After watching infomercial about new GT Express Ready Set go product, I decided to order online. When paying for order I noticed they charged me for a receipe club that I had clicked No Thanks to. Because I figured I could straighten this out after I placed the order I continued to process the order. I also noticed the shipping and handling increased from $17 to $22. I tried to call customer service and found out they were closed. I sent an email instead with of course no reply. I finally talked to their customer service to be told that I clicked yes to the recipe club and after insisting that I knew better they said they would refund $4.95 to me. I insisted on the $9.95 and they said okay. Nothing was mentioned about the additional shipping and handling. I asked if item had shipped and of course they told me it was in the process and they could not cancel. The selling points on this item in the informercial is the installment payments and free expidited shipping. I ordered Saturday and this is Wednesday and it still has not shipped and was told 7-10 days after it did ship and that was their expidited shipping because normally it takes 20 days. They charged me the full amount also, and said I choose that option also. The original product is a good product, who knows about this new product, but it sadens me that they have resorted to these shady business products. I will be reporting to the Better Business Bureau. Oh, I was also told to refuse package, but I will probably not be able to recover all of the money I have been charged, and I shipped to my home and will not be home to refuse it.

Oh boy, I just ordered it and have wanted one of these things for a long time. I called to cancel the order after reading the reviews and the customer service department is closed. I wish I had read the reviews first but the infomercials are so inviting. I'm afraid to use the thing because many have stated the devise gets very hot and I don't need teflon peeling into my meals. I'm so bummed because I was looking forward to perfect omelets. The bad reviews out number the good on every website I've read by far so it's clear is very wrong with this product.

Wish me luck, I just ordered an hour ago.

I just got the kick in the pants this morning mself. First thing the lady said was she was gonna give me two options. I went "nutsoid". I told her she had one option and that was they are going to refund my account the extra money that stole from me or i wasnt letting the payment clear as it is still pending in my checking account. She said that item had already shipped and i explained to her that the ball was now in my court. My bank agreed to not release the funds till i call them back. If it gets here and i havent seen a new amout due in my account. I guess i won. These guys are no reputable stay away!

I also have issues with this company...the cooker itself is ok...makes good toasted sandwiches which is about all I use it for..HOWEVER the company is the pits. Everyone who has said they add on things (and charge you for them) when they were supposed to be free is correct...they also do not give you any of the inserts for the "free" unit...shipping is outrageous, and worst of all they continue to send and CHARGE you for stuff after you cancel the subsequent orders which you didn't ask for and don't want anyway. When you return them, they charge you outrageous shipping fees and do not credit the original shipping fees. Honestly I'll be shocked if I even get a partial refund of the charges they put on my credit card...just thought, I'm gonna call my credit card company and dispute the charges! The product is definitely not worth all this "you-know-what"!

MY CREDIT CARD COMPANY IS FILING A DISPUTE OF THE CHARGES AND BLOCKING ANY FURTHER CHARGES FROM THIS COMPANY...ANYONE WHO IS EXPERIENCING THESE PROBLEMS SHOULD DO THE SAME!

We shipped ours back by UPS even though we had to pay for the return shipping, it was a lot cheaper than using their return label and them charging you exorbitant shipping fees. This company is very deceptive in their advertising and the BBB needs to somehow put a stop to it considering how many complaints have been posted about it.

Everything Mcneillmama said happen to me. Only the coating started to peel off after only using 2 times and I used the special tool and watching Kathy on TV, I have been cooking over 60 years . The old saying " Fool me once( GT Express 101) fool mt twice ( Express Redi Set Go ) and my saying never never order anything from this company or any thing that Cathy Mitchell pitches. Did You know that their customer service is in the Phiippines and couldnot get an answer where this product was made. I also was sent 2 . One ordered on line and there was no way to say NO to. Was never told the amount. I called C/S right way to cancelled, was told she had no record, call back later, kept putting me on hold. The oper. who told me to called back later put an unauthorized order thru. The on line order was billed to my Card for over $125.00. The next one came the next day for $ 39.95. Called C/C wanted a prepaid label for the first one, was told they don't do that so my account was refunded only 91.54. They took $34.44 for shipping out of the online that was supposed to becancelled . It did no good at all to talk to C/B . The recipe books are another story The principle is good but the workmanship is inferior. Buy locally for products easier if you have to return

This is definitely a rip-off company that just wants your money and sells by very deceptive advertising. They make it sound like you are getting two grills and only have to pay two payments of $19.95...what a joke. The BBB or a State Attorney General should investigate this company and put a stop to their deceptive practices.

the same basically happened to me regarding shipping charges and unwilling to settle with customer non service. i bought the scratch cover and said no to everything. product charge about $30. total bill $120. lowered it to $90. they said if im still not happy i can return product and get my $30. back and i have to pay for shipping back to the company. i cant even look at the product because it brings back all these horrendous memories. i will NEVER buy any of these tv products through the mail. you can get them at the store eventually with NO shipping and handling fees.

We ordered the Express Ready Set Go and were not satisfied so sent it back before even using it via UPS which cost us $12.08. They charged us $34.85 for shipping and handling plus $49.85 for the two units...what rip-off. Now theyve deducted $19.95 from our checking account for the second payment. We've called their customer service and were told we would only receive a refund of $49.85. Buyer's beware...this is a rip-off company.

Like some of the others, I ordered the the express cooker on line which was supposed to include 2 cookers and accessories with a cook book on the phone and did not want any other extras, which came to $39.90 plus shipping and that the was $ 29, 90. and that comes to a total of $69.80. Our account was charged $115.60 for extras that we did not order including a bi- monthly cook book for 9.95 plus shipping of $4.95 each every other month that we do not want. I called the company and they said that we ordered every thing and that was what they were sending us [NOT TRUE] but if we wanted to we could send the extra stuff back but would not refund the freight, so we will not accept the order when it comes if it comes. We are going to call the Better Business Bureau and Consumers Report about this. also we have requested our card co. to reverse the charges. C Reynolds

I ordered an Xpress Redi Set Go and I not comfortable to use this product because it is not non-stick and after 2 weeks
the black coating started bubbling up and cracking. They sent by mail booklets without my order and took my money from visa card without my permission. This is an abuse. Stop this practice, it is not fair.

The same day I received my redi set go I received a Carol Wright catalog offering the same
item for $13.00 less. After two emails and a phone call to their so called customer service
dept. I received a sarcastic email telling me I looked at the wrong picture in the catalog.
What a sleazy outfit. Why do I get the feeling this product will self-destruct after a
few uses.

I was considering to purchase the Xpress Redi-Set-Go, but have changed my mind since I will not buy a product with so many customer complaints.
The issue with the Telfon peeling and costumer complaints about the company's deceptive pricing is not what I'm looking for. I need a stable product that will do the job as it says it will.
However, I liked what was shown in the infomercial and I am still looking for a product that can cook that way. I also need it to be durable and useful on the daily basis.
Is there any other cooking machine that can perform tasks like the Xpress Redi-Set-Go, but without too many problems? (if price wasnt too much of an issue)

I, too, feel I was scammed by the GT Express ordered on TV. I've has success ordering other tv products, but this was really a total disaster. First was the recipe club disaster described in the original complaint here. I did NOT order it, but was charged and they sent it. I could not "refuse the shipment" as I was not home when the first "club" recipes arrived. They weren't even worth the charge, if I'd wanted them! Did I get any money back? No. To make matters worse, I wasn't expecting such a short cord, so I couldn't use the thing until I rearranged my small countertop ... removing my microwave. THEN once I did rearrange my counter, after only 3 uses the "special non stick surface" began peeling off both the top and the bottom! I only got 6 uses, total, out of both GTExpress 101s before I had to throw them away! PRODUCT no good, billing no good. I do NOT recommend anything from this company. LOOKS wonderful on TV ... I wish it was as good as advertised. Cathy Mitchell should be ashamed of herself.

As others stated the web ordering process is tricky, you need to pay attention to all the 'free' extras which...well cost extra. We picked out a steak recipe collected the ingredients and off we go. Turned it on, green light comes on, steak in and timer set for seven minutes. Noted the entire unit gets HOT so was very careful about keeping things away. The timer went off (very low ding), checked the temperature of the meat and set for another 3 minutes. This time it is good to go so we turn the unit off while preparing the second steak.
We turn the unit back on, insert second steak and this time set the timer for 8 minutes. Notice the unit is getting extremely hot this time. At 7 minutes it seems the unit is turning a darker shade of red but continue on. Since the meat is not done we close the lid and try to set the timer for 2 more minutes but the timer knob does not seem right. It is then we notice the paint is starting to bubble and the timer knob comes off because it has melted. We turn the unit off and pull the plug. To be fair the steaks we cooked, the onions were mostly burnt and the mushrooms were just dry.
We are obviously returning this thing as for us it is a major safety hazard. I soaked the bottom section for an hour then began the scrubbing process to clean it up. Noticed the coating was coming off so just gave up. Overall nothing good to say about this think.
Be careful…there is no user temperature controls so if the automatic temperature control fails it will just keep getting hotter.

Well my story is I got ripped too... I bought it by phone one morning and I even send them I''m e-mail warning them I wasn't interested in any books, just wanted the pot and the trays FOR $40. When I received it they had charged me $97. So I called them and barked at them for the scam they are for charging extra then what they announced. They refused to charge me less than that and then I asked to speak to manager and then they refused to and charged me $30.00 less. So intead of paying "39.99" I paid $67.00 for that stupid thing. BUT I CONFESS I DO LIKE IT AND I MAKE MY HUSBAND'S BREAKFAST IN IT ABOUT 6 TIMES A WEEK, SO EVEN IF GOT RIPPED I'M HAPPY ABOUT HOW HANDY IT IS. PS THEY ALSO TOLD ME THEY DIDN'T GET MY EMAIL EVEN THOUGH I GOT A DELIVERY STATUS RECEIVED. ! WARNING DON'T BUY IT BY THE PHONE, IF INTERESTED DO IT ONLINE AND BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL ON WHAT YOU CHOOSE! BECAUSE THEY ARE FILTHY RATS IF ANY GOT RIPPED DON'T BE SCARE CALL THEM AND FIGHT FOR AT LEAST SOME OF YOUR MONEY BACK

I just read the two pages of negative comments about the redi-set-go cooker. I was also charged for products I did not order this company should be ashamed of themselves. The pans are cheaply made and because they are made in China I wouldn't buy the product online or in stores. This so called company should be reported on CNN or major newsmedia to alert potential customers of their shady parctices!

Yes, I am the latest victim to this scam. I was enticed by the 2 pmts of $19.95, with the free upgrad to express shipping. Thinking it would be an easy way to cook meals for my 14 year old daughter. I was kept on the phone for apx. 30 minutes with offer after offer. I did give in to the additional pans (which I really didn't need once I saw them $19.95), the accessory kit ($14.95), and then the cooker itself (39.90). I couldn't figure out why the total was $103 and then I saw the stiff, outrageous amount I was charged for "free upgrade to Xpress shipping" which was $27.85! So according to the testimonies... the P&H gets more expensive each day! I am going to call and ensure I am not enrolled in any type of "recipe" or "additional pan" club because I'm sure they will try to let me have it with additional, outrageous charges! For a simple $39.90 product, I am out $103. and not happy. Another valuable lesson learned... if it sounds decent or like a good deal... IT's NOT! E. Shaver

I ordered the readisetgo cooker from tv and was very nervous about what I would actually receive as I have not fallen for these commercials before. I fully expected a piece of junk, but instead I found a very useful device for my kind of cooking. It is attractive and works exactly as advertised, tho sometimes it needs a minute or two longer than the recipe suggests. I ordered several of the cook pans and after using it for a while i ordered more recipes. I have never been able to cook a decent omelet but now mine are perfect. I was really tickled with my cooker until tonight. While it was cooking I noticed that the timer was not ticking so I moved the dial a hit and it started to tick again. Then it stopped once more and when I moved the dial it broke off in my hand. i am very disappointed but plan to call the company tomorrow and hopefully they will send me a new dial. If they will not, I will pack up the whole set, and send it back to them (probably with a nasty note) and just chalk it up to yet another modern convenience that has broken on me. STay tuned, those who are interested.

I bit the bullet on this one too. After it costing about $100 the thing almost caught on fire. I was doing a steak per their instructions and it started cracking and then i noticed the paint bubbling around the timer.. boxed it up and sent it back by way of the pre addressed label. Now after 3 months they tell me they have not received the item or the papers that accompanied it. I agree with the others, wait till it's in a store at least you won't get charged for stuff you didn't order and if something goes wrong you can return it for your full refund with no hassle.

I ordered online and should have known better because I had read complaints about this company. I was very careful to not order anything except the RSG product, that's it. I reviewed my order carefully and I was certain (still am certain) that I agreed only to buy the product, nothing else. 3 months later, charges showed up on my credit card. I called and was told they shipped me extra pans that I ordered. I DID NOT ORDER THEM! I held my position that I did not order anything except the initial order 3 month prior. I was told I had to wait for what they shipped, that I did not order, that will take 3 to 4 weeks, mark it refused, and when they receive it back, they'll refund my money, that will take 2 or 3 weeks. OMG. I cancelled my credit card so they cannot get more money from me. Careful, I agree with one review above, wait until it's in the stores and buy it there if you must have it. 3 months having it, I now see I could have definitely lived without this product but it can be convenient at times. I just wish I had not ordered online and waited until it hit the As Seen On TV store, Walmart, etc.

I suppose to pay $39.98 plus S/H of $16.97. After I clicked two freebies, my final charge was almost $100. I couldn’t undo the freebies. However, I used the credit card. I’ll dispute these charges with my credit company instead. I had same experience with another infomercial.

Interesting... I was going to order the GT Express until I Google-mapped their company address (listed above at: GT Express, 104 Natalie Dr., Swansea, IL.) and it came up as a trailer park on the street view! Not even a building, but a place on wheels. Made me turn the other way and run just to see that. Not too many reputable businesses are run out of mobile homes...unless it's a mobile home business!

this is for the infamercial ordering complaines.i also have ordered in the past with the same results, that a lot of extra charges where put on the orders, no address or e mail to ask questions before, only after giving the credit card number and info.
when i got the answer finely about all the things i was charged for because i suposedly
clicket the wrong phone button or said the wrong thing, noticing i would not get anywhere with this special trained person to dodge questions by giving reasonable answers, my next call was to the credit card company, telling them i did not gave authorisation on all those extra charges so they put a block on and investigation,
i got all the items as listed in the infamercial but only the price as said on tv.the same about items advertised free for only a very little shipping charge on a major credit card,
and 20 days later a full bill for the next (one of many )shippment at full price.got it all canceled.a lot of stores like target, wallgreen, etc carry the items a few weeks after the infamercial first starts. get smart and fight back.

I ordered redisetgo online and like one of the previous writers I was very careful about selecting the correct answers (NoThanks) on each page, so no problem with any extra charges. Received it in a timely manner from FED EX.

It is small but will be fine for quick snacks and lunch. The concept is great and the grilled cheese sandwich I made was perfect.
I wish they made one in a family size as it is to small to cook an entire meal on.

Hopefully the teflon will not peel off as mentioned in previous texts..maybe they have corrected this...I am happy with mine.

I do not understand what everyone is so upset about. Read what you are ordering before you click submit. Shipping and handeling charges are clearly stated so you can't complain after you placed an order. A lot of companies get you with high shipping and handeling charges. A lot of mail order items have high shipping such as Fingerhut. I totally agree Mark Stephens! People get mad at someone else because of their own mistakes.

I just received this as a gift for my birthday and wish I could have refused it. It is so tiny that you can't possibly cook a meal for 2 and the "pizza in minutes" wouldn't even feed 1 person. I was floored when I saw that they had charged $21.90 for postage and handling! What a scam. My husband must have ordered it on the 800# because the billing price is $49.85 and the internet price is now +/-$40. Total price on this unit per packing slip $71.75. Wish my husband had given me the cash and let me choose my own gift but bless him he thought it would be a help in the kitchen and save me some time. If I was feeding fairies or munchkins it probably would. I think I'm going to list it on Craig's list and try to get at least $40 for it. If I return it I will be out the original shipping and return shipping and will have spent about $30 to and fro to save $50. Pass on this puppy because it is a real dog! *PJ in San Diego*

The worst part about the GT Express Ready set Go besides the ordering process, is that the coating which is supposed to be non-stick, starts peeling off in a few weeks, despite carefully following the instructions. Once the coating starts peeling, things start sticking to the top and of course you have pieces of black coating in your food. This has been a problem with this type of product, going back years, when it was the GT Express 101. They claim that the new Model the Readi Set Go, solved the coating problem, but it did not. They even have a Yahoo Forum on this product, hosted by Cathy Mitchell, and if you join the forum and start asking questions about the coating, the members basically tell you to "shut up" and don't complain. I think they have some company employees that monitor the forum.

I would avoid getting this product, if the idea of having teflon in your food, doesn''t appeal to you.

I just ordered a ptoduct from them and had no trouble at all. All I had to do was read each page on their web site and select "No thanks" when it was something I did not want. At the end of the order it gave ma confirmation number and clearly spelled out what I would be charged. I have a felling that some of the complaints are by people that did not carefully read what they were ordering.

My friend ordered this item and loves the ease of use and says the food is great, but she too was duped and charged extra for things she did not order nor received.
I personally would love to have one, but will wait for it to come to a local store. I did finally speak with a live person who stated they only take the orders and the actual custoner service numer of the company is different from what is listed on the web site. Supposedly it is [protected]. I voiced my concerns about overblling and was given the option of sending in payment by money order ($56.85). Takes a little longer to receive, but nothing to add charges to. Also using a "postal" money order affords you the support of the postal service against ffraudulent activities.

But, I will still wait til its available locally.
