great universal and kd products / please read email typed

I am writing this email in disgust at the items I have received please fully read this email and you will see why I cannot believe the low level service I have received from such a reputable group

I have order items via one of your customers acting as an agent her name and details are:

The items I ordered where

Milano two drawer wardrobes

After waiting the specified time for the 1st item to be delivered which was 3 weeks the 1st items turned up which was the two bedside cabinets I opened the 1st one and built it only to find once I got to the drawers there where no drawer runners I phoned the agent straight away who requested some to be sent

I then opened the second one only to find this was damaged on the edges so I took the drawers runners out of this one and made one good one out of the two items I rang the agent straight away and she cancelled the drawer runners

The items that had to be returned where picked up 1 week later in this time though a parcel came which contained 2 drawer runners which was cancelled but this came along with 5 drawers fronts for some unknown reason as the cabinets only take two drawers each but I hadn’t ordered any this is only the start of things to come

The next items to turn up ws the 2 door wardrobes these came in two packages per wardrobes
I unpacked the main part of the wardrobes the doors where packed in a separate package I followed in the instructions and had checked this item for damage prior to building once I completed it all I the unpacked the doors to the 1st one only to find that they where damaged the seam …just wasn’t seamed I then rang the agent who rang you only to be told that the doors on there own couldn’t be sent back and that I had to take the wardrobe apart .. to build took me two hours with two young children hanging around you this is difficult so rather than take apart the whole item I unpacked the second lot of doors to try and do as I did with the bedside cabinets and make one good from the two delivered when I unopened the doors I couldn’t believe it they where both battered in at the corners which rendered them totally useless.
I argued the toss that I shouldn’t have to take the one down that I had spent hours building but you insisted that I had to do this so under duress I took it apart and packed it away, these items where then put in my way stacked in my hallway awaiting a collection to be made
One week later they arrived and did not take the goods which is fair comment it was a two man lifting job and only one turned up so I was given a phone number to ring
Which I did the same day and ordered a two man crew the date came for the packages to go back I arranged a house sitter to be here for them …they never arrived so I rang back again only to be told that someone at the office forgot to take a note of the collection so another date was made they finally come and moved the packages after a long wait.

The next item to arrive was the 5 drawer chest I unpacked 100% checked and built this was fine

The next item to come was the re-ordered bedside cabinet 100% checked and this was fine

Bearing in mind this was now approx 8 weeks waiting

The next item was the overbed unit I 100% checked and this was fine

I though I was on a roll when the wardrobes turned up last week I unpacked the 1st one 100% checked all parts for damage and built it this was perfect

The second one I unpacked 100% checked for damage which there where none and built the wardrobe part 1st following the instruction manual the doors are the last item to fit I finished all the wardrobe and fitted the right hand door this was perfect
I then put the hinges on the left hand door fitted the door tweaked it to reduce the gap and this was all going to well when I came to fit the handles the holes where not drilled in the correct place the holes for the right hand door where correct the left hand ones are about 4 inches out I cannot finish this wardrobe at all now

I have just rang the agent only to be told that she will be told the same again that I must take the wardrobe back apart and pack it away … well why should I do this when its not my fault the manufacturer put the holes in the wrong place .. now fair do the instruction does say to check that the pieces aren’t damaged before building them but am I supposed to measure the holes ??? I don’t think so, so can you please deal with this request either by ringing your customers Lisa Roberts on [protected] or by Contacting me Direct either by email at jban655@aol.com or telephone [protected] my mobile I DO NOT WANT TO TAKE THIS APART AND HAVE TO REBUILD ANOTHER ONE
In this package I am missing the handles which I didn’t realise until the very end as it is the last piece to be fitted
I think I have suffered enough

P.S AND I AM NOT BOTHERED ABOUT THIS IN PARTCULAR BUT EVERY ITEM I HAVE HAD EVEN THE GOOD ONES EITHER HAD NO COVER CAPS FOR THE SCREWS OR IF THEY WAS PRESENT DIDN’T FIT AND SOME OF THE SCREWS FOR THE HANDLE WHERE NOT LONG ENOUGH SO I PURCHASED SOME

ITS SAYS ON THE ORDER FORM ALLOW 14 WORKING DAYS FOR PARTS NOW DON’T YOU THINK I HAVE WAITED LONG ENOUGH 10 WEEKS + UP TO DATE

    i am not writing to complain but i bought a full set of furnature for my daughters bedroom it was the scoop range beech and mocha the wood that sits under the materess has broken and was wondering who to get in touch with to see if i can get a replacement.

    I too have purchased the Milano 6 door wardrobes and after waiting 8 weeks for the wardrobes to arrive, we found that the right end door the holes which hold the fixes on for the wardrobes door to be attached were drilled wrong, we too we told to take the wardrobe down instead we just drilled the hole ourselves.

    We thought that was the end it took 2 days to build the dam thing and we went to attach the door handles they did not fit! the screw holes in the door handle were too big so the screw would not catch. we thought no problems just send the form off and receive the handles in 14 days. The handles arrive only to find they had been drilled wrong as well. With no other form to fill in i have been ringing the numbers for KD Products after finding them on the internet to no avail.

    So i think its time to either go down there myself or try my luck with great universal.

    I have been waiting 3 months for a Pisa six door wardrobe. I ordered 2 two door wardrobes, 1 three door wardrobe, a bedside cabinet and 2 4 x 4 drawer chests. Every piece of furniture has either had parts missing or damaged. It is shocking that I have had to wait 3 months for the last part of the order, which incidentally has not arrived yet. I dread to think what will be missing or damaged from this item. I hasten to add that I will not be ordering again from Kays Catalogue. There should be some compensation in place for the distress this has caused.

    i got your flexi wardrobe units with the corner robe but cant seem to fix it how it should be, because the way it looks in the book we cant have it against the wall so we cant fix the bit to hold it

    I ordered the Milano 2 door wardrobe, the 5+5 drawer & the bedside cabinet.the bedside cabinet arrived within 2 weeks, the wardrobe within 3, both were fine. Aweek later the 5+5 arrived on 29/5/08, this was minus the right side. Per the leaflet inside i was advised to contact K D Products Ltd, this i did that evening, i was emailed back on 2/6/08 stating the replacement part would be delivered in 10 working days. On 18/6/08 i emailed to inform them it had not arrived and when would it be sent. On 20/6/08 they emailed back to say it was dispatched with city Link that day.I emailed themon 25/6/08 & 28/06/08 with no response, between this i phoned the helpdesk around 50 times, the call was never answered. I then faxed a letter of compalint and asked for a response by email, this never arrived.On Friday 4/7/08 i looked the Company up on the internet and called the number advertised 01978 661797 at 11 am, i explained why i caaled and the lady tried to put me through but with no luck, she advised me she would get someone to call me back in 10 minutes, at 2pm i was pretty mad so i called the number and a voice message stated they closed at 1.30 pm. Inbetween all this i called the catalogue i purchased it from, the sister Company Marshall Ward and was told as i had gone direct to the supplier there was nothing they could do and i had to contact the supplier.I will have another go on Monday, to say i am annoyed is an understatement. It seems as if they are purposefully ignoring me, but i will be calling every hour until someone deals with this, the customer service is diabolical.

    I have ordered the Milano bedroom furniture from Littlewoods and have received 3 different wardrobes with missing parts or no instructions. I am jus fed up waiting for collections and parts just i've finished this commnet i am going to email KD products for the back to the wardrobe and the back for the bedside cabinet. I have spoken to Littlewoods who says they will contact them. Please everyone complain to the catalogue comp. I believe legally you are all due for expenditure caused by telephoning them because of faulty goods etc look into it.

    Ordered Detroit Shelf Robe unit from Argos online. Item arrived with 2 drawer wraps and 2 drawer bottoms missing as well as the unit back. It's not the best quality but then I didn't expect it to be for the price. What I did expect was to receive all the parts so I could assemble it.

    Emailed K D Products as shown on the instructions and have had NO reply. If I get no joy by next Tuesday, I will contact Argos and demand a refund and arrangement to carry the unit away.

    Then I will leave a bad review on Argos for dealing with such a rubbish supplier.

    How many days of work do I have to miss for this ### up?
