I subscribed to GMPass.com in March, 2009. A splash page comes up offering a week's trial for the "premium" area of the site, which, if not canceled within seven days, would be billed monthly at USD $39.99. I cancelled the premium service within the first two days, and opted for USD $19.99 for one year of non-premium. I was correctly billed for the $19.99, but since March 23, 2009, I have been billed monthly USD $39.24, plus small "international" charges of about $1.00. I emailed my complaints, and got a response from [protected]@gmpass.com saying it was taken care of. Not so. I contacted them several more times, but any address I had used successfully in the process always came back "no such address" and "undeliverable". Which means they deliberately blocked me from sending them email. During this time, I was also trying to contact "Ma.Net.Services", apparently the collecting service used by gmpass.com Absolutely no response, and thus far--including the international charges plus the initial authorized $19.99/year--they have collected $263.43 as of today (when the sixth withdrawal was taken. I DO know that Ma.Net.Services has more than one "branch", and the one stealing from me is in Greece (Cypress to be exact). A name "Nicosia" was used once or twice, but I don't know if it is a person or place.
Surely I must have some recourse in tracking these people down. All I want is for them to stop billing me for what I don't want!
Any suggestions? If you "Google" Ma.Net.Services, you will see many stories like mine from others who have gotten ripped off.
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
J.R.

I incurred a charge of $39.95 on my credit card on 9-3-09. Upon investigation I discovered this charge is being made by GMPass.com. I have been to the site in the past, but was under the impression I had cancelled my membership. The phone number provided on my billing statement is not valid, and the contact number on the Terms Of Membership at GMPass is not reachable as well.
It looks as though they can bill us for 100 months if we can't find a way to contest the recurring charges. http://www.globalmalepass.com/terms.html

I have tried UNsucessfully to cancel this website for quite some time. The original charge from them I find is dated 7/31. I tried emialing them the cancelation(which is the only way to do it), and the process is ridiculous..After submitting the canceltion request, it begins asking questions about the email provider, etc. and it always comes back as "error". I know from other sites and billing companies that cancelation is a very simple process. So, I have tried calling. It rings twice, then there is a busy signal. This happens over and over. I kept thinking that I would try back...emailing and calling, but it is always the same. After a while with this, I had forgotten all about it until I was reviewing my banking statements..After I finally figured out where it was coming from, I tried to cancel again with no success. I am willing to pay the initial charge, but I demand to be refunded for the other 2 charges. The charges have been for $39.95. I expect to have my account refunded $79.90. I have already contacted my bank(PNC) and have disputed the charges. If the account is credited, I will not pursue it. This is a total scam! An expensive one! The last 4 digits of my banking card number are 8514. I had my card stopped and changed. This has also been a real inconvience. Please see that something is done.
Thank You,

I was finally able to get to the bottom of this issue:

GMPass (ma net) operates out of Panama.

No one will answer their "support" line: [protected]

However I DID find this number:

[protected]. His name is Mike, and he was very nice. He directed me to someone named Leo, who can also be contacted here: [protected] (These are California phone numbers).

They were actually nice to me, and agreed to refund my charges, and insure me that the cancelation is completed. I will be checking my account hourly to make sure that there is a credit on my account for the three months that were billed.

Good luck - and I will keep posted as to whether this actually resolves anything. If this does not work i will take legal action.
