I sent my GPS to them for a simple repair where the charging port had to be replaced, I didn't have the charger as it was stolen, and I couldn't tell them how it was broken. After having my unit for two weeks, they contacted me telling me they wanted to know how it was broken, when I couldn't they were rude and returned my unit still broken. I would never send them anything again and hope everyone reads all the complaints online concerning their service before choosing their company.

Please see her complaint on complaints.com to see our full response. We are confident that once you read the email correspondence, you will clearly see how we tried to work with this customer but she just was not willing to cooperate and was rather rude to us. It is our opinion that the USB port was damaged by not using the right charger. Refusing to send us the charger further substantiates our opinion. We could not guarantee our repair if the customer does not send us the charger so that we can verify its operating condition. Clearly the customer was evasive and not willing to cooperate. Customer also claims there are numerous complaints about us. Another exaggeration by her. Check for yourself on the Internet and then check here:
http://www.sharc.net/gps_repair_feedback.htm It is a real shame that there are people in this world that can not tell the truth and be honest. When this customer kept changing her story, refused to answer a couple simple questions to insure that the issues with her device were being properly addressed and instead attacks us in an email, it was impossible to help her. What she fails to mention is that she received her unit back, a FULL refund AND reimbursed for her shipping to us despite she signed a disclaimer saying she would be responsible for return shipping should we not be able to repair her unit. We asked her several times through email and with our invoice to include the charger. NO mention was ever implied that the charger was missing or stolen. She said she was using the charger that came with the unit (present tense). Only after we confronted her about her conflicting statements, she now claims it was stolen. In my many years of electronics experience, it is the GPS that is stolen and perhaps the charger as well but not just the charger. That is really hard to believe. Try telling the truth. The truth often is the best policy.

Customer is withholding a lot of information and was extremely rude to us. Please see this link where we explained the entire situation. http://www.complaints.com/2013-04-22/consumer-electronics/sharcnet-usa/brownstown-48183-us/gps-repair-refused/1001366642035133440.htm Customer had catastrophic damage to her GPS's USB port, We requested that she send the charger in as well with the GPS so that we can check out the entire charging system. She never indicated that she wasn't sending the charger or that it was "stolen". In fact, told us that she was using (present tense) the charger that came with the unit. Customer changed her story several times. When we asked the customer a question via email she was very arrogant and rude. Since a damaged charger could damage the repaired unit and since she wasn't willing to cooperate, we sent her unit back, gave her a FULL refund AND reimbursed her for what she paid in shipping the unit to us. She was out Nothing and we took a loss. Customer exaggerated the amount of time that we had her unit, changing her story 3 times. It is unfortunate that she didn't cooperate with us. She could have had her unit repaired and back quickly. Customer did NOT follow our instructions. Respectfully submitted - SHARCNET-USA
