GoDaddy regarding website builder and customer service

Regarding website builder and customer service to make this very brief my company has been in business with Go Daddy for over five years I called one date update my payment information and the representative made a mistake and put a wrong digit of my card into my account. I proceeded to leave the country for three months only to come back and find out that my website that I had worked on for five years and spent over $3000 in web developer fees to build to get to the first page of Google is now deleted. They realize the error that they made and compensated me for one year of website builder which is about $200 nowhere near what I spent. I was then very frustrated finding out that now all of my Google ratings and placement we're gone I called back in and demanded another year and they refuse to do that. Then my website failed to be published from one of their web developers for over four months or four months of the free year I had gotten was gone. I called back and finally after third time was able to get it resolved and simply asked for a nine dollar credit to renew my domain for free and spoke with a supervisor who is very very rude and abrupt to me and just told me to stop talking don't talk to me like that etc. I am so very frustrated I am filing a complaint with the attorney General, Better Business Bureau. I have left reviews on yelp Facebook and every social media site possible I will not rest until I am compensated for this I am a very unhappy customer

GoDaddy website

I purchased a website yesterday and I can't access it to change any of it. I spent over a hour on phone trying to sort it out and in the end they said it should be ok in 2 hours. Logged on and I have got exactly the same problem. I want this sorting as soon as possible or I want my money back this is getting annoying now. We have a website and we can't use it like we should be able to do. You have 24 hrs to sort this out or I want my money back no questions.

GoDaddy complaint for refund - customer id - [protected]

D/ Concerned,

This is w.r.t. captioned subject, we would like to register a complain to get the refund the amount of Rs. 5940/- OR refund as the necessary amount post deduction of necessary usage starting from 20 Feb, 2016.

Last year we have taken your services for 5 years by paying Rs. 5940/-. since last so many months we are facing the problem on our website that is getting hacked by some or the other way.

we have tried to call your call center, for resolving this issue however they are unable to do so by providing diff diff reasons. in one of the conversation we had been asked to purchase SSL Certificate for resolving this issue on permanent bases. on good faith we had accepted this resolution & had purchased this necessary certificate by paying Rs. 2511/-.

However this solution didn't worked & we had been forced to your call center that hacking problem is still exist. at that time we were happy that we had been refunded the paid amount by cancelling the necessary certificate, however we were fed up of not getting the permanent solution of hacking.

On 8th February, 2017 we had been approached by Mr. Mohammed Safiuddin (His Mail ID - [protected]@godaddy.com) with one of the resolution stating that we are eagerly to help you for permanent solution, as per him he had suggested us to pay the charges of 1 year that Rs. 1300 approx, for discontinue of our services & we will refund your the complete amount of Rs. 5940/- in your bank account, which was paid for starting of Hosting services. On good faith they we have accepted the resolution.

On same conversation he has confirmed that he can not cancel the partial invoice otherwise refund amount will be credited into my Wallet. hence we have rejected the option of Partial invoice an as agreed to pay necessary amount of Rs. 1300 approx for necessary usage done since Feb 16. another point which he had confirmed the over the call that you need to withdraw the database before cancelling the hosting services. again on your good faith we have accepted the said option why withdrawing our all database date 9th Feb, 2017.

As instructed by Mr. Mohammed Safiuddin (His Email ID [protected]@godaddy.com) on 8th Feb we have fulfilled all necessary procedure / accepted necessary instruction that is we need to call back to pay Rs. 1300 post withdrawing our database.

To my surprise it was an hell experience when i had call Mr. Mohammed Safiuddin today morning to Pay Rs. 1300 approx (as F&F amount) for cancelling services. Now today He is confirming that he can not fulfill his promised / commitment, which he had done over the recorded line on 8th Feb, 2017 that is to cancel the hosting services completely by paying rs. 1300 Approx.

considering above facts i hereby request you all to check the conversation which had happened till today on your recorded lines and assist me in withdrawing the hosting services completely, as you are not able to resolve the problem of Hacking.

At last, would like to share another hell experience which got occurred today wherein i had been informed by another team member (Team lead Mr. Mohammaed) that there is no complain redressal department for registering the complain through the mail or letter in India.

Regards,
Rakesh Rajani

GoDaddy web hosting

The Webhosting Package Upgrade to the premium one was worst experience.

First, Godaddy guys does not even care to say that this upgrade would change your IP address and will may affect your email, websites which are not hosted on Godaddy plus Sub-domains.

Secondly, they send an email saying migration has started but with out any date or time of migration complete! It is us who have to call and ask Godaddy support, " when is this going to finish? when are we supposed to change IP?"
Plus, they don't care to mention that you will have to change IP address for all sub-domains on hosting panel? (which supposed to updated automatically, ideally !)

Third, There is no email stating that the migration has been complete please change your IP addresses. They don't even care that your websites work or no. We faced this issue and our 10-15 client websites were down. few are still down.

For subdomains, we had to do change manually IP addresses for all the sub-domains that we own, and this come across when we saw that one of the sub-domain site is down. We were in under the impression that these sites will be automatically upgraded based on Godaddy's migration email!

Godaddy support is worst and hilarious. It sucks!

GoDaddy all

I signed up to godaddy for domain www.duchessmediatraining.com email and other services were lumped in with this. I cancelled my domain and at the time through I was cancelling all products. However, this was not the case. I believe this was misleading and unethical. I have been charged for services I have not used and I would like this returned to me. It was explained that I had 30 days to cancel and get a refund. I had a failure to renew noticed and called up to cancel everything, not knowing the additional services had already been paid and renewed. So, when i cancelled the domain, I assumed I was cancelling all services and did not ask for a refund on all. I can now see that these were not cancelled. I assumed my services were as one from godaddy- not that I had to cancel everything separately. I find this deliberately misleading.

GoDaddy chat room support

Hello,

Re: client number [protected]

On January 16 I used godaddy chat and spoke with jayny ([protected]@godaddy.com) to enquire about my expired hosting package. I have wp starter hosting for my drpaulamoore.com site and it expired on Jan 10, 2017. I told the agent jayny that I wanted to migrate my drpaulamoore.com over to my cpanel hosting. She suggested it was easy and emailed me instructions. She also told me that if I couldn't do it, godaddy could migrate for me at a cost of $79.99 .

After a day trying on my own I returned to chat room with Jayny (Jan 17) and explained that my drpaulamoore.com website was down. She extended my wp hosting until Jan 20th and my site went live again. I requested that godaddy go ahead with the migration to cpanel. She now told me the cost was $99.99. When I told her this was unacceptable, she put me through to her manager Topher ([protected]@godaddy.com) who told me the price was fixed at $99.99. I was upset but finally topher agreed to extend my cpanel hosting by 3 months to make me happy. I agreed to this.

I purchased my migration from godaddy and on Jan 19 I used chat room again to make sure that my drpaulamoore.com site would not go down, while the migration was underway. Topher came back on the line and assured me all was ok and that godaddy would take up to 10 days to do the migration. He told me he had created a ticket the last time we spoke.

When I asked him if he could assure me that my site would not go down when the current wp starter hosting expired Jan 20th, he said it might go down. I asked him to extend the wp starter package (as agent Jayny had done) just until the migration was complete - so another 10 days, and he said he couldn't do that, and that jayny did not in fact extend my hosting. I even provided a screen shot to show Topher that the origninal expiration for my wp starter was January 10 and now it was Jan 20th and asked him how that happened, if an agent didn't do it for me. He said he didn't know.

We went back and forth a number of times and finally I asked topher for the number of the complaints department. He gave me a customer service number and then said 'bye' and hung up on me.

I am very very disappointed with the service and time I've spent on this.

Desired outcome - a refund of the additional month ($7.99) I paid for extension of my wp hosting and an additional 3 months of cpanel hosting as a gesture of goodwill. Both agents sent training on how to deal with hosting/migration issues in future and cc me in.

Many thanks,

Paula Moore

GoDaddy email hosting

On 9th January at 17:00GMT, whilst using Godaddy's email facility, it suddenly cut out for no reason. A message stated "this account is not available - please contact customer support". 24 minutes later, and after eating well into my phone balance, I reach someone. I explain the problem and she sounds happy, even laughing. Then I get told that it is a "free extra" to something I bought - despite this being part of the reason I purchased a domain and hosting package. When I asked for details on their complaints policy I got none. I asked to speak to a supervisor and she was rude and mocking, saying that "you'll have to wait" but not giving any indication of how long (by this time I had been on the phone for 35 minutes). I paid £121 for a "service" that it seems is "provided" by cowboys. Any company without a complaints procedure should not be in operation.

GoDaddy fake promises for sale and later refuse

Hi Friends I had purchased 5 sites for 5 years from Godaddy while purchase I was promised that in case of change if mind during the tenure, I can mark a mail to customer care or the lady whom I spoke to Pavna Paul ([protected]@) or call the call centre to refund my money they will they will reduce the past duration and refund the balance, today not too sure if that lady would still be there or not so I called up custoner care to swap my websites by canceling the previous purchase and adjust the balance amount against my new purchase, she kept me on hold for a while (must have gone for coffee) out rightly refused refund stating she referred to her seniors and as per them since this is March 2016 case they cannot refund, when I asked her to connect to her seniors she states in this shift there are no seniors, when I asked whom did she refer to by keeping me on hold, she went speechless and arrogantly says you mark a mail the lady who gave wrong information, later on has the guts to tell to call in the morning snd speak to billing section.

People who are reading this please be doubly sure to go through such unprofessional approach, if not the lets not make any further purchases from Godaddy.

Thx & Rgds

GoDaddy standard store design service

I spent over $1800 for a custom designed ecommerce website from goDaddy. After 2 months
worth of going back and forth to try and get them to create BASIC things for example: what text or pictures should be in the front page. Because of the poor quality of service and design, I requested a refund. They say I am not eligible for a refund.

This is their return policy:

Professional Web Design Services

Web Services: 30% cancelation fee when in progress, non-refundable once complete

This project was NOT completed. I did NOT sign off on it or give my verbal agreement. I even offered to pay the cancellation fee, but they wouldn’t accept my offer.

According to their contract, which I did NOT sign, this is the definition of "Complete"

Completion of Service. Publication of your Design is acknowledgement of your satisfaction with the Services provided to date and releases us from any obligation for further revisions or alterations at that time or until the next Update Minutes are initiated. You also acknowledge and agree that once your Design is published, you will not be entitled to any credits or refunds for any reason including, but not limited to, dissatisfaction with your Design.

They are claiming that when they posted the new website in a non searchable sub- domain for me to review for changes, that that is what they call "Publication of your Design" and once that occurred, I was not eligible for a refund.

I have the emails from our correspondence.

GoDaddy ssl certificate

I purchased an SSL certificate from you for my domain at http://hazelkey.com some time ago. Today I discovered that the SSL certificate had not been installed correctly.

My contact with the Matthew Wallace over this was long and painful - he informed me that although my certificate had never been installed correctly, if GD were to correct that for me it would cost me $100.

I understood from one of your sales team I spoke to earlier the same day, is that the certificate is installed for you - that installation is part of the benefit of buying an SSL certificate from GoDaddy, and that's what justified the inflated price? ? Is that correct?

GoDaddy Hosting removal

Date of incident : 13-dec-2016
Number : [protected]
Executive name : supriya
My godaddy hosting was automatically renewed on 13 - dec-2016 for 1 year.
I did not require 1 year of hosting space, I called the support team and explained that I need only 2 months of plan to be renewed and refund the remaining amount. During this process I have mentioned that I don't want any files to be removed from the hosting space. Eventually the executive said okay and renewed the hosting space, where she walked me through steps on renewing it.

Date of incident : 17-dec-2016
Number : [protected]
Executive name : vanitha

After renewing, when I started to work on 17-dec-2016. I can see that there was no files in the hosting space and its a new hosting plan.
When I called the support team and explained about this they are saying that I have removed all the files, their executives will never do that. To get the backup of the files I have pay 4999 inr. They are not even interested in helping their customer, reply I got is "i will add the 4999 inr backup product in your cart and you can purchase. There is nothing they can do about it"

This is not the first time I facing this problem I am facing it every time I renew.
They simply that I have to purchase for everything.

GoDaddy email migration

During a conversation with a representative from GoDaddy I agreed to pay for my emails to be migrated, over to Office 365. I spent a long time on the phone with the representative who explained that the data from 3 mailboxes would be transferred over. And then going forward I would have 1 email address and two aliases.

He told me the fee for this and I agreed and paid £90 for the migration.

Several weeks later, I find out that only 1 mailbox has been migrated. When I phoned up GoDaddy I am told that I have been miss informed, and that I need to pay another two lots of £90 totally £180.

I would never have agreed to pay £270 for this service, I would have rather done the migration myself!

I was told that even though I was mis informed by the GoDaddy representative there was nothing they were willing to do. This is the worst service I have ever received from GoDaddy and I've been their customer for years. I believe that if a company miss sells a product the customer should not be made to pay for the Company's mistake.

I asked for a refund, GoDaddy was unwilling to do this.

So I'm left with two mailboxes that still need to be migrated. Three weeks of my time wasted, plus I've wasted £90 as the job is only partly done.

GoDaddy discourse accounts related matters to others without two factor authentication and verification is needed from godaddy's side

Hello,
My name is Biju Thomas. I have purchased a GoDaddy server 4 years before. My Customer ID is [protected]. To the best of my knowledge I have cleared yearly renewal payments accurately without any dues. I am reselling your product to third party.
I hope you know that before discussing any accounts related matters to others two factor authentication and verification is needed from the Account holder side. But I came to knew that your marketing team has directly called one of our customers and disclosed the price directly to them without undergoing the authentication and verification process which brought a huge loss to me. Your concerned Marketing and Escalation team called me and apologized for the fault committed from your side. But that won't cover up my loss.
I request you to either renew my account by giving me 20% margin or else you have to find an amicable solution for this problem and intimate me as soon as possible.
Awaiting for your quick response.

GoDaddy auto renewal of domain names

Date: 2016.11.22
Client Number: 2383833 (Jo SanKu)
Full Description:
Godaddy have set the autorenewal option in default. So, they charged me for autorenewal for domains without my intention. So, I requested to cancel the auto renewal and get money back. They have renewed for domains that are autorenewed for one year. However, they didn't refund for domains that are autorenewed for two years saying that that is their policy and described in the term.
When I register domain, my only intention is to just register and didn't get the clear notice for auorenewal. Because I know the service, I turned on for importatn domains. However, I didn't set for domains that were autorenewed on November 22, 2016 as below.

So, I would like to get the whole refund for 8 domains that are automatically renewed and charged to my creditcard.

GoDaddy renewing urls

To begin, I am a 100% Disabled Vietnam Veteran on a heavy drug regimine. I used your site to renew my URLs. A short time later I became concerned my order had not gone through and reentered my purchase. With slight modification both orders were identical. You would think you would have provision to "delete" one of the purchases but your Supervisor said that couldn't be done.

Problem one: What concerns me is the Supervisor told me because my order reflected two years rather than the "One Year" I have continously purchased through the years, I had to pay the two years. When I said I may have to consider another company he said, "Well you can but when you cancel us your URLs could be picked up by others." I considered that an insult and a threat.

So, how is this going to be handled? Do you straighten this out "fairly" or do we allow it to get real messy. I understand company policy but I can't believe after years of paying you would take advantage of a so called provision that allows you to take advantage of me?

GoDaddy website cancelled official complaint against godaddy

my name is seema barua. My account number with Go Daddy is [protected]. I had a Birth Doula website with go daddy, website builder. It was due to expire around October 2016. I was in India on holiday at the time. I called around mid October to subscribe to a monthly package. As part of this official complaint I would like this phone call, which should have been recorded to be listened to. I clearly stated on the phone that I would like auto renewal monthly, I gave my card details and I was reassured that this was done. A few days ago I went to log into my account and add some content to my account and found that it had disappeared. I was really surprised, I then called Go daddy and was told that auto renewal was never on and that my sight is not up and I only have 30 days to restore it! . I understand that I have been sent emails regarding this however I have no reason at all what so ever to need to acknowledge these emails because I was told by Go Dadddy that I am on monthly auto renewal. when I called and asked how I can get my website back I was told I will need to pay a fee of £108 but that you can half that. Given that Go daddy had already told me on the phone that I was on autorenewal I do not understand why I would pay to get my site back. I am 7 months pregnant, a single mum, with a two year old, struggling to get my business up and running. Without my website I am unable to advertise myself and get clients. I work part time and am a part time stay at home mum because I cannot afford to put my daughter into childcare full time. I am emailing to ask that this be looked into urgently, that the fee for getting my website back up be completely removed. Honestly speaking I just do not have £50 to pay for my site to come back up. I have no clients as its Christmas time, no income and am financially very strained. I will not be able to come up with £50 to restore my website. I also need to advertise, please can somebody help me urgently?
Thank You
Seema

GoDaddy unethical behaviour

At the end of 2015 I was sold a product (search engine viability) which does not work with the online store (number [protected]). It was not until I contacted GoDaddy about the renewal that I was advised that it would not work with the online store. I was promised a call back on 2 occasions. No calls. On the 11th of December at 1615 I then called again spoke with adviser, the adviser put me through to a supervisor Chris Schreiner who talked over me when I explained the problem, supervisor was then dismissive & unhelpful. I asked to speak with someone who could something about the problems and I was told I could not speak to anyone else. He was the highest person I could speak to.
I have been sold a product that does not work, if I had not questioned the product I would have continued to have been billed for a product that is useless.
The offer made to me was to credit my account with the amount I had paid to my GoDaddy account. I should not have been sold the product so I said I wanted my money back. I was told that he would not be willing to do that.
Terrible service.

GoDaddy support

I12/08/2016 Customer #[protected]

I received a donation of a website from GoDaddy through TechSoup I didn't realize at the time that a website was all that I got and that everything else, like SEO and email, was an extra charge. The cost of email was more than I paid for website, SEO, email, and additional services through my old provider, thus negating any savings through the donated web hosting.
I purchased 3 email subscriptions because email is a necessity. Once the email was active, GoDaddy took over my Office 365 subscription and all of my online apps disappeared. When I called customer service I was told that there was nothing that could be done about it and that I could purchase the Office 365 through GoDaddy. I already have a subscription and do not want to pay for it twice. The rep interrupted me frequently and kept saying there was nothing he could do unless I purchased Office from them.
It now appears that the donated web hosting is nothing but a scam to get you to purchase (at full price) all of the services that at other hosting services are included.

GoDaddy unauthorized charges and selling hosting packages not required

I am writing this letter to address my horrible experience with godaddy. I had called on Nov 30th (5 days ago) to your online chat portal to address the following issue:
I was being charged for hosting of SkinVeda (my website: www.skinveda.com) since 2014 when I didn't need this service as shopify hosts for free for my website. On multiple accounts, I had informed the representative on the phone that I use shopify and what do i need to renew. He misled me into renewing the hosting. Just recently, I was informed by a friend who has a shopify account and had a bad experience with godaddy told me that I don't need it.. I confirmed with Shopify as well. I have the report of the chat with them as well that I have attached below. I once again received renewal for hosting in October which I renewed. And eventhough it is the godaddy staff fault, I am not being refunded due to the 30 day policy. I like you to look into this matter as I have been with you since 2011. But I will cancel out and report to the BBB should my complaint not be handled effectively. I would like to be refunded in full at $102.21 for three years ($306.63 total).

Please email me within 7 business days with a response before any further action is taken.
Shilpi
