Goodyear scruplous sales practices!!!

On 11/11/10 I drove to this Goodyear because I had found a coupon online for $12.98. It was a great deal, and I thought worthy of driving a bit out of my way for. When I drove up, the sign displayed $12.98. I said to the guy in the shop that I had a coupon for $12.98. He said for me to give it to the guy inside the store. After 5 minutes of waiting, no one came. The guy out in the shop noticed and yelled for the guy to help. He didn't, so the guy from the shop had me write my info on the clipboard and said he'd pull my car in to get the oil changed. After about 5 minutes or so, after my car was alreday being worked on, the guy who was supposed to be workin in the store, "John". Finally came into the store. When the guy from the shop finished, he told me my oil change was done and so I went to the front for "John" to ring me up. When he did, he told me it was $28.08. I said, "No, I have a coupon." He said, it's not the correct oil weight for my Nissan Xterra and that I had to present the coupon up front. Of which I responded with, "I did tell the guy who worked on my car that I had the coupon and since you weren't up front working" there was no way for me to present the coupon to you. He refused to give me the $12.98 price, even though the guy in the shop, new I had that coupon, worked on my car and never said ANYTHING about me needing a certain type of oil for my vehicle. The guy said "well I can empty out the oil we just put in if you want then?" As if I can drive my car without oil in it! This was misrepresentation and horrible customer service. I insisted on the $12.98 price, but John was not going to budge and was EXTREMELY rude. Here is the deal, there are coupons every day for lets say $14.95 at NTB that you can get off line. This $12.98 was an even better deal, or so I thought. John was rude, didn't care, and I can't prove it, but I think he took advantage of me because I am a woman. Either way, what he did is sleezy, shady and I want a refund of the difference. This place should be shut down! How can they run a business like this? I had NO money to begin wtih, which is why I went to them. I never would have agreed to this oil change had they been up front with me. As far as I am concerned, it is not my fault that John did not communicate with the guy in the shop regarding the coupon I had. Their lack of communication should not be put off on the customer. False advertising, lack of customer service, and shady practices. This is the WORST service I have ever had!

Same thing happened to me at a Birmingham AL location. I don't trust these people. I had a coupon that was supposed to save money -- they added on so much crap that what was supposed to be an inexpensive oil change ended up costing WAY more than it would have somewhere else. I don't trust that they did the 25-point (or whatever it is) inspection either. I will NEVER use Goodyear again, for anything. They have a horrible service ethic and do half-assed work. I've had what I thought were pretty positive experiences with them in the past, but they clearly don't want people's business. Avoid - avoid - avoid.

Goodyear tires do not last

I'm laughing at the coincidental complaints of these tires compared to what I just went thru. I bought the buy 3 get 1 free deal in May 2008. In August 2009 I began having problems, I regularly had the tires rotated. The first tire after only 20K cracked or split and I had to have it replaced/prorated! Three months later, one had a leak and was plugged while the second was replaced at 24K and prorated! Three months later I had a flat, again the tire appeared cracked but of course it was my fault for driving it to the service station so I could not vaidate it was a defective tire! No prorating for that one despite 2 down/2 to go at this point. That 3rd tire lasted 29K. Yesterday, March 30K later during a routine oil change it was noted that the 4th tire was complete ripping/tearing, the dealer could not believe it, luckily it was caught and did not cause me another flat/accident on the turnpike. I drove straight to Goodyear and said, this is the 4th tire in less than two years, March 2010, I will never buy another Goodyear. The manager offered to replace all the Goodyear tires with Dunlops which I skeptically agreed, better than Goodyears, right? When I returned to pick up my car, another technician at the desk (I spent 3 hours that a.m. and back to work, not an easy day) tells me that the manager may have to eat the cost of those tires because the tire they replaced was already plugged (true) and that it was probably my fault for driving on a low air tire that caused it to crack! Thanks so much! I will never go back to Goodyear again. ITS ALWAYS OUR FAULT!?

I believe that the Goodyear Assurance brand has defect in its design, particularly on the waffle blade system. The attached photo shows the condition of my Assurance tires just after a month of use. I already went back to the distributor and had them replaced. But, unfortunately, and after all those lengthy and tedious talks with the staff at the service center (the manager was not around!), again, after one month, same thing happened. I will never buy Goodyear tires again!

Goodyear unprofessional / rude

I went to best buys tire center on 11 / 25 / 09 to have tires rotated and balanced. I spoke to greg yedikian about servicing my car. Greg asked for the keys and he proceeded to check my car out. He told me my rear two tires were no good and he could not rotate them, but he would balance them. I told him it seemed as if i had not had those tires long enough to be worn out gregwent to computer and pulled up my history on my tires, he told me that i had 42000 miles on car when 2 tires were purchased in 2004, 2 more tires were purchased in 2006 with 76, 000 miles. Greg became very unprofessional, rude, obnoxious, hollering at me in front of other customers inside of his store. I was so embarressed i just walked out of his store and got into my car. He came out after i got into my car and said that i had upset him by saying that i had purchased tires a year ago that is not what i said. Regardless of what i said or what he thought i said did not warrant him to be so nasty to me. My name is robert lee 17721 lysander dr carson, ca. [protected] or [protected] (Cell)

Goodyear rip off

i have been member with AAA for last three year, recently i have inform regarding the promotion about " Car month Service Package"
so i contact the store Meyerland GoodYear
10532 s. Post Oak Rd
houston, tx 77025
[protected].
i got this store address through memeber service that this is a partcipating store. so i call the store they told me i can fax the copy of the coupon the store manager name john Camil( i am not sure about the last name because the manager hangup the phone on me) said he doesn't know anything about this. so i called member services again they fax me the coupon of the promotion since there is no coupon, i call them again they said we have to have a orignal copy i explain to the store manager that there is no coupon it is just a promotion runing. he said he doesn't know anything about this so he didn't want to honor the fax copy either. fine long story short the manager was really rude to me not only that wouldn't believe me to begin with after getting the fax promotion sheet he still denied the coupon. well my husband got the work done whatever he need. i want to make sure AAA understands that i love AAA services but if these are the type of people AAA likes to deal with i dont know about being a member . i personally love AAA my husband got the membership since 11- 2005 i like the service so much that i got my two auto insurance with AAA too, i was also thinking about doing rental property insurance. but at this point i am just not very happy about this process ! at this point i do want some sort of action taken against this complain!

Goodyear service ordered, not delivered

I paid for an oil change and tire rotation. Car was parked outside after 20 minutes and I questioned whether the tires were rotated and was told they were. I left and looked at lug nuts when I got home. They were still dusty with no marks. I then remembered my car has locking lug nuts and the device used to remove them was still in my second home. I called the store mgr and he had no response. I called Goodyear and got the runaround. Now a year later they are backing the store manager. Why would I lie? Now they've really irritated me and I want others to beware of the potential rip off. There are too many auto service centers out there that will rip you off if they can. This appears to be one of them.

Goodyear defective tire

I purchased a new car that came with Goodyear tires. After only 27, 000 miles a bubble formed on the side of the tire and it has to be replaced. Then, within two months and less than 2000 miles another bubble formed. When I went into the store they said it was my fault and I needed to pay for another tire. I called their customer service line and got the same BS.

This experience has solidified my resolve that I will NEVER purchase another GOODYEAR product again. It also helps explain why they are teetering on BANKRUPTCY. They don't stand behind their products and treat their customers like crap!

SHAME ON GOODYEAR and SHAME ON YOU if you buy a single thing from them.

Goodyear tyre

From,

G.RAJENDRA,
EDITOR”SHAKTHI”,
No.10,
INDUSTRIAL ESTATE,
MADIKERI-571201. PHONE: [protected]
OR [protected]

SIR,

So, for I believed in Tata, but now onwards I am loosing faith in tata.
I am a journalist from Kodagu district. I am the editor of a local district level daily by name “Shakthi” which is running since 53 years. I am also the correspondent for “Times so f India” from Kodagu district.
I started purchasing tata by getting Indica V-2 and then dicor and now I am owning Indica vista. It is not at all one year completed. I got the vehicle from concocorde motors, Bangalore.N0.KA 12 N-6312..
I will start with a bitter experience from the tyre company “Good year”.Once I got front tyre problem.Suddenly, the tyre started getting bubbles and bulging. I have to travel all along from Madikeri to Bangalore concorde motors. Although I have purchased the vehicle from your Hosur Show room, I am adjusted to get the service done at your Mysore road service centre.
The concorde people informed good year representative One Ashwin who claims to be an engineer came and certified that It is impact break and not a manufacture defect. Infact I could not meet him personally, because he did not arrived in the given appointement time fixed by concorde. He came very late. After seeing the report I had contacted him over phone. I think his conversation with me was like that he himself is the Good year company managing director. He did not had the patience to hear me that’You should reconsider, It is not the impact break, because I am myself driving, and also I am smooth driver.
Why the good year company engages such rude persons as engineers in the company? Why, the tata people go for “Good year only”?”
The experience was during 31-09-09. Again, today, that is [protected], my another front tyre got bubble. I cant run the vehicle. I had messaged to good year. They told that they will contact me within 24 hours as per procedure.
If this time also if they play mischievous thing I would positively fight through consumer forum. This is just for your kind information.
Sir, why tata is obligatory to the worst “Good year company?” can you answer this?. I request you to change my both the damaged tyres immediately.
Further I want to ask the tatas why it has low quality mud flapes for indica Vista. The screws fixed are seem to be olden day carpentary work. I had to get right the loosened screws for more than 20 times. Otherwise, the flap will obstruct the movement of the tyres with unwanted sound.
I have proof for contacting your service centre to get done the “Lorry type break sound in breaks” When I reach Madikeri after service from Bangalore, the same problem continues. The auto lock system is also not working properly. Once there will be sound loss, sometimes, the auto lock system does not work properly. Several times repaired but in vain.
Sir, another major problem is when I drive during rainy season especially during night, road is not at all visible. A whitish patches type covers the windscreen, completely blocking the visibility. Some relief could be achieved only when the heater is switched on and the air through inside windscreen is moved. But, even the A.C.is not responcding to clear the windows.
Once I have to stop going with my family during night and I had to stay back in a small place, due to non visibility problem. other vehicle drivers who tried to help me also said” Why tata is like this?” To avoid problem I had got removed the tint put inside which has not yielded any good result. I don’t know the cause of the problem. It may be the fault of the front wind glass or the wiper. I had put forth this during the service which was not at all being positively responded. The incharge persons orally said all the problems are solved, but practically, I have to face all the problems daily.
Please do something to help medium people like us. I have incurred diesel expenditure to drive to Bangalore several times only in anticipation of repairs, which has become a dream. Tatas should not limit the service by some trouble some receptionists ringing us asking for marks for the service. There is no use in simply filling the forms, collecting the marks. One responsible person should be appointed in the customer service to practically do the work. Because on that day when I complained to concorde manager about the rude talk by the Good year engineer, he could not even tackle that person on behalf of Tatas. Why they fear to favour customers. Why they support the worst behaved engineers? I still remember, Good year engineer Ashwin’s rude talk and I am not the profiled person to take such bad persons advice. Being the editor of a leading daily in Kodagu I am attending hundreds of customers daily in My office with polite nature. Please teach such persons a good lesson in future.

Respected Sir,
I am the owner of Tata Indica PB10CB 1036
.
The tyres are of Goodyear company.
In all the five tyres are not working condition and this is a manufacturing defect.
I go to the Goodyear showroom at ludhiana for tyre problem. but no response about this problem
There I met Mr. Amrik Singh in Dada Moters (Show room of Tata Moters) I told him the problem verbally and in written.
Mr. Amrik Singh didnt listen to me and his attitude is misbehaving.
He told that iam not solve your problem ( humne ek baar paise le liye bas hamara kaam khatam hum car bachete hai tyre theek nahi karte) this word of Mr. Amrik Singh from Dada Moters. He was very loud.

I am not satisfied with quality of Goodyear Tyre and your company services.

I need that immediately tyres of other company are provided.I am mentally and financially harrassed from last few months.

If immediatiately my problem is not sort out I will register compaint againt GOODYEAR not only in CONSUMER FORUM but also in COURT.
Kindly look into the matter.

Goodyear apr on closed account

I had an active Goodyear credit Card account that I chose to close in July of 2008. At that time, my APR was 22.36% on purchases and approximately 26 % on cash advances. My account was in good standing when I decided to close it. Recently, I received a bill and discovered that my interest rate had been raised to 24.9% on purchases and 29.9 % on cash advances. When I contacted Goodyear inquiring as to how they could raise the rates on a closed account, I was told that they had included a change of terms notice in a previous bill (January 2009) and that I had not responded within the required period to stop the change in terms. I explained that since I pay via the internet, I rarely look at the paper bill and even so, the account was closed prior to this time. I am currently seeking a way to remedy this situation, but have been unsuccessful in getting Goodyear to change the terms. I would tell anyone who is a current Goodyear Cardholder to cancel your card before this company screws you and anyone thinking about applying for this card, "don't do it". After this experience, I will never buy a Goodyear product again.

The Goodyear Credit Card is a scam. I took the card to get a discount on tire...I should have bought another brand at another store. When the bill came, I tried 2 times to payh in full. Both times it appeared they took the money from my checking account. They did not! i CALLED THEM AND SPOKE TO IDIOTS THAT I CANNOT UNDERSTAND AS THEIR ACCENTS ARE INCOMPREHENSIBLE. There is no customer service evenings or weekends. You cannot pay at any bank or any Goodyear near me. They told me to mail it now. I dont trust them. I think they want me to be latge and pay a 100 bucks in a late finance and service charge. It is a scam. I checked the account online tonite. Despite a printed receipt, but no confirming email, there is no record of a payment.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS CITIBANK SCAM that GOODYEAR CONDONES.

Go to the website below and post your question under "Ask Your Peers", click on more, then scroll down, and click on General Consumer Rights". I have used this forum for years and have recieved pretty good advice from some of them.

Go to http://www.lawyers.com/discuss-your-legal-issue.html

Make sure you let them know if you left a balance when you closed and if so, how much.

I hope this helps

Goodyear centers owner denies full responsiblity

My wife took her 2000 Mercury Villager Sport to have the front end aligned and have the thermostat changed and have the sensor and cooling fan checked. She was given an estimate of approximately 3 hours to be repaired. After about 2.5 hrs my called to see how things were going and thats when Sandy told her that there was a problem and the mechanic came on the phone line and told that he had an issue with the van. He proceeded to tell my wife he had broke the thermostat housing. They were taking the van to the Ford dealership for a third party opinon about why it had broken. The Mechanic at Ford told me that the only way it would break was if the outer housing had been out of alignment with the inner housing. I took Wade West to small claims court because he kept saying that he would only pay half of the repair bill because he felt that it wasn't all his fault that the part had broked. In court his mechanic lied to what Ford had told him which he only was at the dealership once and was told that the van had not been disassembled at that time. Wade only had to pay for half the bill due to the lies that was told during the court hearing I feel that if you take your vehicle to a service center for repair and it is damaged then it should be repaired at no cost to you .

Goodyear oil leak with 2001 toyota camry

I have taken my vehicle in for an oil leak behind the timing cover no less than 9 times and this store claims that they have repaired the leak at least (4) times and I still have a continous leak. I would like for the corporate office to investigate this store for this problem and find out a solution where and when I can have this leak repaired once and for all. I have been a customer of this store for a number of years and I feel that I am not receiving the service that I initially paid for when I had my timing belt serviced in October of 2007. The store owner and service manager continue to give me the run around and I feel that they are not repairing my vehicle as they have promised. I was a loyal customer and I want to report this location for the critical problem with my vehicle. Please communicate a solution. My name is Debra DePina and my contact number is [protected] and my email address is [protected]@aol.com. I will not stop here because I am very frustated that my vehicle is not being repaired properly at this location. I feel that this D.W. Campbell store is not representing Goodyear Corporation in an adequate way since I have encountered this problem. I have heard of numerous problems with other customers that have taken their vehicle to this store. Your investigation will be deeply appreciated and I now realize that this location should be reported to all consumer reporting agencies including the Better Business Bureau. Thank you for time.

Goodyear bad manager

A copy of the letter I sent to Goodyear...

To whom it may concern,

On Nov. 1st, 2008 at about 9:45 am I went to your Goodyear Auto Service Center # 8773 located at 10931 N. De Anza Cupertino, CA 95014. The purpose of this visit was to see about a getting a warranty replacement set of Fortera Silent Armour tires I had purchased at Just Tires. Since Just Tires was no longer in business I was told I needed to go to a Goodyear owned store. The tires have a 70, 000 mile warranty and had worn out after 37, 000 miles.

I had made one visit to this store on Thursday, October 30th only to be told I had to come back when the store manager was working in order to facilitate the warranty replacement.

When I returned Saturday morning I waited in line as the store manager, Israr Refai, was already assisting someone ahead of me. While I was waiting Mr. Refai answered a couple of phone calls including one that took about 6-8 minutes while he looked up pricing for the person on the phone. This went on while the lady he was supposed to be helping waited for him to return to assisting her. She was understandably upset at this treatment. There were several other staff members nearby but no one except the two guys working with customers at the counter answered any of the calls. That seems like poor management and was certainly poor customer service.

When I finally got my turn with Mr. Refai he took two more calls. Both were brief. He looked at my tires and agreed they were evenly and sufficiently worn to warrant a pro-rated replacement set. He told me they had to pick up the tires at a nearby warehouse so it would take 2 - 2-1/2 hours to do that and complete the tire mounting. I said I understood and that I would be in the waiting area.

At the two hour mark I walked out and I saw my truck had not been moved yet. I asked Mr. Refai why nothing had been done yet. He was very dismissive and said the tires had just got here and they would start soon. I do not believe he had sent anyone to pick them up yet since I saw the store truck leave about two minutes later. It had not been moved up to that point.

At the three hour mark they finally started working on my truck. About 15 minutes after they started the tech came to me and said the plastic decorative center caps were very tight. They were cracked already so I told him to go ahead and knock them out with a mallet even if they break and to discard them. He promptly did that.

At the four hour mark another tech came and told me that one of the new tires had a factory defect in the sidewall and that it was unusable. They would not be able to get a new tire until Monday or Tuesday. As this point I am very frustrated with the whole operation but I have no other options.

At the five hour mark I approached Mr. Refai and asked him why this is taking so long. I reminded him that he told me 2 - 2-1/2 hours to complete the work. He was very condescending to me and said it was because they had to go get the tires. I reminded him that he had said that was why it would take the 2 - 2-1/2 hours to complete the work in the first place. He got very agitated and said it was because of the center caps. I told him I saw that it took about two minutes to knock them out. Once again I asked what could possibly take 5 hours to do this work? He then said rudely, "I don't want to talk to you anymore" and walked away into the back office area. I was flabbergasted. He came out about 3 minutes later. I was still waiting for his answer. I asked again about what is taking so long. He once again said it was because they had to go get the tires. I once again reminded him they had the tires at the two hour mark and it still took three hours after that. He walked away again and said "I can't talk to you". At that point an sales manager named Rob Glick came over and said my truck was finally ready, more than 5 hours later.

The sales manager Rob actually at least said he was sorry it took so long and sorry that I would have to come back again for the last tire. The store manager, Israr Refai, never once apologized for the inconvenience or tried in any way to be helpful or courteous. He was, in fact, extremely rude and very unprofessional. It was bad enough to be so disappointed in your products performance (which I am now stuck with using due to the warranty) but the manager of that store, Mr. Refai, provided the worst customer service I have ever had. A simple "I am sorry this has taken so long" from Mr. Refai at some point during that five hours of waiting would have gone a long way.

Perhaps Goodyear should offer customer service training to Mr. Refai and all store managers. He serves as a poor reflection on the Goodyear name.

I went back tonight, November 3rd for the last tire. That took exactly 1 hour. All in all I had to wait 6 hours for a 2 - 2-1/2 job of mounting four tires. Had Mr. Refai been upfront about the real length of time I could've arranged for someone to pick me up.

Goodyear new but old tires

Was trying to buy four tires for my wife's vehicle, We called the store to ask if they had the tires, the answer was yes.

They moved her vehicle into the bay and remove the old tires of the rims.

The first set tires was 21 months old, the second set was over 2 years old. My first thought was go something else, they had no other tires. My second thought was old tires on my wife, s vehicle NO WAY. Therefore we asked to reapply our old tires and we would go else were to buy tires.

Is selling new but old (in life) tires protecting our good name.

We did buy new tires else where but not Goodyear

Goodyear awful experience

I went to the Goodyear in Moorestown, (the worse). My daughters car was towed in to find and fix the problem. They did convince me to get a goodyear credit car with a $850.00 limit. I was told that my car needed a tune up, which was okay. They called me when my tune up was done. When I went to pick up my car, I was pushed into the parking lot and still wouldn't start and I had a $800.00 bill. First I never heard of a $800.00 tune up. I refused to pay even by credit card and was told that they would take all their parts back off my car and put my old parts back on which were supposedly in the dumpster. So that was fine rather than pay $800.00 for a car that still would not start. Finally I had to get the car towed to another mechanic. I would never go or recommend them to anyone. Beware!

What the Mercedes dealers have failed to mention is that this is a common problem with there vehicles. The Mercedes suspension has so much play built in, a bar is used to take the slack out to align the vehicle. Your alignment should be check at least every six months I am sure that was not done or the problem would have been spotted prior to being a problem. Your Dealer should have offered to at least check the vehicle if not reminding you it had not been performed. I have seen so much over the years. People complaining about their tires making noise or shaking the car. Yet they do not follow manufacture guidelines of services. Tire rotation or shocks to be replaced every 50, 000 miles, Now I am not saying change them right at 50, 000 miles. But, when you have 1000, 000 miles or better on the vehicle and you have never changed them. Don't be surprised when your tires flat spot because the shock no longer is doing it's job in holding the tire to the ground etc. As far as the tires to be replaced it sounds like these tires have several thousand miles on them. Just guessing 35, 000 give or take. I am sure that if you contact Goodyear's customer service, they will replace both tires. Yes they are going to deduct usage, if it is covered. Never go to an outlet when you can deal with a direct manufacturer dealer. The customer service is usually better and they have direct product knowledge, and can inform you if there is recall or a common problem with the product. I really wish you luck with your Mercedes.

Mark: I am going through the same issue. I purchased tires for my Mercedes Benz at Major Tires here in Brooklyn NY. Eight months into the use of one of the tires, it went flat. Mercedes Bens Roadside Assistance came and informed me the tires were water logged. I went to the Manager at Major Tires and he swore that he would send the tire to the distributor. Each month I would get one excuse after another. Finally I had my family calling him too. After four months of lies, he now stated that he had to send the tire to the MFG. Two months passed and the same results. He claimed he didn't hear from them. After repeated calls each day thereafter, this prevaricating manager stated amazingly that he got a reply from the MFG. It was wear and tear. The tire looks brand new with no treads worn. I told him that I wanted to see the receipts of mailing that indeed he sent this out and the reports that both the distributor and MFG denied the claim. He said that he didn't have this. I asked him to get it and call me. He didn't. Of course I knew this. I am taking him to small claims court and he will lose. You must do the same to get your money back.

We purchase four (4) goodyear eagle gt 245/40zr17 r 91w in august 2008. On February 12, 2010 we were told by a service technician from Mercedes Benz that the inside of the tire (axle side) had defective rubber and the rubber separation could clearly be seen on the tire.

We took the tire to our local NTB where we made the purchase. The manager as well as several technicians agreed with the finding by Mercedes Benz that the tire was defective.

We are waiting to hear back from the manager of NTB regarding the replacement. However, we anticipate a battle since the manager mentioned the tire normal wear and tear. I know the wear and tear has nothing to do with the defect...go figure. In addition Mercedes Benz informed us that the front two tires should be replaced because the circumference will be more on the new tire by three inches.

Any recommendations on how else to proceed on getting both tires replaced.

Goodyear defective tire produce

I bought 4 of these tires at our local WalMart in May of 08 and took them back in June of 08 and was told it was just the tire. I now am told that they are out of round. Good Year will do nothing about them. Wal Mart of course wants me to let them pro rate them and sell me new tires. I have contacted WalMart headquarters and complained and as of yet gotten no satisfaction. These tires have been balanced and rotated as they should have been. and I have complained all times of the vibration. I will never buy tires from WalMart again let alone Good Year tires.

Wendy‎ to Walmart
November 18, 2013 ·
I bought a car with GOODYEAR TRACKER 2 tires on it, and one of them needed replacing. In the process of a lot of phone calls, I found out that these tires, made exclusively for Walmart, were recalled for the possibility of “Exploding from the inside”, and have killed people, who they say it isn’t the fault of the tire, although they quietly recalled them, and didn’t explain why to their associates in the tire centers. Apparently neither WALMART nor GOODYEAR really wants you to know this, as both are refusing to replace these if you have purchased them. I called Goodyear, who will only tell me this tire has been ‘replaced by the Wrangler Authority’, referring to Walmart, who doesn’t ‘know’ anything about this being a safety issue. I will just buy new tires, but if you run these, be aware this is a serious hazard!

Walmart Hi Wendy - We appreciate you sharing your concerns about our Goodyear Tires with us. You can let us know more at http://bit.ly/Y3ZqzK so that we can work to help you.

Roger - We too just had the same experience with less than 25% treadwear. 6 Nov 2015. These tires were purchased in April 2014 and are mounted on our Toyota Rav 4, a lightweight suv. We were told yesterday Walmart discontinued the tires almost the minute after we bought this set of 5. No one mentioned the safety hazards related to these tires at that time and we assumed it was a mere manufacturers defect. The repair we had completed was a simple nail in the tire tread repair that was completed easily. That is when the large splitting bulge was noticed on the side of the tire. We had to drive 60 miles to a Walmart that still carried the tires, which now, knowing this information, I find unexplainable. We live in the country and must traverse mountain roads and long trips to town and to visit family. A blowout at freeway speeds could prove deadly and is now a major worry for our safety. We maintain our vehicles and always use high quality replacement parts serviced by qualified repair shops. That being said this is of MAJOR concern to us. I do NOT feel safe riding on tires Walmart knows are defective! I will be contacting the link Walmart has provided above for remedy. Hopefully they will correct the situation and keep a long time customer. Or, I have my lawyers number on speed-dial. Let's hope for the first option. Thanks Wendy for alerting us to this danger and neglect by Walmart to notify it's customers, they have our addresses and phone numbers! addendum: the link is broken or no longer available. I will have to contact Walmart corporate offices directly.

I bought 4 Tracker 2 tires and was guaranteed 50k miles of tread. At 25, 000 miles the tread has already worn down and can't pass the "penny test". I went to Wal-Mart, which is where I purchased these tires, and they were just about to honor the warranty then decided last minute that due to my car having not been balanced/aligned, that the tread is wearing away is my fault and they cannot honor the warranty. Even though the tread was worn out evenly on all tires, they still declined to replace, give me a discount on any other tires or even fix repair the 2 small nails in the tire.
I will have to write a formal complaint and send in Goodyear's required complaint form with my receipt to see if they will honor their tire warranty. In the future, I will NEVER EVER purchase Goodyear tires again, unless they honor their warranty.

I purchased 4 Goodyear Tracker 2 tires from Walmart in June 2013 and took my vehicle to a different repair shop for a CV issue and was told one of the tires was "out of round" and the treads were separating. The repair shop said they couldn't guarantee I would make it to Walmart for them to replace the tires and there was a possibility of a blow out. I kept the tires, thinking that I should get some type of credit as they didn't even have 10, 000 miles on them yet. Boy, was I surprised when Walmart told me that they couldn't do anything because the tires were not on the rims and that since another shop touched the tires, they were not going to do anything. They believe I should have taken the chance of a blow out and a day off of work (they do not take cars or offer service after 5:45) to bring my vehicle there for them to look at the tires. Well, there goes over $400 and the road hazard coverage.
Too bad, so sad for me. When I said I wasn't going to shop there anymore, they said they were sorry I felt that way but there was nothing that they could do for me.

i have owned 2 sets of goodyear tracker 2 tires. the first set i had no problems with. the
second set were out of round. the boys at walmart tried to tell me my rim was out of round, one even told me it may be my shocks, and another told me my rearend differential was loose. basicly just a run around from a company not standing behing a product. i spent about $400.00 trying to eliminate a vibration and pulling problem. finally i got fed up and basicly threatened goodyear headquarters that i would go public with the situation. in the end headquarters put a different set of goodyear wrangler tires on for $200.00 . the vibration and pull are gone. don't let them lie to you.

We purchased a used F-250 5 months ago. All tires looked to be in good condition. This past weekend we were driving 70 mph on the interstate with rush hour traffic and pulling an empty 20' flat bed trailer, in the center lane when the front driver side tire blew out! We drifted into the left lane and thank God the driver in that lane was aware and moved over. My husband was driving and said it was very difficult for him to maintain control of the vehicle. If I had been driving, we would have flipped and caused major accidents! We got to the side of the road, but then still had to change the tire in heavy traffic conditions. Very scary and we thanked God for being with us or we would not be here today! Looking into purchasing all new tires today.

I bought 4 trackers from a local Goodyear dealer, and im scared that i made a bad purchase. I really dont want to go through another tire blowout on the interstate. Luckly i consider myself a good driver - have been through evoc law enforcement training for driving emergency vehicles.
The tire looks good. It is an aggressive all season tread. However all the defects im reading about i think im going back to trade up. I have had them on for five days i dont know what the dealer policy is, i guess i will find out tomorrow. !:((

FYI Goodyear Tracker 2's are a Walmart only brand and are not produced or supported by Goodyear itself. All of Walmarts tires are specially "designed" for Walmart and produced how they (Walmart) wants not Goodyear... I have Goodyear tires (Assurance Fuel Max) bought at Goodyear and have no problems with them.

I purchased a set of these for my pick up 11 months ago (9000 miles) and they have all but one blown out. I saved the last one to use as a spare and have replaced the others with some Dunlops. Walmart was not very helpful.I would say they are the worst tires I have ever bought and I truly think they were defective or else walmart is knowingly selling a tire they know is not safe.

about 1 year and 5 months i bought 4 tracker 2 tires from walmart. yesterday i found out that one of the tires was about to exploded from the inside. i took it to walmart and they said that they couldn't do nothing. that the only thing that they could do is do the adjustment's on the tires and get the new tires, but something wear that i cant not understand is that its not only one tire that is almost to the point that will explode its 3 of them for me its seems to be a tire defect. But walmart cant do nothing the only thing they can do is charge more money and get another pair of tires for almost the same amount that i paid when i purchased the 4 tires. plus we pay insurance for what, I would never Shop for Tires at walmart even-though you buy the insurance and its not worth it.
