After watching infomercial about new GT Express Ready Set go product, I decided to order online. When paying for order I noticed they charged me for a receipe club that I had clicked No Thanks to. Because I figured I could straighten this out after I placed the order I continued to process the order. I also noticed the shipping and handling increased from $17 to $22. I tried to call customer service and found out they were closed. I sent an email instead with of course no reply. I finally talked to their customer service to be told that I clicked yes to the recipe club and after insisting that I knew better they said they would refund $4.95 to me. I insisted on the $9.95 and they said okay. Nothing was mentioned about the additional shipping and handling. I asked if item had shipped and of course they told me it was in the process and they could not cancel. The selling points on this item in the informercial is the installment payments and free expidited shipping. I ordered Saturday and this is Wednesday and it still has not shipped and was told 7-10 days after it did ship and that was their expidited shipping because normally it takes 20 days. They charged me the full amount also, and said I choose that option also. The original product is a good product, who knows about this new product, but it sadens me that they have resorted to these shady business products. I will be reporting to the Better Business Bureau. Oh, I was also told to refuse package, but I will probably not be able to recover all of the money I have been charged, and I shipped to my home and will not be home to refuse it.

teflon is peeling badly on all units large chunks were digested by my children. Id say miss mitchell needs to recall all of the xpress ready set go before she kills someone (I Pray she looks into the spray on product she so negligently sells, after i called the complaint in she sent me another one that peels, all they advised was to spray it with cooking oil which seems to make it worse after the units are stored.) IF YOU CASH COWS SEE THIS POST WORD OF ADVICE RUN AND HIDE your money because its bad.

After ordering an Xpress cooker, I received two charged to my account for more than they actually cost. Now they are using my credit card and mailing me recipe booklets, charging me 18.95. This was unauthorized. How can I effectively stop them from doing this? I believe they will try to do this every month.

I purchased a new one on ebay, so I didn't have to deal with their Customer Service. But after four uses the non-stick coating started flaking off. Pict is after eight uses. It is now in the garbage. It is not even worth the time or effort to take it to the scrap dealer...

THANK YOU EVERYONE for your warnings about this product. I had wanted one for a very long time and was ready to order online until
I saw this page. I began reading, thinking I would read GOOD reviews. WOW! What a disappointment! I will neither buy online nor in stores. Thank you all for sharing.

I SENT MINE BACK AND GOT LESS THAN 1/3 OF MY MONEY BACK .THE PEOPLE THAT PUT GOOD REVIEWS ON HERE OBVIOUSLY WORK FOR THIS SORRY COMPANY !

I was reimbursed a temporary credit of my first payment for a product I didn't intend to get from RediSetGo.com. I canceled my bank card and have a new one, so there better not be shipping charges out of that account. Customer Service said there is a pre-paid shipping label in the box I haven't opened. You bet I will pay for tracking. I have written 20+ complaints to everyone I can think of in government, media, professional organization such as Chamber of Commerce, and to each of the four executive officers at GAIAM Americas, Inc., in Colorado, requesting they clean up the crooks on their partner site. I also filed a fraud complaint with the bank. I think we all want an end to Internet robbery. RediSetGo started this war; I intend to finish it. There are so many good online sites I order from, I hate it when a bad apple spoils the whole bunch. Jump on board with me. Strength in numbers and all that. Tell your stories to agencies who have the power to protect consumers.

The Redi Set Go company has the worst costumer service I have ever experienced. after opening the box, my friend found the dial broke. She contacted these people at the beginning of July. She lives overseas and hence gave them my TX address to send me the replace dial which I will forward to her since they told her they do not ship overseas. Well today is October 3rd and still nothing! I called and talked to some guy in costumer service who told me that he does not know what happened but that nothing was mailed. Unbelievable. Then he said that he will rush order the dial--nothing yet. My advice is stay away from this product and company. After they sell you their defective products they won't make it right. Do some research buy something else!

My 88 year old mother was just taken advantage of by this company - by one and get one free - what a joke - the shipping and handling charge was $59.50 on top of the merchansie - her total bill was for $139. When you look at the invoice it says you can return it minus the shipping and handling fee of $59.50 - so they get their money no matter what. No way does it cost $60 to mail out. She said she has learned her lesson - I hope so. She had placed a phone call to order and they just kept trying to get her to buy more ---- WHAT A RIP OFF.

I was just billed for a RediSetGo from the product website on an order I didn't finalize. I had gotten far enough to give all of my information before I closed the site, NOT finalizing the order. Guess I can kiss that dough goodbye. I was also told my order had been shipped even though I wasn't billed until 9/12; today is the 15th. I was told I could refuse the order, but after reading all of your comments, perhaps I should keep the cooker and tell my bank not to pay one more dime to that company. I ordered a cooker from Amazon and probably shouldn't have. It was supposed to be new, but the green ready light and timer bell do not work. Yes, it does look as though the coating is paint. Probably not safe to use. I also hate foreign customer service; they follow the script to the "T" and never is a problem resolved.

I was just charged on 9/12 for an order I didn't complete on the RediSetGo web site. They had my info and even though I did NOT complete the transaction, I closed the site, but the order was processed. I phoned the company and was greeted by a foreign voice. Like every other company with customer service in India, this guy followed the script. I was also told the cooker had been shipped. And I got no where with him. I was told to refuse the delivery in the 7 to 10 days when it should arrive. Will I be refunded? I doubt it. I ordered a Redi Set Go from Amazon for $27.99 it arrived in 4 days and was supposed to be new. The green ready light and timer bell do not work. So far it hasn't burned the house down. The cooker is a wonderful concept, but possibly garbage quality with lousy customer service.

I couldnt agree with you more! This company seems to thrive on fraudulent billing practices and should be prosecuted. A class action suit is just the thing we need. There is an attorney in town (washington DC), who specializes in extracting punitive damages from such companies through vigorous lawsuits. I will talk to them if we can get action from the rest of the customers. Till then, keep copies of the advertisements, and your bills, RECORD your conversations with their customer service representatives, and tell them that you are recording them. If you expect other charges to be added to your account and have not yet been applied, seriously consider contacting your back, or the card owner (VISA or MC), and blocking the account. File charges of fraudulent actions agains them, and also with the Consumer Protection Agency in your state. I also recommend contacting the Shopping Network that aired the program.

The product is cheap. They were bogus charges that ran the invoice up to over $100. I had specifically refused any additional or optional products or services. When I complained to the Customer service lady who called herself 'Stacey', she told me the additional charges were for the oval and muffin pans. spatula, and recipes. Apparently she hasnt read their own online advertisement, or saw the commercial. They were ALL included in the 2 for 1 product price of 2 payments of $19.99 each. Has anyone, or will anyone join me to sue these 'b*****ds'? They should not be allowed to advertise so fraudulently on TV or anywhere else

I just watched an infomercial on this product and was going to order one but I am so glad I googled it first. The people shilling the product are so smooth and very good at what they do. What I fail to understand is; why do companies sell inferior products and use sneaky and under-handed tactics to make their money? It seems to me that if they offered quality products they were not afraid to stand behind and they performed like they claimed in the infomercials, their product would be flying off the shelves and they would make more money in the long run. Word of mouth, especially via the internet is a powerful tool. Thanx for saving me some money and a lot of heedaches!

Wow, just watched the infomercial on TV for this and it seemed like such an awesome product I was going to order one. I am so glad I googled before doing so! They are so smooth shilling these products aren't they! If they really had such an amazing product like they claim they would not have to resort to such sneaky and underhanded tactics because they would be flying off the shelves and they would make tons of money. Whatever happened to companies having pride in their products and standing behind them 100 percent?

2/10/2011 I am sooooo disappointed with this company! After ordering the product which I got the buy one get the second free just pay seperate shipping and handeling it ended up costing me $105.65.
Today I realized that my credit card has a charge of $19.95 on it from a Shopping Essentials that is a scam through this company. They have charged me this amount for the past four months and I have recieved nothing for this charge. In addition they have sent me the extra pans twice that (I DID NOT ) ask for and charged my credit card $25.90 for each shipment. I am in the process of contacting my credit card company to dispute these charges and put a block on my account so there will be no more charges. I think it is a shame that these companies can keep getting away with this crap.I may not be able to get my full refund back but this is one ole girl that they will NEVER get a chance to screw over again. As far as the product itself I was disappointed in the size of it and I really haven't used it enough to make much of a decision about it.However I imagine from all the complaints I've read I pretty much know what to expect. If I ever give a word of good advice it would be DON"T deal with this company.
If you must have the product wait until it gets in the stores so you can see what your getting without the extra cost. Just a thought it would be great if no one ever bought another xpress cooker again and they would go out of business. Even better if they would have to reimburse all of us unsupecting victims. I learned my lesson. This is the first time ordering these TV specials. I too was duped! I received extra griddles and extra recipes that I did not order. They charged me $29.00 for these things. I spoke to someone at the help number, since she was absolutely no help, I insisted on speaking to her advisor, she said I could not, everything was routed, whatever, I politely disagreed with her and got to another person. They say they are going to credit my charge card the extra $29, after sending the extra stuff back. Never again! We will see if my charge card is credited, I am ready to put up a fight! A lesson learned!

Good news for all the people who bought the Redi set go and still want to enjoy it:
We bought two of the Redi set go and when we started to use them we noticed that the non stick surface was sticking even that we followed the seasoning procedure. Then, I tried to put a parchment paper on the bottom surface and then put whatever we prepared, and wallah, no more sticking, the paper did not burn or broke even when oils and liquids from the food were present, so now I am using every time parchment paper coated with Silicon, I heard this is the best one to use, and now we are enjoying the appliance, then the timer button fell off, so I am using now the timer function in my cellphone, I still think that this appliance is a great idea, it should be made with better materials, but I want to enjoy it as it is, so I found these two solutions which I am sharing with everyone, in the future if any company will make the same idea better I will sure by it because this is very useful appliance to me. Hope it will help to cheer up all the people who have bought it like me and want to still enjoy working with it.

I too have been charged for the recipe club, I did not order, I clicked NO THANKS on every page, that kept popping up.I ordered Thursday night, Received email confirmation of my order within minutes with the extra charge, I emailed them within a few minutes to dispute the charge for cathy's recipe club, as of Saturday night 9:00 PM, I have not gotten anything back from them, Going to try and call them tomorrow and hopefully get the mess figured out.
However, if not possible I will cancel and report to the BBB and the state Attorney General.

I waited till it was in the store to buy one, bigest mistake ever. The first one the light did not work. I took it back to the store.I got another one, the machine got way to hot and the timer melted and quit working . I took it back no problem but will never buy a product from this company ever again. DO NOT ORDER OR BUY THIS PRODUCT.

Every complaint I've read you can DOUBLE for me! I ordered by telephone (never again!) to an automated device which doesn't allow you to ask for clarification. When asked "do you want your oder to be shipped in one package or two?" I responded "two" since I was ordering - or so I THOUGHT! - two units, one for a gift. I received FOUR UNITS, some with an extra insert or a tool, some with nothing extra. The order WAS shipped in two containers but I certainly had no need for 4 units! When I called to complain and to find out how the "extra" (unordered!) two units could be returned and refunded I was told that they were unreturnable and that postage & handling was "non-refundable"! I cancelled any further shipments to my address (I had okayed the recipes on a trial basis) but will have to wait to see if that one call will accomplish this. Evidently this has been going on with this outfit for some time and I don't understand why they are still allowed on TV, bilking the public in this manner. I too am living on Social Security and am now being billed for over $200 for something that I do not even want! A VERY expensive lesson!

I recieved the redi set go xpress as a Christmas gift and was excited to try it. The first meal the omelet worked out fine, although I could feel a lot of heat, the second meal the baked potatoes, smoked and burned tasted terrible, decided to give it another try and did the coated baked chicken, the teflon came off on the chicken and the paint cracked and bubbled around the timer & the chip flew and actually hit me when standing next to it. When wiping the machine down I noticed the top of the grill had marks from the heat. The machine was properly seasoned and I had followed the directions carefully and also read the entire 2 booklets that came with it. What a neat concept, easy and time saving, too bad the product was so cheaply made. Thankfully it was purchased at a Target store and they gracefully took it back as a "defective item".No More As Seen On TV products for us, (Shake Weight for example). After reading all of the complaints I am surprised that this company is allowed to do business. Thank you for letting me share.

I bought a Xpress ready set go f"cathy Mitchell's meals in minutes unit for Xmas.

What a rip-off. They say it's buy one, get one free, but the first one is $39.90 and then for the second one they charge you $29.90 for S & H alone so your paying almost full price. But that's not the worst part, the second one doesn't come with the inserts, you pay seperate for them, but I was not told that up front. I had givien that one as a xmas gift and was so embarrased, when she called to tell me it was useless without the parts, so I gave her mine.
Called in several times and finally was able to get a hold of someone after a week of trying, (they are always closed!) The person I spoke to was not concerned, only tried to sell me the missing parts. When I said heck no! She asked me to read the fine print and hung up on me!
Pissed me off, so I went on my face book and told everyone know not to buy this and to pass the message on which they are doing! These people should be in trouble for false advertisement!

What are you trying to do to me. I will never ever buy anything thing thIs way ever ever again. I heard on your TV comercial that buy one and get one free & I was to receive (2) Express for the price of one. I did order them on your telephone number [protected]. Irecweived them and you charged me full price for the two Express's plus postage - $39.99 + $3999 +$14.95 + $14.95 = $109.88 You took $110.55 ($.67 CENTS MORE) out of my account that shows on my bank statement. My December bank statement of December, 2010 you took out $19.95 MORE. I was angry & could not believe your company would do this to me. Please give me your reason for charging me another $19.95. I am vey disappointed n your accounting system. Refund me the $19.95 immediately plus what ever else is coming to me. I will also call you and get this straitened out to my satisfaction. Send me an answer by my email address. December 2010 got charged an Extra $19.95 Please refund. L.BREFELD

I have just filed a complaint with BBB, as this company is a scam. I have ordered twice and been sent the recipes which automatically enrolls me into the recipe of the month club. I have complained both times and asked that I be removed from the recipe of the month club. Both time I have been told by the "customer service" that I clicked on the link to join the recipe club. What a scam and we will not be buying anything with Kathy Mitchel's name associated with it as she has allowed deceitful tactics to be used with her name...what a shame, we always like her.

My friend Bill ordered the set with an additional one for me. After 3 uses the "non stick coating" flaked off on my set. His coating flaked off after the first use. When we called to complain they offered to ship us a replacement. What! So we can get another defective item. Also, they will only return $39.00 of the $69.80 we originally paid and we have to pay the shipping charges to return the items. I would not recommend purchasing the item from a local store. I would not recommend purchasing it at all. It may be easier to return locally but it is defective and who wants to deal with the hassle. As far as I'm concerned the whole thing is a scam.

Well, I certainly wish I would have checked these comments before mentioning to my mom that I might like one of these as a christmas gift. She ordered one for me last week, and called me in tears today when she received it and her bill. She received a bill for $84.65 today, which is just one of two installments!
She ordered based on the wonderful "infomercial" which makes it seem like you are just paying $39.90 plus s&h. Keep in mind that my mom is 73 years old, and is not the best at using an automated system for ordering things on the phone anyway. I truly believe that this company is taking advantage of an elderly person that could be easily duped, and charged her for things she didn't know she was being charged for. She tried to call to cancel the order, and the rep told her that she couldn't return it, and even if she did that she would be responsible for over $80.00 in S&H. Seriously? $80.00 in S&H? I called myself this morning, and the rep told me that the price for the 2 units (One plus the one "free" one) was $39.90 and shipping and handling of $29.90,
then she supposedly "agreed" to the recipe book and utensils, which I am sure she thought came with it, because that is what the commercial leads you to believe. Of course, this is an "additional" recipe book and utensils!
Recipe book is $9.95 plus $4.95 S&H, and the utensils are $14.95 plus $4.95 S&H. He said we could send the order back, but we are still responsible for the $39.80 in S&H charges. Basically this is just a big nasty scam of a company! Fortunately, she purchased it with her bank card, and when we called today the charges had not gone through yet, so we cancelled the card. Thank goodness for that because she is on a fixed income and can't afford these ridiculous charges. At this point, I am so disgusted with the company, that I will not buy one even if they do become available at retail stores!

Wow... thankyou all so much. I was thinking this product would be awesome to make my kids a quick lunch, but feeding them teflon, or some other paint or coating is absolutely out of the question. I will stay at the stove to prepare my family's meals! Thankyou all again for the heads up!
