GoDaddy domain transfer

Today May 30 2018, I have reached GoDaddy customer service chat. I just wanted to finish a domain tranfer procedure that I haven't been able to finish since the
authorization code didn't work. At the beggining of the chat, GoDaddy customer service representative asked for a PIN, but During the two-step verification
security procedure to get that PIN I did not receive any text message with the code. Even though I proved that I was the owner of the account, they denied me
support.
if customer service through the web page can't help me, who can?
I just would like to get my domain back.

GoDaddy locked out of account!!

So I recently have needed to buy a domain for work. I did this through Godaddy because it sounded easy. Unfortunately, issues first arose merely two days in, when I was sent an email asking for me to send a copy of my passport. I am hesitant to send my passport details (let alone a scanned copy!) to anyone. I tried to send a response highlighting this issue, to no avail. My account then locked me out.

I have therefore attempted to register to 123reg, and transfer the domain. At this point I realised I needed access to an Auth Code, so I attempted to get that organised. I tried and tried again to log in to my account. Nothing. I then followed up with using my account number, and stated that I forgot my password. They apparently have sent an email to assist to the other account I have (the same account they have sent 7 emails to mind!)

However, somehow in this debauched nightmare that has been my forey into Godaddy, this email has not arrived. So now, I have no auth code, no domain, several very important emails (I think, as I have no way of knowing) stuck in the nowhereland, and now a thouroughly blocked account.

I request a full refund, information as to how the final email was unable to find the same way as the others, and that for future sufferers, an email service to complain to if needs be! How one can be expected to wait 1h30 on hold I have no idea!

Please oh please, call me or email as soon as possible!

GoDaddy unauthorised debit card charges

The Company debited by account of $87.92 on my debit card, after i have given them noticed of cancellation of their services. My payment to them for the passed 2 years was still valid till 07/06/2018 I can not see any reason why they should billed me knowing that i have discontinue their services for a website domain that has not been working and of which i personally asked them that every products to be cancelled.

I called the organisation on the 20/03/2018 and have asked that all products be cancelled and the website be deleted and all products have been duly cancelled except the domain name and protection registration because it was not due until the 7/6/2018 but they went ahead of time and billed me, i consider this as cheating and dubious. For that i am asking you to help intervene and get them refund me as quickly as possible.

GoDaddy ssl certificate error

My SSL certificate still does not work for 2 of my 4 websites specifically the problem is when I use it other browsers such as Microsoft Edge and iPhone Safari.

The home page on Microsoft Edge and iPhone Safari show a valid certificate but once I open a subcategory on the websites then I continue to receive an error as attached.

It appears that (on these 2 sites) the home page opens with https://name of website but once you change categories or open another page on the website (in Microsoft Edge & Safari) it reverts to https://www.name of website and shows an invalid SSL Certificate.

I do not have this problem with 2 of my websites.

I have attempted to add both websites with the https://www. and without the www. to the SSL certificate, but it reverts back to only one of these options i.e without www.

Please note that I have been in contact with GoDaddy about the SSL certificate error since the 2nd March 2018 and it is still not working. My 2 websites have therefore not been available for 9 weeks.

I have been on the phone for a total of 2 hours on the 15th of May alone, which has cost me substantially in phone usage.

I now have no option but to move my websites to another host and SSL certificate provider.

I will seek a full refund.

Dear Sir/Madam

We are very unhappy with the service you provided. We have been trying to install the SSL certificate for my domain dropsbank.com. It always failed. Even your support team can't resolve this issue. My call is usually ended by disconnecting the line which is quite unfair (but i think they are unable to resolve this issue because the issue is with the certificates itself and they can't resolve it) .

Finally I tried to re create a private key but then it was saying that the public key(crt) itself is invalid.

We have spent too much time on this. We nee to resolve this within a day otherwise we will go for other service providers and take necessary legal actions against it.

GoDaddy incident id: [protected]

GoDaddy blind-sided me. My settings, wherever they were, allowed them to auto-renew my commitment to them for another five years at almost $700 automatically charged to my credit card-why would they keep my credit card information on file (this is almost criminal). They should not have passively auto-renewed me without an affirmative and current permission. I haven't used built a website using godaddy in the last five years so what made them think it would be right to passively renew without contacting me personally? Then they had a lower-level flunky email me a reply to let give me the news that they "acted in good faith", which is a load of bologna. The email didn't even have a way to reply--just a phone number that I called to start the process, which in turn they answered by sending their email to me that leads me back to the same telephone number (this is an endless loop). Good faith is actively getting the client's permission--especially after five years of not hearing from him/her. I want a refund!

GoDaddy paypal

Horrible Company. Twice they took money from my Papal account lied to me said they did not while I was at my bank on the screen they manually tried taking more money out. Do not pay them by Pay Pal they took money out almost 3 years later just recently again so now three times as if I tried to renew my contract.
Bad company no integrity... This is like a school haunt. Never goes away. How can a company just take from a credit card when they have been given no permission. Again this company tried to take money from my Pay Pal account and thank God I stopped using Pay Pal because of them. I tried to write them and it came back. They are dishonest. Do not do business with this dishonest Company.

GoDaddy wordpress websites

Our websites were taken down without prior notice and even when restored within 15 days, we were charged 150$ for each website retore. We notified as soon as possible. Even customer support said there is 30 days grace period but this was later changed to 10 days.

No customer support for such issues and we were forced to pay the fees. Earlier Godaddy would call us for expiration of important websites and hosting. Now there is no customer challel or support forum to address it. The company has become very arrogant to even listen to our grievances.

GoDaddy virtual private server

I spent a lot of money signing up for a VPS with GoDaddy in September 2017, and for about 6 weeks it was ok. Then they forced a security update on the server and everything went wrong. The sites were crashing with 503 errors, timeouts etc. Everytime I contacted GoDaddy they rebooted the VPS and it was ok for an hour before going wrong again. In desperation I upgraded to more RAM and CPU but this did not help the problem. GoDaddy's response was "sorry it didn't work out for you" and they are refusing to refund me, even for the upgrade. I only wanted a refund for the remaining time plus the upgrade, but now they are just ignoring all of my communications. I have been on their phone and chat many times and they keep saying after 30 days there are no refunds, but they broke the VPS, not me. If it was working still I'd be happy, but with my customers complaining about broken websites I have had to take out a contract with another provider. I had GoDaddy turn off the VPS and this morning I received an email saying they are doing another security upgrade! Customer #: [protected]

My desired outcome is a full refund now as the server is not fit for purpose which has been proven by moving to a new host and having zero issues.

GoDaddy customer service

I called in on March 26, 2018 at 3:16pm, regarding my account [protected]. I have been having issues with the two-step authentication since changing my phone number about two weeks ago.

The issue is that once the two step code is sent to my phone and I type in the six digit code I repeatedly get an error. The code that I am typing in is correct. Checked and double checked.

I called in to speak to an agent about why this is happening and why I am receiving this error. The woman, who's name I do not know, didn't know what she was talking about and was having an attitude with me. After explaining the issue to her several times she still didn't understand what I was talking to her about and had no clue about what was going on. I asked to speak to someone else. She told me no. I explained to her that she didn't know what she was doing. So I asked again to speak to someone else. She said I'm the only one. Finally, I asked to speak to her supervisor. She put me on hold and told me he would be 5-10 minutes. I asked for a call back, she said that you don't offer call backs. So I waited on hold. Supervisor, Victor, gets on the phone at about 18:02 into the call to talk to me about the problem. Immediately, started having an attitude with me told me that I needed to open an incognito browser window or clear my cache. All things of which I have done in the past that haven't cleared up the issue. I told him that I wasn't going to do that and that the issue was somewhere else. There has to be some underlying issue that is going on. I asked him to look into it and he started arguing with me.

I should not have to go through all these extra steps to get into my account. I should be able to go to the website in a normal browser window type in my account number and password, receive the two step authentication via text, type that number in and be into my account. I shouldn't have to call every time or a great percentage of the time to access my account.

The point of this email is two fold.

First and foremost, there is a flaw somewhere with the two-step authentication process. Whether it be with my account or in your system I don't really know.

Second, both of the agents I spoke to on this call were terrible to deal with. Lack of knowledge regarding any of the issues that I was talking to them about, and they both had attitudes towards me, which I really don't appreciate to hear when dealing with customer service.

Resolution:

My account needs to be thoroughly examined and so does the two-step authentication system to get to the bottom of the issue. Also both agents need to be further trained and given mental health days, or any other reasonable solution is to improve their customer service.

Thanks,

Amber Crawford

GoDaddy office 365 - e-mail issue

Apparently Proofpoint Essential quarantines some of my e-mail.
The trouble is that we do not get the option until the following day to approve or disapprove e-mails and it causes some disruption with my business.
I called today spoke to a Kenny with the customer service department and was on the telephone for around 1 hour and 20 minutes to find out that I had no options on this issue.
I was passed to a supervisor by the name of Ted which was not any help and did not know anything.
When asking for a manager I was give the name Lanie with an e-mail address [protected]@goddady.com
The call was between 4:15 or so Central Time and ended up around 5:45
I do not understand why neither Kenny or Ted were not bale to give us a straight answer and why they would not let us know who their real supervisor was or is.
I would like a response from on this matter.
Our agency is a commercial client and we spend a good deal of money to set our account up with your company.
Please call Dominique Renaud at [protected] or e-mail me back at [protected]@hbia.net

Thank you

Dominique

GoDaddy constant emails to renew a product

I rang a chatted to a person called Taylor about a minor issue which was easily and well resolved.

Since then I have received three unsolicited emails ostensibly from GoDaddy, but the email name is Jason Ogena . It mentions Taylor in the body of each email.

As I am in compliance myself, I just wonder... (i) whether email is legitimate; (ii) why the name of Taylor is listed in the email, and Jason as the sender; (iii) is it GoDaddy's policy to employ people who run aliases; (iv) is it a way of extorting additional money from customers by individuals; and (v) it seems an unusual email address. I have other questions, but on the other hand it could be legitimate. I do not see why I need to renew with Taylor when it is set to auto renew.

GoDaddy customer service beyond deplorable

This morning i called and explained to the gentle that i just wanted to purchase the host and domain. From the second the gentleman opened his mouth, he treated me like a was a piece of trash. I explained to him i just paid, why are they going into my account and charge for one uear of service. The gentleman's response was oh you want to go the cheap route, he then stated well i can take payment over the phone since you cant figure put payment online. 5 minutes later i received a survey and needless to say i put zero all the way down. As reading in the previous complaints, all complaints aline to one another. There are many other website builders and i definitely will never call back to be insulted and treated like a worthless dog.

GoDaddy domain in transfer from 123 reg to godaddy

On the 6th of February 2018 we wanted to transfer a domain from 123 reg to go daddy, spoke to 123 reg they said all I had to do was give go daddy the auth code 123 reg gave me, I then called Go daddy was told it was simple once I Paid a fee for Go Daddy to host it the transfer of the domain to Go daddy would be with us within a few days, we paid 5 days later nothing had happened and the domain status with go daddy was saying pending. So i then called back Go daddy and they told me to allow 7 to 10 working days, this had expired in a few days so I called go daddy back and said were sorry im gonna have to get a new auth code from 123 reg as it had expired, so i did and handed it to go daddy only to be told 7 to 10 working days by go daddy was the amount of time id had to wait, i didn't have to lift a finger go daddy would sort it i was told, I called then 5 days later to see what status was, they told me it had all been sorted and if we logged into the account this Thursday it would all be sorted, Friday (today came and i called go daddy back because it was still saying pending online, only to be told they cant really find the issue, can we allow 5 more days and it will be sorted, wasn't happy so spoke to Jo the manager, they didn't really know what was going on, in the end weve decided to cancel the transfer and demand a refund because they have treated us with utter disrespect and keep palming us off all the time, Go daddy used to be OK i have nearly 100 domains with them, and all i wanted to do was transfer one domain in from another site i purchased a while a go, i feel discussed and will not recommend go daddy to anyone .

This morning I logged on to make a small edit as I had not added a contact name.
The layout of the site then completely changed.

Why has your software changed it?

GoDaddy url credit card charge on auto renewal

Go Daddy renewed one of my URL for two years under automatic renewal on February 13. I called them as soon as I saw the charge on March 2.

The person I talked to said that it was more than 5-days so there was nothing they would do about it. I would not get any of the $39.95 back. I said what about pro rating the charge and he said they do not do that. I asked to speak to the manager and was told it was policy and nothing could be done and that he would not let me speak to the manager.

I have 15 URLs with them but will be moving them elsewhere. They have gone up in price every year and they are no longer the company that they use to be as far as customer service.

GoDaddy linux hosting charges

I had been using the Linux Hosting charges for a registered website. The service was automatically renewed for two years. I did not want to renew it for two years, and had been bombarded by emails, and missed the notification to cancel. I tried calling back within the 30 days, but i had a long wait. When I returned from being out of town, I called to cancel the 2nd year, but was told that I had exceeded the 30 day limit. I asked to have the service reduced from 2 years to 1year, but they refused. I was willing to pay for the year in progress, but was going to shut the site down at the end of the year.

Their refusal made no sense, it would have been a transactional matter to remedy the situation but their policies are rigid. I don't like having to depend on email notifications, and certainly have never had a problem getting services adjusted with other companies.
