I had been in this company called Granton Singapore located at HongKOng street. They have just open a new branch at clementi .i work there 3 weeks ago, its a door to door advertiseing company.. which they" pay" me a basic of $1600 a month... which included commission by selling promotion cards at 29.90. even if the monthly total commission did not hit my $1600 basic they will top up for me... but they did not...they just toast me away which my probation period is not even 1 month saying that i am not suitable for the job where by they save up 400 dollar to top up my basic salary! they scam and been useing all the staff to sell the cards.you can see new faces showing up to work which they dont last 4 to 5 days..recruiting by posting at newspaper promoting that its a U S base company recruiting manager or trainee like that... pls pass the msg around which those victim are going for the interview.. they wont sign any black or white contact.

Why am I not surprised about this Thomas Toh Didymuz?

This guy, or rather, this [censored] whose name is Thomas Toh Tong Nam was my logistics SCM course mate at SUSS, previously SIM!

In class, it is very obvious that this [censored] is ogling at all the hot hunky guys with big biceps and muscular bodies! You can see the eyes zooming into their bodies, like a hungry wolf aiming for a defenceless lamb!

It is also known that the [censored] would peep at others while using the urinals at the toilets! Quite a few people have experienced it and shared their views about this gay!

It is therefore not surprising that all this that other internet users are complaining about this [censored] Thomas Toh Tong Nam!

hi all
i dun want to interject any malice agenda thats ominous here.
but running a direct sales company is a pretty mean feat the least i can say
being the boss also means u have a darn wide scope of the business area of influence
on one hand, u have your minions and the other side is accountability to Granton
which is the proprietor flagship, based in Ontario, Canada
to explain the dynamics of direct sales simply put is doing business at its primitive
level, stripped down to the core.
which translates to : no deal no money
simple? yes & no.
question : how does one make a deal without merchandise?
ans: no way
q: so how's granton run its show
a: they provide merchandise and to protect their interest, they hold accountability
to the bearer of their franchise.
q: why do complains arise
a: its basic human traits, like a reflex gag, when u push them beyond pain threshold
they fight back
q: so is it a scam
a: scam or fraud is heavily based on paper trails..just like the recent City Harvest case
hence, to avert such inferences, remove paper documentations
hence, u are not required to sign any agreement forms whatsoever
q: so there is no vindication for those affected at all
a: here, i shall explain why the answer is ever elusive... for this topic has been around ever since mlm or granton came to our shores
there's an unspoken decree shared by all sales people
- its a numbers game..or law of averages..or 10 out of 100 success
- maintain attitude 24/7... never loose attitude
- dont get dissuade by negative... or rejections
- winners dun quit vis a vis
i came to these forum to look for old frens but find rancour avast.
alas, what i shared is gleaned from my tenure as campaign manager @ granton
years back.
i hope of shedding some light for your answers
but i can only wish you the best...in granton style...
Have a Nice Day!

hi all the victims out there in granton.
I have been working in granton marketing company@36C hongkong street for 2 weeks.
Ok, first and foremost, i went for the first interview, and i was shortlisted. After that you will be give an orientation by your respectively leaders. I was attached to a leader called PATWIN his contact no(8644 4600). seriously the whole thing is ###. Came the first day of my job, everyone was all fake and smiles. We had to do a warm up of preaching of the product (Domino's Pizza) 29.90 to one another and give pointers on things to improve. He did the stupid juice ritual thing which was pretty gay to hype everyone up for the day but it was terribly gay. Nobody liked his face anyway so that could explain his gay actions. The juice ritual thing that everyone was so into it which was something about . ''Lets have a super and fantastic juicy day'' JUICE SINGAPORE. if I remembered correctly. THIS IS TOTALLY ###.

At the end of the day, which was 630pm, the company actually gathered in the small room and preached to each other again to pick up points to counter customers' rejections and did some gay ritual. It ended at around late. And this cycle repeats over and over again, until you quits the job.

Ok, Basically I was fired by ICE due to some leaders being backstabbers.
Here are the few names.
Augustine or a.k.a Austyn, Andy, Patwin.
On the last day of the job, and actually wasn't my last day of the job, i was attached to this leader 'Austyn' Actually there were 3 people in our group. We were deployed to Ngee Ann poly to sell the cards.. so @ the end of the entire day we dropped 9, 7, 6. but the leader gave each of us 1 card. So, the total score is 7, 8, 7. And when we were back to the office, Patwin asked Austyn about me that how's my progress?.. Eventually, Austyn told Patwin that I dropped 2 by myself and the rest of the 5cards were dropped by my other team member.I was so fed up that he actually backstab me. In the end, Patwin use his fire-breath at me, which was why his mouth is damn stinks and scolded me for not being enthu enough.the next day, i voiced out that i'm leaving this ###ing company for goodness sake to Andy . And this leader went to complain to ICE LEONG. And I was sacked..

My advice to you guys who wants to work @ granton out there.
Normally, when you are called for an interview or what. The would mentioned about their company names.
But, you can actually see that they only mentioned about 36C HONGKONG STREET ONLY. they dont mentioned about the company's name because their reputation is being tarnished. And they will try to cover their company's name by saying that they are from optimo pte ltd.
Ok, if guys noticed this, inside the office, it is pretty run down and there's no GRANTON banner inside the ###ing office. They are so scared to put their ###ing company's name there.

I don't know about you guys, but I made quite a bit of money while I was working at Granton a little more than a year ago. I mean, if you don't do the sale and if you don't live up to the company's expectation, you don't reap the rewards, it happens all around in the real world. No company would let you off lightly if you go AWOL, no company would let a newbee into company's secrets.. (what if you are from a competitor?) You guys are ### about it is not Advertising, have you been to advertising? You are in for a shock.. because the product of advertising is ideas, and because "ideas" are such an easy thing to copy, that's why they are so secretive, Pearl and Dean don't tell the staff not in the project group of their next mega project right till the launch date! So my opinion is that it might not be your line of work if you are uncomfortable about about the arrangement.

Yours, An ex Granton staff
Cheers

Hi stumped09, my experience with Granton has been of both good and bad. And yes, I wouldn't mind sharing with you my experience. You can add me on MSN Messenger or Facebook at kenland_2924@hotmail.com and I'll share it all with you, reason being because it's just too many things I've gone through.

So I assume you just joined them last Friday or Saturday? I just left Granton last Thursday by the way... And I did went through what you went through when I went for the interview at Granton, but except that they did not photocopy my I.C.

So you say you were attached to a leader that seems 'nice' to you on your observation day? May I know which office you went to? The one at Pandan Loop (Pantech Building) or the one at Hong Kong Street?

And who is that 'nice' leader? Anyone of those mentioned below? Was it...
Steve? Mr O? Krishnan? Moses? Jensen? Jae? Winnie? Um? Daryl? Alvin?

By the way, which campaign are you promoting?
Sizzler? Beyond Beauty? or Blooie's Roadhouse?

Well, waiting towards your reply and sharing with you my experience with Granton:)

basically i've gone down for the interview and so far it has been whatever the forums said, mainly being 1st interview is swift and under 5 minutes, secondly they did call me to tell me i've been "shortlisted" and asked me to come down for the 2nd interview.

during the 2nd interview, it seems like there were people talking loudly in the office behind closed doors (probably shouting "juice" thing), then i was attached to a team leader and sent on my way to see how the thing works and yes door to door, which was not what i was looking for but stuck with it anyway since the leader seemed nice.

i returned to the office around 1pm and had 2nd interview with the office manager and told him that this is not what i wanted and i want a marketing position, one which i promote the company's services to clients, not a sales job. he said that he would want me to work in the sales position at least for 6 weeks then he will put me into the marketing team (i only went into the manager's office but never saw the whole office).

so here's the thing, i already said sure i'll see you tomorrow for work and i made it clear to him that i want a marketing position, not sales but don't mind to do the sales part in the first few weeks. my IC has been photocopied by the clerk and im supposed to turn up tomorrow.

i would like to hear your side of the story and please share with me your experience. what do you think of the deal they offered me?

All I can comment as a neutral is that I'm a customer who actually bought a card for $29.90 for a restaurant and found it to be true to it's promotion and found it to be a real value for money buy. That's all.
