I responded to a pop-up "opinion survey, " that said "Cox" across the top, which sounded safe to me. In exchange for answering four questions, I could have my choice of "gifts, " for which I would pay shipping and handling. As soon as I selected my "gift" and submitted my bank account information, I was kicked off the website. I was not sure the information had gone through until the handling charges showed on my bank statement a few days later and I received a bottle of Green Garcinia Pro in the mail. If there were any disclaimer that said by accepting this "free gift, " I would be subscribing to receive a bottle of supplements every month and my account would be charged $89.97, it would have been after I was disconnected. It did not appear on my screen before I was disconnected. How convenient. I also learned that my computer had been hacked and a worm implanted that allowed others to see my confidential information, After 4 hours with Microsoft tech support and $300 later, I got my pc cleaned up. Coincidence? Seems a little suspicious to me. When I first saw the deduction from my bank account, the only info I or the bank could find was the word "diet" and a phone number. I tried for several days at different times of the day and night to call the number and only ever got a busy signal.
