This so called breeder ( golden day doodles ) is dishonest and does not supply any vet documentation. She also flips dogs, either buys them from breeders at a cheaper rate because they can't sell them or gets them from shelters. No dogs on site to be seen. I was hoping to see the puppies parents, but was not given a reason why they were not.

Kimberly Betten's web site is
http://www.goldendaydoodles.webs.com/

She also goes by Kim Betten

I'm a trusting person but I got only a unprofessional small contract that gave me a 3 day health guarantee which I should of read closer. It stated if I didn't get the dog in to the vet by August 1st, which was 3 days prior to me purchasing the dog, the health guarentee would be null and void. That screws me as I can't get her in by that date. Kim claimed it was based on her first shots which she didnt have or supply me with. She denied this 3 day warrantee on her pups, but...in reality my health guarentee expired in 3 days of purchase and I couldn't get her into a vet. She claims she would extend it, wow...still legally in this contract I would be screwed. How or why would she put that into the contract in the first place without giving me any health or shot recotprds or telling me in person I have 3 days. Kim is very  unprofessional, naive, shady, liar, thief, con person and a starving breeder that will go to any lengths to get a buck. I paid $1250.00 and for all I know I have a mutt since their no official paperwork from a vet or golden day doodles.

She came up with every excuse in the book and kept changing her stories. Live and learn I guess.

Here's a breeders review that has several others that she pulled the same thing.

http://www.thebreederratings.com/details.php?bid=320

I have a feeling that any good reports were made up by her and are fake.

Her website is all made up about her breed and the achievements of one of her dogs winning 200 agility courses. Also, being a Christian person, I'm offended on she smothers that into her website claiming she's of faith, a Christian and the "God Bless" non sense. (coming from such a person )

I'll update this and several other sites as this is only a small portion of what I'm putting up with. She's a very shady person as well. Matter of fact when I was there, she went down her stairs to answer the door in her bi level house and left the baby gate open and her baby that was almost a year old came within a couple of feet of an open gate and I ran over there and grabbed her baby right before she would of tumbled down the stairs. Being careless, reckless comes along with her being shady, a liar and a con person. She claimed that was my fault since my daughter showed up 10 minutes after me which she knew that she was meeting me at her home. Anyone knows if you are distracted by someone at your door or open your baby gate in any situation you always think safety and always secure your baby gate. I have that in her email, with that logic and lack of common sense, I should report her to child services.

Im a professional person and have bought at least 12 or so dogs throughout my life and always had a package or pamphlet full of information, contract, vet records, food currently on, health of dogs, parents of the puppy, , , etc...but I was hand 1 1/2 pages that were printed off of her printer with her phone number and email scribbled on top of the page.

There are many great breeders out there, if your smart you will avoid Kimberly Betten and so called Golden day doodles. Just read the views and use common sense ! I let myself be a victim by being too trusting of a person. It's not too late for you!

Have a blessed day all.

We got our dog, Rome, from Kim 4 years ago. 3 days after bringing him home we had to put him down as he had parvo. Symptoms for parvo (Puking and pooping blood) usually don’t present for several days so clearly the dog had picked it up at the breeder’s. It was an extremely traumatic experience for us.

Found goldendoodles on Hobby... got in contact with a girl named Lilly. She told us the pups were at her house in GR and that her parents lived in Hersey and she brought the puppies to Grand Rapids to sell. We went to her GR house and Lily introduced us to her "cousin" and the puppies. Long story short her so called cousin was actually her MOM - KIM BETTEN! (Look her up... do some FB stalking... thats how I found out that her so-called cousin was really her mom LOL)The only truth that came from their mouths was that the puppies really were from Hersey. A man with the last name Hostetler (His name was on the paperwork I received from Lilly so I called him and he told me he sold them 8 puppies from 2 different moms, same dad, and that he is not related to them at all. He was very upset about all their lies) Lily had texted me pictures of the mom and dad but come to find out that was a lie too... the REAL breeder said the parents I have a pictures of, are not his dogs. There is a positive to all this! We have an adorable golden doodle that we absolutely love... But we were grossly lied to! I am actually VERY thankful that my puppy did not live with them very long because they are psycho liars! Its funny too, because the cell phone number she did have, ironically is no longer working... she definitely does not want to be found out. But, this is what they do guys... if your OK with being lied to and having NO CLUE where your puppy came from, or what the actual parents look like, go ahead and work with them... they'll be really nice to your face but I promise they laugh their butts off when they get your money! If she would've been honest with me and told me that the breeder was from Hersey, Mi and she was just selling them for him - I would've had a few more questions but would've probably been ok with that. The BOLD FACE LIES... I am NOT OK with that. And I know I paid about double of what the really breeder sold the puppies to them for! SCAM ARTIST AND PUPPY FLIPPERS... Not trustworthy at all! I am adding pictures of my text message about the parents and also pictures of who she said were my puppies parents.

Kim Betten is a amazing Breeder, we got our Bentley from her 1 year ago and we just adore him! He’s everything we wanted and more, Kim had both parents on site and we were welcomed into her home! It’s a shame you guys have had a bad experience with her, my friend Brandy got not only one but 2 goldendoodles from her and her family adores them!

I am sorry that you all had negative experiences with Kim Betten. We purchased our petite golden doodle two years ago from her and I cannot imagine our family without this dog! He is an F2b. I was told the mom was a golden doodle and the dad is a toy poodle, which she owns and we saw while we were there. Our dog is the perfect 16 pound dog we wanted. We have 3 kids (12, 10, and 7) and he loves on all of them. He is calm, mild mannered and loves to cuddle. I’m not about the ins and outs of her breeding, but I know 3 other families that have gotten a dog from her and are also very happy.

This breeder sold me a Mini-Goldendoodle, and even required me to sign a contract indicating that my puppy was in fact, that breed. The puppy turned out to be 75% miniature poodle and 25% cocker spaniel...(we had a reputable dna test run through our vet). I am still trying to get $$ back and had to threaten legal action to get anything back. So far she has refunded me about 27% of what we paid. What a scam! Furthermore, this dog has the worst traits of any poodle! She growls at her family, is aggressive with other dogs, and has major anxiety which results in continually irritated hotspots from licking! She has had extensive training, special allergy-free diets, and still continues to be a major challenge to raise!

Hello, I was just reading through comments about Golden Day Doodles and saw your comment. I got a puppy from there exactly 2 years ago like you and was told he was born in July. My dog has bad anxiety if we leave the house. It’s very frustrating and we keep trying new things to try to help him. Besides that we love him. Did you ever get a dna test like someone else said they did?

I recently contacted this Kim Betten about purchasing a Golden Doodle puppy she had posted on her website for sale and she emailed back saying the puppy was already sold. She also said she had another younger litter if I was interested. I have emailed back several times with no response. And, the puppy she said was sold is still up on her Golden Day Doodles website. Fortunately I started looking for more information about this woman and her shady breeding practices and found several things about her that scared me off and also made me feel so sorry for the puppies that are in her care and for the ones she is probably breeding several times over for money! Sickening. I don't know how she can still be in business.

We purchased a "Mini Goldendoodle from Kimberly Betten"; this dog does not exhibit ANY Golden Retriever attributes at all (I've owned many Goldens and have bred them as well) in personality, appearance, behavior, etc. In fact, I'm convinced the pictures of the parents she showed us, were not her parents! I am going to get a DNA test run on my dog to confirm this. We were told she was the ONLY puppy in the litter (?), and also were told that the parents were not on sight, but were owned by a business partner at another location. I should have known better! This dog even growls at me!

She is now operating under the name Frozen River Pomskies. That makes me shudder.

We acquired a "rescue" from her in 2013 because I reached out to her looking for an adult rescue, not a puppy (she was recommended by friends who adopted from her). Our vet confirmed our dog was a breeding 3-4 year old male from a puppy mill -- that is why she does not allow you to see the parents! He was completely shaved yet had feces embedded in his skin, and urine-stained white fur. It took us several months to treat his ear mites, genital infections, and to improve the condition of his teeth. We worked through his fearfulness, potty trained, and neutered him, and we love him dearly. We contacted the authorities and they carried out an investigation, but unfortunately we picked our dog up at her sister's house in another county so they could not inspect her personal home/barn. Kimberly (Wilson) Betten also operates with her mother, Joan Wilson. Beware! Also, to those who previously adopted from her, your dogs are likely not pure Goldendoodles. We believe our dog is a poodle mix.

We had the same experience with Goldenday Doodles in 2012. When we purchased our miniature golden doodle we were not provided with any vet records. Turns out she had a highly resistant form of kennel cough and a digestive problem which we paid thousands to fix. We kept trying to get the name of the vet who immunized our dog but the breeder never provided the name and said our dog must be sick because of something we did. Our dog has made it through but has to be on home cooked meals because she is highly allergic to ingredients in regular dog food. We love our dog but it has been a rough time. I would never recommend Goldenday doodles.

Sadly this man had went on a rant and decides to post on every possible site he could to complain about us. He harassed us and defamed us posting false information . To set the record straight- We have used the same vet for over 10 years. Each puppy goes home with a health certificate from our vet with all our vets contact information and signature. Our puppies are up on shots and worming. We guarantee their health and send care instructions with them. We reviewed all our paperwork with this guy.. He signed it and left. What he did after he let with it is beyond me.. He did happen to buy a puppy I got back for a stud service so after he contacted me about not having his vet papers I had to contact the breeder I studded my male to to get new copies. This was given to him by his deadline.. However he felt the need to lie and say I'm a puppy mill, I buy dogs from shelter a to sell, I do not give documents etc. if you are worries about adopting a puppy from us due to this please come visit us and meet us in person and our puppies! Also our vets office will gladly give a reference for us also!

We bought our dog from Kim 13 years ago and he is amazing. Healthy, happy and the sweetest dog I could ever imagine. My parents bought their dog from Kim and had a similar experience. Great dog. Two other friends of mine also bought dogs from Kim. Outstanding dogs. I am sorry others have had poor experiences but I would not hesitate to buy a dog from Kim again.
