GoRenter.com - GoRenter rental service

The GoRenter Scam: Once you sign up thinking you're only paying 7.5% of your gross income, you start getting inundated with invoicing. According to court documents, GoRenter admits to an average annual income of $4000.00 per property. Hummmm lets do the math, the average property in Phoenix rents for $1200.00 per month x 12 months = $14, 440.00 per year, that = 27.7% not 7.5%. How does Gorenter get $4000 per year from each property?: GoRenter nickels and dimes the tenants for every little charge, until the tenants can't wait to break their lease. When they do, there are eviction charges in addition to all the charges to clean up a property that has been trashed. GoRenter up-charges you, the property owner, on every invoice you receive, carpet cleaning, painting, legal work, etc. According to several ex-employees and vendors, the up charge can be as high as 40%. The vendors are told to create phony invoices to show the property owners, while GoRenter pays the vendor a lower amount. This is illegal and known as failure to disclose. Action Plan: All we need is a few more people that have been ripped off to lodge a group complaint with the Arizona Department Of Real Estate. Once the complaint is lodged, the ADRE will do a financial audit, and they will be out of business. Let's also hope the ADRE orders GoRenter to pay back all their ill-gotten gain to the thousands of owners who paid these amounts. This is not the first time this company has been investigated by the ADRE, but it will be their last.

I have experienced ALL of the above referenced issues while leasing from GORENTER. I feel bad for the home owner as well, as he would get billed for the same invoices we were even when they were paid. The are a horrible, unethical, money grubbing company. Absolute thieves and manipulators! No matter which end you're on renter or rentee DO NOT WORK WITH GORENTER! I'm on board with any class action lawsuit or court filing victims would like to file!

GoRenter.com - rental ripoff

After moving out, the company decided to replace the entire house full of carpet and paint at super high prices and do repairs that were not needed. charging us over $18, 000 for repairs...then collection fees of over $4000.they provided pictures of the house for proof but in the pictures there was no damage to the carpet or paint. the repairs were things that needed repair before we moved in. the owner lives out of the country and had no idea if the repairs were needed and therefore accepted them and they fooled him as well. they used a bait an switch tactic as well. They showed us the place on way, then after we signed a lease they added a gate to the pool, so we took it down and put it in the garage, now they are charging us for it to be put back up.now they are charging us $18, 000 and $4000 for collection fees...rip-off experts...

GoRenter.com - Policies

Go Renter has been managing our rental property for almost 2 years; we notified them in Aug of 2012 that we were going to put the home on the market and within 3 to 6 months it should sell. During this time period our tenants wrote us often and complained about Go Renter and asked repeatedly to change property management has their dealing with them were awful (to the point that if we were keeping the home they would not renew lease if we kept Go Renter).
In December we recieved a notice of yearly renewal - and on 01/07/2013 I notified Go Renter that we had a firm offer on the home and would cancelling contract to sell. I was charged the following fees: $295 annual fee (refused to prorate), $450 (cancellation fee), $225 (3 months management fee for cancellation), plus management fee for January and February (was told Feb. because my official cancellation did not go in until 01/08 there is a 30 day policy which would be 02/08 so I am required to pay Feb fees). I would not have issue with this if I was not changed 3 months management fee already.
This company is crooked and will screw you out of your money...do not use them go elsewhere. I have spoken with others that have property manangement companies and they agree this is outrageous and would not use and tell others the same. There are so many other options out there - say clear of this one they are awful to work with and will take your money.

Go Renter has an "F" rating from the BBB - why? because of their bad reviews and all the complaints. Very similar to what I have posted here.
We live in a free enterpise which means if we consumers stop giving businesses money they go out of business. This is one business that deserves to go out of business. We need to pass this around and get the word out so people stop using them then they will go away. What is interesting about complaints and bad reviews, it is not just tenants it is people like me that hired them - they will eventually screw you no matter what side of the contract you are on! Pass this along -
