Very poor 🤒
We don't know much about how GoToGate handles customer complaints outside ComplaintsBoard, but what we see here, on our website, is quite disappointing. We think there might be reasons for the company's actions (like not knowing about the complaints), and we would be happy to see them among customer-focused businesses that easily solve customer problems. But until that happens, we ask reviewers to be cautious when dealing with GoToGate and using their services, and to carefully read the experiences of other customers on ComplaintsBoard, because who is warned is armed, you know! 💪

GoToGate clarifications on the charges of seating arrangements

Good day.

Ive booked for five persons from cebu city philippines to shanghai pudong then to vancouver canada.

Flight details as folows:
Booking: JRBFYM
Order: KTO754
Order Date: Feb 9 2019
Departure date April 18, 2019

We were charge with seating arrangments. Upon calling to China Eastern Airlines, we got to know that the seat are standard seating arrangements available to all passenger free of charge.

In view of this, we would like request to please refund to us the amount being charge on the seating cost.

GoToGate airline booking, wrongly charging extra for baggage

This refers to the online ticket booking made through the website GoToGate. My Father-in-law was hospitalized and I had to rush to India the very next day.
The online booking system prompted to book luggage with two options-
1) no baggage
2) 12kg luggage including the carry on
As I had to travel with some luggage, I purchased the 12kg option (only option presented). Upon reaching the checkin counter, I came to know that the airlines offered a allowance of 25+7+3 kg of luggage included in their ticket fare and that there was no reason for extra payment

Booking Ref:RS734V, OONFCP The malindo airline has a free baggage allowance of 25kg plus 7kg carryon, however, , I have been wrongly charged $60 ($30 plus $30)towards 12 kg of luggage allowance each way. Please refund me the amount charged.

The company GoToGate has responded that they cannot repay.
This is a clear case of payment charged for no service.

GoToGate horrible service

There at first was an issue with payment from my end so 2 times payment was unsuccessful I contact Gotogate they advised contact my bank which I did so so far all was okay, they kept that record of the call after that all fun begins as we sorted bank and payment finally went true, but as it was pending at Gotogate agency they cancelled our tickets and done refund worst part that they have done refund in 2 parts and of course there are no longer tickets available for the same price as we got them in first place.
I spoke with Manager whose name was Justin T. as nothing more than that they were unable to tell

GoToGate unauthorized credit card charges

Date of incident : 13 january 2019
Description : I made two attempts to book a flight from kuwait to oman through the booking steps, gotogate informed me that the transaction couldn't happen, moreover I received un email :

Bonjour chiheb ben salem!

Dans l'impossibilité de valider votre règlement, nous n'avons pas pu traiter votre réservation. Aucun montant n'a été débité sur votre compte.

Perhaps I see my account debited twice for the two attempts :

GoToGate scam!!!

my name is lynda whincup. my flight reference is mmuhag. through the search engine skyscanner, on 26/12/18 I booked a number of flights. all 3 flights turned out to be not the dates I had selected. at first I though I must have made the error but then I saw the date change itself on the 3rd flight, so I knew it was not a mistake I did. i was able to contact 2 of the companies immediately. they cancelled the flights for the wrong days. but then I had booked a flight from brisbane to lima on-line through the company. i clicked on the date the 23/04/19, but when i printed the ticket I realised the dates i had book for were not the dates shown on my ticket. the ticket was for the 7/05/19. i attempted to call and then email the company numerous times within 5 minutes of making the booking. i finally received an email that they would get back to me by the 3/01/19. when they finally did get back to me i was told I had to re-book via the phone as it couldn't be done on line. when i phoned to re-book I was told that as i didn't contact the company within 24 hours, i would be charged an extra $480 to change flights to the correct day. i told them i they had emails sent form me within 24 hours, and the calls that i made were not answered! they said they would look into it.
i emailed every day at least once a day but kept getting told to ring to rebook and so the cycle continued. I then rang again on the 5/1/19. i thought as I had paid for my tour I need to re-book the flight for the correct day so I would have to suck up the extra 40% charge of $480, at least until I could claim a refund. the supervisor this day told me the previous supervisor was wrong to tell me the would help me if i proved the contact within that first 24 hours. he then told me to re-book my flight would be another $2627 and then $1249 handling fee, so a total of $3876! upset, i questioned this to be told the only flights now available on the correct day were in business class. i then checked the company flight search and found several in economy still available, one for $1304.12. his explanation for the cost difference was that I had to travel on the same airline. when i read out the flight numbers through qantas qf611 and latam airlines la 804 and la 636 proving they were with the same airlines, he said i wasn't listening. I asked for the number for the legal/complaints department to be told they don't have a phone number; i should email the same email as i had sent the previous 15 other emails! the call was terminated. i believe that my dates were somehow changed deliberately to dates that i did not choose and were incorrect in order for the company to get further money from me for charges. i believe this to be a scam and I intend to take this further. I have repeated asked to speak to or have contact with someone in australia about this scam but was told they do not operate in australia.

see attached - it shows the logs with dates I tried to call (fuzzy but can be seen to be the 26/12/18, ) the emails sent also on the same days and the undelivered messages I received. also attached is the search for flights and results using mytrip (time and date in the corner of the computer screen. clearly shows that there were flights other than business class available with qantas and latam.

not only do I want a full refund for the money I have already lost for the flights booked for the wrong days, I want compensation for the time, data and distress this has caused me. i also want the company to be accountable for their actions

GoToGate request to add a baggage and receive a receipt

I have just booked 2 tickets (go and return) from Tel Aviv to Nuremberg (through Istanbul) and I can't seem to add an extra baggage for my return trip. also I would like to receive the receipt for my payment (on the two tickets). I can't get to your contact us form at your website.

I refer to the cancellation of our flight booked through you.
Spice Jet confirmed on 28 December 2018 that a FULL REFUND had been issued by them to you as our agent. This has not been passed on, my emails are ignored and I have twice called your UK number. Each time the person I have spoken to has purported to put me through to someone who can deal with this and effect a refund. Each time the call has been dropped by you. The first person I spoke to was male but I did not get his name. The second was a female who gave her name as DEBO.
I was also told by the male that an email confirming the refund had been sent to our email address [protected]@btinternet.com; this was not true and no refund has yet been made by you.
I require the refund to be passed on forthwith.
You may contact me at the above email address. failing the refund being passed on in full, I require the address at which to serve court proceedings for damages against Go to Gate

GoToGate no confirmation of ticket booking

At the same time you were offering the same flight online (AirEuropa, Frankfurt -Oporto 10:50 hrs, 18th December) for 75.99 Euros.

GoToGate confirm air tickets void without any information, intimation, consent

Confirm air tickets were void by gotogate without any Information, consent from us, untill we received a message from bank about refund transaction from gotogate . On questioning, first excuse was Issue with bank account, when clarified with bank, their second excuse - it was a Security issue ! We have confirm tickets from air line site which meant they were issued and then void, refund from bank shows transaction was successful, Real security issue is with us about our Confirmed tickets Cancelled without our knowledge . And had to issue new tickets at Double the price after days of futile follow up and meaningless tensions ...yet ...

GoToGate money, I need refund

Hello I was trying to book tickets on the 4th of November 2018, and it did not work. Now I want to use my money but it's not on the card but I have no tickets purchased from GOTOGATE (i now bought tickets through a travel agent here from bolivia, already), so i would like to ask for the money to be refunded back unto my card. The card holders name is RICKY ROD PENNER. We were looking to book a flight one way to Toronto from santa Cruz bolivia.

GoToGate I did not receive my booking yet.

I got an email from noreply.[protected]@gotogate.com stating that Gotogate is currently processing my order, and once the payment has been confirmed, I will receive and email confirmation. This was over an hour ago, and I still did not receive an email confirmation of my booking.

The mobile number I used was +[protected] and the email address I used was jaishree.[protected]@gmail.com.

Awaiting your response on the status of my booking, as I've never had to wait this long for a confirmation.
In addition, I've been calling your 24/7 contact number, with no response yet (am still in the queue).

GoToGate check in facility for £7 - booking number mznnct

I have booked to fly from London to Warsaw on 8 Nov, returning on 10 Nov. I received the booking confirmation on 4th October with no information on how to check in.
I received an email on 2nd November stating that I could check in early if I paid £7. The exact wording on the email was "Let us take care of it for you and give you one less thing to think about. That way you can go straight past the queues and all the stress of the airport". This statement suggests that if £7 is not paid, I have to check in at the airport. So as the flight is in the early morning I paid £7 for an early check in today.

After paying £7 the confirmation screen stated that the boarding passes would be available up to 3 hours before departure at the latest. As I was going to leave home 4 hours before my flight, I called the customer service to see if the boarding passes could be available any earlier. I was then informed that I could just check in online 24 hours before the flight, and did not need to pay £7. However I was told this cost was not refundable.

I re-checked my documentation and there were no details about checking in. Therefore when I received the email on 2nd Nov about having to pay £7 to check in, I presumed this was my only option.

Please find attached the email on 2nd Nov and confirmation of the £7 fee for today's date (5th Nov)

This whole process was transparent and misleading, therefore I am asking for the £7 paid for check in to be refunded.

GoToGate fake flight purchase where they take your money and no flight info sent at all ever!

On November 1st, 2018 around 2 PM the website is gotogate.com and they sold me flight that does not exist and they refuse to coctact me and never sent me any email confirmation nothing or reservation number.
After I made the flight purchase, a confirmation window came and the took the money. they the travel agency windows closed and I got no email not flight confirmation nothing. I looked for the phone number of the company and there is none neither email. the contact page does not exist.

I request inmediate refund and compesation where applicable for this fraud.

GoToGate cancellation of flight

Flight fihour from athens, greece-london on 3 november 2018 was cancelled on 17 october by cobalt (the carrier) which ceased operations. The flight had been paid in full. My son was not informed until today. He has received no emails informing him of the demise of cobalt or what he should do. Contact phone numbers of gotogate in the uk and sweden are not responding; the site is inactive and does not provide any information re the flight or procedures for redress be it alternative flights, refund and/or compensation.

In this dearth of information, it is essential that clients should be able to contact someone in these companies to discuss matters.

He wishes to have a refund of the flight that was cancelled plus the difference between the cost of the replacement flight and the refunded flight or, alternatively, a refund of the cost of the replacement flight. He will need to know the procedures to be followed and, of course, contact numbers and addresses. He will, of course, be in a position to provide proof of purchase, payment, flight and emails.

However, in the meantime, in the dearth of appropriate information from gotogate, I request that the above information be provided as soon as possible.

GoToGate cargo de dinero no entendible

Soy Jaquelina Marchese les estoy pidiendo un reembolso que tuve que pagar en el aeropuerto de Paris Beauvais con numero de reserva N2BDKD hacia Barcelona el dia 2 de octubre por dos pasajeros, el mio propio y Jorge Calatayud por un total de 190 Euros por equipaje y checking en ventanilla.
Despues de varios intentos que hicimos para hacer el checking a travez de la pagina web de RYANAIR Y NO PODER HACERLO, llegamos al punto del checking en persona y nos cobraron 55 euros por cada uno mas 40 euros por cada maleta, el insidente se repitio con otros clientes tambien.
Intentamos contactar a la compania Ryanair en varias oportunidades pero tampoco tuvimos respuesta.
la atencion de la persona que estaba tomando los cheching y el equipaje de los clientes era totalmente nefasta y vulgar, de muy malos modos entonces para evitar que esto pase a mayores ya que la compania de aviacion RYANAIR no tiene la amabilidad de comunicarse con nosotros ni tampoco telefono de contacto recurrimos a ustedes porque ustedes fueron quienes nos emitieron el boleto.

GoToGate return money

Dear company, i have booked a ticket from your company but i didnt use it. I called to Airserbian to ask about my return ticket if i can use it and they say, i cannot . Airserbian told me that if i had booked my ticket from airserbian company they could return me the airport taxes back but unfortunatly i had booked it from GOTOGATE. I called Gotogate and the man on the phone told me that they dont give any money and i cannot use the return ticket back.

So what is all of these? YOU TAKE THE MONEY SO EASY AND YOU DONT ALLOW ME TO TRAVEL .?
