Golden Corral food

My mother is a big fan of Golden Corral so I took her to one for her birthday. We went to the one in Winder, Georgia. The food was awful. Their was a brunch special going on at the time. The pancakes tasted horrible. I had to spit them out. The sausages were cold and hard. The yeast rolls were not soft and warn at all. I was very disappointed with my visit and my mother was too. The only thing that I was able to eat was the white rice and the bourbon chicken. I paid for a buffet and was limited to two items.

Golden Corral bad food, roger [protected]

My wife and I love eating at Golden Corrals across America, we were so excited when we finally got a Golden Carroll in our near-by city of Maple Grove Minnesota, we usually eat their at least once a week.we were there on 28 of July at about 2:15 pm and they were at the end of the corn-meal breaded supposed to be cat fish but it does not taste like the one in Merriville Indiana nor the one in Detroit Michigan.We have gotten use to the fish they serve even though we are not sure it is catfish. The complaint is when they ran out of the meal-breaded fish at 2:15 pm they bought out some flour breaded fish that had to have been the nastiest fish I have ever tasted. I first talked to the manager that was over the kitchen. He told me that he had been bringing this type of fish out at this time of day for months, I know this is not true I and my wife dine there at least once a week. I also talked with store manager named Bill cannot remember last name. He said that fish was suppose to have been brought out at 4:00 pm. Most of the people in the restaurant were complaining about the fish.Usually the fish doesn't stay long before it is gone. That fish nasty hard fish was still there when my wife and I left.I cannot tell them what to serve but I do know they cannot serve food like this and proclaim to be a Golden Corral .There are a lot of people like myself who know what a real Golden Coral offers its customers if this continues I and my wife will find another restaurant to dine at.I really hope they get it together at Maple Grove in Minnesota .I do not want a refund. I just want them to GET IT RIGHT so We the people in Minnesota can have a great place to eat. Thank you for your attention to this matter.Roger [protected] email [protected]@embarqmail.com

Golden Corral management

All I can say is Pikeville KY. Golden Corral either needs shut down or needs to be under new management. Servers standing around doing nothing tables stacked with dishes customers having to go get their own refills and I was told by one of the server's not doing anything that they will only work if their needed why hire these people trying to make a living if your not going to let them work plus I heard managers treating them employees very badly it's a complete and total disgrace something needs to be done..

Golden Corral food

This is the second time now that I have visited the Golden Corral on East Main Street in Whitehall in Columbus Ohio the food's there are not that great last night upon going the chicken there was nothing but breasts I watch the customers Leaf through the chicken breasts looking for dark meat as myself look through dark meat the broccoli was dehydrated I watched and watched and waited for them to replace it and nothing was done about it the fish was cold and the breading was falling off of it.. the pinto beans were dehydrated and had no flavor the desserts were less than favorable the pudding was warm and the jello with Frozen. I only live 15 minutes from here and I love buffets but in all honesty if something isn't done about this place being dirty and the food being bad you're going to lose business and good customers sincerely Jodi

Golden Corral rude assistant manager

I went to the Huntsville Alabama location to have dinner. Having driven over 15 miles from Madison into Huntsville past several restaurants I was treated very rudely. I was inline to pay with no one behind me and an Assistant Manager came up to obtain paperwork from the cashier which began a conversation between the two of them. The cashier turn his back on me and at that point I loudly said "right here" whereupon the Assistant Manager scowled at me. I asked her what was she staring at with the reply "YOU". I said I was there to pay for a meal. I was incensed at callous disregard exhibited by both of them and demanded my money back. The cashier then sarcastically said, "Have a day".

I complained to the corporate office and received a call from the district manager. I asked him several questions along the line of is it the stated policy for ANY of this to happen. The District Manger knew exactly who that Assistant manager was. At the end He asked "if that was it?" I said well as an apology how about a free meal. His response was "is that what this is about", I said no and how about sending me a coupon or letter for a free meal. He took my address and I waited for two weeks without further response. I felt that the least that could have been done given I specifically waited driving past several restaurants I have been at before the very least that could have been done is a free meal for my inconvenience.

Since nothing happened I wrote a letter to the corporate office and that letter was sent three weeks ago...nothing has happened from them either. They apparently are more concerned about the dollar than a past customer. I usually vote with my dollar in situations like this and my dollars won't go into their coffers again!

Golden Corral dirty restaurant, poor food quality, limited food

On Sunday July 23, 2017 at 19:03 hr my family stopped at the Golden Corral store number 973, check number F-0441 total of $45.86. We have eaten at this location and many others and have always found the food tasty, service good and the food area clean and food replenished in a timely manner. But this time was not the case. We sat down and at least 30 minutes passed before a server finally made contact with us. In that time frame I had to move all our dirty plates to another table to keep out table clean. The food on the buffet bar was never was very limited as it was hardly refilled. The entire buffet line was full of food that had fallen off the spoons while people were taking portions and never cleaned. The Bourbon Street Chicken was inedible the chicken was dry and the sauce was like water . The chocolate fountain was out of chocolate and never replenished. The ice cream machine drip tray was full of ice cream and the floor was covered with ice cream which made it hard to use the machine. I told our server about the conditions and she agreed with us and said she has no idea what is going on and that the manager has not done anything to correct the problem. She asked if I would like to speak to the manager but after what she told me I said I would email corporate office with my concerns. There were a several food items that were good, shrimp, pot roast but over all this visit I would range a 2 out of 10. Golden Corral overall service was a disaster!!

As a Member of the Military, tonight's service was unsatisfactory! Took my family to the restaurant in Glen Allen, VA store number 749. As we seated, no waiter/waitress acknowledge us. We had to go up front just to get drink refills and the lady still didn't get drinks correctly even after telling what we had. The food was poorly cooked as well. Enough to where we got sick. This has all happened within the past hour. We will never visit this place again. $35.81 for crappy service and food.

They must've read my comment. Was back there a few weeks ago and food was back to first class. (someone working in a place like that is not called a "chef." I don't know what they're called but it's not "chef.")

UPDATE: Hometown Buffet, Palm Desert, CA, as of December 2017, has gone to the dogs. Horrible food. Baked chicken was dry as wood - 100% inedible. Other items have gone flavorless. If it wasn't for the senior price, the cleanliness, and the salad bar, I'd a gone ballistic. Jorge Mendez is supposedly now the manager (says so on the sign outside). He has to go.

Golden Corral discrimination

We have been going to th GC in Altamonte SP in FL for over 25 years. I have lost over 100 lbs and cannot eat a full adult meal so all restaurants allow me to order a lunch portion or a kid size meal. This store when told we wanted 1 adult and 1 kid rang us through then the mgr came to our table and I had ENT even had ANY food and told us we had to pay full price that only people with gastric bypass would have a small meal price! Just because I did not choose to have a gastric bypass and lost the weight over a two year span doesn't mean I can eat as much as a regular adult meal. My husband paid the now exorbitant price for his meal ( which costs the same as a great meal at Outback) and I would have had a small child amount. The Mgr was rude and abusive and when told we would not be eating and we wanted a refund he would only give a refund for the child amount we paid and not the adult amount. He said he could only refund 1 meal. Your company is now off our favored list and is now going to be shared and tweeted as being a rip off company who discriminates against people who can't eat a full adult meal. Everyone we know who are on the weight loss program we are on will know that Golden Corral is not the place to eat anymore and that your prices and policies are discriminating against people who have lost weight and can't or don't eat full adult meals.
Thousands of women and their families will be advised of your companies policy to discriminate and promote Fat Americans!
Americans are trying to slim down and your company is not helping!

Golden Corral meatloaf, string beans, barbecue, chicken fish

I've been eating at Golden Corral for at least 8yrs. Since the time I've been eating there I've noticed that the products I've mention are extremely salty. I once was a store manager for a different company and I know that salt is used as a preservative. But how long is the food out that it needs to be smothered in sodium. It is so much sodium that I go to Cracker Burral because their food isn't overly salted. If I go to another restaurant because of the sodium I know at least one out of 5 do the same adding those numbers across the board it won't be long before the company will go out of business in this internet driven society. I've never been wrong about store closings because I know what it takes to kill a business. There are only a few people who don't care what they put in their bodies and they don't support businesses consistently because they can't afford to because if bad health and doctors bills. So just think about backing off of the sodium so people can taste the food and not just the sugar and salt.

Golden Corral food, drink, temp

Coke was watered down. Asked for new one, told I couldn't get a replacememt. Finally did, new one tasted just as bad. Wasted money on it as I was wanting to take it to go. Terribly hot in restaurant. Didn't enjoy eating enough due to this. Food on tables looked old. Didn't eat what I'd like to because it was covered with an old film as though it sat for hrs. Disappointed!

Golden Corral my whole experience

Hi I was one of the many customers went into one of your local restaurants in irving on last Sunday and I did my enjoy my service my water was nasty my food was really cold and nasty the environment was really dirty I always have problems going to this one golden corral and just so often I had tbiygb I spent to much for what I wasn't given . the manager mentioned she could not return my money. After I asked a waitress for the manager several times. Til after a hour she came after I got her attention myself and said there was nothing she could not do . I didn't eat at all so please help me solve this problem but I already have it in my mind I want be going back here . not a good restaurant to keep open.

Golden Corral service, cleanliness, products

Arrived at noon for lunch with my husband. The salad bar was a total mess! Dressing was out & not refilled. There was salad items spilled over & around the salad bowls and on the floor. Everything was a mess. I went to speak to the manager who was sitting in the office. I noted to him the problem with the salad bar. Evidently it wasnt important enough even though he said he would take care of it. It was never cleaned up while I was thre. The cleanliness was an issue so i passed up having any of the salad items. The baked fish was out as a lot of the other lunch items. I got the last piece of a dried up chicken breast.
We left feeling very dissatisfied and ripped off for the high price we paid for a piece of dried up chicken and my husbands small bowl of brussel sprouts.

Golden Corral food

I was at the buffet when I was approached by a blonde female staff complaining to me because I stepped on a piece of food and after I shook it off I pushed it out of the way which happen to be under the buffet. I could not believe the way she reacted to it do to her rude behavior it caused me stress and when I ask for the manager and told him the problem he sided with her. Do to the poor service and bad staffing I will never go to Golden Corral or would I recommend it to anyone.

Golden Corral employee and food

My husband and I took my 4 children to the golden coral located in grove city Collin Columbus Ohio. The waitress we had left our plates build up on our table I had to actually stack and gather them up to be taken away after we simply ran out of room. She was rude when we asked for my 6 yr old for a refil then brought a big cup slamming it onto his fork spilling it didn't bother to apologize or clean it up I had to. She also put her tray on top of the side where spoons forks and knives are held and she then in a hurry knocked it off hitting my son who has autism on his head and back he thought she hit him purposely and I had to calm him... we were sitting directly behind the rack and again never apologized! or even picked it up I had to! Food was always gone we waited and everything seemed gone that we wanted to eat. Not to mention my son found a hair on his roll... 64$ spent for the worst food and rudest service it was appalled and I just don't know what else to say except maybe check your employees actually like where they work and are more friendly nice and accommodating to their customers who come and spend their money to enjoy a nice meal with their family this sadly WAS NOT our experience here..

Golden Corral the quality of food the buffet looked a mess a lot of food was missing very low quality had to wait for food to cook before coming back out

First yesterday was my wife's birthday she came home after a long day and wanted to go to the golden corral in Laurinburg NC first off it was very hot no air and was told it would be cooler on the side we sat on to the left the server over looked me and my wife to address customers just walking in that really hurt my wife feelings cause she was raising her hand for assistance but ignored once the server came over a older lady we were not given a card with her name or anything but the people at the next table did before they even sat down the food looked old and the meats looked dried up we spent money for nothing the watermelon was a hot and a step to be spoiled So we really didn't eat much was only there 30 mins and spoke to manager on duty and asked him to check out the buffet cause it was a mess and he said yeah ok like it did not mater so we walked out not to ever go back there

Golden Corral unprofessional

My husband and I decided to go out to lunch on July 5, 2017 from the start of our visit we were very happy with our service from walking in the door to smiling faces by staff in the front to sitting at our table were our server was wonderful! Upon going to the bar my husband noticed a women in a black management shirt(a white woman) arguing with someone that was in the area making pizzas who was dressed as the rest of the kitchen staff. (A black male) We didn't think much of it for could have been a staff that was not listening! Although I do not agree for I to am a manager at a restaurant and there are proper ways to handle these situations. We had finished and decided to leave when we walked outside we heard loud arguing and cursing when we drove by the back to see it was the same two people and the manager proceeding to throwing an object at him which looked to be a phone! Not sure about you but this seems to be a little more than a misbehaved employee! More like something we at our company frown upon fraternization! Not sure how you all would handle this but this would not be tolerated in professional businesses! Thank you a concerned customer!

Golden Corral prices on line verses at dining location

Dined at location #0784, 7/7/2017, 6:03 PM. Had checked on line for prices and web site showed Senior rate at $11.99. Receipt showed $12.99. I believe this may be on the false advertisement side. The difference between regular price and senior price is not really much of a savings, especially for us older folks who can't consume that much food. I like Golden Coral, but this will decrease my visits. Thank You

Golden Corral please establish a minimum dress code

1 july 17, I took my family to the centerville georgia golden corral for dinner. After getting our food and enjoying our meal, a guy walked by our table with his pants down below his [censor]! I call the waitress over and asked her to have the manager come talk to me. We spoke about the disrespectful situation and he assured me that he would talk to the guy about it. We watched as the guy left the establishment after confronting the store manager. The manager came to me and thanked me for bringing it to my attention. Can golden corral establish a simple dress code so others do not have to suffer from situations like this? We love golden corral but when my toddler looks up at me and asks my that guy has his pants down, well as a father I am angered that you allow this in your restaurants.

Golden Corral food

The first time I went up to get steak with my 4 kids I was denied steak for all my children. I was only aloud 2 SMALL pieces of steak. My husband went up a second time for a sliver of steak and they complained that he had already came up 3 times and that he has had enough. It happens every time we go to this place. It's super uncomfortable getting steak there. Even though I enough the steak... I now just take my money else where and buy steak.

Golden Corral cook staff/management

Farmington, New Mexico location . cook staff served all customers out of order at the meat station. Final customer there and the cook walks off, leaving md standing there. Several minutes go by. He had noticed me. Served customers around me. He ignored me. After waiting 10 minutes for a manager one shows up, scoffs at my claim and tries to say I'm lying. This is taking place at the registers no d you in front of all the new guests. In irritation I reply "I dont wknow what the [censor] his problem is then... But there is still a problem. Because I used profanity she refused to talk to me and walked off leaving me there still with my issue at the front. Eventually they send a greasy man with a dirty shirt and baseball cap on to try and help me. The entire ordeal lasted about 30 minutes. I had to fight for a refund and I'm still mad because my true issue was never addressed. I have even bought a plane ticket to Raleigh, NC from the 13th to the 17th in hopes of talking with someone about this horrible incident at my location.
