A postscript from me - I got my tickets! They were the ones I had paid for as well. Took a lot of hassle but ended up meeting one of their guys at London Bridge at 3.00 - so much for special delivery. I hope all you guys who sold get paid because I paid top dollar! This isn't why I buy my season tickets year after year; there has to be a better way next time.

Hi,

We have had a lot of people complain about not getting tickets and I think I may have found a little respite. I have sold 2 tickets via GTM. From what I have read it looks more then likely I will not get paid. We cant do anything unless 3-5 days have passed and we do not get paid, technically. I would assume thats the reason the police will not get involved on that just yet. I am not a lawyer, but my proffession involves a lot of leagal work and I enjoy taking on big companies that think they can just push the little guy around AND I HATE BEING SCAMMED AND SCAMMERS! (I have had a fair deal of success on a personal level on this).

For people who have paid on there credit card, and I would assume a lot of people, if not all have! Magic words: Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974 . You are covered between £100 - £30 000 if you paid for all or part of the purchase on your CC, just as long as the product cost more then £100.

Are overseas and web purchases protected?Yes. This used to be a hot potato, but in 2006 this got to the Court of Appeal and it confirmed this applies to everything you buy. Whether it’s in the UK, abroad or on a foreign website, Section 75 applies.

This is a real boon, as often if you buy something abroad it’s much more difficult to get in touch with the retailer. So don’t bother, simply make a claim directly against the credit card company.

I think theres a good chance that if a lot of people complain then the credit card company /s may see fit to investigate much further on these individuals. Getting the police also involved is definetly a plus. It shows the credit card companies theres a lot of us and we mean business.

At this point people who have not had there tickets delivered have something to fall back on. For people like me who have not been paid I guess we have to wait for the few days first before we can act.

Do we have any new info / people who have received there tickets / breakthroughs?

Cheers

My feeling is this company will be gone as soon as the football match starts. There would not be a trace. The numbers will not work. By then it''s too late even if the police get involved.
We urgently need to try and find them, they will not be in Spain cus it is clearly a London Land line! We all need to work together here before they vanish!

I have kept ringing to get names off the people who I spoke to in Global Ticket Market. I have got three names Mr Peter Ballard, Mr James Lawrence and Mr James O B'rien. Does anyone have any recollection speaking to any of them?
All the addresses in their webpage is fake and the Dublin office defintely confirmed that they are NOT legally registered.
The police will not get involved until the whistle has blown for kick off and global ticket will not refund the money. I can't take legal action myself if I do not have a CLEAR IDENTITY AND ADDRESS. BUT I WELCOME EVERYONE TO FIND OUT WHERE THEY ARE BASED AS THE POLICE WILL NEED ALL THIS INFORMATION. PHOTOS OF THE PEOPLE WOULD HELP, USE THE CAMERA ON YOUR PHONES.

angry 123 i was trying to sell tickets not recieve them. i would not part with my money or my tickets until i know that what they were saying was true. I have an address and contact name of a women who when i approached with my girlfriend was acting all suspicious as she was not expecting me to turn up. Afeter calling Global they said they would call her and she would have the tickets off me and as soon as she confirms she has the tickets they will transfer the money. I did come accross quite intimerdating as i could tell by her body language she was lying through her teeth. She was in on the act and the area she lived in was run down and was not like she had money to spend. From a legal prespective i do not feel we can do anything however i may be wrong?

Same situation with me. I am a lawyer myself and I shall be taking legal action and getting police involvement should I not receive the tickets by tomorrow! Mugings, did you receive the tickets eventually from them?
I notice that there is no registered UK office. The head office is in Spain and after contacting them, it was found that this company does not exist. There is no records of such office in the compnay house, and after asking the registered UK address after 20 mins, I was still not given the address.
Does anyone have an address for them in UK? I spoke to a Peter Ballard, does this perosn even exist?

We had the same experience, spoke to them and they told us to put 2 tickets for £2, 600 each and said they'd go within 2 hours. Exactly what happened. Address was Portland too. My partner was very suspicious about it as there were cheaper tickets with half info ie TBC on the site. So google street viewed and rang to say the address does not look legit. Was told it was a contract I'd entered they have the money - send the tickets. My Partner rang pretending to be a buyer and aske why site only appeared on UK searches after March and was told it was due to demand of the Champions League Tickets, she asked how they know tickets are real - do they personally inspect them as some descriptions are clearly dodgy. She was told yes and asked if she wanted to buy, she was told to pay £800 on credit card and take £4000 cash to Portland Street to meet seller. She refused saying it was far too dodgy - Guy got very rude to her so she hung up. We changed our mind about sending tickets as they clearly stated only opened up for Champions League Tickets. Also I was told payment would be immediate to me but after the suposed sale was told 5 working days after event. Something does not ring true. I cancelled credit card, changed all my personal details on the site and changed email passwords, rang and told them I am not sending tickets, they become abusive and send to send the tickets or Legal will get me and they will tell the FA I have tried to sell tickets. They said they have never lost out and will get me. Basically they hide behind they are Spanish Co and take genuine tickets off sellers - fake tickets remain on the site to entice other sellers, they then flog on the tickets and also keep your money and there is nothing you can do as it is supposed illegal to sell in UK. They will be long gone by time Champions League final whistle is blown with loads of cash. Website domain was only registered end Feb 2011 - you have been warned.

We were sent a email to send out tickets not trusting global ticket market I went down to deliver tickets to a address down south and the person denied any knowledge of the fact that she paid for tickets. The t&c are something they try and hold against you and they will try and use this to make you believe what they are doing is above board.
Cut a long story short they are stil insisting I send the tickets but I am not trusting this shabby excuse of a website I rather hav the extra leg room. Don't trust this company.

Drove down to London on Monday all the way from Manchester. Thought I go to check it out, was thinking it may be an affluent area, more of a run down.

Any idea how to get the tickets back

Did you send the tickets to that address?

A bunch of african men live there, definitely don't look like someone who would pay a few thousand for the tickets. Very suspicious.

Advise to others, don't send your tickets!

And cancel your credit card, it's a scam!

In their T&C they do say sellers will be paid witih 5 days after teh event to avoid fake tickets being delivered, having said that I bought some tickets for the champions league final, sent a funds transfer since two weeks ago and no tickets yet three days before the game. I have caught people telling me lies, that the seller still hast the tickets, and then that they have the tickets, and they have swapped between these versions a few times. Today they are just hanging the phone on me. Either they are highly uncompetent or a blatant scam --at the moment I'm inclined for latter, either way I will never ever use them again and I am just about to involve the police. AVOID!
