12/10/09.
I received a statement for $32.98 that I sent a check
#1649 dated 1/4/2010. The sheets were torn, slites, too
small>badly damaged.I was returning them when i
received another Bill for $72.72 that included A late

I ordered 5 wrinkle-free, no iron shirts from Haband in a variety of colors for $9.99/shirt. They are anything but wrinkle free. Even after ironing they won't stay pressed. They wrinkle for nothing the minute you put them on. 2 of the shirts were returned because they weren't even close to the colors I ordered and I had to pay the shipping which was almost as much as the cost of the a shirt. A real ripoff. I won't be buying anything from them again!

Haband / Bluestem Brands scam

I used to work for them and it is a big scam. I was paid a base pay and commission for each Shoppers Advantage or Habands Rebates worth $10 every 3 months. But all they care about is us making the sales and if not we would loose our job. They also do not have a customer service. I worked in the order dept. and if any calls for customer service were routed to us it would bring our attainment down which means when we get a call if we make a sale our attainment goes above a 100% but if that call is for customer service our attainment goes beneath a 100% and our supervisors want our attainment to be above a 100% in order for us to make commission. Now the company would route customer service calls to us when they seen our attainment over a 100%, so therefore our attainment would drop, because they didint want us to make money .There was always a new rule put in place every week that kept making it harder for the agents to make commission. Sometimes agents would get 5 cutomer service calls in a row and all our system was programmed to do was take orders and make sales for Affinion(google Affinion and take a look at all the lawsuits against them)which was who Habnad had a contract with. So then we had to work that much harder to sell Habands customers Shoppers Advantage or Every day Privileges Gold because of these customer ser. calls that we didnt make a sale on pulled our attainment down. And I felt so bad because alot of the customers we take orders for are very old and do not understand what they are getting into when we ask them permission to bill their credit card. They think it has something to do with haband and it dont. it is a program that you have to call and cancel.[]I hated working there because the compnay was taking advantage of the employees and the customers. If anyone should read this, then please google Affinion because that is the company that has the contract with Haband and they operate out of a call center in Florida. I would receive customer service calls all the time and I could not help the customer because I was strictly there to take orders and sell.I do hope that all of you who are having problems with Haband get them worked out but you may have to wait a while and be very patient.

IS HABAND A SCAM? READ FOR YOURSELF.
As a customer, I placed an order with Haband on 4/27/2010, then wanted to contact Haband via. Phone re: a problem I had experienced. Had to do a web search to get the phone number of the call center [protected] ) and after choosing several buttons to push then a recording asked me for my FULL SSN# in order to continue. THIS HAS TO BE A SCAM as they have no business asking for this. I'm convinced after finally talking to a service rep. in person that Haband has no real security for Credit Card Infomation given to them. I will not order from Haband again for sure.

It kind of makes you wonder, really.

I work for the TLG company in a call center stationed in Maine. Everybody on staff detests Haband for the unethical treatment of customers and pressure to sell our memberships, IN ADDITION TO the fact that many times there are two memberships each customer ends up with, even when only one is pitched. It's sad, because we're the ones who're blamed since it's our memberships that charge the customers.

Haband / Bluestem Brands HABAND PERKS RIP-OFF

Hello,

I recently ordered some clothing from Haband. At the end of my purchase I was asked yo activate my membership in Haband Perks SM to claim 'your Free $10 cash back award on your next Haband purchase and start saving-. by clicking YES.
However to my dismay I noticed that for the past 2 months my CREDIT CARD was charged $14.95. Obviously that was in their fine print.
I am not benefitting from this scam as I have not bought anything else from Haband yet Haband Perks charges me. This is fraud! I WILL NEVER SHOP AT HABAND AGAIN.

I almost fell victim to the Haband scam when ordering clothes for my elderly mother. The charged me $1.99 for the first 30 days then I got their confirmation e-mail thanking me for signing up for their rewards program and my credit card would be charged $14.97 a month! There was nothing about any charges when I simply clicked on the button to join the club for future savings and $10 off the next order. I called them quickly and the said they would take care of it and I wouldn't be charged. I e-mailed them I wanted the $1.99 back just as a matter of principle. That adds up to a lot of money for Haband if you think of their nationwide sales. I also made a formal complaint with The NJ Division of Consumer Affairs since Haband is a NJ based company doing business via the Internet as well as print media. I will NEVER buy from this company again and warn everyone about them. Who knows how many people they have ripped-off. especially the elderly who are their main customers. They should be prosecuted criminally.

Hello, I also ordered some merchandise from Haband at the end of processing the order a page poped up stating that I could get a $10.00 dollar cash back claim .Sounds like a deal, NOT... Got a E-Mail today confiming my membership in Haband Perks which lead me to check out the site which more than A $10.00 rebate what a sleazy way to do business.Glad I took the time to check a little futher which lead me to this web sight, where I found out that they prey on people . Was glad I found out before they started taking out the $14.95 each month.Have already sent anE-mail to customerservice@encoremarketing.com attention Laura Jones, Membership Director. They promply replied saying they will unenroll me asap, still will follow up with phone call in the morning just in case. Also going to contact Haband about the situation and inform them that I will not do bussiness with them unless they change they process so I do not feel like I was victim of a very sleezy business practice. Thank you for the information at this site.

Those charges were from signing up for the Perks program post purchase. Accepting the offer for a $10 cash-back, and completing that form to redeem is where you signed up for Perks. You can get out of the program by calling [protected], Mon. - Fri. 9:00 am - 9:00 pm ET. Their service dept. is easy to deal with and will let you out with very little challenge.

Haband / Bluestem Brands Rude and nasty sevice

On Sunday Oct 25, 2009 at 2:40, I was on line at the Haband site, I found two items that "sound like a good deal" and reasonably priced. so I started filling out all of my infor for shipping and ordering, accound set up before I started shopping. after placing these items in the shopping cart, I had a screen-pop-up for something called 'PERKS' needed to verify my email address and check box if it was correct, after I did that, Wham order no long able to veiw or change, so I went to my e-mail after recieving new message, it was from Haband they had recieved order and comfirming it. One of the items was buy one get two free for $19.99, other item was 2 for #29.00. and something for PERKS 1.95, I called customer sevice within minutes the employee told me" well that means simply your order was placed and charged to account, this person was very rude, I was in tear, WHY They just charged my account $103.95 from my debit card. On Monday I called customer service and this person DIANA started out snippy and alot of back ground noice to go with it, I again explained what had happened and I was charged 3'x for the buy 1 get two free. I explained my situation wanted to have they excess amount taken off and my unemployment status, I monitor and plan weekly and accountable for every cent spent, this person was rude, hateful, nasty, Quote" after WE get our money then someone will let you know when your oder will be shipped then you can fill out paper work or refund items after that is veiwed throung billings, and returnable and all paper work done that usually takes up to 3-4 weeks than your money may be returned to your card! I told this person that it was poor practice and the BBB would be notifed and hung up. as of today the $103.95 has been removed from my debit card plus another $1.95 for membership to PERKS I am letting people know do not do bussiness with this company, they do not even supply vaseline for what they do to you
