I have bought a lot of Gloria Vanderbuilt Amada jeans over the last 10+ years and I love them but the last 6 or 7 pairs I have bought I have had problems with. The fabric on the inside thigh balls up and eventually ends up with holes in them. The fabric balls up the first time I wear them and gets worse the more I wear them. I really like the pants and they wear really good except for them getting holes in the inside thighs.I just bought a pair of Gloria Vanderbuilt glitter jeans and I have wore them a couple of times and I have no problem with them. I don't really like the bling on the back pockets but I do like the pants.

Bought G.V. Amanda jeans at Kohl's this past week, and they seem fine - no odor, no rips, no bunching fabric. I've always noticed though that G.V. jeans run larger than other brands, so I usually wear a 6 petite in G.V. and 8 petite in other brands.

I have bought Amanda jeans in the past that were size 8. They were the perfect fit and could not beat the comfort and I still have them, very well worn. I bought new Amanda jeans and when I received them the 8's were too small. Had to send them back for size 10. Received the 10's and I must be honest the jeans fit, but the comfort is not the same. The fabric is stiff and I have washed them numerous times and they do not soften up. When I wear them they feel like they are sliding down and I keep pulling them up. I'm very disappointed with these Amanda jeans. I will no longer buy them. You know the old saying "if its not broke, don't fix it. They should have left well enough alone.

I can't believe how your tagging size has changed in the last few years! I used to get a size 10, the last ones I had to send back size 12) because they were too small, and it cost me quite a bit of money, because of the Covid-19. I had to order a size 14, and they fit perfect. I thought this is strange, and so I had some of my size 10 jeans, and compared them with the size 14 I just got. Guess what, they are identically the same size, just the label of size was different!
This really makes a women feel bad!

I have always loved purchasing gloria vanderbilt jeans due to the comfort fit and the women sizes but the last couple pair I purchased the material seems like it was dry rotted and split in the seams right in the crotch area I am very disappointed as a customer I only had these 3 pair for less than a six month period, please let me know what can be done about this.Thanking you in advance and look forward to hearing from you soon.

Have you quit making the Avery Plus size jeans? I Love these jeans they are so comfortable, but you cannot find them anywhere except in
odd colors and select sizes? Please tell me you haven't discontinued a great product !

I have the same problem with chemical odor. I bought 2 pair online from Kohl's. I've shopped for the Amanda jeans instore and did not notice a smell, but as soon as I opened the delivered package, I noticed a very strong smell. This if the first time that I have purchased Amanda Flora jeans, and the material is different than other Amanda jeans. I've washed them many times and have also tried white vinegar, to no effect. I am beginning to wonder what chemicals are involved and whether they are safe to wear. Something is definitely not right.

after viewing last comments - wondering who reads this - who resolves these issues? are they resolved?

I have loved the Amanda 2.0 but unable to find them.. I bought Amanda ( no number) the black fit perfectly and wash well -I was so happy I bought a denim pair - same size - after one wash - they were too tight but wearable - but very noticeably TOO SHORT - they shrunk! what do i do now ?

I thought this was a place to get resolution. Apparently it is just to complain. I have not had any agreements, disagreements, or hints on how to fix this problem. I definitely will not buy these jeans again.

I am having trouble with the last two pair of my Gloria Vanderbilt jeans smelling. It seems to be a chemical odor. I have washed them eight times at least. Tried fabric softener in the rinse cycle, white vinegar in the wash, line drying, but I can still smell them. No complaint about the fit. Is there anything else I can try to be rid of this smell?

I have purchased 3 pairs of Gloria Vanderbilt Amanda Jeans in size 8 from Kohl's in the last 6 months and each pair is totally different with respect to size. Although I normally wear a size 6, the first pair I bought was black and fit perfectly. That's what prompted me to purchase another pair. I wanted a pair of the yellow jeans for spring but could not find them in any of my local Kohl's, so when a good sale came around, I purchased the tan ones instead. The tan pair is tighter than my size 6 Liz Claiborne jeans and certainly tighter than the size 8 Amanda jeans, but looked and felt OK. Still, I wanted a yellow pair (now for summer). So when I obtained some "Kohl's cash", I was determined to buy the yellow ones. These were difficult to find. They were unavailable at any "nearby local” (and Kohl’s defines “nearby local” differently than I do) stores or via the internet, and despite the fact that they were not in my local store, Kohl's would neither ship them to my home nor ship them from store to store. So I ended up having to drive to a store 45 minutes away. My husband and I left immediately after I got home from work. By the time we arrived at the store, my husband was out of patience and hungry for dinner. I got in line at the Customer Service (my local Kohl's store had phoned and the pants were to be waiting for me at the Customer Service desk) and by the time I got to the front of the line and talked the Customer Representative into finding the pants for me, I merely checked the style, the color and the size, and paid for my purchase.

When I put them on at home for the first time, I was shocked to see how long they were. Even in heels they were too long. I checked the tags and the inside label but they said 8 or 8 average. I put them side by side with my other Amanda jeans. These were a good 3-4 inches longer than the others. FYI: These were made in Sri Lanka. (I did not determine where the others were made)

What gives? Don't you have any Quality Control? Or a tape measure?

Now I am left with three unenviable options:
1) taking the jeans back to my local store and having no yellow jeans after all this effort
2) taking the jeans back to a store 45 minutes away in hopes of an exchange (a risky proposition considering my last experience)
3) buying yellow thread and hemming the jeans myself

I don’t think I ought to have to go to this much trouble for a NEW pair of jeans that should have been the correct size to begin with!

Please respond to this complaint as I want to know what Gloria Vanderbilt will do to resolve my dilemma.

Yesterday, I had a demoralizing experience when I went to Kohl’s Department Store to buy some new jeans. I was wearing a pair of size 6 Gloria Vanderbilt and wanted to get more of the same. I especially like Gloria Vanderbilt jeans because they have a full zipper instead of the mid-rise zippers that almost all other jeans have these days. Gloria’s jeans fit me really well, are comfortable and are a high quality. They hold up great in the wash and don’t shrink.

I took a few pairs into the fitting room – thank goodness. The size 6’s were way too small. So were the 8’s. The 10’s fit exactly like the 8’s. After many trips back and forth to the fitting room, I was finally able to fit comfortably in a size 12! May I remind you that I walked into the store comfortably wearing a size 6! I could have thought that my size 6 jeans were mismarked when I purchased them several months ago, except that I had bought the same size from other manufacturers and they all fit me just fine.

What are the manufacturers of Gloria Vanderbilt jeans trying to do? If I didn’t know the size of the jeans I was currently wearing, I would have thought that somehow I had gotten incredibly FAT over the past few months. We’re talking three sizes up from my actual size! Even though I realized the size 12’s were grossly mislabeled, it still irked the hell out of me and psychologically made me feel unattractive.

Today’s media is constantly barraging women with images of super thin models. There is no end to fitness and diet commercials. I previously thought Gloria Vanderbilt brand was all about making women feel comfortable and attractive in their own skin, no matter what size they were. Was I wrong?

I am a plus size woman with curves. I use to love buying Vanderbilt jeans but for the last 4 to 6 years the waist is higher than the back, they do not sit well when you do find a good pair. Gloria Vanderbilt please get some proper measurements from full figure ladies most of us have a waist. Also your jeans should never make your backside look flat. I wear a size 18 to a 22. Yes I can try on 7 pairs of 18's and get a different fit from each just like the upper sizes. Its a shame really, I guess you really don't care as long as you receive your cut of the money. So today was my last day looking at your clothing line. I will never buy another pair or even your shirts etc. I rather go to Walmart and do my shopping.. they do fit better in waist and never show my bottom from being cut to short in the back.I will be bringin all my clothing back to Kohns for a refund P.S. yes the insides to ball up no matter the size.. my daughter is a size 10 and she has that problem too.

The last 3 pairs I got had problems. One the seams rip on the inside seams and the other 2 the waist band rip. I do love these jeans but now afraid to buy another pair
