Greatclips concept is great, but the franchisees do not follow the guidelines of the BRAND NAME to be successful. I came back to Greatclips full time, as a manager June 26th 2009. This year 2010, I achieved 5 records weeks and was $100 dollars short from making another record week 10/1/2010. I went into work 10/5/2010, only to be terminated. Terry crow franchise in Tampa, Florida. I never called in sick, missed days, nor had any written performance or customer documentations. Without warning On 10/5/2010 Jennifer and Terry the general mangers, presented to me 2 documentations dated 9/16/2010. One stating I was being placed on probation and the other terminating my employment all in the same day. I was asked to turn in my keys and leave the premises. I originally joined Greatclips in 2002 as a stylist. I have always enjoyed working for the company. I don't know what happened, and I am in search for answers.

I WORK AT GREAT CLIPS NOW FOR A YEAR AND NOW I FIND OUT THIS COMPANY IS SO MUCH ABOUT THEMSELVES, THEY LIE TO U, SCHEDULING IS AWEFUL, MANAGER IS A RUDE GAY GUY WHO GETS HIS OWN CLIENT AND THAN U STAND AROUND WHY HE CUTS ALL KINDS OF HAIR, I CANNOT MAKE NO MONEY HERE, SO IF YOUR THINKING U CAN, THINK AGAIN, BEWARE OF MOUNTAIN VIEW GREAT CLIPS!

I have to say this was indeed the worst company i ever worked for. I worked there a little over a year... i could write a book about all the things that happened in that store that were totally unapporiate but at this moment i cant because of legall isuess. If you had the pleasure of meeting with Jennifer please never shake her hand because she will try to break your bones and that is no joke. Jennifer likes to brag about her "party girls" who are two managers that love to party...with customers outside of the work place. I have been there and witnessed this and i feel that this is very wrong. I also have heard alot about Jennifer from the manager of the store I worked at and i feel sad that one day her party girls might get into trouble, after hearing that Jennifer has made them drinks at events that are at our local colleges. Now i don't know if this is a fact, it was something that my manager stated. Now that I am out of that work place my life has been so much less streesful... i don't have people asking me for money so they can pay bills or whatever they do! I work without the stress of coworkers and i enjoy life and I am very thankful that I don't have to deal with the drama!
I know the 2 women you are referring to. They ended up getting fired for inappropriate relationships with the 2 male stylists at our salon. Jennifer is beyond fake very tough and everyone is replaceable. I hate working at Bruce B Downs salon. Very uncomfortable environment l.
Wow. I also have worked for terry since he purchased our salon here in st. Louis. After 20 years I decided to go full service. It's a scary move, but after having my position threatened monthly and humiliated for not selling enough products, I know that great clips is just not the place for me. I Amin the business of customer service. he is in the business of cheap labor.
Good luck, and you'll be better off staying away from the haircut factories.
I alos worked for Great Clips, and its all about quanity not quality, forget about creativity. But what does being gay have to do with anything Wendy Sue? Sounds like you may be a bit of a homophobe.
I worked for great clips in winchester va for 2 years and at both salons.I agree with the girln up above they lie to u and they tried to accuse me of stealing money.They make u all these promises like oh i will give u all your benefits back when u all pick back up and yeah we have NO BENEFITS stupid owners came in and took them all away.so needless to say i do not like great clips and will NEVER work forthis no good company again
Perhaps the issues center around your complete inability to comprise one sentence correctly and that fact that you refer to him as a rude gay guy ... just spit-balling.
While I am not necessarily aruging your experiences since I have no way to challenge them, I am simply playing devil's advocate and looking at it from the point of view you publicized.
