gobeontv Taking Advantage of Children

Your child goes to the mall and is selected. Your child then goes to a screen test and is selected. You go to the production studio and they have you thinking you will be on Disney or something very close to it. They went on and on about how my daughter had all the potential to be a star and had what it takes to be an extra on Disney or one of their shows. Than they hit you up for over $1, 000.

The website has nothing about management and is poorly designed. Complete joke. What talent scout would ever go to this to find someone? Our represenative only had a cell phone and email that was not associated with the website. Met at an old production studio that they must have just rented out for a few hours.

I would stay away.

I am currently dealing with EJ who has opened a modeling agency called "Social Media 4 Models". I actually am questioning doing any type of business with him and his team because of this information which was provided. The problem is that he has notified me that if I do not attend this specific photo shoot I have signed up for that they will " file a judgment of 1500 to Ca small claims" stated by EJ. Which is also stated on the Supposably contract which I signed and agreed to pay a certain amount for that specific photoshoot with Peter Baratti. I was wondering if anyone could help me with this situation. I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you

They make you feel like your special, or your good, and they pretend to really want your kid, but what they really want is your money. There's one upside, you do go to an actual workshop with an actual "star" (it was adrain r'mante and chester see from disney when i was around) and u do learn alot, and get a chance to go to hollywood to learn more, but it still costs thousands of dollars and your most likely only going to get "learning". The hollywood thing might have been only through adrian though because it wasn't connected to beontv. If you don't have money to waste I DO NOT RECOMEND THIS. There are plenty of acting coaches who could tell you the same things but they won't have as much "experience in the field". It was fun, and it did feel pro, but it does not give you jobs and THEY ARE NOT AN AGENCY.

If you go to gonnabe.com, you'll see that the same poor design exists, though perhaps at a grander scale (including verbatim copies of site text). That's because gobeontv and gonnabe. com are the same company, and the same designer (Nicholas Fordham) maintains both.

gobeontv scam

This is a scam. Children are scouted and then audition, then called back for 2nd audition at which time parents are sold a membership to join gobeontv, and promised things to help build childs resume for work on tv and shows. Promised an audition to try out for a new show, which does not exist.

...but oddly enough MTS (which does not have a physical CA address or license) is staffed by a subset of Be/Gonnabe/My Artist Place and URGE Entertainment (another of EJ/EDS' companies). And moreover, MTS has boasted in several public forums that it has ready access to BE/etc. family files. It's just another shell in the game owned by EJ et. al

If you see EJ or Erik DeSando...RUN! But MTS (My Talent Service) is not one of his companies...just thought I would correct that. If you see GoBeOnTV or BeOnTV Run!

Gobeontv is the latest scam from Erik DeSando (aka EJ to our Texas friends). Erik runs CA businesses by the following names:

Be, LLC
My Artists Place
My Talent Services
Gonnabe.com
breakintohollywood.com
BeonTV

Check out the [redacted]s using these aliases. Better yet, read and join the Topix discussion board, and share your experiences:

http://www.topix.com/forum/san-diego/TQ0E9QP8EBK1N4U1Q

There is a lot of "chaff" to go through to get to the wheat, but you'll find some valuable information there.

There is also this parent's blog detailing his (and other parents') struggles to get a refund after Be suddenly quit its service providers, closed up its offices without prior notification, and left the Northern CA area to mailboxes and Skype accounts in Los Angeles that rarely provide answers. It's now going by "My Talent Service", but there is no physical address recorded nor that they will reveal to continuing members:

There is currently a class action suit against Be/Gonnabe/My Artists Place, and Erik/EJ has lost at least one civil court case brought against him by a scammed family(the document is available at this site):

http://beproductionsscam.blogspot.com/

TX/Southwest parents--it may not be too late for you to get refunds; I recommend you read the letter posted to the Topix Forum regarding your possible courses of action. And if you still doubt that this is the same operator, the gobeontv site is administered by the same person --Nicolas B. Fordham--who administers the gonnabe.com site. You'll see the same graphics and m.o. Other associates of EJ include Sean and Paige Casamiento, Domingo Ivan Casanas, Anthony Corder. There was also an acting/modeling/dancing/singing school associated with Be (as its sole service provider), Rising Stars, owned by Christina Ferra and Gene Gilmore; it abruptly closed, cancelled its license, and pulled its website without warning at the same time Be/Gonnabe pulled up stakes.

Best of luck.

We just went thru this with our son... Wasted a ton of time. Were smart enough not to give them our money.

But the whole thing was heartbreaking to watch our son get so excited about some b.s. con artists.

Sad that people play on children's dreams like this! Sick & greedy individuals
