GoKartsUSA Go kart

I purchased a go kart from them. It arrived in a damaged crate. The crate had been impacted so hard that it bent the metal cage and forced the go kart back and broke the rear hold down. It bent part of the steering rack. After assembling the go kart (I am a retired mechanic) oil leaks from the bottom of the crankcase, and when you turn the fuel valve on fuel pours from the carb overflow hose and bowl vent. I contacted them and after promises to correct the issues, they simply stopped replying. I asked for contact information for whoever handles the warranty and was told to google it. I have a worthless piece of junk and they have nearly $2000 of my money. Avoid these thieves. Next step is the BBB and then on to court.

Desired outcome: Send the replacement parts and the starter kit as promised

UPDATE: I received an email from them saying that since I ask too many questions too often, they would no longer respond to me. I did get one last response after filing complaints though. A customer service person left a voicemail (which I still have) saying that since I was such an a$$hole they were not going to do anything about the issue, and suggested that I go f@@k myself. I can't wait to play it for a judge.

GoKartsUSA 219 roller chain

Be aware of this company - they have the worst service and communication. I brought a part "in stock" and it took weeks of follow up before it was even shipped, to then find out they had swapped it with a cheaper product that didnt even fit (as the original was out of stock). To top it all, they wanted a re-stocking fee to return it - even though it was THEIR issue. Customer service is terrible and won't even reply to most messages. My suggestion is stay away and buy from somewhere else.
My order was for a 219 chain on Nov 16th, didnt arrive until early Dec even though it was "in-stock".

GoKartsUSA Refusal to provide bill of sale and mso

Go karts USA I called to purchase 2 vehicles. I have tried to get a receipt or bill of sales and MSO s they say were sent within 10 days. They were not as post office has no record. I got bank statement in which it says Moto buys this is the same company and crooked to hide behind many names to scam the people. I clearly called and placed a phone order with go-karts USA not Moto buys but they are the same and now telling me they have no record of sale when I have my bank statement that says almost 2,000 dollars was spent there on two dirtbikes. I want a bill of sale and mso never supplied.

GoKartsUSA go kart

Ordered a go kart and asked them to hold off shipping for a week. In the mean time they sold it to someone else (which they admitted) and put it on backorder. I called the company to discuss. I was hung up on once, disconnected during transfer, and now they have blocked every number I try to contact them from. Now Christmas will be ruined for my kids since all their gifts are based off the go kart. They refuse to right their wrong. Go somewhere else.

GoKartsUSA refusal to refund money

As I live local, I went to their facility on 6/17/2019 to purchase a scooter. At time of purchase I was told by sales clerk, Zach, that the scooter should be ready for pickup on 6/20/2019 and that I should call to be sure it was available. Called on that day, then I was told it would be delayed. Called again on 6/26/2019 and once again I was told delivery was delayed as scooter was out of stock. At time of purchase I was never told scooter was out of stock or that it was a special order item nor was it annotated on my invoice as such. Went to store on 6/27/2019 to get a refund. Refund was supposed to be returned to my debit card. On 7/1/2019 I was texted a refund transaction that turned out to be no good as they never funded the return. Since then I have been given the run around on receiving my refund. Company sent me a text on 7/31/2019 stating that refund check was mailed. As of yet I have not received a refund.

GoKartsUSA they cheated me, do not give them business!!!

First off, they delivered the side by side utv without any parts to assemble it, not even the winch that was supposed to be included? Then it took exactly 6 months to deliver the parts I needed to assemble the same thing, so the warranty period was spent waiting for the parts! What a scam? I mean, who sells something like that without checking to see if the parts were with it? I also had it professionally assembled so I had to pay extra for storage because we were waiting so long for the parts? And right before the warranty was over I told them I needed a new gas gauge sensor and even with the warranty effective they wanted to charge me for it? So I lost my entire warranty due to their incompetence, and when I was finally sent the winch and I had to bolt it up, I realized that it was missing the adapter plate also... So they told me to bring it to them and they would install it... Knowing full well that they are in california and I am in vermont? What shmucks! So I guess I have to purchase the stupid $4.99 plate myself? What a friggen money pit! So I had to purchase a battery, storage fees, professional installation (Only because their driver refused to go on my road, even though logging semi's are up and down it every day?).. I mean these idiots are crooks! They should have started my warranty from when they finally delivered the parts? Now I am stuck with this piece of [censor] and the crazy part is I have yet to drive it so I am afraid that the thing is gonna crap out on me? Hell, it is full of gas but the thing is warning me about an empty tank? And it's supposed to be new? They are cheats, nuff said! Oh yea, alex is a pansey who won't stand up for the customer! He just passed blame to the manufacturer instead of fixing the problem! It should not take over 6 months to receive missing parts?

GoKartsUSA no refund

Do not expect to get a refund from these guys! They never gave me my money back! Ordered a minibike from gokartsusa and mine arrived damaged. When I sent it back in order to get a refund, they did some kind of investigation and said that they cannot refund me because bike was already used! What? I never used it and sent it back the same day I received it!
They said they'll send it back to me again. But here I am - no bike and no money. These guys scammed me for good.

GoKartsUSA scam alert!

I received a very damaged machine. And I must say that it is almost impossible to meet the requirements of their return policy. If you return something don't expect to get a refund. They will charge you a restocking fee and then they will tell you that product was already used and they cannot give you a refund. You will lose your money and never get what you paid for. So think twice, read the reviews and better shop elsewhere. They take orders, take money and then they ship broken products. Absolutely ridiculous company! I will never order from Gokartsusa again.

GoKartsUSA false advertisement, poor communication, dishonest people that blatantly lie to you

Bought a mini xrx and was looking at aftermarket parts and upgrade. What I found was the parts list didn’t match the features listed on the website. I sent a help request and was contacted by phone, I asked a very specific question “does it have a belt driven torque convertor”? YES they tell me, the listing is correct and the parts list is outdated. Go kart arrives, no torque convertor but a centrifugal clutch instead. Send help request again, this time they tell me it is a “chain driven torque convertor” but can buy the belt one. Google “chain driven torque convertor”, no such thing. I call, lady that answers can’t help so someone will call me back….. no one ever does and they keep closing the help request so I can’t reply. I email using a different name and ask for the exact brand, model and series of the torque convertor on the mini! This time they tell me (not knowing it is me) that it doesn’t have a torque convertor but a reduction gear instead. 3 different answers to the same question. I take all this to PayPal, they (gokartsusa) responds to PayPal that they will have the kart picked up, returned and give me a refund. For 3 weeks now they have refused to answer any and all communications from me or Paypal. Now return window is expired, never emailed return authorization or had kart picked up like they said. Simply put, you can’t trust them!

GoKartsUSA this is just a summary of our problem with the dune buggy we purchased

Buyer beware! This is just a summary of our problem with the dune buggy we purchased.

On march 22, 2012 we contacted the customer service department of gokartsusa. We were advised to give the dune buggy the break in period of 10-12 hours and then perform the oil change. The machine now has 12.6 hours on it and we continue to have the following problems as well as new ones.

The following is a list of existing problems we still have with the dune buggy.
• there is heavy metal frag in the motor.
• the belt is cheaply made. This will cause us and other customers to have to buy another belt within approximately three months.
• the motor is only emitting 9500 rpm. We purchased the performance cdi box for $144.00 to improve the top end performance, yet the top-end remains to stay at 9500 rpm or below. The only improvement noticed was a slight throttle improvement.
• the struts are loose.
• the rear spindles are loose.
• the spot welds are broke/separated for the roll-cage adapter.

The following is a list of new problems incurred during the break-in period.
• weak spark (Bluish-orange)
• diaphragm spring is possibly weak causing the diaphragm to be bloated, like the elasticity is no longer performing. The diaphragm is bigger than the diameter of the carburetor top.
• rpm after break-in has decreased to 7200 rpm’s at quarter throttle. At half throttle we have a loss of power, spitting fuel back out of the carburetor.
O we cleaned the carburetor and have the same results
O checked the airgap on the pickup coil, it’s at the proper specs
O cleaned and regapped the spark plug, have the same problem
• removed the exhaust to check the sootage for excess fuel and there is a lot of black soot in the exhaust.

To resolve these problems we are asking gokartsusa to have a technician contact us to troubleshoot the problems we are having. We are also asking gokartsusa to provide the rearview mirror assemble parts, a new fender for the dune buggy and a refund for the cdi box or a replacement one that will provide the performance as indicated on their website.

Do not buy from these people! Ordered a part from them on their website last November. Sent the wrong part, actually the wrong part was listed on the website for my kart. Got the part sent it back within 15 days with the correct return number. Never got refunded. Called and got a hold of the part department and said yes they had the part and would refund my money. Several months later called again, and then said oops we forgot to give you a refund. Called again and now we are 9 months out, they now tell me they will only refund about half the cost, but yet they had the wrong part listed on there site. And still do not have a refund. Going on a year. Do not buy from them. No customer service and refuse to refund your money for their mistake.

GoKartsUSA unprofessional, unknowledgeable, difficult to get a hold of

Horrible to deal with. Unprofessional, unknowledgeable, difficult to get a hold of, We had parts missing on our order, when we spoke with Steve about the missing parts, he said "go to a hardware store" When we asked about torque and tire pressure, one person said on thing and another person had a different answer, both wrong, as we found out later. My husband is a professional and has been building dirt bikes and riding motorcycles since he was a kid, and always takes the extra step to make sure what he is doing is according to specs. GoKartsusa should try to get their act together or get out of the business. This is a family project we are working on with and for our grandson, to teach him how to build something with his hands. This project is turning into a family nightmare.

GoKartsUSA they took over $7,500 from me and delivered no dune buggy

They took over $7, 500 from me and delivered no dune buggy. They don't return my messages and the multiple calls I have made from Australia have been answered only by a recorded message. If you are thinking the products here are cheap and it may be worth a go - DON'T - unless you keep a paper trail and are prepared to take their ### to court! These guys are crooks.

GoKartsUSA terrible customer service, inferior product, misleading advertising

If I could give them a zero star rating, I would. I am actually embarrassed to have done business with this company. I should have done my research, not just on different go karts, but on this company.

Product was supposed to come 90% assembled, with buyer needing to do "dealer prep, " tightening bolts, attaching battery, etc. The gokart came in pieces, literally the frame was not even assembled. Was supposed to come with "assemby manual" and "very good information." It came with no assembly manual and when we called "tech support, " they said no manual was available, that they couldn't help us, and that we should pay a qualified mechanic to put it together. Mind you, the person I had assembling it is an employee of mine who maintains all my farm equipement (tractors, riding lawnmower, etc.), so he's no novice when it comes to vehicles and machinery. Some of the holes were not lined up and had to be redrilled. Took close to 6 hours to get the go kart assembled. Customer service was rude and indifferent about all the issues we encountered.

Now on to the product, a Kinroad Bantam 110 dune buggy. Day 1: tire came off rim; Day 5: horn fell off; Day 7: both headlights fell off; Day 10: another tire went flat; passenger seatbelt broke. Is there a warranty? Not through GoKarts USA, of course, and since there's no product information, I have no information about a manufacturer warranty.

They claim you're getting 50% off retail, but I found a similar go kart locally, fully assembled, for only $200 more than I paid for this one.

My recommendation? DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY

GoKartsUSA do not buy

My brother who is deployed in afganistan bought a buggy from them to enjoy on his r&r. He did not check the bbb before buying, then the bs starts. Unless you are looking for"sales" good luck getting an answer (Doesnt work after 1st call-wont answer once they know your number. My main problem was the mso was wrong since they actually do business as atleast 3 different names. Next dayed my bad mso to one lady in the company that was the only one to help me, called next day to see if they had fixed mso and sent back - was told she was let go. Talked to the only person there was told he would look into it but could not call me back only email me and hung up, called back and he hung up again. That was my last contact 2 months ago. Finally talked to business next door and its not like the pictures show on the web site, it is one old man in 50s with his son drop shipping from a small office. This southern redneck has a new year trip planned to the sf area to visit this small old man and get satisfaction my way! Do not buy anything from go karts usa — you will be sorry!

Paid for scooter in store (6/17/2019) on invoice [protected]. Given the run around when asked when scooter would be delivered. Requested refund. Given false transaction of refund. Then given several misleading reasons why refund is taking so long. Store claimed they mailed refund check to me. Reported this matter to local police and DA.

I just recently got hired at the office and everything you said is true the company is run by an older man and his sun. and we do operate out of a small office in Benica CA. Unfortunately Christina was let go but I was brought in as her replacement and I am happy to help anyone. I know the customer service is lacking I am working with the guys to get better with that. We do regrettably miss a lot of phone calls when we are on the phone with a picky customer since there are only 2 people in the customer service office. I am trying to convince them to hire some more people, but that's a work in progress. Most of the time we don't actually ship the products we send the order to the manufacture and they will ship it out to you, and what we do ship will come from one of our many warehouses that are located all over the US so we never actually have hands on access to what happens with shipping, but when something does go wrong I personally will do everything I can to fix it and if there I nothing I can do I will get in contact with you and let you know and then you have the option to return the item for a full refund. Im sorry for the long reply I know that you had a bad experience with the company and its great that you wrote a review telling others how bad the customer service was but I am working on that and I want to thank you for your feed back now I know some more stuff we can improve on.

I have a story too long to explain, but I bought a kart for the kids at christmas. The wrong color came, they said " the fine print states that you are only making a request, we can't guarantee any colors. Then I had problems with parts, lousy response. I told them the tires were mounted backwards on the gokart when it came, response was "well just change them". Horrible customer service, they just yes mam or yes sir you, but are never helpful. Don't buy from this company unless you want heartburn!

I ordered a set of mini bike wheels two weeks ago and still not delivered yet, so I call and they tell me tires are on back order, and they would call me back or email me back with in the hour... 4 hours later I call back and start all over again, lol. I'm sick of waiting for my package to show up. It's been over the 10 day shipping period so I'm asking Paypal to return my money today before it's to late !

Absolutely Terrible Customer Service! I most definitely sure that the pitiful representative in Pleasant Hill California is a bottom feeder. How can you take $120 dollars from a family and not care that the size isn't right. I expected a gentleman to get on the phone and say "no problem miss, let's help you out and get the right size". This person needs a wake up call in his life. My husbands hard earned money where he bleeds and sweats to death was thrown away by his inconsideration and rudeness. OBVIOUSLY THE COMPANY BEHIND THIS MAN HAS THE SAME INCONSIDERATION FOR FAMILIES AND THEY ARE MINDLESS. DO NOT EVER ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS HORRID COMPANY!T A PRIME EXAMPLE OF EVERYTHING WRONG IN THIS WORLD. I HOPE THEIR COMPANY GOES OUT OF BUSINESS!

This is Nick from Gokarts USA. This customer placed an order for a UTV a few weeks ago. We told him we had several colors in stock but he wanted camo green. We told the customer camo green was coming in in the next shipment due in 2-3 weeks. The customer decided to wait for camo. One week into his order, he decided to call the police. Needless to say, we decided to cancel his order and give him a refund. I don't see how the customer feels he was ripped off. We sell many UTVs, and Buggies to happy customers, however happy customers do not get on the web. If you need some halp, just give us a call at [protected] pst ask for Nick.

Hi This is Alex from Gokarts USA. We tell customers that our products are Factory Direct at Wholesale prices. That means your item arrives in a crate and the customer will have some setup to do. The customer will typically have to install wheels, roll cage, lights, battery, bumpers and other misc. items. The engine and running is already in place. We recommend and the manufacturer's warranty requires the gokart be setup by a qualified mechanic. This is posted in our order terms, displayed and approved by the customer at checkout time, and printed on the customer invoice. Gokarting is not for everyone. It's a mechanically intensive sport. We tell customers all the time. If you need tech support, please call Gokarts USA at [protected] M-F 8am-5pm Pacific time, ask for Alex

Buyer beware. Don’t deal with this company, they will rip you off big time. I tried ordering a UTV from them only to wait over 2 months. They kept telling me they shipped it, which they never did. I ended up calling the local police to straighten it out (I told them they stole my money). Within a week they sent me a check. They were very pissed at me, which I enjoyed immensely. However they never sent the full amount. I should have known something was up when they wouldn't accept credit card transactions, only wiring money orders to them. Apparently the credit card company’s don’t trust them either. The BBB gives them an F.

I received my scooter from this company. Upon receiving it the scooter mechanic mentioned that some of the screws appeared to have been partially stripped. I know the mechanic didn't do it because I was watching him just do the visual inspection. The next thing that he noticed is that the rear mud guard had a hole in the middle of it. Mind you, the scooter was not ridden to the shop, it was hauled in a truck. The cover to where the VIN number was etched was damaged. One of the four retainers was already snapped; probably happened when they etched the VIN on the frame. I contacted GoKartsUSA and they asked me to send pictures. I sent the pictures and a few days later someone from BMS called me to send them the pictures. I was assured that I would get the parts. It's been 2 and a half months and still no parts. I called them to inquire and they said the parts were on their way, still nothing.
In the first 28 days and 60 miles on the scooter, the scooter would not start. I called GoKartsUSA to get technical support so that I would not have to pay a mechanic yet. The representative told me the following, "check the fuel...maybe there's no fuel; check the battery, that's probably the problem if you have fuel in it; maybe it's electrical or something". First, there was plenty of fuel. As for the battery, it was turning over, as I had repeated several times. Lastly, to state that it was probably "electrical" and provide any insight what that meant was worthless. I have worked on cars that I've owned (Toyota, Nissan, Chevy, BMW, MBZ, VW) but never a scooter. So, I have a very good understanding of mechanics. Scooter, I can't claim to be a proficient. In any case, the "advisors" at the company probably don't even understand how to do an oil change, let along provide "Technical Support". After all was said and done, I was told, that if I brought the scooter to a mechanic, the parts that I need can be sent to me for free given that I purchased a 6-month warranty. Upset and frustrated, I didn't have the time to fiddle because I had business trips lined up. So, I sent it to the scooter mechanic.
The mechanic immediately said, "I told you so...you would have been better off spending $4K on a "real" scooter rather than a cheap chinese scooter. These are notorious for issues and the sellers of these pieces of junk will not support you." I gave GoKartsUSA the benefit of the doubt. In the end, I was advised that the carburetor and fuel pump were faulty. I let GoKartsUSA know what the mechanic advised me on the scooter and they said they would get back to me. In the end, I was told that the carburetor and the fuel pump were not included in the warranty. I would have to pay $250 for the carburetor and another $70 for the fuel pump. WOW!
Since I had already had the scooter at the mechanic's shop for over a week and a half, he was going to charge me for storage. So, I went ahead and paid the mechanic for the carburetor and fuel pump that he installed to get the scooter running. I have asked GoKartsUSA to either reimburse me or send me parts. To date, they have done NOTHING. I even asked for a refund for the FRAUDULENT warranty and also nothing.
Warranty - FRAUDULENT sale of a product that covers what?
Technical Support - FRAUDULENT claim when the agents on the phones know nothing about mechanics, let alone anything about the products that they sell.
Scooter - Poorly built and poor QC in their assembly.
Cost to fix my Scooter: $500...replacement carburetor and fuel pump, towing fees, diagnostics
Lessons Learned: 1. You get what you paid for...better to spend more money on a more reliable scooter (Honda, Suzuki, Kymco, Vespa). 2. Not too many scooter shops work on chinese scooter due to liability; 3. GoKartsUSA is dishonest, unreliable and they make false claims about their technical support and their warranty; 4. The picture of a wearhouse on their site is not their wearhouse...the scooter came directly from BMS in the City of Industry via air cargo from LAX; 5. Don't trust a company who has a physical address where they tell you that you can't see or try a scooter at their office...they are merely a reseller and nothing more.

Yeah they are a total rip off. I ordered a madass 125 from them. I got the bike but sadly the mirrors weren't threaded and wouldn't attach to the bike. Naturally i called and told them what was up and they had me send them back to be replaced. Needless to say i called time and time again about what is going on and why haven't i gotten the new ones yet. Until the point that they start saying that they don't know what I'm talking about. I asked to talk to a manager and of course there isn't one there to speak with. I was told that this manager would call me the next day to clear the problem up and no such call has ever been attempted. They've fed me lies that they're on back order to they've been sent out and should be there in a week and now they claim they have no idea about my stigma. I've been trying to get this cleared up for close to 4 months. I'm telling you people, heed the warnings that are being typed. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE. I'd just hate for someone else to have what happened to me and countless others to you or your family's or friends. Its probably only a matter of time before they start credit card fraud. Well played go kart usa...well played.

We ordered a BMS 250 from Go Karts USA because they said they had it in stock, color we wanted and all. Even double checked. We wait 3 weeks and hear nothing. Finally call the company, the Buggy is in Customs. They didn't have it in stock at all. They lied to us. When you call them, they won't let you talk to a manager/supervisor and when you email them they will not respond with whoever is in charge of this joke of a businesses name. It's been a month and we still have no idea where our Buggy is...please do not do business with these idiots. When I find out who is in charge, and I will, I will post it so everyone will know who to call. Also, don't hesitate to make a formal complaint with the Better Business Buruea and the Internet Crime Complaint Center.

I ordered a scooter that they had listed on their web site. $888.00 dollars was drafted from my checking account, and I recieved an email stating that my product was on its way. One week later I noticed the money had been refunded so I checked my email and found an email stating that the item was out of stock. When I called to try and purchase something similar I was astounded at how I was treated. The man on the phone wouldnt even give me his name. He wanted 400 dollars more for practically the same thing. When I explained how I went without transportation and without my money to purchase something else for more than a week he began hanging up on me. When I called called back I didnt even get a hello. He answered the phone and said "We will not be doing business with you.". DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE! Judging by some of the other comments I've found on the internet its a wonder these a holes are still in business. What a disgrace to have the American flag on their web page.
