Gordon's Jeweler's / Bad service

I bought my wife some hoop earrings from Gordon's Jewelers online. She loved them, but the clasps were weak and after only two days of wear one fell out and was ran over in a parking lot.

Call me crazy, but I wouldn't think it would be a big deal for a jeweler, especially one the size of Gordon's, to sell a single earring...but then again maybe their manufacturing facility can only make even numbers. I was spurned by customer service, which in America these days is more like a value get the amount of service that the profit you bring the business supports.

    I am a future customer, and a current consumer. If you did not purchase an insurance policy with your earring purchase, why would they (Gordon's) replace a damaged earring. It sounds like to me you were being cheap and bought something that was on sale for a reason. If you had bought a pair of earrings from Wal-mart, and one was lost, do you really think that "they" would replace it? Come on dude, get real.
